A VILLAGE IN THE CLOUD

The Knight of the Sky plummets through the air, mouth open in a fierce roar. Small winged creatures cling to his armor. Below, the knight’s face fills the panel as he shouts “KNIGHT OF THE SKY!!”. In quick succession, a figure in a polka-dot outfit cries “PIEH~~~”, the knight glares with “COO…”, and a large striped bird spreads its wings with a loud “DON!!” as feathers scatter.

Pierre the great striped bird soars through a rocky, cloud-filled sky toward a distant structure. The knight on its back calls out “PIERRE!!” while an ally urges “WE NEED TO FINISH THIS…”. A bearded man in a black cap grimaces as “PIEH PIEH~~~!!!” sounds. The knight lunges forward, shouting “YOU BASTARD” and “GO!!” as the bird dives and impacts with force.

A goggled warrior with a stern expression declares, “FOOLISH THING, I WILL SHOW YOU MY ANGER TOWARDS THE FOOLISH.” He continues, “…YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE A CRIMINAL TOO….!! WHY HAVE YOU COME HERE…!I” The opponent reacts with “!!I” as the warrior unleashes “TRIAL OF STRING!!!”. Pierre cries out “COO~~~~~!!” amid the clash of wings and impact lines.

High in the sky, a small winged figure tumbles through the clouds with a startled "POOH!" and distant cries of "HUAH, HUAH!" Below, the figure rights itself with a determined "YOSHI!" and dives, trailing motion lines and a loud "SOH" impact. A close-up reveals a young girl with a fluffy hat, wings, and a serious expression, labeled with Japanese text on either side of her face. The scene widens dramatically to a sprawling Shandia village of conical huts, totem poles, and cloud paths. A large sign reads "SHANDIA (GUERRILLA) VILLAGE HIDDEN IN THE CLOUDS" as the girl walks toward the settlement carrying a bag.

Aisa runs into the village as a large warrior with a massive blade and fur collar looms, shouting "WHERE WERE YOUI" while a small creature yelps "WAH!!" and "BIKU!" A close panel shows a goggled warrior with a knife, warning "YOU HAVE 'VEARTH' IN YOUR PURSE, DON'T YOU... IF YOU DON'T STOP DOING THAT, YOU MAY LOSE YOUR LIFE!" Another warrior reacts with shock: "...AH!! KAMAKIRI...!!!" Aisa explodes in anger, tongue out, yelling "BLEH~~~~ BLAH, BLAH, BLAH! IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! YOU STILL CAN'T BEAT ENEL!!" A sign identifies her as "SHANDIA, AISA".

The goggled warrior sneers "LITTLE PUNK." while another figure mutters "TSK..." in the background. A small panel shows a distant figure with "YES." and a thought bubble "CHANCEI" as motion lines fill the sky. Inside a hut, a large masked figure with horns declares "HE THINKS WRONG. THERE ARE NO OTHER ANSWERS IN BATTLE THAN WINNING AND LOSING!!!" while others discuss "WE DON'T KNOW WHY, BUT GAN FALL ENTERED INTO THE UPPER YARD." and "THAT OLD MAN PROBABLY THINKS EVERYTHING ON THIS ISLAND IS GOING TO BE SOLVED SOMEHOW."

A fierce close-up shows a muscular warrior with a massive bazooka, tattoos, and a stern glare. A voice recalls "'TURN ON THE LIGHT OF SHANDORA' GREAT WARRIOR CALGARA ONCE SAID." The warrior states "THOSE WORDS SHOULD BE OUR PRINCIPLE." A sign labels him "SHANDIAN (WARRIOR OF SHANDORA) WAIPA." He continues "IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO OUR ENEMY IS! BE IT EX-GOD GAN FALL OR GOD-ENEL..."

In a grand throne room, a towering warrior with a massive bazooka-like weapon stands before a seated figure, declaring, "BOTH MUST BE ELIMINATED!!!" A large speech bubble explains, "DESPITE THEIR DIFFERENCES, AS LONG AS THEY'RE BOTH 'GODS', THEN TO US, THEY ARE THE SAME!!!" Below, a woman with long dark hair and wing-like accessories speaks seriously: "THIS IS THE FIRST TIME SINCE ENEL TOOK THE THRONE SIX YEARS AGO. WAIPA, THERE WAS SOME RESISTANCE AGAINST ENEL ON ANGEL ISLAND." In the next scene, the same woman continues while facing a masked, tattooed man lounging on a large cushion: "GAN FALL SAVED THAT GIRL FROM JUDGEMENT, SO NOW ENEL HAS AN EXCUSE FOR GETTING RID OF THE EX-GOD." The masked man replies dismissively, "SO WHATI"

The winged woman stands tall, stating firmly, "THAT MAN HE HAS FINALLY STEPPED UPON UPPER YARD!!" and "AS THE KNIGHT OF THE SKY, GAN FALL NEVER HURT ANY OF US, NOR DID HE EVER CONFRONT ENEL HEAD ON..." A close-up shows her intense expression as she challenges, "THE ENEMY'S ENEMY IS OUR FRIEND!! OR ARE YOU SAYING GAN FALL ISN'T OUR ENEMY ANYMOREI" In a small panel, the masked man responds with "......" while she adds, "IT'LL BE GOOD IF HE AND ONE OF THE PRIESTS COULD DIE ON EACH OTHER'S SWORDS." The page ends on a furious close-up of the masked warrior Wyper, who roars, "YOU WILL ONLY BE IN THE WAY!!!! IF YOU ARE UNCERTAIN, DON'T JOIN THE BATTLE, LAKI!!!"

Outside a tent, a young girl in a hooded outfit warns, "DON'T ENTER THE TENT YET." A boy nearby reacts with shock, "WH...WHATI I DIDN'T... UPPER YARD..." while chewing something with "BUCHI" and "CHEW CHEW" sounds. The girl named Aisa exclaims "AH!" as a large impact "DON!!" and "ZUZU!!" shakes the area. In a dramatic spread, the massive warrior Wyper (Jaki) towers with a spear, his presence described as "THAT MAN, WHO INHERITED THE GREAT WARRIOR CALGARA'S BLOOD... IS QUITE ANGRY......" Smaller figures react with "YEAH... THAT'S SCARY" and "SCARIER THAN GOD."

Deep in a massive forest of enormous roots and trees, narration notes, "IT IS... I'VE NEVER THOUGHT THAT ONE WOULD BE BURIED UNDER A TREE. THERE IS NO SENSE OF BALANCE BETWEEN NATURE AND CIVILIZATION." A figure stands among the roots as someone asks, "IS THAT WELL REALLY THAT SIGNIFICANTI" Elsewhere, a woman in a hat examines something while saying, "IT'S THE FIRST TIME I'VE SEEN SUCH A THING. THEY DIDN'T PREDICT THE GROWTH OF THE TREE..." A man with goggles replies, "THERE IS NO WAY TO ENTER THAT FOREST. WE WON'T SEE GOD AT THIS RATE....NONETHELESS, IF WE CAN'T FIGURE OUT A WAY TO CROSS THIS RIVER..." In the final panels, a blonde woman peers through binoculars as a swordsman calls out, "HEY, NAMI! SEE ANYTHING FROM UP THEREI"

High on a rocky cliff, a figure peers through binoculars toward distant structures. "LIPPER YARD......" the observer mutters. A thought balloon adds, "THE ISLAND WHERE GOD LIVES..." Below, two figures stand in a narrow canyon. One calls out, "WHAT DO YOU SEEI" Another urges, "HEY, WHY DON'T YOU SAY SOMETHINGI" and asks, "IS GOD THEREI" The scene cuts to a close-up of Nami, wide-eyed and sweating heavily, gripping her weapon. "CAN IT BEI THIS ISLAND IS..." she whispers as shock lines and "!!I..." surround her face.

A massive bird with rider clashes violently in midair. Impact lines and "BIII!" fill the panel as the rider yells "ZAKE!!!" The bird and rider tumble amid feathers and debris. In the next sequence the rider, now grounded and tense, declares, "I DO NOT THINK I AM ABLE TO BARGAIN WITH YOU!!!" while an opponent reacts with "OOOH~~~~" and another voice exclaims, "SO STRONG! I CAN'T EVEN SEE THEIR MOVEMENTS..." as speed lines and "ギャギャ" sound effects emphasize the overwhelming speed.

The bird rider presses the attack, shouting "HAH!!!" and "YOU ARE STILL LUKEWARM!!!" while diving with wings spread. A small inset shows a wide-eyed observer thinking, "THIS BATTLE... WHATI" Massive impact effects and "ギャギャギャ!!!" erupt across the sky as the rider continues the assault. Below, three shocked faces react in sequence: "AH~~~~!!!" "WAH!!!" and "OH~~~~!!!!" with sweat drops and motion lines conveying panic.

Three figures watch from a rooftop as lightning crashes. One warns, "NEVER BE ANGERED! GOD ENEL SHOULD..." while another notes, "THAT GIRL DID A FOOLISH THING....!" A caption reads "HEAVEN'S JUDGEMENT..." accompanied by large "ゴォォォォォ" sound effects. The bird rider is struck mid-flight, crying "KU!!" as the mount reels. In the final panels a bearded man smiles and says, "LET US CREATE SOMETHING THAT CAN AID THEM IN THEIR ESCAPE!!!" A companion replies, "YES." A winged girl asks, "SAVE THEMI" and another voice wonders, "US...!I" with "smile!" and "Kon Kon!!" visible.

Gan Fall plummets from the sky as his body suddenly grows unbearably heavy. "WHAT IS THISI MY BODY IS SUDDENLY SO HEAVY...!!!!" he cries. A warrior in spotted armor looms over him, shouting "OH!!I" while another armored figure gasps in shock. "...REACHED YOUR LIMIT!I" taunts the masked fighter. Gan Fall struggles on the ground beside his winged steed. "WAHAHAHAHAHA!! HOW IS IT, GAN FALL!I" the enemy laughs. The bird cries "PIEE..." as Gan Fall gasps "GOD!!" and pleads "PLEASE COME BACK...!!!" The warrior demands "WHY!I I CANNOT MOVE MY BODY!! WHY YOU VILLAIN!! WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME!I" A small creature stares in confusion with "III" while Gan Fall's face fills with resolve. "WILL SING AGAIN SOMEDAY IT WILL..." he murmurs. "YES, THE HOLY LAND TO ANSWER A DYING MAN. THERE IS NO NEED" declares the armored man as the scene fades.

The warrior continues his assault. "IN MEMORY OF THOSE DEFEATED!!!" he roars. "BEHOLD THE AMAZING TRIAL OF STRING...!!!" A masked fighter sweats heavily as voices cry "WAAAAH AAH!!" and "DEFEAT GOD ENEL!!" From afar someone shouts "OH YOUNGSTERS FROM FAR AWAY... MAKE ME A PROMISE!! IN UPPER YARD, WATCH OUT FOR THE FOUR PRIESTS' DANGEROUS TRIALS..." Gan Fall lies broken, whispering "KNIGHT OF THE SKY~~~~" as the massive armored attacker is hurled backward in an explosion. "PON!!!" rings out amid flying debris and impact lines while the warrior's body crashes through structures.
