Why a Log Pose is Round

Amid the collapsing ruins, a voice commands, “Have him drink this quickly.” A small vial tumbles through the air with “タラン” sound effects. “It'll neutralize Crocodile's poison...” someone notes. In the grand hall of Poneglyphs, Nico Robin stands before the massive stone, declaring, “THERE'S ONLY HISTORY WRITTEN HERE. IT'S NOT RECORDED.” A shocked voice cries, “WHATI” From the rubble, a figure observes, “If he's a rubber human... Then he just might survive. Even if the rubble buries him.”

Crocodile's face fills the panel, sweat dripping as he demands, “WHY... DID YOU LIE TO HIMI” In the ruined hall, Robin replies calmly, “The history of this country is not carved onto that stone... There should only be information about the 'weapon,' Which your organization seeks...!” Crocodile retorts, “What a naughty king... Oh, you know...I” Amid falling debris, Crocodile clutches a fallen man and growls, “This country would have fallen into his hands... Am I wrongI Had you told Crocodile the truth, At that moment, Even where it's located...”

Nico Robin lounges amid the wreckage, stating, “I couldn't care less about that. I never intended to hand the 'weapon' over to Crocodile in the first place. I don't know, I'm not interested... In a ruined chamber filled with ancient stone blocks covered in strange script, Crocodile stares at the wreckage while Nico Robin stands before a massive poneglyph. Sweat drips down her face as she speaks. "Out of all the poneglyphs in this world, the only one which speaks of 'True History'...!" Crocodile growls, "What's that supposed to be...!I 'True HistoryI'" Robin continues, "For 20 years... I've searched and searched, and I could find no leads better than this one. You don't need to know......This was my final hope. And... it turned out to be the wrong one." She kneels amid the rubble, eyes shadowed. "All I wanted was to know 'History'... If I'm to die here, then that's fine. I'm tired of following down this path in life..."

Robin smiles bitterly through tears. "BUT MY DREAM HAD TOO MANY ENEMIES." Crocodile reacts with shock as the chamber begins to collapse around them. "CAN THE 'UNTOLD HISTORY'... ACTUALLY BE CONSTRUCTED...!I ARE YOU SAYING THAT'S WHAT THE 'PONEGLYPHS' RECORD!I" A dark figure dashes through the falling debris. Crocodile shouts, "WAIT, LET ME ASK YOU...!" Robin looks on as impacts and crashes echo. "THEN WHY HAVE WE..."

Luffy bursts onto the scene, landing amid the rubble. "Alright. Let's head up." Robin, still on the ground, cries out, "No, wait! I have no purpose left in life...! Just leave me behind!" Luffy turns with a fierce glare and yells, "WHY the hell should I listen to youI" The ruins shake with more falling debris as the confrontation intensifies.

On the deck of the Going Merry at sea, Robin stands facing the crew. Luffy points dramatically. "You made me live when I wished for death... That is your crime..." Robin replies, "I have no place to go nor return to. So let me stay on this ship." The Straw Hats react with surprise. Luffy grins widely and shouts, "She's not a bad guy! Don't worry!" Usopp, Sanji, and Chopper stand nearby as the ship sails onward.

Nico Robin sits calmly on the deck and answers the crew's questions. "ArchaeologistI" "Sort of my family trade. For 20 years, I've had to live hiding from the marines. Since 8, I was an archaeologist, and had my head placed on a bounty." Usopp leans in, asking, "What would you say is your specialtyI" Robin replies with quiet confidence, "Hm, you sound confident... Thanks to that, I'm quite skilled with moving behind the scenes. That should come in handy for your crew." She continues, "Since a child can't sail the seas alone, I placed myself under the care of many villains by following their orders." Luffy suddenly reacts in shock, shouting, "LUFFY! AFTER CAREFUL INVESTIGATION, I'VE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THIS WOMAN IS WAY TOO DANGEROUS!" as a loud ガタン!! echoes. Robin smiles softly and says, "Assassination." with a small heart beside the word.

Usopp and Chopper tumble across the deck in panic. "Wahh!" "GRAB!" "AOH!" with sound effects コターン!! and スルル. Chopper's arm sprouts from the floor as he yells. Robin watches from the side with a slight smile, remarking, "Pathetic. Getting handled so easily..." In the background the crew scrambles with loud crashes バーン ダラララ and cries of "ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING!I" Nami sits on the railing and confronts Robin directly: "You won't fool me! I'll kick you out at the first sign of suspicious activity!" Robin answers calmly, "Fufu... Sure, I'll keep that in mind." She adds, "He's crazy for even accepting in the first place. You were the vice president of a secret criminal organization. A partner to Crocodile, for crying out loud! Even if you've fooled Luffy," while the crew continues to flail behind her.

Sanji reacts with alarm, muttering, "Damn her under-handed tactics... Nami's been bought!" while Usopp sweats nervously. Nami leans close to Sanji, cooing, "WHOA, WHOA, WHOA, THERE... Ohh, I love you so much, sister! Oh by the way, I've brought some of Crocodile's jewels with me." with sparkles and キラッ...!! ピカ!! effects. Sanji melts, hearts in his eyes, replying, "Ahh, love!" Nearby, Robin sits at a table and politely accepts a snack from Sanji, saying, "Oh, thank you." while he internally monologues poetic lines about drifting love and her jet-black body. Usopp watches in disbelief and complains, "What a troublesome bunch we have for a crew!" as Luffy stands nearby with arms crossed, declaring, "Looks like we're the last bastions."

The crew erupts into chaos with wild flailing and sound effects うひゃひゃ ダャハハッ and PFFT! ドーン. Chopper yells, "Chopper!" while Luffy sticks out his tongue. Robin stands on the deck and asks, "Is it always this livelyI" Sanji answers from the side, "...Yeah, pretty much." She smiles and says, "How nice..." In a close-up, Sanji narrows his eyes and thinks, "WHAT IS SHE PLOTTING...!I" while Robin simply replies, "Oh." with a gentle, unreadable smile.

The Going Merry sails across open water under scattered clouds. From the crow's nest, a voice calls, "Straight West-Northwest! Everything's A-OK, sister! ♥" Another coos, "...She gave you some jewels, didn't sheI" Sanji's voice shouts from below, "SANJI! WHEN ARE THE SNACKS COMING!I WAIT A LITTLE MORE!" On deck, Usopp lifts weights and mutters, "HmI RainI" Nami replies confidently, "Fall, ehI Fall's fine by me too!" Robin stands with arms crossed and notes, "The log after Alabaster should lead to a fall island." Nami turns to Luffy, who grins beneath his hat, and asks, "...You still want to see snowI" Luffy answers, "Nami, you think there'll be snow at the next islandI" Suddenly something plummets from above. Usopp looks up in surprise, "HuhI" A voice cuts in, "I think something's falling d-" Robin calmly states, "No," while Nami wonders, "Is it hailI" Someone else observes, "I don't think this is rain..."

A massive, burning galleon plummets through the sky toward the sea, its masts broken and debris scattering. Text boxes frame the impossible sight: "Everything that humans can imagine," and below, "Can happen in reality. -Physicist Willy Gallon-" The tiny Going Merry sails directly beneath the falling wreckage.

The crew stares upward in shock. Usopp's eyes bulge as he yells, "A GALLEON...!I" Nami's face twists in alarm. Zoro sweats heavily, thinking, "A FALLING SHIP." Luffy's jaw drops, eyes wide. Robin stands tense, while Chopper's face fills with panic, "WHAT THE..." The burning galleon crashes into the ocean right beside the Merry, sending up a massive explosion of water and debris that rocks the ship violently.

The impact hurls the crew across the deck. Usopp flies through the air screaming, "AAAAA GGGHH HHHHH!" Luffy yells, "THERE'S STILL MORE STUFF FALLING DOWN! WATCH OUT!" Usopp clutches his head, "A DREAM! YES, I MUST BE DREAMING!" Chopper panics, "W-WHAT, WHAT, WHAT!I" Someone shouts, "HOLD TIGHT ONTO THE SHIP!" Usopp collapses in relief, "Whew, that's a relief. A DREAM!I" The crew scrambles as waves toss the ship. Nami orders, "And then slowly open them again. There's nothing to worry about. Just close your eyes like so." Luffy cries, "Alight! HmI Usopp!I" while Sanji warns, "Luffy! Protect the ship! She can't take much more!" Zoro grips the wheel, "AS IF THAT'D WORK WITH THESE WAVES! TURN THE RUDDER!" The sea begins to calm as the crisis passes.

A massive skeletal figure with a bandana and tattered clothes screams in terror, mouth wide open as it yells "GAHHHH!". Nearby, another grinning skeleton tumbles through swirling debris and motion lines. Below, smaller panels show more skeletons plummeting from the sky onto a wrecked ship. One skeleton shouts "SKELETOONNNNS!" while another yells "DON'T THROW IT AT ME, YOU IDIOT!" and "AGHHH! A SKELETON!" Text notes "THERE'S MORE FALLING DOWN!" as impact sounds like "ズゴォォォ" and "ポキン!!!" ring out. The bottom wide panel reveals a devastated shoreline littered with broken shipwrecks, scattered planks, and debris under a cloudy sky, with motion lines indicating the sudden rain of bones and wreckage.

The Straw Hats react in shock on the wrecked ship. Usopp clutches his head and cries "What's wrong, Nami!I" while Sanji asks "AHH! What do we do!I" Nami stares upward in disbelief. Someone mutters "Talk about bizarre...!" and "There doesn't seem to be anything else up in the sky..." A voice wonders "Why did... A ship fall down from the sky...!I" Nami examines the Log Pose up close; its needle spins wildly before locking straight up with a "PLINK...!" She exclaims "IT'S STUCK POINTING UP!" and "THE LOG POSE IS... BROKEN!" Another crew member suggests "There must be another island nearby..." and questions whose magnetic field is stronger. Nami realizes with sweat on her face: "TO A 'SKY ISLAND'......!!!" and "THAT MEANS THE LOG POSE HAS LOCKED ON..." The crew stares in stunned silence marked by "!!!I"
