Rebellion

A massive ship smashes into the port of a domed city, sending debris and smoke flying. Townspeople shout in panic: “IT'S CRASHED AGAINST THE PORT!” and “WHAT'S WRONG WITH THIS SHIP!I”. In the lower panel, royal guards race through the streets as flames spread. One yells “QUICKLY! PUT THE FIRES OUT!” while another cries “THE ROYAL GUARDS SET FIRE TO THE TOWN! WE'VE GOTTA PUT IT OUT!”. Smoke and impact lines fill the chaotic scene.

Miss Valentine stands with hands on hips, declaring “And meet up with Mr. Z...”. In three small panels she sways and says “Leave this town.”, “We should.”, and “Now then.” with musical notes. A close-up shows a bald man licking his finger and stating “I’m looking forward to it already...”. Beside him, Miss Valentine and the bald man discuss their next job at Alubarna. At the bottom, Mr. 2 Bon Clay spins dramatically, shouting “GAHAHAHA! UNCERTAINTY! OH, HOW I LOVE THAT WORD ‘UNCERTAINTY’! JUST LIKE MYSELF, WHOSE GENDER IS UNCERTAIN!” while striking a flamboyant pose. Smaller text boxes read “OR AN OCTOFAIT...” and “OR THE KING OF THIS COUNTRY, WHOSE SANITY REMAINS UNCERTAIN!”.

A helmeted child stares in shock, exclaiming “The king transformed into a weird crossdresser...I” and “THAT KING... WAS AN IMPOSTOR!”. Nearby townspeople react with confusion. In the streets, figures run while shouting “CURSE THE KING!” and “Where’s BanchiI”. Another panel shows a man yelling “At the western edge of the town, Mr. 2 Bon Kurei!”. Below, an old man is knocked back with “Oof!” and “I’ve gotta tell them!” as people flee in panic, crying “Everyone’s been duped!” and “OH NO!” amid impact sounds and motion lines.

A tall man in a flowing robe marked with the kanji '吉' glares angrily and declares, 'That stupid queer slipped up big-time...!' Beside him, a curvaceous woman with wild curly hair smokes a pipe and smirks, 'What a naughty boy... Did you find out about something you're not supposed to know...I' In the next panels, a sudden strike lands with a loud 'AGHH!' and impact lines. A man with a headband stares in shock, sweat flying, asking 'Who are you...I' Below, the town burns out of control. Panicked citizens shout 'DAMN IT, IT'S NO GOOD! THE FIRE'S SPREADING TOO FAST!', 'PUT OUT THE FIRES!', 'YOU DUMBASS! THIS ISN'T THE TIME FOR THAT! THE TOWN'S BURNING!', 'HEY, WAIT! THAT'S MY STORE'S GOODS YOU'RE USING! ARE YOU GONNA PAY FOR THAT OR WHAT!I', 'WATER! WE NEED MORE WATER!', and 'RUN AWAY!' as flames and smoke engulf buildings and barrels.

A furious man with wild hair and a black hat roars, 'THE ROYAL GUARDS HURT A LITTLE KID!I' Nearby, a black-haired man in a tank top kneels over an injured child and cries 'MY GOD! DON'T TELL ME...' while asking the boy 'KID, ARE YOU ALRIGHT!I' The child coughs weakly. An angry crowd member yells 'YOU'VE GOT THE WRONG IDEA...!' and 'YOU'VE ALL BEEN TRICKED!' as the rescuer warns 'Don't try to talk or you might make it worse!' and promises 'Don't worry, we'll stop the bleeding soon!' The boy continues coughing. In the lower panels, Kouza embraces the injured child and calls his name. Townspeople shout 'We need a doctor over here!', 'The hospital's on fire!', 'Hang in there, kid!', 'Are you alright!I' and 'THOSE WEREN'T THE REAL ROYAL GUARDS!' as smoke rises from the distant town.

Kouza cradles the injured child while an older man with a cloak leans over them, calling 'Kouza!' In a close-up, Kouza's face is grim as he thinks 'To put an end to this country...!' and declares 'It's time...' A striped-hat man protests 'But Kouza! We still don't have enough weapons!' Kouza replies 'And tell them to prepare for the final battle...' while a large man in armor raises his fist and orders 'Contact all detachments.' Smoke and distant figures fill the burning street behind them.

The wild-haired man in the hat says 'It's like a sign from the heavens...' while the striped-hat man asks 'SeriouslyI' The cloaked man explains 'Not quite! The huge ship that just crashed into the port was a trade ship stocked full of weapons and munitions!' A small ship labeled 'Buru' speeds along with a man in a hat laughing 'GAHAHAHA!' and taunting 'Well, excuse me, princess!' and 'What, some brat saw me!I' Below, the curly-haired woman laughs 'GAHAHAHA!' and gloats 'Abducting the King was probably a piece of cake for them!' while a man in a hat adds 'Don't worry, that fatass and cranky granny can pull through when it matters!' and 'As long as Mr. 4 and his partner have done their job...' The woman concludes 'Now then.' with motion lines and 'ドドドッ' sound effects as the vehicle races away.

A cloaked rebel leader stands on a high platform before a massive crowd, arms raised dramatically as he shouts, "AND THE TIME TO SWEEP AWAY ITS ROTTING CARCASS HAS COME!" and "LISTEN UP! THE ALABASTA YOU KNEW AND LOVED IS NOW DEAD!" The crowd erupts in approval with a huge "RIGHT ON!" sound effect. He continues, "WE WILL LAUNCH A FULL-SCALE ATTACK ON THE CAPITAL!" An older man in striped clothing near the front yells, "BRING THE KING TO JUSTICE!" The sea of armed rebels cheers wildly, waving weapons and banners against the city skyline.

A sign reads "Alabastan Capital Alubarna" over the distant city. A furious man with a long face and sharp teeth roars, "THAT'S RIDICULOUS!" and "THAT REPORT MUST BE A MISTAKE! THERE'S NOT A CHANCE THE KING WOULD DO SUCH A THING!" Nearby, another man with a headband and beads snaps, "THERE ISN'T ANY VALID EXCUSE WE CAN GIVE AT THE MOMENT!" while a third figure adds, "AS IT WOULD TAKE FAR TOO LONG TO GET FROM ALUBARNA TO NANOHANA... BUT THE KING'S BEEN REPORTED MISSING FOR EXACTLY THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME." Sweat and shock cover their faces.

Royal officials report to a tall man in a dark cloak: "EVEN MANY CITIZENS WHO'VE BELIEVED IN THE KING UNTIL NOW," "AND THE REBELS HAVE GROWN EVEN MORE OUT OF CONTROL AS THEY VOICE THEIR OUTRAGE!" "NOT ONLY THAT, NEWS OF THE INCIDENT AT NANOHANA HAS ALREADY SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE KINGDOM." In a chaotic battle scene, soldiers clash violently with "KAPPA" impact effects as narration states, "THE FLAMES OF REBELLION SHOW NO SIGNS OF STOPPING! WE DON'T HAVE THE NUMBERS TO SUPPRESS ALL THE REVOLTS!" and "HAVE TURNED THEIR BACKS ON KING COBRA AND RAISED ARMS!" A panicked man yells, "IT'S TOO LATE TO STOP THEM FROM ATTACKING! THE WHOLE POPULACE IS READY TO STRIKE AT ALUBARNA!"

Royal Guards salute and cry, "WE SHALL GLADLY FOLLOW YOUR EVERY LAST ORDER!" and "PLEASE, SIR! YOU MUST GIVE THE ORDER TO MOBILIZE THE ARMY!" A close-up shows a trembling hand and inner thoughts: "WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO...!I WHO AM I SUPPOSED TO BELIEVE IN...I" followed by narration, "THIS IS AN ABSURD TURN OF EVENTS... THE KING'S WORDS I HEARD ONLY THE DAY BEFORE ARE ALREADY TURNING HAZY IN MY MIND..." A determined guard declares, "We are Alabasta's Royal Guards!" and another answers, "Fine, if it's come to this, then so be it!" as a loud "バン!!" rings out.

A tall, imposing man in ornate robes and a large necklace stands atop a raised platform, arms raised as he shouts to the assembled forces. "WE SHALL DEFEND THE TRUTH WE SEE WITH OUR OWN EYES! WE SHALL DEFEND THIS KINGDOM!" he declares, while another voice adds, "WE CANNOT ALLOW THE KINGDOM TO FALL JUST BECAUSE THE KING IS ABSENT!" Below, a massive crowd of soldiers in the palace courtyard raises swords and spears high. "AND ENGAGE THE REBEL ARMY!" the commander continues. "ALL TROOPS WILL HEREBY MOVE OUT," he orders. The soldiers roar in unison, "OHHHH!" as they surge forward, the grand domed palace and palm trees visible behind them under a dramatic sky.

Narration boxes recount the escalating crisis: "The rebellion's leader Kouza was shot!" and "The rebel force is apparently mounting a full-scale attack on the capital!" A wide view shows the royal palace in the distance across sandy dunes. "To think the King and the Royal Guards would come out like that..." In the next sequence, a mustached officer on a rearing camel shouts, "ALL SOLDIERS PREPARE FOR BATTLE!" while another yells, "LET US TAKE THE KING'S HEAD!" and "DOWN WITH THE KING AND ALL-BARNA!" Troops respond, "YES, SIR!" Elsewhere, a massive crocodile-like creature laughs wildly atop a striped casino building, "HAHAHA!" and "KUHAHAHA!"

Close-ups show Nami sweating with concern, Luffy gritting his teeth in shock, "Ngh!", Usopp with goggles looking tense, and Sanji glaring seriously. Narration explains, "And the masterstroke is how those tearing Alabasta apart... Baroque Works' grand plan in which even you participated in has now reached its finale..." Inside a grand hall, Crocodile stands with his back turned as a voice notes, "If you listen carefully, you can almost hear Alabasta's death throes." The scene cuts to a furious man shouting, "NOOO!" while others cry, "WE WILL DEFEND ALABASTA!" and "STOP THIS MADNESS!"

Crocodile smirks in the ruined hall, declaring, "...Depraved is the perfect word to describe this lunatic. Is what will bring it to its destruction! Doesn't that bring a tear to your eyeI Their love for country," as a woman laughs, "Hahaha!" Flashbacks show him explaining, "I had to recruit hundreds of members and have them hunt bounties so that I could raise enough money to buy silver, the key ingredient in manufacturing Dance Powder..." and "Haha... Looking back, I've had to do so many things to get to where I am today..." Luffy strains against the cage bars, growling, "IF IT WEREN'T FOR THIS CAGE, I'D... DAMN IT!" Further flashbacks depict Crocodile's long-term sabotage: building false trust, training men to impersonate Royal Guards, and destroying irrigation canals.

Vivi stands with a serious expression as Mr. 2 (Bon Clay) leans in close, tongue out, questioning her. A voice asks, "Do you know why I've put myself through all this trouble and try to take over your country, Ms. Wednesday...I" Another remarks, "What an ill-mannered princess you are..." Mr. 2 reacts with surprise, "HmI What do you think you're doing, Ms. WednesdayI" as he is suddenly kicked hard, sent flying with a loud "ガタン!!" impact. Vivi shouts from the floor, "IF I HEAD EAST RIGHT NOW... Vivi... I CAN STILL MAKE IT! I'LL STOP YOUR PLANS!" Luffy and others watch from behind a barred window in the background.

Vivi declares with determination, "THERE'S STILL A SMALL CHANCE THAT I CAN STOP THE REBELS!" A map shows Rainbase and the path to Alubarna where the Royal Army faces the Rebels. She continues, "I MIGHT JUST BE ABLE TO REACH ALUBARNA BEFORE THE REBELS DO!" Crocodile smiles and replies, "Oh, what a coincidence! My associate and I... To ask your father a question...! Are you also going to be on our way to Alubarna," while holding up a large key. Vivi turns in shock, demanding, "Wha... WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DO WITH MY FATHER!I" Crocodile asks, "ConcernedI I wonder what's more important to you... Your father or your peopleI In any case, whether you come along or not is your choice..."

Crocodile demands, "HAND IT OVER, YOU BASTARD!" as he reaches toward the cell. Vivi gasps, "A key!I Is that the... THAT'S THE KEY TO THIS CAGE, ISN'T IT!I" The key is dropped into a trapdoor mechanism with a "DROP" and "カチャン" sound. Vivi screams "AHHH!I" as the floor gives way beneath her. She falls through a long shaft, hearing "Miss Wednesday... You're free to choose," while the key clangs down separately with "CLANG!" and heavy impact sounds.
