TIN-PLATE WAPOL

Far out on the open sea, the Going Merry sails under a bright sky. A large speech bubble asks, “THE HECK ARE YOU ASKING, ZOROI” while another wonders, “CAN A PERSON STAND ON TOP OF AN OCEANI” accompanied by the sound effect ヒュオオオオ. Sanji peers through binoculars, sweat flying, and demands, “HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THATI” The panel continues with the word “THEN…”. Below, Luffy, Usopp, and a wide-eyed crewmate stare in shock; Luffy blurts “WHATI” while Usopp gasps “HUHI” as the ship rocks on the waves.

A towering, fur-coated man with a thick mustache and arrows on his back stands dramatically on the water’s surface, one arm raised high. Massive onomatopoeia “どーん” and “く!” explode across the panel while “SPLASH” bubbles appear at his feet. In the next tier, Luffy and Usopp gape from the ship’s railing, sweat drops flying. A massive mechanical dome rises beneath the Going Merry. A voice commands, "INCREASING BUOYANCY!" and "RAISE THE SHIP!" The vessel is violently lifted into the air amid heavy impact lines and water spray. Luffy tumbles inside the ship, shouting "AHHHH HHH!" as the structure shakes violently.

Luffy is thrown about inside the shaking ship, yelling "AGHHH!" and "WHAT'S THAT!I" while spotting a round object labeled "A WATER-MELON!I" Nami grips the helm and shouts, "HEY, HANG TIGHT TO THE HELM UP THERE! IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO NAMI, I'LL HAVE YOUR HEADS FOR IT!" Sanji and Usopp react in panic as the ship continues to quake. Below, the crew stares upward at a massive structure while someone says, "IS THIS THING... A SHIP...!I"

The Going Merry is slammed by a giant mechanical submersible shaped like a crowned skull. The vessel crashes with loud "KATHUNK!" and impact sounds. A triumphant voice laughs "MAHA HAHAH AHA!" as the sub emerges. Wapol's flag waves while he boasts from the hatch, "HAS MY SUBMERSIBLE AMBUSH-SHIP 'TIN CAN KING' LEFT YOU SPEECHLESS!I" The crew stares in shock as the text "SURPRI-SED!I" appears.

Underwater, Sanji glares tensely. "WHY NOW OF ALL TIMES..." Luffy bursts out in shock, "WHOA..." Wapol's massive jaws gape in panic, "A PIRATE SHIP!I OH CRAP!" Inside the ship, Sanji dashes forward shouting, "WHAT'S GOING ON OUT THERE!I" while calling back, "VIVI, I'LL LEAVE HER WITH YOU FOR NOW!" Vivi kneels over the injured Nami as an unseen voice yells "OK!" and "ゼロ!!" Sanji lands a powerful kick with a loud "ばん!!" Luffy stares wide-eyed, "WE WERE AMBUSHED." Sanji mutters "HM..." as a blade flashes and someone yells "STRIKE!" Luffy asks nervously, "WHAT'S GOING ON...I" while Sanji, cigarette in mouth, glances aside with "...WELLI"

Sanji stands amid the chaos on the deck, surrounded by armored figures. "FROM THE LOOKS OF IT... WE'RE IN A REAL HURRY, YOU KNOW." He lights a cigarette as the enemy charges with a massive "ばんっ!!" Below, Wapol devours weapons and armor in rapid bites, "ムシャ ムシャ ムシャ", while muttering "HMM..." A voice notes, "THAT MAKES 4 PEOPLE IN TOTAL..." Wapol's eyes widen in disbelief, "AAAAA THERE CAN'T BE ONLY 4 PEOPLE ON THIS SHIP..."

Wapol looms in a massive close-up, fur coat and spiked armor gleaming, eyes gleaming with menace. He crunches down on metal with repeated "CRUNCH" sounds. A sign identifies him as "TIN CAN KING PIRATES CAPTAIN 'TIN-PLATE WAPOL'". He growls, "WELL, WHATEVER... LET ME ASK YOU SOMETHING..."

Wapol's jaws clamp down on a knife, "バツ ガツ", as Luffy recoils in horror, "THE HELL!I HE ATE THROUGH THAT KNIFE WHOLE!" Sanji winces, "ACK!" and "カキ...ゴキ..." Wapol leans in with a sinister grin, "DO YOU HAPPEN TO HAVE AN ETERNAL POSE OR EVEN A LOG POSE ON YOUI WE WISH TO HEAD FOR DRUM KINGDOM." He continues, "OH THERE'S NO NEED TO RUSH THROUGH LIFE LIKE THAT... WELL, IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT, THEN I MIGHT AS WELL TAKE ALL YOUR TREASURES AND YOUR SHIP INSTEAD." Sanji replies coolly, "IF YOU'RE DONE ASKING, HURRY UP AND GO AWAY." Luffy shouts "WHAT!I" as Wapol's crew reacts, "NO... AND WE'VE NEVER EVEN HEARD OF THAT PLACE BEFORE..."

Wapol looms over the deck of the ship, jaws wide open as he begins to devour the vessel. "I'M FEELING A BIT PECKISH..." he mutters, then pauses mid-bite. "BUT HOLD ON..." A massive "ガッ!!" sound effect erupts as his teeth clamp down. Luffy stares in shock from the side. "WHA!I" he yells as the ship structure cracks loudly with a "CRACK!" and a huge "ベキッ...!!!" impact. Wapol's face twists in irritation while he continues chewing. "IS WITH THIS DUDE!I" someone shouts. "WHAT THE HELL," another voice demands as Wapol munches loudly with "CHEW" and "MUNCH! MUNCH!" sounds.

Luffy stands with his back to the viewer, facing Wapol who is still clamped onto the ship. "YOU EVEN HAVE AN ANCHOR ROPE FOR ME! OHH!" Wapol exclaims excitedly. "DON'T EAT OUR SHIP!" Luffy shouts. Crew members including a man with a topknot and others point weapons and yell "SHOOT!" A subordinate in a black outfit warns, "DON'T YOU DARE MOVE! HIS HIGHNESS IS IN THE MIDDLE OF HIS MEAL!" Luffy glares angrily as "SHADDUP!" is shouted. Wapol continues eating while the crew panics. "HE'S RESISTING!" someone yells amid the chaos.

Sanji and Zoro prepare to fight as Wapol's massive form looms. "W-WAIT! I'M SURE WE CAN TALK THIS OUT!" a voice pleads while "SHUFFLE" and "ドン" sounds play. Sanji smirks, "SHOULD'VE DONE THIS FROM THE BEGINNING. SO CAN I BEAT THEIR ASSES NOWI" with "BLINK" and "DON" effects. Below, Wapol's bizarre ship with wheels and a crown-like structure floats on the sea. In a close-up, Wapol and a cloaked subordinate watch coldly. "FOOLS RUSHING TO THEIR DEATHS..." Wapol growls. "HA." the subordinate replies. "STARTING THE BATTLE THEMSELVES...I"

Inside a wooden room, Nami and Carue react to sudden danger. "I'LL BE RIGHT BACK AWAY!" Nami says as Carue quacks "QUACK!" A sign reads "CARUE! KEEP A CLOSE EYE ON NAMI!" "GUNSHOTS!I" Nami gasps. Outside, a massive "RECEPTION!" kick from Sanji sends enemies flying with huge impact lines and "ズババババ" sounds. "SIR, THESE PIRATES ARE..." a subordinate reports. Wapol's men are struck hard, one yelling "ACK! YOU OUGHTA LEARN SOME MANNERS..." while another groans "HMPH, ALL TALK AND NOTHING TO SHOW FOR..." amid "AGHHHHHH!" screams and "ズバババ" effects.

Wapol looms over the deck of the Going Merry, jaws wide as he bites into the ship. Luffy clings to the mast, shouting, "AHHHH! STILL TRYING TO EAT OUR SHIP!I" Wapol smirks and replies, "THIS SHIP AIN'T BAD..." Below, crew members panic as Wapol's subordinates cheer, "HE'LL BE EATEN ALIVE BY THE POWER OF THE 'BAKU BAKU FRUIT.'" and "HAHAHA! THAT IDIOT THINKS HE CAN FIGHT HIS MAJESTY!" Luffy turns sharply, "HMI" and calls out, "HEY YOU!" Wapol lunges forward with a massive chomp, "AGH!" Luffy is sent flying as someone yells, "LUFFY!I" SFX of heavy bites and impacts fill the panels.

Inside the ship, Sanji stands with swords drawn, asking, "SHE'S... WHAT'S GOING ONI" Nami waves from the doorway, "OH HEY, VIVI. HOW'S NAMI DOINGI" Sanji notices something odd, "HMI WHAT'S THIS LONG THING HANGING OUTI" Outside on the sea, a giant hand reaches toward the distant Going Merry. Wapol continues chewing the ship while Vivi reacts in shock, "AH-" and glares, "WHY YOU..." Wapol comments, "HMM... A TOUGH ONE TO CHEW THROUGH, AREN'T YOU..." with heavy chomping SFX.

Luffy rockets forward with a powerful kick, shattering Wapol's face and sending the king flying backward amid debris. Wapol yells, "GET OFF OF MY SHIP!" Vivi watches in alarm, thinking, "THAT MAN IS...!" On the deck, Wapol's subordinates stare in disbelief, one stammering, "YOUR MAJESTY...I" Impact lines and flying fragments emphasize the force of the blow.
