A large broadcast screen shows Hody Jones addressing the crowd in Sweet Factory Town. He declares, "I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL YOU. PEOPLE OF FISHMAN ISLAND AND THE RYUGUGU KINGDOM." Onlookers recognize him: "THAT'S THE SAME MAN WHO SHOT QUEEN OTOHIME'S ASSASSIN... THE FORMER SOLDIER...!!!" and "SO HE'S THE ONE BEHIND ALL THIS...!!!" In a massive close-up, Hody bares his teeth and proclaims, "I AM......YOUR NEW KING!!! THIS COUNTRY...WILL BE DESTROYED!!! AND THEN, IT WILL BE REBORN...!!!" The crowd reacts with shock as "!!!" sound effects punctuate the moment.

Panic spreads across Coral Hill as citizens react to a sudden broadcast. "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STRAW HAT PIRATESI! DIDN'T THEY TAKE OVER THE PALACEI!" "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE KING...I!" Another warns, "ANYONE WHO DESIRES PEACE WITH THE HUMANS..." Hody Jones appears on screen, gripping a Den Den Mushi, his muscular frame and fur coat unmistakable. He rallies his audience: "COMRADES WHO SHARE IN OUR HATRED OF THE HUMANS......AND WHO WISH TO BRING CHANGE TO THIS ISLAND! SOON, NEW CITIZENS WILL ARRIVE IN OUR COUNTRY......FROM THE FISHMAN DISTRICT...!!!"

Hody continues his broadcast, his eye glaring from the screen. "I KNOW THAT MOST OF YOU WITNESSED THE DEATH OF OUR BELOVED QUEEN OTOHIME!!!" Citizens recoil in shock. "...TO LIVE HERE ON THE ISLAND...I!" "TH... THOSE OUTLAWS ARE ALL GOING..." "WHATI! 'NEW CITIZENS '...I!" Hody presses on: "WHY CAN YOU FOOLS NOT SEE THATI!!! IF WE BELIEVE IN THE HUMANS, AND ATTEMPT TO APPROACH THEM WITH OPEN ARMS......THEY WILL ONLY BETRAY US AS THEY BETRAYED HER!!!" The crowd erupts in outrage. A swordsman fish-man yells, "THAT FIEND....!!" while others bare their teeth in fury.

The scene shifts to the Ocean Forest. Hody's voice echoes: "YOU HAVE ALL BEEN GOADED WILLINGLY TO YOUR DEATHS!! OPEN YOUR EYES TO THE TRUTH!! THE WORDS OF THE FAMILY OF NEPTUNE HAVE DULLED YOUR MINDS." A small ship rests near the seabed as the broadcast continues. In the forest, a long-haired woman stands beside a suited man while a striped-hatted figure sweats nervously. The woman gasps, "...OH, NO..." The view cuts to Monkey D. Luffy's intense close-up, his eyes wide and serious. He declares, "SEE FOR YOURSELVES....!!"

Neptune is shown chained and bound to a massive pillar, his body slumped. Hody stands over him with a weapon, proclaiming, "YOUR BELOVED NEPTUNE HAS GROWN OLD....!!! THIS ONCE-MIGHTY WARRIOR..." The three princes and Shirahoshi react in horror. "FATHER!!" "FATHER!!" "FATHER!!" Citizens cry out, "HIS MAJESTY.....!!" Neptune grunts in pain, "...NGHH....!!" as the crowd watches the brutal display.

Fish-men shout in panic as one cries, "B - BUT BOSS JIMBEI-SAN! IT WAS THE NEPTUNE ARMY SOLDIERS WHO ATTACKED NAMI-CHIN AND THE OTHERS!" Another adds, "IT WAS ALL A BIG MISTAKE...!!" Hody Jones snarls back, "WHAT HAVE YOU PEOPLE BEEN PLAYING ATI!" A crewmate replies, "...WELL, MAINLY ZORO'S..." while another admits, "IT'S KIND OF OUR FAULT... THAT THE KING GOT CAPTURED LIKE THAT..." The scene shifts to a sweeping view of the old Ryugu Kingdom under the sea. Hody's face fills a panel as he declares, "IT IS TIME FOR US TO SAY GOODBYE... TO THE OLD RYUGUU KINGDOM." Nami clutches her face in horror, vowing, "...I WILL STRIKE THE HEAD FROM THIS WORTHLESS KING'S SHOULDERS!!!" Hody announces, "IN THREE HOURS TIME, AT GYONCORD PLAZA..."

Hody Jones stands holding an old letter, declaring, "IF I DESTROY IT NOW, IT WILL NEVER BE REPLACED. AND HERE IN THIS BOX BEHIND ME......THAT QUEEN OTOHIME RISKED HER LIFE TO OBTAIN TEN YEARS AGO!! He reads from the document: "THE PEOPLE WHOSE NAMES ARE WRITTEN IN THIS BOX HAVE MADE CLEAR THEIR OPPOSITION TO MY NEW KINGDOM. IN OTHER WORDS, THIS IS......WOULD CONSENT TO THE FOOLISH NOTION OF JOINING HANDS IN HARMONY WITH THE HUMANS... JAHAHAH... Hody continues, "THESE SIGNATURES ARE THE UNSHAKABLE PROOF OF WHO STANDS WITH ME AND WHO IS AGAINST ME!!! THAT IS A TEST THAT ANYONE CAN CLEAR IF THEY HAVE THE COURAGE TO CONCEAL THEIR TRUE BELIEFS. THERE WILL BE NO MORE TREADING ON THE IMAGES OF OTOHIME." A fish-man cries, "NO...!!" while others react in shock. Hody snarls, "ARROGANCE IS IN THE NATURE OF A KING. ALL OF US HAVE SUFFERED... SUCH ARROGANCE...!!!...WILL HAVE TO BE DISPOSED OF!!! THE PEOPLE ON THIS LIST......THANKS TO YOUR ARROGANCE, NEPTUNE." The broadcast reaches Luffy, who watches intently as Hody points and shouts, "I ADDRESS THE STRAW HAT PIRATES!! AND FINALLY..."

Hody broadcasts from a monitor, showing the Straw Hats trapped inside a hanging metal cage. He taunts, "I DON'T DOUBT YOU ARE WATCHING THIS BROADCAST FROM A MONITOR SOMEWHERE ON THIS ISLAND...!!! THESE ARE THE HUMANS WHO CRUSHED THE AMBITIONS OF THE NOBLE ARLONG PIRATES, WHO FOUGHT FOR THE RAGE OF OUR RACE!!! TAKE A GOOD LOOK!!" Luffy yells in shock, "AHHHH!! THEY GOT CAUGHT!!" Nami stares wide-eyed while Sanji mutters, "WHAT DO THEY THINK THEY'RE PLAYING AT...I" Usopp, Zoro, and Brook are visible inside the cage. Hody's voice continues, "...THIS ROOM WILL BE FLOODED COMPLETELY, THAT ALONE WILL BE ENOUGH... BY THE TIME THE KING'S EXECUTION IS COMPLETE......TO TAKE THE LIVES OF THESE INFERIOR HUMANS, YES...I" Nami looks on with worry as bubbles rise from the cage.

A massive fish-man pirate snarls while brandishing Monkey D. Luffy's wanted poster, roaring, "STRAW HAT LUFFY!! YOUR HEAD IS WORTH FOUR HUNDRED MILLION BELI!!!" and "THE LIVES OF YOUR CREW WILL SERVE AS A PERFECT EXAMPLE TO THE HUMANS ON THE SURFACE!!!" Nearby, a small fish-man stares in shock. In a vast splash panel the island erupts in a colossal explosion as the same pirate declares, "NOW!! IT IS TIME FOR US TO START CLEARING OUT THE TRASH OF THE OLD RYUGUU KINGDOM!!!" Narration states, "IN THREE HOURS' TIME, THIS COUNTRY WILL BE REBORN AS A NEW FISHMAN ISLAND OF DIGNITY AND PRIDE!!!" Below, a long-haired fish-man with a furious glare growls, "I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU...!!" while panicked citizens scream, "THIS IS TERRIBLE...!!!"

Inside a flooding chamber, chained prisoners react in panic. One shouts, "DAMN IT ALL!! THE WATER LEVEL JUST KEEPS ON RISING!" while another pleads, "SURE... IF YOU GET THESE CHAINS OFF ME." Brook's voice rings out, "SOMEBODY HELP ME!! I'M GOING TO BE KILLED!!" and "THAT IS CORRECT!! I AM JUST DEAD BONES BROOK!! YOHHOHO!" Nami and Camie are spotted escaping. Robin wonders aloud, "I WONDER IF NAMI HAS BEEN EATEN BY DEEPWATER FISH..." Sanji growls, "AND WHAT IF THEY DON'T SHOW UPI!" as Brook laughs, "YOHHOHO!! THAT'S JUST LIKE HER--!!" and "AH!! BUT I'M ALREADY DEAD!! YOHHOHO!!"

Robin stands before an ancient stone tablet deep in the Ocean Forest, murmuring, "...I HAVE READ BEFORE NOW... THIS IS A LITTLE DIFFERENT FROM THE PONEGLYPHS..." and "AND A LETTER OF APOLOGY, AT THAT... WHO COULD IT BE APOLOGISING TOI" The tablet's text is visible but unreadable in detail. She reads the signature and gasps, "JOYBOY"... A small figure sits in the distance among glowing flora. Robin turns sharply, asking, "WHO IN THE WORLD ARE YOUI"

Luffy grins widely in the Ocean Forest, clutching his hat and laughing, "DID YOU HEAR THATI! MY BOUNTY'S FOUR HUNDRED MILLION!!! WHEN DID IT GO UPI" Sanji and a fish-man react with shock as the fish-man yells, "HE'S BLATANTLY PICKING A FIGHT WITH US..." and "IS THIS REALLY THE TIMEI!" Luffy continues beaming while another fish-man warns, "WAIT, LUFFY-KUN!!" and "STILL, IF IT'S A FIGHT HE WANTS, THAT'S WHAT WE'LL GIVE HIM!!" The fish-man adds, "THOUGH ONCE YOU EXCEED THREE HUNDRED MILLION, IT'S DIFFICULT TO GET ANY HIGHER. YOUR ACTIONS IN THE WAR SENT YOUR FAME SHOOTING SKY-HIGH..." Luffy's eyes sparkle with excitement.

Princess Shirahoshi clings to Megalo as the massive shark rockets forward. "WE HAVE TO GO AND HELP HIM!" she cries. A voice pleads, "WAIT, PLEASE!!" while another shouts, "PRINCESS SHIRAHOSHI!!! MEGALO, STOP!!!" Megalo roars, "SHAAA AAA!!" and "MEGALO!!!" In a close-up, someone whispers, "FATHER..." On the deck, Jimbei warns Luffy, "NYUUUUU... YOUR HIGHNESS, I THINK IT'S A BAD IDEA FOR YOU TO GO, AS WELL..." Luffy-kun, your highness... if you could both hold on a little longer...." A crewmate adds, "BUT, BOSS JIMBEI-SAMA...!!!" The scene shifts to an explanation: Hody holds the king hostage as protection against assault. Shirahoshi rides Megalo across the sea floor while narration states, "HE KNOWS THAT NO MATTER HOW 'PERFECT' A NEW FISH-MAN ISLAND HE MANAGES TO BUILD... IT WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO STAND UP AGAINST AN ASSAULT BY THE SEA KINGS...!!! THE ONE THING HODY FEARS THE MOST IN THE CURRENT RYUGUU KINGDOM... IS THE TALENT THAT YOU POSSESS."

Shirahoshi listens with wide, tearful eyes as the speaker adds, "HORDY IS THE KIND OF MAN WHO WILL ELIMINATE ANYTHING THAT STANDS IN HIS WAY....!" and "NYUUUUU... HORDY DOESN'T WANT TO CAPTURE YOU AND USE YOUR POWER FOR HIMSELF... HE'S TOO AFRAID OF THE THREAT THAT YOUR POWER PRESENTS." Jimbei replies, "...THAT HORDY DOES NOT FIND OUT ABOUT THIS FACT. IT IS TO OUR ADVANTAGE IF HE FEARS THE WORST..." Shirahoshi answers, "I SEE. THEN WE MUST MAKE SURE... BUT YOU MUST UNDERSTAND, I HAVE NEVER ACTUALLY SPOKEN TO A SEA KING IN ALL OF MY LIFE...! THAT JUST MAKES THINGS MORE CONFUSING!!" and questions, "IS IT... BECAUSE WE'RE HUMANSI" Luffy, face shadowed under his hat, declares, "I'M GOING!! IF YOU REALLY WANT ME TO STOP......THEN YOU'LL HAVE TO MAKE ME!!! LUFFY...!!" He continues, "JIMBEI!! THAT MAN HAS CAPTURED MY FRIENDS!! IF I DON'T DO SOMETHING ABOUT THAT HORDY, MY FRIENDS AND EVERYONE ELSE WILL BE IN TROUBLE." Jimbei, looking pained, responds, "...AS A ONE-TIME COMRADE, I HAD HOPED THAT YOU WOULD LISTEN TO REASON...
