Ace suddenly bursts into motion with flames erupting around him, shouting "YOUR NAKAMA." as he charges across the rooftop. Below, a massive shadowy figure looms while someone remarks, "WE'VE GOT SOMEONE WITH BAD MANNERS HERE." and a close-up shows Blackbeard grinning, "... HEE HEE..."

Ace unleashes a barrage of fiery shots labeled "*FIRE GUN*" with massive onomatopoeia "ドドドドン" and "BOBOBOBO!!!" as Blackbeard is blasted backward amid explosions and cries of "!!!" and "JAKIN!" KILLING YOUR OWN NAKAMA IS A BIG CRIME." He continues explaining, "BECAUSE I THOUGHT HIS SHIP WOULD HAVE THE BEST CHANCE OF OBTAINING THAT FRUIT. BUT THEN MY NAKAMA FOUND THE FRUIT...!!! I WAS ON WHITEBEARD'S SHIP FOR SEVERAL DECADES. IF I NEVER GOT LUCKY, I HAD DECIDED TO GIVE UP. I MEMORIZED ALL OF THE FRUIT SHAPES LISTED IN THE ILLUSTRATED REFERENCE BOOK, SO I KNEW IT WAS THE FRUIT I'D BEEN LOOKING FOR RIGHT AWAY. HE HAD OBTAINED THE DEVIL FRUIT THAT I WANTED!! OUR SHIP'S RULE WAS THAT ANYONE WHO FOUND A FRUIT COULD EAT IT." Ace glares intensely as Blackbeard concludes, "LOOK... THIS IS SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE REST OF LOGIA...!!!! Blackbeard unleashes his power in a massive close-up, eyes wild and mouth open in a roar. Massive black smoke and energy erupt around him with the words "DARKNESS!!!" and "ZEHAHAHAHA!!! I AM..." The attack engulfs the area as Ace watches in shock from a smaller panel, reacting with "!!I" and "...!!!" The page ends with the note "45 VOLUME 45 (END)".
