BEING DEAD IS USELESS

The giant Brogy is shown pinned to the ground, a massive wax sword driven completely through his hand and arm, anchoring him to the earth. A large, heavy structure rests on top of him, further immobilizing him. In the background, the Baroque Works agents - Galdino, Mikita, Gem, and Marianne - stand victorious over the fallen giant. Nearby, Nami, Zoro, and Nefertari Vivi are trapped on the tiers of a giant, spinning wax cake structure. A voice cries out in distress, "BROGY!" as a heavy "GOTON" sound echoes from the impact of the giant being pinned.

Galdino adjusts his glasses, looking down at the trapped giant. He remarks, "PERHAPS I UNDERESTIMATED THE EXTENT OF A GIANT'S POWER... I NEVER WOULD HAVE IMAGINED HE COULD BREAK MY CANDLE JACKET..." Beside him, Mikita laughs uproariously, "KYAHAHAHA! WHAT AN IDIOT!" while Gem simply grunts, "HMPH." Marianne calmly sips tea in the background, unfazed by the violence. Galdino continues, "IT SEEMS I MUST COMPLETELY RESTRAIN YOUR ENTIRE BODY..." He activates his Devil Fruit powers, a stream of liquid wax flowing from his hand as he declares, "DORU DORU ARTS! SWORD!"

The giant wax sword created by Galdino plunges brutally through Brogy's hands and deep into the ground, completely immobilizing the giant. Blood spurts from the massive wounds. From their trap on the wax cake, Zoro, Nami, and Vivi watch in horror as the giant is tortured. Nami screams out, "BROGY!" Galdino laughs maniacally at his handiwork, "FUHAHAHAHA! NOW STAY STILL! MOVE AND YOUR ARMS AND LEGS WILL BE TORN OFF!"

Brogy screams in sheer agony, "ARGHHHHHHH!" as he lies pinned by the massive wax swords, unable to move. Galdino revels in the giant's pain, laughing sadistically, "FUHAHAHAHAHA!" Vivi yells at him from the wax cake, her face filled with anger, "YOU VICIOUS MONSTER!" Unfazed by her insults, Galdino commands his creation, "SPEED UP, MY CANDLE SERVICE! HURRY UP AND TURN ALL OF THEM INTO WAX-FIGURES!"

The giant wax cake structure spins rapidly, emitting a thick mist of wax particles into the air. Zoro, Nami, and Vivi, trapped on its tiers, begin to cough violently as the mist envelops them. Nami clutches her chest in pain, "COUGH! COUGH! MY CHEST... HURTS...!" Zoro also coughs, trying to endure the mist. Vivi realizes the deadly nature of the trap, warning the others, "THE MIST OF WAX IS GETTING IN OUR LUNGS! AT THIS RATE, WE'LL BE TURNED INTO WAX-FIGURES FROM INSIDE OUR BODIES...!"

Galdino's face twists into a sadistic grin as he laughs, "FUHAHAHAHAHA! YES, YES! SUFFER AS MUCH AS YOU CAN UNTIL YOU DIE! YOUR EXPRESSION OF PAIN AND ANGUISH IS THE ART I SEEK! HARDEN AWAY INTO WAX IN TERROR!" Nami, terrified and furious, yells back, "ART!? YOU'RE DEPRAVED! HOW COULD YOU DO SUCH AN INHUMANE THING TO BROGY!" Galdino continues to mock them, "FUHAHAHAHAHA! YES, SCREAM IN DESPERATION AS MUCH AS YOU WANT! YOU'LL ALL GET YOUR JUST DESERTS SOON ENOUGH!" Desperate, Nami turns to Zoro, "ZORO! DON'T JUST STAND THERE QUIETLY! DO SOMETHING!" Zoro stands stoically, muttering, "100 YEARS..."

A flashback shows the two giants, Brogy and Dorry, clashing their massive weapons in combat. Brogy's voice narrates, "DAY AFTER DAY AFTER DAY, WE FOUGHT AND FOUGHT...! ENDLESSLY FIGHTING AND FIGHTING..." The scene shifts back to the present, showing Brogy pinned by the wax swords, blood pooling around his hands. He continues, "OUR DUEL WAS SUSTAINED ONLY BY OUR PRIDE BORN FROM ELBAF. IF THIS IS HOW THE TWO OF US MEET OUR END THEN... ELBAF... WHY WILL YOU NOT LET US DIE IN BATTLE...!? ART THOU NOT TOO CRUEL...!?"

Galdino mocks Brogy's despair, "FUHIHAHAHAHA! WHAT A MOST AMUSING FACE YOU MAKE! IT'S EXQUISITE! YOUR BITTERNESS! LAMENT! AND AGONY! YOU'LL BECOME AN EXCELLENT WORK OF ART FOR SURE! FUHAHAHA!" Mikita laughs along. Brogy shouts, "ELBAF!" while Galdino keeps laughing. On the wax cake, Nami panics as her body begins to stiffen, "MY HAND WON'T MOVE...! NO! I DON'T WANT TO DIE LIKE THIS! ISN'T THERE SOMETHING WE CAN DO!?" Zoro, gripping his swords, states, "MY BODY'S HARDENED ALREADY! I CAN STILL MOVE AS WELL." Galdino taunts Brogy further, "CAN YOU STILL MOVE, GIANT? TEARING OFF YOUR ARMS AND LEGS, WILL BE A LOT MORE USEFUL THAN BEING DEAD."

Zoro smiles confidently, his swords drawn. He looks at Nami and Vivi and says, "ONCE I CUT OFF MY FEET, WOULD YOU LIKE TO HELP ME CRUSH THESE BASTARDS?" Nami is horrified, "Y... YOUR FEET!? YOU'RE GOING TO CUT OFF YOUR OWN FEET!? ARE YOU JOKING!? WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE SAYING IN A TIME LIKE THIS!" Zoro replies calmly, "IT'S BECAUSE WE'RE IN A TIME LIKE THIS THAT I'M SAYING IT. WHY, WHAT WILL YOU DO?" Nami argues, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHAT? IT'S USELESS! EVEN IF WE WERE TO DO THAT AND GET DOWN FROM HERE, THEY'D CATCH US AGAIN IN AN INSTANT!" Zoro counters, "CAN'T KNOW UNTIL YOU TRY, Y'KNOW? STANDING HERE IS ONLY GOING TO BRING US CERTAIN DEATH. MIGHT AS WELL GO DOWN AND PAINFULLY STRUGGLE DOWN TO OUR VERY LAST BREATH...!"

Zoro continues his thought from off-panel, "THERE'S NO REASON TO DIE QUIETLY AT THE HANDS OF THESE WEAKLINGS. AM I RIGHT?" Galdino dismisses Zoro's threat, "WHAT'RE YOU TALKING ABOUT...! HAVE YOU LOST IT!? HMPH... OF COURSE HE'S NOT SERIOUS, CAN'T YOU SEE? THERE'S NO WAY HE COULD EVER DO SUCH A THING! IT'S NOTHING MORE THAN A BLUFF!" However, Brogy laughs heartily, "GABABABA! WHAT A BOLD LITTLE ONE YOU ARE...!! EVEN I WAS ON THE VERGE OF LOSING MY WILL TO FIGHT... I'LL GLADLY FOLLOW ALONG, WITH THAT SPIRIT OF YOURS!"

The giant wax cake continues to spin, the mist thickening. Brogy strains against his wax restraints, cracking them slightly. Zoro stands ready, his swords positioned near his ankles, preparing to cut himself free. Nami, sweating and terrified, stammers, "WHA... Y-YOU'RE JOKING, RIGHT!? HOW DO YOU EXPECT TO FIGHT WITHOUT BOTH YOUR LEGS!?" Zoro smirks, "WHO KNOWS. BUT I PLAN TO WIN."

Galdino and Gem watch in disbelief. Galdino says, "WHAT'S WITH THESE FOOLS!?" Gem adds, "THEY'RE INSANE!" Zoro calls out, "PRINCESS VIVI, ARE YOU PREPARED TO NEVER GIVE UP AND DIE?" Vivi, finding her resolve, replies, "W... WAIT FOR ME! I'LL FIGHT TOO!" Zoro says, "VIVI! SURE THING." Brogy, flexing his muscles, shouts, "THEN LET'S DO THIS!" Galdino glares at them, "I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU THINK YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH BUT I'LL JUST HAVE TO KILL YOU ALL!"

Suddenly, Luffy, Usopp, and Karoo burst into the scene from above, crashing through the jungle canopy. Luffy yells at the top of his lungs, "ORYAAAAAAA!" as they plummet towards the ground, taking the Baroque Works agents by surprise.

Luffy, Usopp, and Karoo land dramatically in a cloud of dust. Galdino and Gem turn in surprise. Luffy points an accusing finger at the Baroque Works agents and shouts, "YOU THERE! GET READY TO HAVE YOUR ASSES KICKED!"

Galdino, Mikita, and Marianne look on in confusion, with Galdino muttering, "WHAT...?" Luffy adjusts his straw hat and declares, "BIRD! LET'S DO THIS, USOPP!" Usopp, striking a pose beside him, replies, "ROGER!" Karoo the duck adds a determined "QUACK!"

Nami, Zoro, and Vivi are overjoyed to see their crewmates. Nami cries, "LUFFY!" Zoro says, "USOPP!" and Vivi yells, "CARUE!" Usopp points dramatically and declares, "MASTER BROGY! WE SHALL AVENGE YOUR AGONY! BEAT THESE LOSERS' FACES INTO AN UNRECOGNIZABLE PULP AND SEND THEM FLYING AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE!" Brogy looks on, touched, "USOPP...!" Luffy, looking furious, agrees, "THAT'S WHAT I PLAN TO DO! THESE BASTARDS DEFILED THE GIANTS' DUEL!"

Luffy cracks his knuckles as he walks towards the enemies. Gem observes him, "AH, SO YOU'RE THE ONE THEY CALL EAST BLUE'S MOST WANTED MAN, ARE YOU NOW... SEEMS THE MARINE HQ HAS DROPPED THEIR STANDARDS QUITE A BIT." Meanwhile, Luffy is distracted by Galdino's hair, "WHOA! WHAT A WEIRD HEAD!" Nami yells from the wax cake, "QUIET!" Luffy continues, "THERE'S A 3! THE 3'S ON FIRE!" Nami angrily interrupts him, "I SAID SHUT UP! LUFFY! START BY DESTROYING THIS PILLAR OR WE'LL TURN INTO WAX-FIGURES!"

Luffy looks up at his trapped friends and asks casually, "HUH? YOU GUYS IN TROUBLE?" Zoro, standing with his swords, replies, "NO, NOT PARTICULARLY." Nami notices blood pooling around Zoro's feet and screams, "W-WAIT A MINUTE! YOUR LEGS ARE BLEEDING!" Zoro chuckles, "YEAH, I WAS ABOUT HALF-DONE CUTTING THEM.. HAHA." Nami is exasperated, "HOW IS THAT NOT BEING IN TROUBLE!?" Zoro ignores her and asks Luffy, "WELL IN ANY CASE... COULD YOU DESTROY THIS PILLAR FOR US? I'LL LEAVE THE REST TO YOU." Luffy grins confidently, "SURE THING." Galdino smirks, "HMPH... OH WE'LL SEE ABOUT THAT, WON'T WE?"
