EX-GOD VS GOD'S PRIEST

Conis sits outside a small house, playing a harp. The music notes float through the air. She says, "THIS YEAR'S... PUMPKIN HARVEST IS QUITE NICE." Gan Fall, the Sky Knight, is nearby, tending to a garden. He replies, "YES". Conis continues, "I REALLY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO THANK YOU..." Gan Fall responds, "I APOLOGIZE FOR CAUSING YOU TROUBLE..." He adds, "YOU WOULD HAVE BEEN IN DANGER AND BEEN TREATED LIKE CRIMINALS... THIS IS JUST MY SERVICE." He reassures her, "IN HERE, NOT EVEN ENEL'S MANTRA CAN FIND YOU."

Gan Fall, wearing his armor and a headwrap, holds a ladle and tastes something from a pot. He asks, "HOW IS ANGEL ISLAND?" Conis, still playing her harp, looks up and says, "YES...?" Gan Fall clarifies, "I MEANT THE PRODUCE. HOW WAS THIS YEAR'S HARVEST?" Conis smiles slightly and answers, "... OH... IT WAS VERY GOOD." Gan Fall says, "OH? THAT IS NICE." He then offers her a drink, "THAT IS THE PUMPKIN JUICE FROM MY GARDEN." He takes a sip from a cup and says, "IT IS QUITE DELICIOUS." He then calls out to Conis and her father, "EXCUSE ME. I WILL HAVE A TASTE THEN. CONIS-SAN, CONIS-SAN! YOU TOO COME TRY SOME!" Gan Fall then changes the subject, asking, "--- LITTLE GIRL, IN THE BLUE SEAS THERE ARE PEOPLE CALLED 'PIRATES'. DID YOU KNOW THAT?" Conis stops playing and replies, "... NO, I DIDN'T..." Gan Fall explains, "THEY ARE CRIMINALS WHO SAIL ON THE BLUE SEAS. THEY WOULD PUT A BLACK FLAG WITH DRAWINGS OF A SKULL IN THE MIDDLE OF THEIR SHIPS."

Conis looks concerned and says, "THE STRAWHAT AND THE OTHERS... ARE PROBABLY PIRATES." Gan Fall is surprised, "EH!? YOU MEAN THEY HAVE BEEN CRIMINALS FROM THE START!?" He then chuckles and clarifies, "... HEH HEH... UM... THEY ARE MORE LIKE 'PEOPLE WHO DON'T FOLLOW RULES...' THERE ARE DIFFERENT KINDS OF PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT WORLDS!" Conis asks, "~~~ BETWEEN YOU TWO AND THEM, WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE?" Gan Fall, looking thoughtful, replies, "IT ISN'T UNUSUAL... TO PUT IT TO AN EXTREME... A HERO DURING A WAR WOULD BE JUST ANOTHER MURDERER IN PEACEFUL TIMES". He continues, "I HAD FRIENDS WHO WERE PIRATES, TOO. ABOUT 20 YEARS AGO, WHEN I WAS STILL GOD, HE CAME TO VISIT ME..." He remembers fondly, "HE WAS A VERY OPEN AND AFFABLE PERSON. I REGRETTED HAVING TO PART WITH HIM."

Conis says, "EVEN THOUGH IT DOES NOT SEEM THAT WAY, SKYPIEA HAS ALWAYS BEEN A WARRING COUNTRY..." A panel shows silhouettes of Shandia warriors holding spears and weapons. Gan Fall explains, "IT IS BETWEEN US, 'THE CITIZENS OF THE SKY', AND THE ONES WE CALL THE RAIDERS... THE PEOPLES OF 'SHANDIA'. IT IS A NEVER-ENDING WAR... EVEN NOW, SHANDIA CHALLENGES ENEL." Conis's father, Pagaya, is seen holding a cup of pumpkin juice. He says, "WHEN YOU WERE GOD, YOU TRIED VERY HARD TO ACHIEVE PEACE WITH SHANDIA. IT WAS A HOPE TO PUT AN END TO THE WAR THAT HAD CONTINUED ON FOR CENTURIES, BUT..." Gan Fall, looking downcast, finishes the thought, "YES, WHEN WE ALMOST HAD PEACE... ENEL TOOK OVER AS GOD". He apologizes, "I APOLOGIZE... EVERYTHING CAME TO NOTHING..."

Pagaya waves his hands frantically, spilling some of his drink, and says, "~~AH! YOU DO NOT NEED TO APOLOGIZE...!!" Gan Fall looks up and recounts, "~~ THERE WAS A LEGEND IN SKYPIEA... LONG AGO, ON THE DAY THAT THE 'UPPER YARD' WAS BORN, THE ISLAND SANG A BEAUTIFUL SONG, HEARD THROUGHOUT THE COUNTRY. AS IF TO SIGNAL IT, THE WAR BETWEEN THE CITIZENS OF THE SKY AND SHANDIA STARTED." He stands tall, holding his lance, and declares, "THUS, WHEN WE HEAR THAT SONG OF THE ISLAND ONCE AGAIN... THIS WAR WILL END~~~~"

Conis repeats softly, "THE SONG OF THE ISLAND..." Gan Fall smiles gently and says, "YES, THAT'S WHEN THE HOLY LAND... SINGS ONCE AGAIN. SURELY SOMEDAY...." Suddenly, Pierre the bird squawks loudly, "PIEH PIEH~~~~!!!" Gan Fall looks alarmed, "...WHAT HAPPENED...!?" He quickly puts on his gauntlets and grabs his lance, shouting, "PLEASE WATCH MY HOME!! I AM OFF TO WORK!! LET'S GO PIERRE!!" Pierre takes flight, squawking, "PIEH PIEH~~~~!!!"

Gan Fall and Pierre fly off into the sky, leaving a trail behind them. Conis watches them go. She then takes a sip from her cup and says, "...WOW. FATHER... THIS PUMPKIN JUICE IS REALLY DELICIOUS." Pagaya, who is chopping wood nearby, agrees, "YES... IT TASTES BETTER THAN ANYTHING..." The small cloud fox, Su, rests near Conis.

On the Going Merry, Chopper is in a state of absolute panic. He screams, "WAAAAAAAH!!! STOP~~~~~~!!!" A massive burst of fire engulfs the deck of the ship. Chopper pleads, "STOP~~~~!! I BEG OF YOU!! STOP!!!!!" He cries out, "DON'T ATTACK THE SHIP! PLEASE DON'T DO THAT!!! WAAAH YAAAH!! WAAAH!" The priest Shura, riding his giant bird Fuza, looks down at him and says, "HUN..." Chopper, tears streaming down his face, yells, "WOOO...!! DAMN THIS!!"

The giant bird Fuza breathes a massive stream of fire, setting the ship's mast ablaze. Chopper screams, "WAAAAAH YAAAH~~~~!!!" and "SUU WOO!!" He pants heavily, "...HAH...!!...HAH!!...HAH!! DAMN...!! HAH...!! DAMN..." He begs, "PLEASE STOP!! I'M THE SHIP...!! THE SHIP SITTER...!! THEY ASKED ME TO WATCH THE SHIP...!!!...HAH... HAH...!!!" Shura asks his mount, "WHAT SHOULD WE DO, FUZA...!?" Fuza squawks, "GU~~~~ KA KA POH OH!!! GU KAKA KAKAKA KAKAKKAK AKAAKA!!!!!!!" A text box identifies the bird: "SANJOUCHO FUZA".

Shura stands confidently on Fuza's back, holding his lance. He says to Chopper, "FIRST YOU TELL ME NOT TO ATTACK YOUR FRIENDS... THEN YOU TELL ME TO NOT DESTROY THIS SHIP... THEN YOU SAY YOU DON'T WANT TO DIE. YOU PUT ME IN A DIFFICULT SITUATION...!!" A text box introduces him: "SKY PIEA PRIEST. 'SKY RIDER, SHURA'". Shura glares down and says, "HUN... YOU SELFISH ANIMAL. YOU REALLY PISS ME OFF!"

Shura lunges forward, thrusting his lance at Chopper. He yells, "IF YOU WANT TO LIVE, THEN WHY ARE YOU SO WEAK!!!?" Chopper dodges, screaming, "WAH!!" The lance emits a burst of fire. Chopper cries, "AH STOP!! THAT LANCE BURNS STUFF!!! WAH! WAAH! WAAAH! STOP IT!!!" Shura swings the lance again, saying, "YOU BASTARD... YOU WANT TO LIVE WITHOUT ANY SACRIFICE?"

Chopper thinks to himself, terrified, "HOW CAN HE DO THAT...!? IT'S LIKE HE CAN PREDICT MY MOVEMENTS...!!" Shura explains, "IF SOMEONE WANTS TO SURVIVE... THEN SOMEONE ELSE MUST DIE... THAT'S HOW THE WORLD WORKS." He continues, "DID YOU KNOW THAT THIS IS THE ALTER OF SACRIFICE...? RIGHT NOW YOUR OTHER FRIENDS ARE RISKING THEIR LIVES TO COME HERE...!! ON THIS ISLAND, EACH OF THE FOUR PRIESTS CONTROL A TERRITORY. WHEN THE TARGET ENTERS ONE OF THE TERRITORIES, NO ONE OTHER THAN THE CORRESPONDING PRIEST MAY ATTACK. THAT'S THE RULE." Chopper remembers, "AH... YES!! THEY SAID... ALTAR OF SACRIFICE...WELL, IT'S FOR AFTER THE PEOPLE BEING TESTED ARE DEAD....WHAT....THEN". Shura adds, "BUT THIS ALTAR IS NOT PART OF ANY AREA. LET'S CALL IT THE FREE AREA... IT DOESN'T MATTER WHO DOES WHAT".

Chopper recalls a conversation, "IF LUFFY COMES HERE AND SAVES US, WE CAN ESCAPE FROM HERE TOGETHER!?" He realizes, "YEAH. THAT'S IT... IF YOU CAN ESCAPE FROM THIS FREE AREA..." He is interrupted by Shura, "EH!?" Shura continues, "~~ ANYWAYS, THAT IS JUST THE ORIGINAL RULES FOR JUDGEMENT, AND IN SPECIAL SITUATIONS, THE RULES CAN BE CHANGED." Chopper asks, "SPECIAL...!?" Shura explains, "CORRECT. FOR EXAMPLE... THREE OF THE SACRIFICES USED VINES... TO ESCAPE TO THAT FOREST OVER THERE..." Chopper is shocked, "EH... THAT'S A SPECIAL SITUATION?" A flashback panel shows Zoro saying, "GOD IS THERE, RIGHT? I'LL GO CHECK IT OUT." Chopper screams in frustration, "IT'S ALL HIS FAULT!!"

Shura declares, "FOR THE CRIME OF RUNNING AWAY, SOMEONE MUST PAY FOR IT WITH HIS LIFE AS 'SACRIFICE'. THIS IS THE WAY OF THE WORLD. ~~WHEN THEY COME BACK THEY WILL ALSO BE PUNISHED... SO THEY CAN REALIZE THEIR MISTAKES." He points his lance at Chopper and shouts, "YOU MUST GIVE YOUR LIFE TO GOD!" Chopper screams, "NO!! NO WAY~~~~!!!" Shura charges on Fuza. Chopper cries out, "AH~~YAAA AH~~~~~!!!" as the flaming lance comes right at him.

Just as Shura's lance is about to hit Chopper, Gan Fall swoops in and blocks the attack with his own lance. Gan Fall says calmly, "THANK YOU FOR WAITING." Chopper, wide-eyed with relief and awe, screams, "KNIGHT OF THE SKY~~~~!!!" Shura grunts, "HUN...!!" and remarks, "A RARE GUEST!"

Gan Fall, riding Pierre who has transformed into a bird-horse hybrid, faces off against Shura on Fuza. Chopper cheers loudly, "GAN FALL!!!! OOOOOOOOOOO~~~~~!!! KNIGHT OF THE SKY~~~~!!" Gan Fall assesses his opponent, "A STRONG OPPONENT. HE IS WELL TRAINED. WE MUST FIGHT HARDER, PIERRE." Pierre squawks, "PIEH PIEH~~~~~~~!!" Shura taunts him, "AN OLD MAN LIKE YOU IS USELESS!! LET'S JUST PLAY WITH HIM... FUZA!!" Fuza cries out, "KU KAKA KAKA KA!!"

Shura and Gan Fall clash violently in mid-air. Shura yells, "YELL ALL YOU LIKE!! THIS ISLAND DOESN'T NEED TWO GODS!!" Their lances strike each other, creating sparks and shockwaves. Shura is pushed back, grunting, "GUH...!!" as Gan Fall presses the attack.

Gan Fall strikes a powerful blow, sending Shura flying backward off his bird. Shura cries out, "WAH!!" as he tumbles through the air, feathers scattering around him. He grunts, "ZU... TSU TSU". Down below, Chopper watches in amazement, cheering, "OH...!! OOH~~~~~!!! KNIGHT OF THE SKY~~~~~!!!!"
