NUMBER ONE

Captain Morgan looms in close-up, his scarred face twisted in fury beneath his massive axe-arm, shouting "HE'S EATEN ONE OF THE DEVIL FRUIT..." and "HE'S NO ORDINARY HUMAN!!!" Marines panic in the next panels: one orders, "WELL STOP HIM, YOU FOOLS!" while another cries, "CAPTAIN! H-HE'S UNTYING ZOLO!!" Others gasp, "NO WAY! SO THAT'S HIS POWER...I" and "...THE SECRET TREASURE FROM THOSE SEAS!!!" In the bottom splash, Marines draw their swords with a fierce battle cry "HYAAAH!!" as one commands, "IF BULLETS CAN'T HURT HIM, THEN USE YOUR SWORDS!" The clash erupts with crossed blades and impact lines.

A wide-eyed Marine recoils in shock, sweat flying as he stares at something off-panel. Beside him, another Marine grits his teeth and yells "RORONOA ZOLO!!!" Luffy leans forward with a huge grin, eyes sparkling, shouting "HE'S COOL!!" and "WOW!!" A tense close-up follows of a stern Marine captain under a dark cap, declaring "... DIES." and "THE FIRST ONE WHO MOVES..." The surrounding Marines tremble, one stammering "HE'S SO SCARY...!" while others scream "EEEEK...!" as their swords clash with a loud "GA-CHEEN" sound effect.

Luffy stands before the bound Roronoa Zoro and declares, "BUT, HEAR THIS!! I HAVE A MISSION TO FULFILL!!!" Zoro, still tied to the post with swords at his side, answers, "ALL RIGHT, SO I'M A PIRATE. I GAVE YOU MY WORD. I'VE FOUGHT THE NAVY, THEREFORE I'M OFFICIALLY AN OUTLAW..." In a dramatic close-up, Zoro continues with fierce determination, "MY NAME MAY BE INFAMOUS... BUT IT'S GONNA SHAKE THE WORLD!!! I'M GOING TO BE THE WORLD'S GREATEST SWORDSMAN! ALL I HAVE LEFT IS MY DESTINY!" He then threatens, "...THEN I'M GOING TO MAKE YOU COMMIT HARA KIRI!!!" while adding, "BUT YOU ARE MAKING ME BECOME A PIRATE! SO IF I HAVE TO ABANDON MY DREAM FOR ANY REASON..."

Back in the present, Luffy stretches his arm dramatically with "GUM-GUM..." and yells "ZOLO, DUCK!!" as motion lines and impact effects fill the scene.

Zoro charges forward with both swords drawn as marines scatter in panic. TMPTMPTMP! A marine is sent flying from the impact. "SOMETHING'S WRONG WITH THOSE NAVAL MARINES!!!" someone shouts. In the next panel Zoro's blade slices through a marine's weapon with a sharp FWISH!!! Luffy, in his straw hat, appears in the lower panels and yells, "TRY PUTTING ME TO DEATH!!!" as he smashes into a marine with a powerful WHAM!!! A marine points at Luffy and declares, "HEY! I'M YOUR ENEMY..."

A close-up shows a marine officer with glasses screaming, "DESTROY THIS LOUSY NAVY!!! LUFFY!!!" Other marines react in shock. Zoro clashes with the large axe-wielding Captain Morgan. "I'LL TEACH YOU TO DEFY YOUR BETTERS!" Zoro shouts as Morgan swings his massive axe, FWISH. Morgan retorts, "HMPH! YOU HAVE NEITHER RANK NOR STATUS!" Luffy lands dramatically and announces with a big grin, "I'M STRAW HAT LUFFY! NICE TO MEET YOU! TA DA!" Morgan roars back, "I'M CAPTAIN AXE-HAND MORGAN!!!" as the massive ROMP impact hits.

The straw-hatted boy leaps high through the air as a massive blade swings past him with a thunderous WHOOSH!!. The swordsman lunges forward, blade flashing, and roars DIE!! A split-second later the sword slices cleanly through the air with a sharp SLISH...! The boy lands safely on the far side. In the foreground, a boy with round glasses stares in shock, sweat flying, and yells THAT'S SHARP!! WOW!

The swordsman is hurled violently backward by a powerful strike, body twisting as FWA impact lines explode around him. He grunts UNGH! while the straw-hatted boy follows through with a spinning kick. The swordsman is sent flying across the ground with a loud SKKK!!, tumbling helplessly. Two wide-eyed Marines in the foreground gape in terror and stammer TH-THE CAPTAIN...

Morgan swings his massive axe in a powerful arc, the blade flashing as it crashes down with a thunderous GWAAAAN. The Marine captain's metal jaw clenches as he glares forward. "BOY..." he growls. In the next instant his weapon connects with a heavy WHUNK, sending the straw-hatted boy reeling from the impact. Morgan raises the axe again, eyes blazing, and declares, "I SENTENCE YOU TO DEATH!" The blow lands with another sharp WHUNK and a rushing FWOOSH of displaced air as the axe cleaves through the air toward its target.

Luffy's face twists in pain and defiance, sweat flying as he grits his teeth. "I'M NOT GONNA DIE," he shouts. Morgan's axe comes down in a massive strike, the impact exploding outward with a huge KAWAAAN. The force hurls Morgan backward; his body flips through the air, mouth open in shock as Luffy's kick connects. Onlookers watch in horror: Marines shout "HE'S GETTING PUMMELED!!" and "CAPTAIN MORGAN..." while a boy with glasses cries out, "HE'S JUST TOO STRONG!!" Dust and debris scatter from the clash.

Luffy leaps into action, fist raised as he confronts the marine. "ARE YOU RUINING KOBY'S DREAM!" he yells. The marine swings a massive cannon down with a heavy "GRB". Luffy's face fills the frame, eyes fierce as he shouts "STOP!!" The marine with the black cap watches silently. In the next instant Luffy's punch lands with a massive impact "EN", sending the marine flying. Koby appears in the lower panel, eyes wide and mouth open in shock, screaming "I SAID STOP, YOU IDIOT!!"

Helmeppo points his pistol at Koby with a wicked grin, laughing "HEH HEH HEH!!" He threatens, "IF YOU EVEN BLINK, I'LL SHOOT!" and "ONE FALSE MOVE AND FOUR EYES GETS IT!!!" Koby stands firm in the courtyard, shouting "DON'T LET THEM WIN BECAUSE OF ME!" From off-panel Luffy calls out "HEY, LUFFY!!" In close-up Luffy smiles warmly at Koby and says "YOU'RE A GOOD GUY, KOBY!" Koby, tears streaming, yells desperately "LET HIM KILL ME!!"

Koby panics as Luffy stands with his back turned, shouting "LUFFY!! BEHIND YOU!" A marine levels his rifle and yells, "HEY! I TOLD YOU NOT TO MOVE OR I'D SHOOT!" Another voice adds, "HEY, IDIOT-SON-OF-THE-CAPTAIN! KOBY MEANS IT!" Luffy clenches his fist and replies, "FINE! I'LL JUST SHOOT HIM THEN!" In a rapid sequence, Captain Morgan swings his massive axe down while Luffy stretches his arm back and declares "GUM-GUM..." A terrified child screams, "DADDY!! KILL HIM!!" Luffy finishes the move with "...PISTOL!" as the impact lands.

Luffy's stretched fist rockets forward and slams into Morgan's face with a massive "WAA-WAA-WAAK" impact, sending the captain flying backward as he grunts "OOF!!!" Morgan crashes down, muttering "NICE..." while Luffy stands in the foreground with a wide grin. In smaller panels, Koby stares in shock with sweat drops flying, and an unidentified figure is shown mid-air from the force of the blow.

Morgan's massive armored head lies on the ground after being struck. In the middle panel, Roronoa Zoro stands with three swords drawn, his back to the viewer, while Monkey D. Luffy watches from the background with fists raised. A speech bubble reads "...ZOLO!". Morgan's severed head grimaces on the dirt. In the bottom close-up, Zoro smirks confidently with narrowed eyes, replying "...CAPTAIN! NO SWEAT..." as the word "SMIRK" appears beside him.
