The crew's ship sails away from a massive Sky Island structure as narration boxes recount their escape: "...IN THE SHIPWRIGHT'S COMPANY", "FROM THE CLOUDS OF SKYPIEA, THE CREW SAFELY RETURNED TO THE SEA.", "AND SET SAIL TO A SHIP-BUILDER'S CITY...", "AFTER ESCAPING FROM SKY ISLAND". A voice yells "NO, THE ANTARCTIC! THE ARCTIC IS COLDER!" and "STOP FIGHTING ALL THE TIME!" with BAM!! sound effects. In the next scene a large horned man with a mustache roars "THAT'S THE TYPE I'M LOOKING FOR! YOU SHOULD'VE TOLD ME EARLIER DAMMIT!" while others react with shock. A close-up shows a stern man declaring "IT'S RED." Another figure sweats and asks "REALLYI YOU HAVE A STONE IN YOUR COUNTRYI WHAT COLOR IS ITI". Below, a wild-haired captain shouts triumphantly "I HAVE ALL ROAD PONEGLYPHS WITHIN MY REACH!" as companions ask "IS THIS A GIFT FROM THE HEAVENSI" and "ABOUT WHERE ANOTHER ONE MIGHT BE!". A small ship sails onward with the cry "WE STOLE A RUBBING FROM BIG MOM'S PONEGLYPH AND I HAVE A FEELING" and the response "GREAT, CAPTAIN!".

In the Water Capital on Scrap Island, a massive fishman labeled TOM (LONG-HORNED COWFISH FISHMAN) laughs heartily "TOO-OM-SAN!! TOO-OM!! TOM! I'VE BEEN WANTING TO SEE YOU! LONG TIME NO SEE, GUYS! TAHA HAHA HA!" while waving his arms. A young man in a cap asks "ARE YOU KIDDING MEI IT'S STILL BEING DESIGNED!" and "IS THE TRAIN FINISHED YETI". Nearby a bandaged figure wonders "I" and another laughs "THEY ARE AS LOUD AS EVER HAHA HAHA!". Tom continues speaking to a small boy: "YOU WERE ABANDONED BY PIRATESI YOU'RE A FUNNY KID! YOU'LL JUST ABANDON ME TOO! I DON'T WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH YOU PIRATES" and "YOU'RE AN ORPHANI WANNA COME WITH USI". The boy looks up with a worried expression. Background shows ships, docks, and cheering crowds with sound effects "TOO-OM-OM-SAN!!" and "TOO-OM!!".

Laughter echoes across the seas as the Roger Pirates sail onward. "Yohohoho- yohohoho- yohohoho- yohohoho-" "Yohohoho- yohohoho-" "Yohoho ho- yohoho ho- yohoho ho-" "Yohoho ho- yohoho ho-" A massive wave crashes as the ship approaches a towering stone bridge. "...Deliver Bink's Sake-" "Going to..." Through binoculars, a crew member spots the destination and cries out in alarm, "There's a big chance we'll die on the way to the real Fishman Island!" Kozuki Oden stands firm on deck. "Don't be foolish, Oden!" another pirate shouts. "Let's go to the amusement parks!!!" A wide-eyed crewmate exclaims, "Oh, is this 'Fishman Island'!I"

Deep underwater, a massive shark-like fishman demands, "Who are youI Show yourself!!" Another fishman notes, "Heard whatI We're 10,000 leagues under the sea!" A crewmate asks, "You heard that, RayleighI" "Pretty sure I also heard something..." "You tooI" Chaos erupts as the ship crashes into the underwater city. "Why are you here, humansI" a fishman yells. "Waaait -----!!" "Where is all this noise coming fromI!" King Neptune appears in shock, recognizing the intruder. "RogerI I could barely recognize you!" Gol D. Roger grins widely and shouts, "Look, it's me, Neptune! Roger!" "It's me!" Neptune demands, "Are you the one making all this noiseI"

King Neptune confronts the pirates. "The doors to Fishman Island will be opened for everyone and the border between our worlds will be no more!" He warns, "To destroy the entry to the island... since you're here and you have the power..." A crewmate replies, "Listen, I stopped you to talk about a 'prophecy'! Something only a man of your caliber could achieve!" "That's because you haven't done anything yet!" "We haven't done anything wrong!" Alarms sound as damage is reported. "The door that allows ships into the harbor has also suffered some damage!" "Our army has suffered some damage!" "Sir Neptune!" "I can't believe it!" "Roger, did you hit it...I" Neptune reacts with fury. "Dammit! We've been standing right here! It wasn't us!" A voice declares, "So the 'Day of the Disaster' has finally come..." Neptune orders, "Go and patch it!" "There's a hole near the border bubble tooI"

A young Shyarly holds up a crystal ball, her eyes wide. "...Will only happen after the mermaid princess is born." "The Day of Disaster..." A caption reads "Shyarly (age 3)". In the present, Neptune reflects on the past. "Wait a minute, I'm not even married." "I only became king a few months ago too..." Citizens react in the streets. "Should we throw a party now or wait until she's bornI" "So the king is going to have a daughter in the future..." "Mermaid princessI Now that's new!" Protesters shout, "Demanding the king to better our relationship with humans!" "And since then, Otohime has been leading political demonstrations..." "...Had a prophecy, containing information about how a carp will marry into the royal family!" "But Sir Neptune, everyone knows that Shyarly..." A fishman yells, "What kind of prophecy is that!!" Another voice says, "Oh, right."

In the undersea forest, a stern man with braided hair and a scar warns, "WAIT A SECOND! THERE ARE TWO PONEGLYPHS IN THIS FOREST. ONE OF THEM DOESN'T SEEM IMPORTANT, BUT..." Nearby voices protest the chaos: "WE'VE GOT NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS CHAOS!" and "NEPTUNE, FOR THE LAST TIME." Another figure adds, "AS YOU'VE WITNESSED, THE WHOLE COUNTRY IS CAUGHT UP IN THAT CHILD'S PROPHECY..." A large man with a thick mustache and headband declares, "THE PONEGLYPH FROM SKY ISLAND SAID IT WOULD BE HERE!" The group examines two massive stone slabs. One speaker notes, "MORE IMPORTANTLY, THE 'WEAPON THAT COULD SHAKE THE ENTIRE WORLD' ISN'T HERE!" while another compliments, "I MUST SAY, I'M IMPRESSED YOU CAN READ THOSE!" and identifies the second as "AN APOLOGY FROM A MAN NAMED JOYBOY." The mustached man reads aloud from one Poneglyph: "'EVERY 100 YEARS, POSEIDON - THE GOD OF THE SEA - IS REBORN. HIS HIDDEN POWER TO DESTROY THE WORLD LAYS DORMANT INSIDE A PURE MAIDEN.'" A voice replies, "WELL, ABOUT THAT. I RECENTLY HEARD ONE OF SHYARLY'S PROPHECIES CONCERNING THAT WEAPON."

Neptune, trident in hand with a small creature perched on it, continues, "BUT THAT'S AS FAR AS THIS 'PROPHECY' GOES! I HAVE NO IDEA OF WHAT KIND OF PERSON SHE WILL BE. SO POSEIDON IS A MERMAID, HUHI I COULD GIVE YOU SOME TIPS ON FATHERHOOD IF YOU WANT." Roger, seated casually, responds to questions about Shyarly's prophecies and Poseidon. A flashback shows a young Shyarly as a child, with Roger noting, "10 YEARS." He asks, "HEY SHYARLY YOU GOT ANY OTHER PROPHECIESI MAYBE YOU CAN TELL US WHEN POSEIDON WILL BE BORNI" In the present underwater scene, an angry fishman shouts, "WHO SAID SHE'LL BE SHAGGYI!" while another retorts, "WELL, DON'T WORRY, I DON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME LEFT TO COME BACK AND STEAL YOUR SHAGGY DAUGHTER. I NEVER SAID SOMETHING LIKE THAT, DID II" A long-haired man concludes, "NEPTUNE, WHAT WE'RE AFTER IS THE TREASURE LEFT BEHIND BY THE WEAPON'S CREATOR. WE'RE NOT INTERESTED IN THE WEAPON, RIGHT ROGERI"

A montage shows the Roger Pirates' journey: sailing far across the salty depths, riding on the waves, and following the sea breeze past islands and a massive structure. The crew celebrates wildly on a beach with barrels, music, and dancing under the merry evening sun as birds circle overhead. Captions read "FAREWELL TO THE HARBOUR" and "THE CIRCLING BIRDS SING IN THE SKY." Later, aboard a ship near Wano Kuni, a crew member reports, "SHE CAME DOWN WITH A TERRIBLE FEVER AND CAN'T SAIL WITH US IN THIS STATE. HOWEVER, SINCE SHE ALWAYS PLANNED TO GO TO WANO ANYWAY..." Another adds, "TOKI IS STABLE FOR NOW, BUT I'M GOING TO BE HONEST WITH YOU." Oden reacts with shock, "WHAAATI!" as Toki collapses on deck. A sign marks their destination: "WANO KUNI - NEW WORLD."

At the harbor, a woman with dark hair pleads desperately, "DON'T YOU DARE BREAK YOUR PROMISE! YOU SWORE TO SEE THAT ADVENTURE TO THE END!" Oden turns away as Kin'emon and others urge him on. Someone calls, "WAIT! ODEN! YOU'RE JUST GOING TO DITCH HER WITH KIN'EMON, AREN'T YOUI" Oden replies, "COME ON GUYS, I'M NOT THAT CRUEL!" The group argues heatedly. A retainer shouts, "HAVEN'T YOU CONSIDERED ODEN'S FEELINGSI HE'D FEEL AWFUL IF HIS ADVENTURE ENDED BECAUSE OF ME!" Another demands, "SILENCE! PLEASE BECOME WANO'S RULER ONCE AGAIN! WE'VE PROTECTED KURI IN PREPARATION FOR YOUR RETURN!" Oden stands firm, declaring, "ENOUGH! I'LL CONTINUE TO TRAVEL!" In a quiet moment he reflects, "EVEN TURNING AROUND TO LOOK... IF I TURNED AROUND... I KNEW I WOULD NEVER AGAIN LEAVE THIS ISLAND. IT'S LIKE I COULDN'T STAND TO LOOK AT IT WITH MY OWN EYES." The scene ends with dramatic sound effects and Oden's silhouette.

Four years later, a homecoming like this would not be waiting for me. The Roger Pirates' ship sails through rough seas after retrieving Wano's poneglyphs as fast as possible and leaving the country and beloved family behind. A crew member growls, "SCUM." Another retorts, "OH COME ON, YOU CAN'T READ THE PONEGLYPHS!" The Vivre card points toward an island, but the crew doubts they can land at Zou yet. Suddenly a massive elephant-like creature looms over the ship as someone yells, "SERIOUSLY, THIS ISN'T AN ISLAND!!!" The group reaches a new island where locals react in shock: "AND THEY BROUGHT THE KOZUKI CLAN WITH THEM!!" "LOOK! PIRATES HAVE COME TO VISIT!!" Oden, sweating and uneasy, mutters, "YEAH, IT'S JUST... THIS ISLAND GIVES OFF A DIFFERENT VIBE." Someone asks, "ARE YOU OKAY, ODENI"

A large mink with a crown exclaims to Oden, "YOU DON'T KNOW HOW MUCH TURMOIL YOUR DISAPPEARANCE HAS CAUSED!" and "I AM SO GLAD THAT BOTH OF THEM ARE STILL ALIVE AND WELL!!" Duke Higuchishkan examines a letter and says, "HM, IS THIS A LETTER OF INTRODUCTION FROM NEKOMAMUSHII" Oden clutches his stomach in discomfort, replying "GAH, SOMETHING IS NOT SITTING WELL WITH ME!!" while a mink warns, "ARE YOU ALRIGHT, ODENI YOU CAN ALWAYS GO BACK TO THE SHIP IF YOU AREN'T." The minks erupt in excitement: "FREE HUGS!!!" "WAIT, WHAT IS THIS!!" "MINKMANSHIP FOR THE SAVIOURS!" Later, standing before a massive tree, Roger asks, "YOU TOO CAPTAIN ROGER!I" as Oden senses, "IT FEELS LIKE SOMETHING 'HUGE' IS BEING STORED HERE!!" and "SOMETHING IS HERE..."

The crew discovers the final road poneglyph beneath the Kozuki clan's seal. Oden shouts, "THAT'S THE KOZUKI CLAN'S SEAL!!!" and "THIS MEANS WE'RE SWORN BROTHERS WITH THE MINKS!!" Someone cries, "WE FOUND IT! THE LAST ROAD PONEGLYPH!" A figure declares, "YOUR TIME TO 'SHINE' HAS YET TO COME!!" Pedro is addressed: "I LIKE YOUR SPIRIT, BUT IT ISN'T YOUR TIME YET!!" "YOUR NAME IS PEDRO, RIGHTI" "PLEASE TAKE ME WITH YOU!!" In narration the crew reflects, "AND SO, WE FINALLY ASSEMBLED THE 4 ROAD PONEGLYPHS. THE ONLY THING THAT WAS LEFT WAS... 'THE FINAL ISLAND'." A spotted man pleads, "ALRIGHT! I'LL DEFINITELY HELP LATER!" while another asks, "YOU'LL KNOW WHEN IT HAPPENS! HELP US THEN!!" "WHEN WILL MY 'TIME' COMEI"

At an unknown harbour, Roger coughs heavily while asking, "ALRIGHT BOYS, HAVE WE FIGURED OUT OUR DESTINATION YET!I" A crew member reports, "ROGER!! ARE YOU ALRIGHT!I" The crew gathers around a map as Roger declares, "RIGHT NOW!!!" Someone asks, "WHEN SHALL WE LEAVE!I" and another answers, "YES, WE DID, CAPTAIN." Narration explains Buggy caught the "YOU'LL-DIE-IF-YOU-GO-TO-THAT-ISLAND" disease right before the finish line. Shanks smiles and reassures, "DON'T WORRY ABOUT BUGGY! ONE DAY, WE'LL SAIL THERE WITH OUR OWN SHIP!!" Buggy, feverish, begs, "PLEASE TAKE ME WITH YOU!" while another voice cries, "NOOOO, I WAS SO CLOSE!"

Crowds react in shock and excitement as news spreads that Gold Roger has sailed across every ocean and conquered the Grand Line, answering the world's greatest mystery. "IN THE WORDS OF THE GREATEST PIRATE THAT HAS EVER LIVED: HE HAS SUCCESSFULLY SAILED ACROSS EVERY SINGLE OCEAN THERE IS! GOLD ROGER, HAS FINALLY ANSWERED THE UNANSWERED MYSTERY OF THE WORLD! HE CONQUERED THE GRAND LINE! BREAKING NEWS! NO, ACTUALLY, BIG NEWS! THE BIGGEST NEWS!" On that fateful day, a massive close-up shows Roger in his pirate hat, grinning fiercely. "HE IS THE KING OF THE PIRATES!!" A cloaked figure with a feathered hat stands before a stone, holding a brush. Narration boxes recount their discoveries: "WE LEARNED ABOUT THE 'VOID CENTURY'. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE 'MEANING OF THE D. NAME'. WE LEARNED ABOUT THE 'ANCIENT WEAPONS'. WE HAD LEARNED ABOUT EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD. BUT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW WHAT GOL D. ROGER, KING OF THE PIRATES, DID WHEN THE TREASURE HE SOUGHT WAS PLACED IN FRONT OF HIS VERY EYESI I, AT LEAST, LEARNED THAT WANO HAD CONNECTED WITH THE WORLD IN THE PAST."

The Roger Pirates laugh uproariously, tears streaming down their faces. "TO THE POINT WHERE TEARS STARTED POURING OUT OF OUR EYES. WE LAUGHED AS WELL." They discuss the island: "HOW ABOUT WE NAME THIS 'LAST ISLAND' THAT NO ONE ARRIVED AT YET." "HEY YOU GUYS!!!" "YOU LEFT BEHIND SUCH AN UNBELIEVABLE TREASURE...!!!" "JOY BOY, I..." "IN THE PAST 800 YEARS THIS..." "WHAT A FUNNY STORY!!!" "I REALLY WISH I HAD BEEN BORN IN THE SAME ERA AS YOU." A massive panel shows Roger laughing with tears of joy. "HE LAUGHED." A large speech bubble declares the island's name: "LAUGH TALE". The page ends with "ONE PIECE CHAPTER 967 END".
