ORATORIO

A single panel shows a close-up of Enel's face. He wears his signature white headwrap and has a calm, confident, and slightly sinister smile on his face. His eyes are relaxed, exuding an aura of absolute superiority.

An older Gan Fall sits with his head in his hand, looking deeply troubled. He asks, "Does that not make us the evil ones?" In the next panel, he is seated on his throne in a grand room, with his bird Pierre beside him and a guard standing nearby. The guard replies, "Please don't say it like that, God-sama.... God's militia may hear you. All they want is to return to their homeland, yet..." A flashback shows a younger Gan Fall talking to a stern-faced Shandia warrior with a dotted tattoo on his face. The warrior says, "The prosperity of the current citizens of Skypiea is because 400 years ago our ancestors took God's Island.... Aren't we responsible... for continuing their fight?" The tattooed man firmly adds, "Our country's treasure must be protected!" Gan Fall sits in silence, burdened by the history.

Gan Fall continues to reflect on the past, his hand covering his face in distress. "400 years... We've tried to compromise, but they've flatly refused! They deserve no pity!!" He concludes, "Be it us or them..." A wide view of the dense forest of Upper Yard is shown as Gan Fall's thoughts continue: "...Because we've fought about this for too long... It is too hard to admit defeat." The scene shifts to a chaotic flashback of Enel's forces attacking the Skypiean guards. Explosions and screams fill the air. Panicked voices shout, "HELP!!!" "We're under attack!!!" "You're not Shandians!!" "What is the meaning of this!? Who are you!!?" A large text bubble reveals the terrifying truth: "Their leader calls himself 'God Enel'...!!!"

On Angel Beach, Angel Island, two Skypiean children with small wings and antennae are talking. The girl asks, "...Hey, didn't there used to be a beautiful woman always playing a lyre in this house!?" The boy replies, "Yeah. Ah! I remember now." The girl leans in and says, "That woman is actually a bad person! Her father, too!!" The boy looks surprised, "Really!?" The girl explains, "Yes!! My father said they rebelled against God!! Yeah! They even helped the evil citizens of the Blue Seas!!" The boy looks down, "Oh..." The girl smiles and says, "Hey, did you know... my father is part of the militia..." The boy smiles back, "He's been working for God... My mother keeps saying he'll be back soon, but I've never seen his face, not even once."

The Skypiean boy continues talking to the girl, smiling brightly. "But he's working directly under God! Your father is incredible!" The girl laughs happily, "I hope I can meet your father soon!!" The boy agrees, "Me too!!" The scene cuts to Conis, who is riding her waver desperately down a cloud path, panting heavily. She thinks to herself, "...!! This country... will vanish into thin air!! Haa... Haa......I cannot let that man's sacrifice be in vain!!" A wide shot shows the massive Giant Jack beanstalk towering over the ruins. Conis's urgent thoughts continue: "Skypiea will fall into the Blue Seas!!" She keeps moving with determination, resolving, "I must tell everyone!!"

Back in the ruins of Shandora, Enel sits casually on a massive floating sphere of clouds, laughing his signature "Yahahahaha...!!" Below him stand the remaining fighters: Robin, Zoro, Wyper, and Gan Fall. Enel looks down at them and asks, "You're going to... eliminate me!?" Nami is shown hiding behind a crumbling stone wall, sweating and terrified. She thinks, "...!! Oh no...!! That guy is dangerous...!!" Enel smiles confidently at the group below and says, "I wouldn't expect less from the survivors of this game......However... Do you know who you are talking to?"

Enel continues his arrogant speech from atop his floating sphere. "It seems that... you don't understand what a God is...!!" He looks down at the fighters, singling them out. "...Yahahahaha... The old man fighting for the prosperity of Skypiea..." A panel shows Wyper glaring fiercely, blood on his face, next to a tense Gan Fall in his armor. Enel continues, "...The warrior fighting to return to his homeland..." Another panel shows a battered Zoro and a calm but serious Robin. Enel adds, "And pirates from the Blue Sea trying to steal the gold... This world is filled with so many... troubled lambs. Even the country itself has sinned greatly!!"

Gan Fall points his lance up at Enel, demanding answers. "...Instead of talking nonsense, why don't you tell me what you seek to accomplish here and where the militia members are being held captive!?" Enel smiles calmly and replies, "I simply seek to return, Gan Fall!" He looks up toward the sky. "Return...!?" "Yes. I have a place where I should be. On the sky island where I was born, where people say God lives." Enel clenches his fists, his expression turning intense. "People call it Fairy Vearth...!! And there is a limitless amount of earth."

Enel spreads his arms wide, a blinding light radiating from behind him as he declares his grand ambition. "THAT IS THE IDEAL WORLD I SEEK!! THAT IS WHAT I DESERVE TO HAVE!!!" He looks down at the ruins with disdain. "This God's Island... This puny piece of earth is nothing, yet you've fought for centuries to control it!!" Enel leans forward, resting his chin on his hand, looking at Gan Fall. "Do you understand!? The reason you fight is actually more philosophical. Think about it..." A close-up of Enel's face shows his absolute certainty. "Not a cloud, but born of the sky; Not a bird, but lives in the sky..."

Enel continues his speech, gesturing to the sprawling ruins of Shandora below. "THIS COUNTRY IN THE SKY DEFIES ALL LAWS OF NATURE!!! EARTH, MEN, AND GOD, ALL HAVE A PLACE THEY BELONG!!!" Gan Fall looks up in shock, realizing Enel's true plan. "...You can't...!!" Enel smiles wickedly. "What do you mean, 'you can't'!! I am doing what a God should do. I am sending you all to where you belong... BELOW THE SKY!!!" The revelation shocks everyone present. Nami gasps, "Huh...!?" Robin looks startled, "!" Zoro glares silently, and Wyper grits his teeth, "What...!!?"

Gan Fall is furious, yelling up at Enel. "YOU WANT TO DESTROY THIS COUNTRY!?" Enel casually picks his ear, unbothered. "It's the law of nature..." Gan Fall points his lance and shouts, "DON'T THINK SO HIGHLY OF YOURSELF, ENEL!! 'GOD' IS NOTHING BUT A TITLE FOR THE LEADER OF OUR COUNTRY!!!" Enel smirks and replies, "That's before I became God." Gan Fall's face is shown in a massive, enraged close-up as he screams, "THE PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD DON'T NEED A 'GOD'!!"

Enel looks down at Gan Fall with a mocking smile. "Yahahahaha... Ex-God Gan Fall... You've been worrying about your militia, haven't you? Your 650 followers... Six years ago, they lost to my army." Enel points a finger casually. "This morning they finished their... 'job'... Like I said earlier... Right now, the only people still standing on this island... are unfortunately just the six of us." Gan Fall is stunned, trembling as he realizes what Enel means. "!!? You...!!" Enel laughs, "I didn't want to do it, but after I told them my plan... Yahahaha... They all went berserk on me..." Enel then adds a cruel afterthought, "...Their families... on Angel Island... Oh! That's right. Their families will need burials..."

Driven to absolute rage, Gan Fall charges at Enel. "YOU FIEND!!!" he screams, thrusting his lance forward with all his might. Enel easily leans back, dodging the strike with a mocking "Yahahahaha!!" As the lance passes him, Enel casually reaches out and taps the metal shaft with his finger. Gan Fall realizes too late what is happening. "!!?" Enel's hand begins to crackle with intense electricity. He calmly counts up the voltage, "Ten million... Twenty million..."

A flashback shows Enel's four priests—Ohm, Satori, Shura, and Gedatsu—standing before him. Ohm asks, "Enel-sama. This is the old God... What should we do with him?" Enel, sitting casually, replies, "Just dump him. He's no good for labor. Take the old militia and have them work for me as manual laborers." Enel smiles, looking around. "Yahaha... This shrine is pretty nice..." The scene shifts to Gan Fall being tossed out of the shrine into the clouds below. His loyal militia members cry out, "Wait... They are my followers...!!" Enel waves dismissively, "Shush now. From now on, you are no longer God... Heso! Yahahaha..."

Back in the present, Enel unleashes the full force of his attack on Gan Fall. "Thirty million volts... 'VARI'!!!" A massive surge of lightning blasts through the lance and directly into Gan Fall's head, electrocuting him violently. The sheer power of the attack shocks the onlookers. Nami screams from her hiding spot, "STRANGE KNIGHT!!" Zoro mutters, "Old man..." Wyper and Robin watch in stunned silence. Gan Fall collapses to the ground, his armor smoking from the devastating strike. Enel stands over him, declaring, "Gan Fall, in this world, there is a God... It's over...!!!"

A massive close-up of Enel's face fills the top panel as he proclaims, "ME!" Zoro and Robin look on, realizing the nature of his power. Zoro says, "Devil Fruit..." Robin explains, her face tense, "Most likely the Goro Goro Fruit...!! It's one of the... invincible powers..." Enel stands tall, electricity crackling wildly around his body and staff. "The power of lightning!" Nami, still hiding, is completely terrified. "Lightning...!? Impossible... How can we win against that...!?"

Enel stands victorious, with Gan Fall's unconscious and smoking body lying at his feet. Enel looks down and says, "Perfect, it is now the predicted time..." He turns his attention to the remaining fighters standing in the ruins: Zoro, Robin, and Wyper. "There are exactly five survivors." Enel spreads his arms wide, laughing triumphantly. "Yahahahaha, good job surviving this far!! Now I shall travel to the Fairy Vearth!"

Enel continues his grand declaration to the survivors. "AND ALL OF YOU SHALL COME WITH ME!!" Zoro looks confused and annoyed, "...What did you say?" Enel explains his vision, "Once we are there, I will create a new God's land. Only those chosen by me may live there!!" Nami, listening from hiding, is horrified. "What is he thinking!?" Enel looks down at the defeated fighters around the island. "Since they weren't able to survive such a short game, my previous followers are unfit to live in that country!!"

Robin speaks up, questioning Enel's absolute authority. "What if we refuse...?" Enel looks at her, slightly annoyed. "Refuse...? Why? I've already decided! If you stay here, you will fall into the abyss with this country!!" Robin remains calm and analytical. "True... With your power, it is possible. However, if you destroy this country, that thing you want will also fall. No?" Enel pauses, "... You mean the Golden Bell?" He then bursts into laughter. "Yahahahaha!! Don't worry, judging from your earlier adventures, I can think of only one place where the bell could be..." Robin's eyes widen in sudden realization. "!!!" "...Ah..." Nami and Wyper also react to the mention of the treasure. Nami whispers, "Gold..." Wyper mutters, "Golden Bell..."

Enel points his staff directly at Robin, a dangerous look in his eye. "...Looks like you're thinking what I'm thinking...!!...You seem surprised! Did you think you could trick me and find it yourself? You underestimate me...!" Wyper watches tensely. Enel's expression turns cold. "...How shallow!!" Without warning, Enel unleashes a massive, jagged bolt of lightning from the sky. "I don't like shallow women." Nami screams in terror, "ROBIN!!!" The lightning strikes Robin directly, engulfing her in a blinding flash of electricity as she falls backward.
