In the next panel Carue perches on a rooftop ledge, looking down with a simple "HmI" A narration box reads: "HOW COULD A MERE DUCK RUN UP THE WALLS OF ALUBARNA...!I" Carue then spreads his wings wide, leaping off the building with a determined "AH-" and "QUA..." while a lone figure stands atop a distant tower.
