At the entrance of Caesar's research facility, Zoro, Kin'emon, Brook, Sanji, Nami, Brownbeard, the dragon, and the G-5 Marines crash through the shredded shutter and into the building. The Marines behind them scream, "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!!" because Zoro and Kin'emon have cut open the only barrier between the facility and Shinokuni. Brownbeard barrels forward with the injured riders and the dragon, while the poisonous gas presses outside. The entry is no clean rescue; it is a stampede into the last shelter on the island.

The survivors pile into the lobby, gasping with relief and terror. Someone says, "IT'S GREAT THAT WE'VE MADE IT INSIDE..." but immediately another voice warns, "THIS IS BAD!!" The reason is plain: the poison gas is coming in with them. G-5 Marines shout, "...BUT NOW THE POISON GAS IS COMING IN WITH US!!!" and "AT THIS RATE, WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!!!" Someone angrily asks whether this is some kind of bad joke, and yells, "EVERYONE PLUG UP THAT HOLE!!!" The torn shutter becomes a lethal wound in the building.

The lobby fills with panic as the G-5 Marines swarm toward the opening. Brownbeard, still badly wounded, lies near the crowd while the Marines rush to block the breach with debris and panels. Outside, the gas floods the snowy structures and smoke-like clouds swallow the facility walls. The page shifts from the shouting interior to the silent exterior, showing the poison spreading over buildings, pipes, and ice. The scale of Shinokuni becomes clear: even after everyone has reached the facility, the island outside is being erased under a rolling field of toxic death.

The gas continues to cover Punk Hazard. Buildings vanish into the cloud, the broken cage hangs uselessly, and the research facility stands surrounded by Shinokuni. No dialogue interrupts the destruction; the panels simply show the poison crawling over the island and swallowing every visible route. The atmosphere is heavy and final, turning the outside world into something no living person should enter. The facility is now both refuge and trap: everyone is alive only because they got inside, but every exit is sealed by Caesar's weapon.

Inside the poisoned landscape, Visual Den Den Mushi continue to observe the aftermath. One stares across the drifting gas while another rests inside a protective bubble-like casing. A frozen shell cracks and breaks in the distance, but the cloud remains thick and heavy. The gas still floats through the island, and one observer notes, "IT'S STILL THICK AND HEAVY ALL AROUND..." Another says, "I CAN'T SEE HOW ANYONE WOULD SURVIVE EVEN A SINGLE STEP OUTSIDE INTO THIS..." The broadcast proves Caesar's claim: Shinokuni has made the outside nearly uninhabitable.

Brook stands near the sealed hole and reports on the outside. Someone asks, "HOW'S IT LOOK, BROOK?" and he answers, "IT IS LIKE A LAND OF DEATH OUT THERE." He thinks about how they might have died if they had not managed to close the hole. A Marine snaps back that Brook and his group caused the crisis by opening the hole in the first place, asking, "IS THAT ALL YOU'VE GOT TO SAY AFTER YOU NEARLY JUST KILLED US ALL?!!" Brownbeard says, "RIGHT," and Zoro coolly nods. The G-5 Marines decide this pirate crew is even crazier than rumors say and raise their guns.

The G-5 Marines surround the newcomers and shout, "STRAW HAT PIRATES!! GIVE IT UP AND SURREND!!!" and "AND YOU TOO, PIRATE BROWNBEARD!!!!" Zoro, Kin'emon, Brook, Nami, Sanji, and Brownbeard suddenly find themselves cornered with nowhere to run. One of them asks how they became the ones being cornered after escaping the gas, while Brownbeard mutters that the Marines know his name. Brook cheerfully says, "YOHOHO!" Nami warns, "HEHEH... YOU KNOW YOU'RE GONNA REGRET THIS...!!" and the dragon growls, making the standoff even less stable.

Luffy notices the confrontation has already begun and says, "OH!! THEY'RE STARTING ALREADY?!" Law quickly tries to control the situation. He tells Smoker and Tashigi, "NOW, LISTEN. THE TWO OF YOU... ARE TO STAY OUT OF THE WAY OF ME AND HIS CREW." Luffy calls, "AH!! TRA-DUDE!! HOLD IT RIGHT THERE!!" because Law then uses his power to restore the body swaps. Sanji and Nami are suddenly returned to their own bodies with "CHANGE US BACK." Nami screams, "NO!! NO!" and Sanji, thrown back into his damaged body, cries, "DAMN IT! THE DREAM IS OVER...!" Nami cheers, "I'M BACK!!"

Sanji immediately suffers the consequences of returning to his own body. Nami accuses him, "WHY AM I WEARING A DIFFERENT COAT?!! YOU TOOK MY CLOTHES OFF, DIDN'T YOU?!!" and kicks him so hard he can barely answer, "WAIT, I CAN EXPL- EURGBLM PHAGHH!!!!" Sanji then realizes Nami's body was beaten up by Caesar and says, "OH YEAH, NAMI GOT BEATEN UP PRETTY BAD BY CAESAR IN THAT BODY..." while Chopper notes the damage is not from that punch alone. Brook calls Sanji a real hero, and Law interrupts the comedy with urgency: "I HAVE SOMETHING TO TELL EVERYONE HERE!" The facility is surrounded by poisonous gas, but there is one way out.

Law gives everyone the escape route. They can avoid the outside air and go directly to the ocean through a route behind a giant door labeled "Building R 66." He says, "I HAVE NO LOVE FOR MASS SLAUGHTER, BUT TWO HOURS IS ALL I CAN GIVE YOU!!" If anyone is still inside the facility after two hours, he makes no guarantee they will survive. The G-5 Marines panic at the time limit. Luffy asks if something is going to happen to the facility, and Law answers that with what he is planning, it is hard to say what will happen. Luffy smiles and says, "WELL, THEN..." as if the danger only clarifies the next move.

Luffy decides he has waited enough. He points ahead and shouts, "I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF WAITING AROUND!! I'M GONNA BEAT YOU UP AND KIDNAP YOU!!! CAESAR, I'M COMING FOR YOU NOW!!!" Law stands beside him, while Robin watches silently. Smoker takes charge of the Marines and orders, "MARINES OF G-5!! YOUR ORDERS ARE TO HEAD FOR THE R-66 DOOR, COLLECTING THE ABDUCTED KIDS ALONG THE WAY!!" Brownbeard tells them to split up and look for the children, and says once they find them they should point the children toward the escape route. Zoro starts to go alone, and the others insist he must not.

Smoker hands command of the Marines to Tashigi and prepares to confront Vergo himself. He tells her, "TASHIGI. YOU TAKE COMMAND OF THE OTHERS AND GO AHEAD!!" Tashigi asks if he is not going after Vergo, and Smoker answers that the law is all well and good, but it cannot settle debts unpaid. He says, "I'LL DEAL WITH THAT MAN MYSELF. I'LL TEACH HIM A LITTLE RESPECT FOR THE MARINES...!!!" Tashigi asks to go with him, but Smoker reminds her that someone has to protect their subordinates and rescue the children. His back, marked with justice, faces her as he walks toward his own fight.

Zoro's group warns each other not to underestimate Caesar. Sanji asks, "SERIOUSLY?! THE GUY DEFEATED LUFFY?!" Usopp explains Caesar apparently suffocated him with his ability as "Gas" and can suck the oxygen from the air around a person, making him hard to fight. Zoro snaps, "THIS IS NO JOKING MATTER!! OI, LUFFY!!!" and warns that saying "I let my guard down" is no good, because one slip could cost their lives. Luffy takes it seriously and answers, "YOU'RE RIGHT... SORRY!!! I WON'T LET MY GUARD DOWN AGAIN!!!" Zoro tells him to get his act together because they still have the whole New World ahead of them.

Luffy launches himself down a long corridor with a stretched arm. The Marines spot him and shout, "IT'S STRAW HAT!!" and "I DON'T KNOW WHAT HE'S PLANNING, BUT SHOOT HIM DOWN!!" Luffy swings forward with "STRETCH," twists through incoming fire with "TWIRL!!" and laughs, "SHISHISHI!" before accelerating. He calls out, "GOMU GOMU NOO!!" and spins into a drilling attack. The chapter marks the section ending as "68 'Pirate Alliance' (End)," while Luffy tears away from the group toward Caesar.

Luffy completes the attack with "UFO!!" His spinning body becomes a wild flying disc that smashes through the corridor and sends Marines flying with screams of "AAAAGHHHH!!!!" He whirls past them, laughing, "AHAHAHAH!!" and says, "I'LL GO ON AHEAD!!!" Someone comments that he could at least try being serious, but Luffy uses the chaos as momentum. The page turns his charge into a visual joke and a battle move at once: he is reckless, loud, and unpredictable, but he is also clearing the path toward Caesar faster than anyone else can follow.
