Adventure on the Burning Island

A massive dragon-like creature with horns, wings, and scales rears up on a stone-paved area, its jaws open wide as it roars 'RRRRGHHHHH....!!!'. Impact lines and 'RUMBLE' emphasize the sound. Small figures on the ground react in shock. One shouts 'NOT A CHANCE!! YOU'VE GOTTA BE HEARING THINGS!!!' while another yells 'HEY!! IT JUST SPOKE!!!'. In the next tier of panels the dragon continues roaring 'RRRRGHHHH....' with Japanese sound effects. A woman with long dark hair states 'YET ITS FORM IS UNMISTAKABLY THE SAME AS THE IMAGINARY CREATURE....' A man with curly hair adds 'IT'S HARD ENOUGH TO BELIEVE THAT A DRAGON EXISTS AT ALL WITHOUT IT TALKING AS WELL....!!!' while a straw-hatted figure questions '...YOU THINK SO...I'

Close-ups show Monkey D. Luffy with wide eyes and sweat drops exclaiming 'DON'T TELL ME....!!!' and Roronoa Zoro with a grim, sweating expression. The dragon lunges forward with open jaws amid motion lines and large impact effects 'ゴッ'. Luffy is sent flying backward through the air, limbs flailing. Below, other figures including Sanji and a bald man are knocked off their feet by the force. A large speech bubble captures their panicked screams 'WHOAAA AAAAAAA AAAAA!!!' as debris and stone fragments scatter across the ruined ground.

The dragon exhales a massive fiery blast with the caption 'IT BREATHED FIRE!!!' and explosive impact effects. In the next section characters flee across the ground: Luffy runs while a voice laughs 'AHAHA HAHA!!' and another remarks 'THIS IS GETTING INTERESTING....!!!'. A goggled man yells 'OWOWOWO WOWWWW!!! THIS THING CAN'T EXIST!! I MUST BE DREAMING!!' as motion lines streak past. The dragon snaps its jaws near Luffy, who stretches his arm forward with the words 'GOMU GOMU NO...' while a small round creature floats nearby labeled 'PORURUN!'.

A massive dragon-like beast rears up with jaws wide open as Luffy launches a powerful strike. "JET BULLET!!!!" The impact explodes against the creature's head, sending debris flying. The dragon crashes down hard, roaring in pain. "RRRGHHHHHHH.....!!!" Luffy lands nearby, startled. "HMI" "HYUHHHH!!" He stares at the fallen beast. "WHOA!!" A close-up shows its eye and scaly hide. "ITS SKIN IS REALLY HARD!!"

The dragon thrashes violently, smashing through stone ruins. "GGRR RRRHHH HHH!!!" "UWAAHHHHH!!!" Luffy is hurled backward by the force. "LUFFY!!!" The beast's head looms close, eyes glowing. "I CAN FEEL YOUR PRESENCE, PFFT!!!" "HUHI" Franky watches intently from the side. "GO ON, TRY IT."

The dragon smashes through more rubble as Luffy is sent flying. "WHOO AAAAA AAAA!!" Zoro appears, blades flashing. "SANTOURYUU" He slashes at the creature. "LUFFY'S RIGHT... THIS THING REALLY CAN TALK!" The dragon lunges with claws extended. "...TORA-GARI!!!" Luffy dives in to strike again.

The dragon's jaws snap shut with terrifying force. "UGH...!!!!" Franky reacts in shock. "WHAT'S UP WITH ITS STRENGTHI! AND ITS TOUGHNESSI!!" Luffy clings to its head, struggling. "NGUOOOHHHHH!!!" The beast roars and thrashes. "RGGGGHO GHHHHH!!!" "YOU'RE GOING DOWN FOR THAT!!!" Zoro grits his teeth. "...NNNN GHHH!!!"

Luffy stares in shock as a small creature on the ground speaks. "IT TALKED!!!" he yells. "SEEI! I TOLD YOU!!!" A voice calls out "LUFFY!!" In the next panel a massive dragon-like beast with a sword lunges forward, roaring. Below, Luffy and the dark-haired woman in the patterned top react as the creature flies past. "WHOA AHH!!" Luffy shouts. "...I! NOW IT'S FLYING!!" the woman exclaims. Someone else cries, "I HEARD IT TALK TOO... BUT HOWI!" The giant dragon creature turns, growling "GGRR RRHHH HHH!!!" and demands "PFFT!! ARE YOU FRIENDS OF THE SHICHIBUKAI P!!" Luffy and the woman are blasted back by the force, yelling "WHOA OAHAH HHH!!!"

The dragon-like creature continues its rampage amid swirling smoke and flames. "AAAAAGHHHH!!! SO HOT!! AND IT TALKED AGAIN TOO!!!" the dark-haired woman screams while being pulled along. A voice wonders, "IT MENTIONED THE SHICHIBUKAI... DOES IT HAVE SOME KIND OF GRUDGE AGAINST THEM...I!" The beast smashes through structures as Luffy and a swordsman with white hair leap into action. "I'LL SMACK IT DOWN TO YOU!!" someone shouts. The swordsman yells "LUFFY!! LET ME HANDLE THIS THING!!" Luffy replies "I'LL SLICE IT TO PIECES!!!" and "ALL RIGHT THEN!!" The creature roars with "OWO WOWO WOWO...!!!" and "ガし!!" as the fighters close in.

The dragon-like creature thrashes violently, sending the white-haired swordsman flying through the air with a rope. "WAHHHH!!" he screams. "WHOA!!" Luffy yells from below. The beast crashes down, its body glowing with heat. Luffy lies on the ground, sweating heavily. "EVEN ITS BODY IS HOT..." he mutters amid sound effects "ブっブっゴォ!!" and "OWN W..." A large figure in a straw hat appears nearby. "HUUH!II" Luffy reacts in surprise. The straw-hatted figure comments on the flames: "PFFT... AHHH, THIS COOLNESS IS WONDERFUL...!!!" and "THESE FLAMES ARE SO REFRESHING!!!" while Luffy stares in confusion.

The straw-hatted figure stands atop the dragon-like creature's head, having driven something deep into it. "HE'S STUCK RIGHT INTO THE DRAGON'S HEAD!!!" a voice exclaims. "HEY, YOU GUYS!! IT'S TERRIBLE!! THERE'S A PERSON!!" Luffy and others react with shock: "HUHHHI!! WHAT KIND OF SITUATION IS THAT!!" and "THEN THE VOICE WE HEARD WAS..." Luffy grabs the creature's wing, grinning. "WHY, YOU......!!! HAVE A BITE OF THIS WING, WHY DON'T YOUI!!" The dragon roars in pain with "AH!" and "バウン!!" as Luffy bites down. "UOO DRGG HHHH!!!" the beast howls. Luffy laughs wildly: "SHI SHISHI!!! STUPID DRAGON!!!"

Usopp launches a desperate attack as the massive dragon-like beast looms overhead. "TRAMPOLIA!!" he yells. The creature crashes down with a thunderous "GUDDORG GHHHH!!!" as debris flies everywhere. Zoro calls out urgently, "ZORO!! IT'S COMING DOWN!!!" Usopp steadies himself and declares, "......!! ALL RIGHT THEN!! HISSATSU: MIDORIBOSHI!!" A sharp "SNAP!!" echoes as the technique activates. Nearby, a voice strains with "ITTOU-RYUU..." while another grunts "IAI...!!" The beast roars in pain with "UOR GGHH HH!!!" as impacts land and the ground shakes violently.

The massive dragon-like beast thrashes wildly as Usopp clings to it. "WHOOAH!! AWESOME!!!" someone shouts in excitement. The creature bellows "SHI SHISHI SANSON!!!!" while smashing through structures. Luffy yells from below, "WE CAN BARBECUE IT IN THE ISLAND'S FLAMES." The beast laughs maniacally "AHAHAH AHAH!!" and taunts, "THIS DRAGON LOOKS TASTY!" Explosions and impacts rock the scene as the fighters struggle against the enormous foe.

On the Thousand Sunny, Sanji presents a dish with a sign reading "SOUTHWEST OF THE ISLAND, THE THOUSAND SUNNY". He says, "A REFRESHINGLY COOL DEEP-WATER FISH CREPE!" and "NNNNAMI -SAAAAAAA AAAAAA! THIS TIME I HAVE BROUGHT YOU..." Nami and others appear asleep. "HMI! THEY'RE ASLEEP..." and "AND A LITTLE CHAMPAGNE TO..." Sanji reacts with shock. Elsewhere, gas spreads as someone gasps "URRG HH!!" and questions "...MISTI" A figure warns, "!!!! THE OTHERS, ON THE ISLAND... IF THEY'VE GOT A BABY DEN-DEN MUSHI..." while another realizes "THIS GAS MUST'VE SENT THEM TO SLEEP!! IS IT NATURALI!" and "DAMN IT... I'VE ALREADY BREATHED IN QUITE A BIT OF THE STUFF!!"

Unconscious figures lie on the ground as gas-masked soldiers in striped uniforms with "PH" markings approach. One soldier says, "I'VE GOTTA..." and "...LET THEM KNOW..." while another orders, "TIE THEM ALL UP." The soldiers discuss, "TWO HUMANS, ONE HUMANOID IRON CREATURE..." and "NOBODY WILL RAISE A FUSS OVER THE DISAPPEARANCE OF A FEW PIRATES..." concluding "WE OFFER THEM TO OUR MASTER... THEY'RE PIRATES... PERFECT." A voice mutters "ROGER THAT!!" as the soldiers prepare to capture the fallen crew.

On the rocky, ruined ground of Punk Hazard, several figures struggle with a massive striped torso. A voice shouts, "I'M GONNA PULL YOU OUT OF THERE, SO HOLD STILL!!" Another yells, "HEY!! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLEI!! GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME, PFFT!!" while a third insists, "I'M PULLING HIM OUT!!" A caption notes, "BACK ON PUNK HAZARD..." Someone counts, "ONE, TWO, ANND..." The torso suddenly splits apart with a loud "POP!!" as the pullers react in horror. A woman in a checkered outfit cries, "YOU IDIOT!! AS IF 'SORRY' IS GOING TO MAKE ANY DIFFERENCE!! YOU'VE KILLED HIM!!!" The separated upper body screams, "AAAAAGHHHHH!!! HE CAME APART!! I'M SORRY!!!" Nearby characters stare in shock. One shouts, "IT'S A MONSTEE EEEER!!!" Another exclaims, "HE TALKED!!! WHAT IS HE, A ZOMBIEI!!" The striped torso speaks calmly, "AHH!! IT SEEMS I HAVE BEEN PULLED FREE, PFFT!!" Luffy stares with wide eyes and an open mouth while the woman looks on tensely. The page ends with the note "66 The Path Towards the Sun (End)".

The group stands amid rubble as the striped torso stands upright. A voice remarks, "I CAN SENSE THAT PEOPLE ARE HERE AND WHAT THEY ARE DOING BY THEIR PRESENCE..." Another says, "HOW STRANGE. I DON'T SEE ANY SIGNS OF THE OTHER HALF OF HIS BODY." The torso notes, "THEN... HE WAS ONLY HALF A BODY TO BEGIN WITH!" Someone comments, "YOU'RE A PRETTY WEIRD GUY, HUH...I" and "HE'S PRETTY BIG, TOO..." The torso adds, "BUT ALAS... I HAVE NO EYES OR EARS...!!!" Suddenly the torso lunges violently with motion lines and impact effects "ドン!!" Luffy yells, "WHOA HH!!!" The torso declares, "PFFT!! I DO NOT KNOW WHO YOU ARE, BUT YOU WILL NOT STAND IN MY WAY!! I CANNOT AFFORD TO PERISH IN SUCH A PLACE AS THIS, PFFT!!!" Luffy shouts back, "WAIT UP!! YOU HAVE GOT TO JOIN MY CREW!!!" The torso refuses, "YOU WILL NOT ESCAPE ME SO EASILY...!!!" as it attacks. Luffy is sent flying with a cry of "NOOO OOOOO OOO!!!" while the torso is labeled "ACCURSED SHICHIBUKAI...!!!" Someone yells, "AHH!! HE RAN OFF!!"
