Chapter title page for "About my Torso." The cover serial reads: "From Shipdecks Around The World Vol 41: The Sabaody Archipelago - Slave Trader Disco Has Come Down In The World." Disco sits ragged and defeated near graves or markers labeled with names such as "human," "sundry," and "wanted," drinking while bubbles drift across the ruined-looking ground. This page is useful cover-story material about the post-timeskip world, but it is separate from the Punk Hazard chapter narrative.

On Punk Hazard, the G-5 Marines are still pushing through the poisoned, frozen side of the island when the ground and volcanoes answer with violence. A Marine cries, "It erupted...!!!" as smoke and fire burst upward. Another shouts, "Whoa hhhh hh!!" The place itself feels hostile, and one Marine says, "Visiting this island... makes me feel like I'm being glared at by Akainu and Aokiji..." Another shudders, "*Shudder*!! Ahhhhhhhh... I don't like it one bit...!" The order comes sharply: "Fire!" Cannon shots smash into the ice and snow around the ship as they try to force a path forward. The page keeps the Marines under pressure from both the island's warped climate and their own desperate attempt to approach the shore.

The G-5 ship enters a narrow waterway cut through enormous walls of ice. A Marine exclaims, "There really was a river on the other side of that giant mass of ice!!" Another asks, "How did you know there'd be a river there, Smoke-yan?!" Smoker answers that if they had paid more attention to the currents, they would have seen it too: "The issue isn't why there was a river here. The issue is whether that mass of ice sealing off the entrance was natural... or placed there on purpose." A Marine recoils at the idea: "You think someone might be living on this gas-covered island?! That's crazy... You'd have to wear a mask day in, day out!!" The page shows Smoker already looking past the obvious danger. He is not simply navigating the ice; he suspects the island's entrance has been deliberately concealed.

03
The Marines laugh off the idea that a Den-Den Mushi could be here, but Tashigi cuts through the noise: "The voice we intercepted said the name of this island, that much is certain." Another Marine says, "You probably heard wrong, Tashigi-chan! I mean, think about it! A Den-Den Mushi wouldn't survive here!" Tashigi responds that if they have time to laugh, they should help break through the next ice wall. The ship is suddenly boxed in again: "Aghhhh!! The hell is this?!" A warning rings out: "Another wall of ice is floating right this way!!" The Marines see the huge wall drifting toward their battleship, and the order becomes urgent: "Fire all cannons!!" One Marine says, "Even a Marine battleship will sink if that thing comes crashing into it!!!" The page turns Smoker's suspicion into immediate proof of danger: the ice itself moves like a trap.

The scene cuts to Luffy's team on Punk Hazard's burning side, with a map label showing the split island: cool on one side, hot on the other. The wind howls so hard that Usopp cries, "The wind is crazy strong!!" and another voice yells, "Look over on the other side!! It's a proper blizzard!!!" Robin explains, "That's only natural. Such an extreme difference in temperature in such a small area... is bound to create powerful air currents." The group looks across the lake, where half the island burns while the far side is buried under ice. Usopp asks, "How are we meant to cross this great lake, anyway?!" Zoro suggests, "The change in temperature could do us good after all this sweating. I say we swim." Usopp screams, "Like hell we do!!" Luffy adds the practical problem: "Robin and me can't swim, so..." Usopp tells them, "You'd better not be thinking we should ferry you on our backs!!" Luffy insists, "...!! Well, if we've got to get over to the other side no matter what, there's nothing else for it!! Out of the way, guys!"

Usopp solves the lake crossing with a Pop Green. He launches "Hissatsu: Midori-boshi!!" and the seed blooms into "Boaty Banana!!" while another plant becomes "Fan-Grass!!" The huge banana-shaped vessel settles on the water, and Luffy cheers, "Whoaaa!! It made a boat!" Robin praises him: "Huh... Not bad going, Usopp!" Usopp explains that they can use the fan-grass as oars. He says he has many different kinds of seed and remembers the Boin Archipelago: "I spent plenty of time in the Boin Archipelago. The place is like a treasure trove of crazy plants!! The further I ventured into the depths of the most dangerous islands... the more useful the plants I managed to find!" He adds proudly, "Why, after surviving two whole years of my life on those islands, there's no challenge in the world that could..." Then someone cuts him off: "Hurry up, Usopp! We're leaving!!"

The Straw Hats launch the banana boat toward the frozen side. Luffy sits high on his new legged companion and shouts, "And off we go!! To the land of snow cones!!!" Usopp, stuck doing the rowing, yells, "You could try rowing!!" while Zoro notices the water: "The water is literally boiling..." The wind fights them immediately. Someone warns, "The wind is so strong!! And it's a headwind, to boot!!" Then a rock crashes toward them from behind. A voice yells, "Hold it, you ruffians!!!" Luffy notices with "!?" while Zoro identifies the danger: "It's that centaur from before!!" Another warns, "A great big rock!! That's dangerous!!!" The page turns the crossing into a chase: the lake is boiling, the wind is against them, and the centaur has followed them into the route toward the frozen side.

07
The centaur gallops after the boat, furious. Luffy asks, "Hey! Have you decided you want to join my crew after all?!" Usopp shouts back, "Don't tell me you were recruiting again!!!" and Zoro adds, "You really need to stop trying to recruit every freakish creature you meet!!!" Luffy only laughs, "Ahaha haha..." The centaur receives a call through his Baby Den-Den Mushi. A horn-like sound draws his attention, and the voice warns, "Boooss!!! The intruders are headed your way!!! Take them out for me!!" The centaur reacts, "'Boss'...?" and speaks into the line: "It's cold so cold... Is that you, boss...?!!" The page reveals that the centaur is connected to the island's organization and is not acting alone; someone is using him to intercept Luffy's group.

Robin spots a dark mass ahead through the storm and says, "I can see something up ahead..." Luffy asks, "On the opposite shore..." The boat draws closer until silhouettes appear in the blizzard: a group of large figures waiting beside the snow. Luffy asks, "Is that..." and Usopp realizes, "...their 'boss'...?!" The Den-Den Mushi report suddenly makes more sense, and Usopp panics, "Then... does that mean the distress signal we heard was meant for this guy...?! If it was, they've got some nerve attacking us after we came to help!!!" Robin notices one detail: "I see one of them wields a katana." Zoro, silent and watchful, understands the implication. The page prepares the collision between the Straw Hats and the forces on the frozen shore, with a swordsman among them who may be linked to the samurai mystery.

The action cuts to Nami's team inside the former research institute of Dr. Vegapunk on Punk Hazard's ice side. Children run ahead, shouting, "Hiya hhhh hh!" and "Hoya hhh!" while one calls, "This way, childreeen!! If you want to escape, run as fast as you can!" Nami notices Chopper's energy and says, "You're certainly full of energy, Chopper!" Chopper, protecting the group, answers, "Sanji entrusted me with protecting you all!! Hnyah uhhhhhhh! When I've got a job to do, I don't do it by halves! Haya ahhhhh!!" Nami asks, "But where are we actually running to...?" while Sanji's team fights back in the Biscuits Room. Franky launches "Weapons Left!!" into the guards, smashing through them as the children flee. The page runs both escape and battle in parallel: Nami and Chopper lead the children out, while Sanji and Franky hold the room behind them.

Franky's attack sends guards flying with "Whoaaaaaaaa!!" while Sanji keeps pressure on the others. Franky laughs, "Ahahahahaha hah!! Suuuuuper!!!" A guard realizes, "That man's whole body is covered in weaponry! He must be the one who broke down the door!!" Another changes tactics: "Switch to poison gas grenades!! The children aren't here any more!! It's time to gas the lot of 'em!!!" Sanji steps in before they can fire. He asks coldly, "Then why don't you take off your masks... and join in the gassy fun, eh?!" The guard's body twists under Sanji's attack, groaning, "Ngue rhh..." The page shows the enemy escalating to lethal gas the instant the children are gone, and Sanji answering by forcing the masked guards to face the same danger they planned to use.

Sanji hurls the suited guards into one another, and the gas-mask formation breaks apart. One guard shouts, "Our air-tanks and masks are out of action!! Don't fire the gas grenades!!!" Sanji pauses, startled, when their exposed faces are revealed: "What are these people... Sheep!!" The guards have animal-like heads and features beneath the masks, and one groans, "Una... ghhhh, ha...!!" Another asks, "What are you playing at...?" Franky, panting, wonders, "Who is this person...?! He is not easily defeated...!!" The samurai head complains, "Seriously, what are you talking about?" and then insists, "Oh, it's nothing...!! Just a little situation with my body...!!!" The page gives another Punk Hazard abnormality: the facility soldiers are not ordinary humans in suits, and the samurai's missing body is causing trouble elsewhere at the same time.

Outside the former research institute of Dr. Vegapunk on Punk Hazard's ice side, Brook confronts the samurai's torso and legs. He cries, "Ahhhh!! Hold on!! What is this?! What happened to your head and legs?! What's going on?! Who in the world are you!!" The torso attacks him with swords, and Brook, unnerved, says, "This is quite terrifying!! Could you please say something?!!" He asks, "Are you a ghost?! In broad daylight?!!" The torso's silence makes it worse. Brook explains, "I only came onto the island to make a snowman or two while I wait!!" The page ties the scattered body mystery together: Sanji's group has the head, Luffy's group has the legs, and Brook has found the dangerous remaining torso on the ice side.
Brook
13
Brook continues fighting the silent torso in the snow. The torso stomps in and swings both swords with frightening strength. Brook dodges and cries, "Scary!! Too strong, and too scary!!" The torso attacks again with a named move-like shout rendered on the page as "Aubade: Coup Droit!!" Brook is driven back, shouting, "Nnnnghhhhhh!!" as the blades and kicks press him through the snow. The page emphasizes how dangerous the body is even without a head: it cannot speak, but it can fight fiercely with two swords, and Brook is forced into a defensive battle against what looks like a headless swordsman.
Brook
14
The torso's blades come in fast, and Brook keeps retreating. A sword slash passes with "Swish," and Brook pleads, "I would really quite like you to stop!!!" He trembles, "This is too scary, and too creepy!!" The torso draws or shifts weapons with "Ka-chink!!" and Brook realizes, "Ahhhh!! He uses two swords!!" Then he asks the obvious question: "Why are you even attacking me?!!" and adds, "...Oh, for heaven's sake!!" The page keeps the fight almost wordless on the torso's side, which makes it more unsettling. Brook is dealing with an enemy who has no face, no explanation, and a full swordsman's aggression.

At the Punk Hazard research laboratory, a report comes in about the G-5 ship. The Marine battleship is slowly breaking through the ice walls and pushing inland. A watcher asks, "Do they have some kind of knowledge of what lies ahead...? What drives them to so stubbornly approach this island?!!" Another reports, "Eventually, they will reach this facility!! The ship is captained by Vice-Admiral Smoker of G-5!" The order from the facility is cold: "Of all the men to stumble upon this place, why did it have to be him...? Conceal all the ships at the main entrance...!!!" The subordinate asks, "How should we proceed...?" and receives the answer: "Nobody is supposed to be in this place... Make sure you aren't seen. I won't be able to leave, either." The page shows the facility trying to erase signs of occupation before Smoker arrives, because his presence is especially dangerous to their secrecy.

16
Outside the hidden facility, the G-5 Marines keep pressing through the blizzard. One says, "I can't believe it... There really isn't any gas to be seen..." Another asks, "Where did all the gas back at the entrance come from...?" A Marine voice shouts from the ship, "From somebody who'd rather we didn't hang 'round, I'll wager." Another challenges the unseen occupants: "Who the heck is living in this place?! Hey!! Show yourselves!!!" They pound at the main doors, shouting, "This island is off-limits, you criminals!! Whoever's in there, you're all under arrest!! Get out here!!!" Someone proposes blasting it open: "This door won't hold up for long if we hit it with the cannons!!" But before they need to, the door creaks open. A Marine says, "Ah... it opened." Another yells, "Decided to come quietly, eh?! Good choice!! Surrender to the Marines!!!"

17
The figure waiting behind the door is not a nameless facility guard. Trafalgar Law stands calmly in the doorway, introduced as "World Government Privateer 'Royal Shichibukai' Trafalgar Law," with a former bounty of 440,000,000 beli. Law looks at Smoker and asks, "What business do you have at my villa? White Hunter..." The G-5 Marines scream in panic: "Aaaagghhhhhhhh!!!" The reveal changes the entire situation. Punk Hazard is not merely hiding unknown scientists, animal-faced guards, and children; one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea is standing at the entrance and calling the place his own villa.
Trafalgar LawSmoker
18
The Marines recognize him immediately: "Trafalgar Law!!!!" One shouts, "What's a Shichibukai doing in a place like this?!!!" Others panic over his reputation: "We oughta leave quick, Smoker-san!!" "We don't want to get involved with this guy!!!" "This guy's a monster!! He delivered the hearts of a hundred pirates to Marine HQ in exchange for his Shichibukai title!!!" Another adds, "That's so creepy!!" Tashigi remains silent and wary. Smoker confronts Law directly: "This island is off-limits to everyone, friend of the Government or otherwise... Law." Law answers with a faint smile: "Then I guess that would include you, too... am I right?" The page ends with two dangerous men facing each other: Smoker asserting Marine authority, and Law calmly turning the rule back on him.
