THE MONSTER FROM GRAND LINE

At the main entrance of Arlong Park, a large whole pig is roasting on a spit over a roaring fire. Sitting nearby is the octopus fishman Hatchan, holding a trumpet. He looks at the roasting pig and says, "LOOKS LIKE IT'S ABOUT TIME!" He hums, "DOO DOO DAH DOO." Hatchan then raises the trumpet to his mouth and blows a loud, blaring tune: "BUPAPA BUPAPA BUPAPAPAA BUPAPAPAA..." He shouts out toward the water, "MOMOO! TIME FOR YOUR MEAL!"

Out in the water, a massive, dark silhouette of a horned sea monster emerges, accompanied by a rumbling "ZOOOOOOO" sound. A speech bubble from the creature reads "BUPAPAPA!". The creature's large head breaks the surface, water bubbling around it with a "GOBO GOBO GOBO" sound as it sniffs the air, "SNIFF SNIFF". Back inside Arlong Park, Roronoa Zoro is lying on a lounge chair, waking up. He sits up, rubbing his head, and says, "HUH? WHAT'S THAT TRUMPET NOISE I HEARD JUST NOW...?" Around him, several fishmen lie unconscious on the ground, defeated.

Hatchan stands by the roasting pig, looking confused. He says, "THAT'S STRAAAANGE.... WHAT'S WITH HIM!? ROASTED PIG SHOULD BE HIS FAVOURITE! MAYBE HE ALREADY HAD HIS MEAL...? WELL, I'LL JUST EAT THIS THEN!" Zoro approaches him from behind. Hatchan turns around, startled, exclaiming "NYU!" Zoro asks, "WAS THAT... YOU WHO BLEW THAT TRUMPET JUST NOW?" Hatchan stammers, "W-WHO ARE YOU!? WHO, ME? I'M HACCHAN! YOU CAN CALL ME HACHI!" Zoro stares at him blankly. Hatchan continues, "SO YOU'RE A FISHMAN TOO? YUP, YUP! I'M A CHARMING OCTOPUS FISHMAN! I FEEL LIKE I'VE SEEN YOU BEFORE...! ARE YOU WITH THE MARINES? OR ARE YOU A GUEST?" Zoro replies calmly, "GUEST? YEAH... I'M PROBABLY MORE OF A GUEST."

Hatchan, still oblivious, says, "BUT YOU KNOW, ARLONG'S NOT HERE RIGHT NOW. YEAH, HE'S NOT. WHERE'D HE GO? BUT ARLONG WENT TO COCOYASHI VILLAGE TO GO CATCH THE OTHER HUMAN! IT SEEMS THAT THIS LONG NOSED INTRUDER GOT AWAY FROM US. WE ALREADY HAVE ONE OF HIS COMPANIONS TIED UP HERE," Zoro thinks to himself, "MUST BE USOPP... WELL, I GUESS I'LL GO SAVE HIM IN THE MEANWHILE... HOW CAN I GET TO THAT VILLAGE?" Hatchan, with a question mark over his head, offers, "GET ON! YOU'RE A GUEST, AREN'T YOU? I'LL GIVE YOU A LIFT!" Meanwhile, out at sea, Luffy, Sanji, and Yosaku are sitting around a table on their small boat, eating a meal. Luffy suddenly looks up and asks, "WHAT'S THAT?" Sanji looks shocked, his cigarette dropping from his mouth. Yosaku screams in terror, "AGHHHHHH!".

A gigantic sea cow with a ring in its nose looms over their small boat, casting a massive shadow. It sniffs the air, "SNIFF SNIFF...". Yosaku screams in absolute terror, "IT'S A SEA MONSTERRRRRR!!!" A close-up shows the sea cow's face staring down at them with large eyes. A text box introduces the creature: "CAME OUT TO THE WRONG PLACE. MEMBER OF THE ARLONG PIRATES FIGHTER THE SEA COW MOMOO". A rumbling "GOGOGOGOGO" sound effect surrounds the massive beast.

Yosaku is in full panic mode, yelling, "WHAT'S A CREATURE LIKE THIS DOING IN EAST BLUE! IT'S INCONCEIVABLE!" Sanji, calmly smoking his cigarette, observes, "A COW? AND IT SWIMS? ISN'T THAT JUST A.. HIPPO?" Luffy looks up in awe, his mouth wide open, "A COW! IT'S SOOOO BIG!" Momoo leans closer to the boat, sniffing the air again, "SNIFF SNIFF". Yosaku screams, "THIS IS A GRAND LINE MONSTER!" Momoo stares intently at the food on their table, sniffing "KUN KUN". Sanji deduces, "IT MUST WANT THE FOOD!" Luffy angrily replies, "WHAT!?" Yosaku frantically yells, "HURRY UP AND JUST GIVE THE FOOD BEFORE HE OVERTURNS OUR SHIP!"

Luffy stretches his arm far back, his knuckles cracking with a "BAKI" sound. He yells, "GOMU GOMU PISTOL!!" and launches a powerful punch straight into Momoo's face. The impact lands with a massive "BAM!!!!" Momoo is sent flying backward, crashing heavily into the water with a huge splash, "ZABAAAN".

Luffy points an angry finger forward, shouting, "DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY FOOD!" Yosaku cheers enthusiastically, "YOU DID IT, BROTHER LUFFY! THAT WAS AMAZING!" Suddenly, Sanji kicks Luffy hard in the back of the head with a "GAKIN!!!" sound. Sanji yells angrily, "YOU DUMBASSES! DON'T JUST BEAT UP SOMETHING ONLY FOR BEING HUNGRY!" Momoo rises from the water again, looking furious and roaring, "MOOOOOO!" Yosaku screams, "AGHHHH! IT LOOKS LIKE YOU JUST MADE IT ANGRIER!" Luffy, rubbing his head, says, "I'LL SOCK HIM ONE MORE TIME THEN!" Sanji steps forward, holding out a plate of food toward the giant sea cow. "HERE, EAT UP." Momoo looks surprised, a "!" appearing next to its head. Sanji says sympathetically, "I'M SURE IT'S INJURED SOMEWHERE SO IT CAN'T FIND FOOD ON ITS OWN. ISN'T THAT RIGHT...?" Luffy mutters in the background, "TALK ABOUT CARING..."

As Momoo leans in, Sanji suddenly delivers a brutal, high-powered kick straight to the sea cow's chin with a loud "BAKOOOON" sound. Sanji screams, "DIE!!!" Momoo is sent reeling backward from the massive impact. Yosaku is completely shocked, yelling, "WHAT WAS THAT!?" Sanji calmly takes a drag from his cigarette and says, "THAT THING WAS ABOUT TO TAKE A BITE OUT OF ME TOO". Momoo glares down at them, its eyes wide with rage, roaring furiously, "MOOOOOOOO!".

Momoo charges aggressively at the small boat, its massive jaws wide open, tearing through the water with a "ZABAAAAA" sound. Yosaku screams in terror, "AHHH, IT'S COMING TO SINK THE SHIP!" Sanji steps forward, telling Luffy, "MOVE OVER. I'LL DEAL WITH HIM MYSELF." Luffy, sitting back, says, "THEN I'LL..." Sanji leaps high into the air, heading straight for Momoo's open mouth. He prepares his attack, yelling, "COLLIER..."

Sanji delivers a devastating kick directly to Momoo's neck, the impact echoing with a massive "ZUDOOOON!!!" sound. He finishes his attack name, shouting, "SHOOT!!" Luffy watches in amazement, exclaiming, "WHOA!" Sanji lands gracefully back on the boat, exhaling smoke and muttering, "DAMN HIPPO..."

Momoo crashes down into the ocean, completely defeated, sending up a huge splash of water, "ZABAAAAAN". Sanji sits back down at the table, stretching his arms. "THAT WAS A NICE LITTLE EXERCISE. ALRIGHT, LET'S EAT!" Yosaku, sweating profusely, thinks to himself, "THESE PEOPLE ARE INSANE..." Momoo slowly sinks beneath the waves. The small boat continues sailing peacefully. Luffy says, "YOSAKU, GIMME SOME TEA!" Sanji adds, "ME TOO!" Yosaku, still recovering from the shock, replies, "COMIN' RIGHT UP..."

Hatchan is swimming through the water, carrying Zoro on his back. Hatchan points ahead and says, "WE'RE HERE! THIS IS COCOYASHI VILLAGE! ARLONG SHOULD BE HERE SOMEWHERE!" Zoro replies, "ALRIGHT, THANKS." Zoro steps off onto the wooden dock. Hatchan waves goodbye, saying, "DON'T MENTION IT! TAKE CARE! AND COME VISIT AGAIN!" Zoro waves back, "BYE THEN!" As Zoro walks away, he thinks to himself, "HE'S A STRANGE FISHMAN, ALRIGHT... YEAH..." Zoro walks down a path into Cocoyasi Village, his swords at his side. He thinks, "SO THAT SAW-NOSE IS IN THIS TOWN TOO, HUH... WELL, WHATEVER.. I'LL LOOK FOR OUR LONG-NOSE FIRST."

Back at Arlong Park, the large multi-story building stands tall. A loud "DOOOON" sound effect emphasizes the tension. Arlong's voice booms, "WHAT'S THE MEANING OF THIS!?" A close-up shows Arlong's eyes wide with fury as he demands, "JUST WHAT ON EARTH... HAPPENED HERE!?" Arlong looks out over the courtyard, which is completely littered with the unconscious bodies of his defeated fishmen crew. He screams in anguish and rage, "MY BRETHREN!!!"

Arlong grabs one of the injured fishmen by the shirt, lifting him up. "RORONOA ZORO!? THAT PIRATE HUNTER!? DID HE COME FOR MY HEAD!?" The battered fishman weakly replies, "NO, THAT'S NOT IT..." Arlong looks shocked, "WHAT!?" The fishman explains, "THAT GUY... WAS ZORO...! THAT GUY WITH THE HARMAKI WE CAUGHT EARLIER... WAS ZORO...!" Nearby, the fishman Chew is holding a battered Usopp up by his collar. Chew says, "CHU! I FINALLY CAUGHT HIM! I COULD'VE KILLED HIM, BUT I THOUGHT YOU'D FEEL A LOT BETTER IF YOU KILLED HIM YOURSELF." Usopp chokes, "GACK!"

Usopp struggles in Chew's grip, pleading frantically, "R-RIGHT!? THEN W-WHY DON'T YOU... JUST LET ME GO, HUH!? THAT UHH... THING I DID EARLIER WAS JUST MY WAY OF SAYING HELLO! EVERYONE IN MY HOMETOWN SAYS HELLO THAT WAY!" Arlong glares menacingly at Usopp, his sharp teeth bared. "THAT PIPSQUEAK AIN'T NEARLY ENOUGH TO SATISFY MY RAGE RIGHT NOW..." Chew looks around the devastated courtyard and asks, "CHU! WAIT A MINUTE... WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" Usopp realizes, "COULD IT HAVE BEEN... ZORO!?" Kuroobi asks Arlong, "BUT HOW DID HE ESCAPE...? HAVE YOU CONSIDERED THIS LINE OF THOUGHT, ARLONG?" Kuroobi turns suspicion toward Nami, who is standing nearby. "MAYBE NAMI PURPOSELY BROUGHT HIM HERE, SO HE COULD TRY TO TAKE YOUR HEAD...?" The other fishmen start murmuring. "NAMI!?" "NOW THAT YOU MENTION IT, SHE WAS ACTING PRETTY FUNNY TODAY...." "HMM... YEAH, SHE DID DIVE INTO THE WATER TO SAVE HIM...!"

Nami turns around, looking furious. She yells, "ALRIGHT, THAT'S ENOUGH! DON'T JUST MAKE CONCLUSIONS FROM FALSE PREMISES! JUST WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY!?" A fishman in the background mutters, "BETRAYING PEOPLE, IS HER SPECIALTY, AFTER ALL." Nami turns her back to them, prominently displaying the Arlong Pirates tattoo on her left shoulder. "8 YEARS AGO, I SWORE ON THIS TATTOO THAT I'D BE A MEMBER OF THE ARLONG PIRATES! SO WHY WOULD I RISK ALL OF THAT BY PULLING A STUPID STUNT LIKE THIS!? IT WON'T EVEN BE LONG BEFORE I RAISE UP THE PROMISED AMOUNT," Usopp watches her, shocked, thinking, "NAMI! SO YOU'RE REALLY..." Arlong bursts into laughter, holding his hand up appeasingly. "OF COURSE. MY BAD, MY BAD. I APOLOGIZE FOR DOUBTING YOU. CONSIDERING YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT A LOYAL CREWMEMBER FOR THE PAST 8 YEARS, YOU'RE CERTAINLY MORE THAN JUSTIFIED TO GET ANGRY AT US. WE WERE A LITTLE TOO RASH BUT WE BELIEVE YOU." Nami glares silently, thinking to herself, "THAT ZORO...! HE JUST HAD TO GO AND CAUSE MORE UNNECESSARY TROUBLE...!"

Arlong points at Usopp, who is still held by Chew, and declares, "THE ONES WE NEED TO GET RID OF RIGHT NOW, ARE RORONOA ZORO AND.... HIS COMPANION!" Usopp reaches out desperately toward Nami and cries, "W-WAIT! HELP!" Nami looks on, her eyes wide with shock and sweat on her face. Meanwhile, in Cocoyasi Village, Zoro is talking to a local man. The man says, "WHAT? USOPP WAS TAKEN TO ARLONG PARK!?" Zoro replies, "YEAH, I JUST SAW HIM BEING TAKEN THERE... SON OF A! I JUST MISSED HIM!" Out at sea, Luffy's small boat is now being rapidly pulled through the water by a bruised and crying Momoo. Luffy sits at the front, cheering, "YAHOO! FASTER, FASTER! FULL SPEED AHEAD TO ARLONG PARK!" Momoo swims frantically, splashing water everywhere.
