A GREAT QUARREL

The scene opens over the city of Water Seven, with a wide view of the towering fountain-like structure at the city center labeled "ZOUSENJIMA, CITY CENTER" and "WATER SEVEN". The view shifts to the imposing Galley-La Company headquarters building. Three men in dark suits and hats stand outside; the central figure with wild hair and a cigarette is Iceburg. One man says, "In that case, we will take our leave for today..." with sound effect "バタン……!!". Iceburg mutters, "They just send me here again and again. Can't they think in my shoes for once...!I" Another replies, "Plus, it's still not certain if he has it or not..." A third adds, "What a stubborn man..." while a voice trails off "........!!".

Inside a luxurious room, a blond man in a striped suit speaks with Kalifa, who stands in the doorway. He says, "Nma!! Kalifa, you're so thoughtful!!" She replies, "I have it right here." He continues, "Some red tea please. Would you like some refreshmentI You must be tired, Iceberg-san." Kalifa answers, "You flatter me." and "Nma! Come in." with sound effect "コクショッ！". In another room, Iceburg sits while a woman pours tea; he thinks, "Ah. They want to take something that's mine. They keep making deals with me." and "Why do they keep coming again and againI And Kaku always leaves with an angry look on his face." A wanted poster for Nico Robin with bounty "79,000,000" is visible. Iceburg says, "But he just refuses to believe me and keeps blabbering..." and "Nma... I told them I don't have it..." while another voice notes, "It must be very important."

On the deck of the Going Merry near Water Seven, a small projectile flies through the air with sound effect "ヒュヒュヒュ……→」 as someone shouts "Ah!". Usopp, wearing his hat, peers through a window and exclaims "REALLY!I THAT'S GREAT!!" while Chopper, in his hat, yells excitedly "HEY---!! USOPP IS AWAKE!!" with tongue out. On the ship, crew members react with surprise. The view returns to Water Seven's fountain tower as a figure on the balcony calls out "HEY--- USOPP---!!" and Sanji, smoking, wonders "...HM... WHY HASN'T ROBIN-CHAN COME BACK YET...I" while Nami stands nearby.

Usopp, wearing his mask and helmet, thrashes in distress while shouting, "I'M SORRY, EVERYONE!!! I LOST OUR MONEY!!" A voice pleads, "HEY... CALM DOWN... HEY!!" while another laments, "WE WORKED SO HARD TO GET THAT MONEY AND I JUST GAVE IT ALL AWAY LIKE THAT!!!" Someone calls out, "USOPP! YOU NEED REST!!!" In the next scene inside the room, Nami stands with hands on hips saying, "YOU'RE LUCKY THAT YOU'RE STILL ALIVE...!!!" Usopp replies in shock, "LUCKY!I WE LOST 200 MIL-..." Sanji smokes nearby as Luffy sits cross-legged and Chopper clings to Franky. The group discusses their situation: "DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT!!" "EVEN IF HE DOESN'T, WE STILL HAVE 100 MILLION." "WE DON'T KNOW YET, WE'RE WAITING FOR FRANKY TO COME BACK." "...SO IN THE END, WE STILL DON'T HAVE IT..." Franky, still masked, spreads his arms and declares, "NOPE! USOPP, WE NEED TO MAKE THE SHIP EVEN STRONGER FOR US TO CONQUER THE SAILING BEYOND. WE CAME A LONG WAY TO GET TO THIS HIGH CLASS SHIPYARD. SO CAN WE FIX GOING MERRY WITH 100 MILLIONI" Usopp bows his head, replying, "I'M SO SORRY..."

Luffy grins widely in close-up and announces, "I'VE DECIDED TO CHANGE SHIP! GOING MERRY HELPED US A LOT, BUT ITS SAILING DAYS WILL END RIGHT HERE." The crew reacts with shock. Nami sweats and questions, "MOST OF THE 2ND-HAND SHIPS THAT WE CAN BUY WITH 100 MILLION ARE BIGGER THAN OURS." Luffy continues, "LET'S TALK ABOUT WHICH SHIP TO BUY." Franky stares in stunned silence with question marks above his head. In the next panel Franky erupts, eyes bulging, "BECAUSE I LOST THE 200 MILLION!I WE JUST DON'T HAVE ENOUGH MONEY, RIGHTI DO WE NOT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO REPAIR THE SHIP ANYMORE... DON'T JOKE AROUND...!! IT'S NOT FUNNY AT ALL!!" Usopp sits on the floor looking up in alarm as the argument intensifies.

Usopp yells desperately, "I DON'T!! IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MONEY!! THEN WHY DO YOU SAY SUCH NONSENSE LIKE CHANGING SHIP!I!" Franky roars back, "THEN WHAT IS IT!I TELL ME! DON'T WORRY ABOUT HURTING MY FEELINGS!!" Luffy tries to intervene, "NO, THAT'S NOT IT!! SINCE THE WORLD-CLASS SHIPYARD PROBABLY CHARGES WORLD-CLASS PRICES..." The shouting continues until Nami steps in, "USOPP, YOU SHOULDN'T DO ANY INTENSE MOVEMENT WITH YOUR CURRENT CONDITION!! YOU SHOULD CALM DOWN INSTEAD OF YELLING!!" Sanji adds, "WE ONLY DECIDED ON THAT BECAUSE WE HAVE NO OTHER CHOICE!" Franky bellows, "CALM!I HOW CAN I BE CALM AFTER HEARING SUCH STUPID THINGS!!I" Luffy shouts, "STOP YELLING, YOU TWO. SIT DOWN AND TALK CALMLY." The tension peaks as Usopp leaps onto a table, arms spread, crying, "GOING TO DIE!!!" while Franky lunges forward and someone murmurs, "MERRY IS..."

Franky's face fills the frame, eyes wide and furious. Nami watches with concern, dots above her head. Luffy's intense close-up shows gritted teeth and sweat. In the wider view Nami states, "I WOULD NEVER MAKE THAT DECISION OTHERWISE!" while Luffy adds, "NO ONE CAN FIX IT NO MATTER WHAT." Usopp remains seated on the table as the crew stands around him. Franky, now unmasked on the side, stares in disbelief. Sanji stands with arms crossed, saying, "YEAH... BUT NOW IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE IT SINKS!!" Zoro looks on seriously while Franky clutches his head, impact lines and "KRAK!!" "LBBB!!" effects bursting around him as the argument reaches its breaking point.

Franky, bandaged and wearing his goggles and mask, stares forward with a tense expression. "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT... LUFFYI" he asks, followed by a quiet "......" Luffy leans in close, sweat flying, eyes wide with fury. "THE SHIP-MECHANIC GUY SAID WE WON'T GET TO THE NEXT ISLAND WITH THIS SHIP NO MATTER WHAT!!! I'M NOT KIDDING. IT'S THE TRUTH!" Usopp erupts in the large lower panel, arms thrown wide, tears streaming. "JUST BECAUSE A FEW CARPENTERS SAY IT CAN'T BE SAVED, IT'S GOING TO DIEI IT CAME ALL THIS WAY WITH US... BE IT GIANT WAVES OR DEADLY SEA-BATTLE THE SHIP IS A FRIEND THAT CAME THROUGH IT ALL WITH US!!!" On the right, a calm voice questions, "DO YOU ALWAYS LISTEN TO STRANGERS AND TRUST EVERYTHING THEY SAYI" Another replies, "AH... HE SAID YOU CAN'T GET TO THE NEXT ISLAND..." Someone inside the room gasps, "WHAT!I" while a close-up shows a gloved hand trembling with motion lines and "......"

Usopp's voice booms across the sky above the Going Merry. "LEAVE IT HERE TO DIE!!!" A small voice from the side stammers, "YET YOU'RE GOING TO..." Chopper's head pops up with a shocked "!!I" Below, Luffy charges forward on the deck as Usopp's back faces the crew. "LUFFY!!!" someone cries. Usopp declares, "THIS SHIP IS JUST A TOOL TO YOU, ISN'T ITI" Franky reacts with wide eyes and "......" Inside the ship, Franky glares and growls, "USOPP..." Nami watches with concern while Sanji stands silently. Usopp continues, "......" as Chopper pleads, "USOPP, STOP! YOU NEED TO REST!" and coughs, "COUGH......!"

Luffy sits on an upper beam inside the ship, back to the room. "THERE IS NO CARPENTER ON THIS SHIP," he states flatly. Someone below retorts, "WHAT WOULD YOU KNOW!I" Luffy turns with a hard stare. "THAT IS WHY WE NEED THEM TO TAKE A LOOK FOR US!!" Usopp, bandaged and furious, lunges forward with a wrench. "IT'S DECIDED THEN. EVERYONE, GIVE ME A HAND! FIRST, WE'LL BUY WOOD FROM THE SHIPYARD. TIME TO GET BUSY!!" He shouts, "STOP, USOPP!!" while Franky yells, "BIG DEAL! WE DON'T NEED THEM!! I'LL FIX IT LIKE I ALWAYS HAVE!" Luffy's face fills the bottom panel, veins bulging. "USOPP!!! YOU'RE NOT A CARPENTER," he roars.

Usopp snaps back, "WE'LL FIX OUR OWN SHIP!!" Sanji glares and mutters, "......" while Nami shouts, "THEY'RE JUST BULL-SHITTING US. I DON'T BELIEVE THEM!" Luffy yells from the side, "YEAH, BUT SO WHAT!I AND SO WHAT IF THEY ARE!I IT'S NOT THEIR SHIP! THEY DON'T GIVE A DAMN!!" Nami turns sharply, "HEY, LUFFY!" Usopp's massive close-up dominates the next spread. "ARE YOU ALL IDIOTS!!I DO YOU LISTEN TO THOSE CARPENTERS LIKE DOGS!I I'LL NEVER GIVE UP THIS SHIP!!" Luffy grabs him by the collar in a violent clash, shouting, "STOP BLUFFING, DAMN BRAT!! DON'T SAY 'I'VE DECIDED' LIKE YOU'RE A REAL CAPTAIN!!!" The narration box reads, "THE STRAW-HATS I KNOW WOULDN'T GIVE IN TO A MARKETING SCHEME! THEY WOULD BELIEVE IN GOING MERRY'S STRENGTH AND FORTITUDE!!" while impact lines and "......!!!" fill the air.

Luffy reels from a powerful blow as a voice declares, "I'VE MISJUDGED YOU, LUFFY!!!" Luffy glares fiercely and shouts, "I WON'T CHANGE IT NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY!! I HAVE MADE MY DECISION!" Usopp grabs Luffy while Nami tries to intervene, yelling "SHUT UP, NAMI!" and "STOP, USOPP!! LUFFY DIDN'T..." Zoro steps in angrily, "CALM DOWN!! STOP YELLING AT EACH OTHER!!" Usopp retorts, "BULL SHIT! I WON'T ALLOW THAT!!" as another crew member insists, "WE'RE CHANGING SHIP, AND WE'RE GOING TO SAY GOODBYE TO GOING MERRY RIGHT HERE!!" The argument rages inside the ship's interior with tense expressions and clenched fists visible on all sides.

The crew continues shouting across the room. Someone accuses, "YOU PROBABLY WANTED A SHIP SINCE THE START! YOU'RE JUST TOO CARELESS ABOUT LEAVING GOING MERRY!!" Another counters, "THEY'RE THE SAME!! GOING MERRY IS ALIVE!!" Usopp yells, "THAT'S STUPID! SHIPS AND PEOPLE ARE TWO DIFFERENT THINGS!!" Luffy stands firm, "LISTEN, LUFFY!! NOT EVERYONE CAN RUTHLESSLY MOVE FORWARD IN COLD BLOOD LIKE YOU!! I CAN'T LEAVE BEHIND A WOUNDED COMRADE AND I WON'T!!!" Sanji warns, "IF YOU CARE, YOU WON'T WANT TO CHANGE SHIP!!! YOU'RE NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO CARES ABOUT MERRY!!" Luffy snaps back, "DON'T TALK LIKE YOU KNOW EVERYTHING, PUNK!!!" The fight escalates as Luffy lunges forward, "FINE!! IF YOU DON'T LIKE MY DECISION, THEN JUST LEAVE..." while grappling with Usopp amid flying impact effects.

Luffy is sent flying backward with a massive impact, "IDIOT!!" Sanji shouts. Usopp yells, "CALM DOWN!! WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!! LUFFY, WHAT ARE YOU THINKING!I" Sanji stands over the fallen Luffy with a cold stare as Nami gasps, "SANJI!! AH!!" Zoro reacts in shock, "WHAT DID YOU SAY!I" Luffy looks up from the floor, "SINCE THAT'S WHAT YOU REALLY FEEL!" Sanji replies quietly, "NO. THAT'S FINE, LUFFY!! SORRY. I DIDN'T MEAN... AH..." The room falls into tense silence with debris and broken furniture scattered around.

Usopp stands facing the crew, "USOPP! YOU'RE NOT SERIOUS!" He answers quietly, "NO... I AM. I'VE... I THOUGHT ABOUT IT..." A silhouetted figure declares, "LEAVING BEHIND THE CREWMATES THAT ARE USELESS TO YOU ONE BY ONE, SO YOU CAN KEEP MOVING FORWARD!! IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE THIS SHIP BEHIND, THEN LEAVE ME BEHIND, TOO!!" Usopp continues, "IN THE FUTURE, I WILL PROBABLY GET YOU INTO EVEN MORE TROUBLES... AS OF TODAY, I AM NOTHING MORE THAN A BAD BAGGAGE BOY WHO CAN'T HOLD ON TO CASH... THERE'S NO DOUBT THAT YOU DON'T WANT A USELESS CREW MEMBER LIKE ME... I KNEW... THAT I WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO CATCH UP TO ANY OF YOU...!!!" The crew stands in stunned silence as Luffy listens with a serious expression. The final panel shows the group together with the line, "LUFFY, YOUR GOAL IS TO BECOME THE PIRATE KING... BUT I DON'T NECESSARILY WANT TO GO THAT FAR..."

Luffy leans forward with a serious expression, saying, "WE'RE FRIENDS, AREN'T WEI THE FATE THAT BROUGHT US TOGETHER IS ONLY SO STRONG..." Zoro stands nearby with a stern look. Usopp, visibly distressed and sweating, replies from inside a structure, "I ONLY WENT BECAUSE YOU INVITED ME..." Someone mutters, "JUST SHUT UP AND GET ON BOARD..." Usopp then walks away as Luffy calls out, "HEY, USOPP! WHERE ARE YOU GOING!I" Usopp turns back with a determined yet sad face and declares, "SINCE WE DON'T HAVE THE SAME GOALS, WE SHOULD GO OUR SEPARATE WAYS!!" The Straw Hat Jolly Roger flutters as Usopp states, "I... I GO WHERE I WANT TO GO. QUIT." Luffy reacts with shock, "!!!I"

Usopp walks away into the distance while Luffy, Zoro, and Nami shout after him. Zoro yells, "HEY! COME BACK!!" Nami cries, "LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS!!" Usopp screams back with tears, "USOPP!!! AAAH!! DON'T LEAVE US," as Nami says, "NO..." Luffy, looking down with a pained expression, says, "I CAN'T GO WITH YOU ANY MORE... I WON'T CAUSE YOU TROUBLE ANYMORE..." In a later scene, Luffy stands angrily and shouts, "MONKEY D LUFFY!! IF I WIN, I'M TAKING GOING MERRY!!" Usopp replies from the ship, "SO FIGHT ME. BUT THE SHIP BELONGS TO THE CAPTAIN..."

Luffy stands on the shore facing the Going Merry and roars with intense determination, "I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL!!!!" The massive declaration fills the sky with impact lines. Usopp stares back in shock from the foreground, eyes wide and sweat flying. The page ends with the One Piece logo and chapter number 331.
