Nami questions, "Did you say, 'Noland the LiarI'" Sanji answers, "Did I never say so beforeI" The group discusses further: "It's labelled as a fairy-tale, but the Noland character of this story was actually a real-life person, or so I've heard." "This is a famous story in North Blue." "No, I was only raised in East Blue, but whatever." Chopper protests, "Chopper, stop making so much noise! What're you even doing anyways!I" Usopp states, "First I've heard. I thought you were from East Blue."

By the time the king arrived at the island, he only had 100 soldiers remaining." Noland is executed for lying. His final words before death: "That's it! The mountains of gold must have sunk into the sea!" The narration concludes: "Nobody believed in Noland anymore. Even to the very moment of his death, Noland could not stop lying. A spiky-haired man with a scar grins and says, "Now that's a name I heard a lot from my childhood. There ain't a single person from North Blue who doesn't know of Noland the Liar." On a sunny beach, Luffy sits alone on a rock with his hat pulled low, bubbles rising from the water as he thinks, "And so the liar. Very pitifully. Met his end... Without even becoming. A brave warrior of the seas..." Suddenly a masked figure with a cannon-like weapon lunges at Nami, who spins around in surprise. The attacker yells "AGHHHHH! WHAT'RE YOU LOOKIN' AT ME FOR!I" while firing, the impact sending Luffy flying backward with a loud "SHUT..." Nami reacts in shock as Luffy plummets off the cliff into the ocean below.
