Whitebeard begins moving again despite the wound from Squardo. The pirates shout, "Whitebeard is making his move!!!" and "Clear a path for him!!!" His men call, "Follow the boss!!!" and rage that Squardo was tricked by the Marines and was stupid to stab him. A Marine officer watches tensely, while Whitebeard's allies yell, "You won't get away with this, Marines!!!"
Squardo collapses in despair after realizing he was deceived. He holds his head and says, "What... what have I done...!? I'm sorry, boss...!! I'm sorry, Ace...!!" He cries, "I betrayed him...!!!" Whitebeard tells him, "Stop crying and make it up to him...!!" Meanwhile Marines worry, "Why isn't the siege wall up yet!!?" and a report answers, "Sorry!! The ice is thicker than we thought!!" Ace and other allies watch grimly.

Luffy keeps charging and shouts that Ace comes first, even though Whitebeard has already been stabbed. Jinbe and Ivankov see that the enemies have all ascended to the platform; Ivankov says, "Hmm...!! I've got a bad feeling about this..." Jinbe answers, "But the boss made his move!! It's not the time to think about it anymore." John Giant blocks Whitebeard's path, declaring, "I won't let you reach the platform, Whitebeard Pirates!!!" and the pirates recognize him as John Giant.

John Giant swings his huge blade at Whitebeard and says, "You're in my way...!! I won't let you pass!!" Whitebeard stops him at close range. The clash sends shock through the ground and Whitebeard grips the air with his quake power. John Giant screams while Whitebeard prepares to hurl him aside, showing that even wounded, the old man can still overpower a giant Marine.

Whitebeard flips John Giant and twists the battlefield itself. Marines cry, "The ground is tilting!!!" and "This isn't an earthquake!!!" Another shouts, "Don't get close to the boss!!!" Fighters tumble as the surface bends under Whitebeard's Gura Gura power. Even John Giant loses his balance, and the surrounding Marines are thrown into confusion by the impossible tilt.

Buildings in the town crumble as the entire battlefield rolls under Whitebeard's power.

Kizaru asks, "Ohh... why don't you go melt it, Sakazuki...?" Aokiji says, "They can't because of your ice...!!!" and Akainu notes that they should hurry and raise the siege wall.

Luffy and Jinbe recover from the shock, and Jinbe says, "That was close!! I almost fell under the ice." Luffy asks whether Whitebeard can tell who is on his side, and Jinbe replies, "His crew expected it and got out of the way!!" The Marines keep firing and ordering, "Keep pushing forward, men!!!" Across the bay, rows of Marines advance under the banner of justice while pirates watch them and say, "How frightening..." and "They all look pretty angry..."

Doflamingo laughs at the sight as the pirates are forced to keep moving. The Whitebeard pirates say, "Run!! We have to shake them!!!" and "We can't back them up if we stay here!!" Luffy sees that the obstacles are gone and says, "I can get up there!!" He launches himself with "Byooon!" and "Baku Baku!" toward the upper wall, but the siege wall begins rising in front of him. Luffy stares in shock and asks, "What!? The wall!?" while someone below demands, "Why, you...!!"

The steel siege wall rises around the bay and the pirates realize they are surrounded. Marines shout, "Hey, what's going on!? Get them all up!!!" but one side cannot lift because Little Oars Jr.'s giant body is pinning it down. The pirates notice, "The cannons are all aimed at us!!" and that the Marines built the wall as a steel defense. Others yell, "Damn it!! It's not budging! The steel's too thick!!" Luffy looks at the fallen giant and says, "Oars... you...!!"

Akainu steps forward as the Marines prepare their finishing move. A Marine says, "This is our chance...!!" Another tells him, "It's not finished... but get started, Akainu!!!" Akainu answers with the attack name, "Meteor Volcano." Great fists of magma rain down over the bay as Marines order, "Melt the ice! Destroy their footing!!!" The attack smashes into the ice and battlefield, blasting pirates into the air as the siege closes in.
