At Marineford, the three admirals stand in Luffy's path while wreckage and smoke fill the battlefield. Luffy slams into Gear Second, calling "Gear" and "Second!!" as steam bursts from his body. Akainu, Aokiji, and Kizaru watch him calmly from ahead, and the Marines nearby realize that Straw Hat is trying to force his way through to Ace despite the full strength of Navy Headquarters standing before him.

Luffy rockets forward with a high-speed kick, but Kizaru calmly intercepts him. Kizaru says, "Too slow-" and kicks Luffy away in a flash of light. Luffy grunts as he is blasted backward through the smoke, unable to get past the admiral's speed. The failed charge shows that Gear Second alone is not enough to break through the three admirals guarding the route to the execution platform.

At the execution platform, Sengoku orders the execution to proceed, and the executioners raise their blades over Ace. Luffy screams, "Ace!!!" as he sees the swords descend. The battlefield shakes with chaos in the background, but the Marines are still moving forward with the execution. Ace remains chained and helpless on the platform as Luffy watches in horror from below.

Crocodile suddenly attacks the execution platform and interrupts Ace's execution. Sengoku turns and says, "You...!! I thought you would side with us because of your grudge against Whitebeard!!" Crocodile snarls that he will take care of the old man later, but first he wants to wipe the smiles from the Marines' faces. His sand strikes the executioners away, and Luffy, shocked by the rescue, calls, "Crocodile!!!"

Doflamingo attacks Crocodile, laughing and asking, "Are you ditching us for Whitebeard?" Crocodile snaps, "I'm not working with anybody..." and the two clash amid the battlefield. Doflamingo says, "You're making me a little jealous here... Fufufu!!" while Crocodile answers with silence and irritation. Their fight explodes through nearby Marines and pirates, briefly turning the Shichibukai against one another in the middle of the war.
Kuma appears in front of Ivankov. Ivankov shouts, "Why, you!!! Don't lay a hand on Luffy!!!" but Kuma says, "I owe your grandfather... but I've got no choice. You chose the path to your own death." Kuma attacks with his paw power, sending Ivankov crashing through the battlefield. Elsewhere Kizaru fires at Marco, and Marco is struck from the sky. The Marines identify him as "First squad leader, Marco!!!"

Marine reports reach Sengoku: "Three men slipped through!!! Some devil fruit users have crossed the wall!!!" Another reports that the pirates in the bay are doing something strange. The pirates rally around the hole in the siege wall, shouting, "Cross the waters toward Oars!!!" and "We've got to get to the platform no matter what!!!" Marines realize the pirates are desperate and order, "Pick your targets and fire!!!"
Another coated ship suddenly appears from the water inside the bay. Marines cry, "It can't be!! A ship!!! Another coated ship has appeared!!!" The officers realize it had been hidden on the sea floor the entire time, and one says, "I don't remember saying those were all of our ships...!!!" The pirates shout, "Everyone get on the ship!!!" and "Hang on!!!" as the paddle ship charges toward them, creating a new route through the encirclement.

The Marines try to sink the new ship, shouting, "Sink it, like the Moby Dick!!!" The pirates plead, "No!!! Not the ship!!! Shoot Oars!!!" But Little Oars Jr. lifts the ship with his enormous hands. Whitebeard says, "It's too late!!!" while the pirates aboard shout, "Here we go, guys!!!" Oars uses his last strength to raise the vessel over the wall, turning his body into the bridge and engine of the pirates' breakthrough.

Oars hurls the ship past the siege wall, and the pirates surge forward. Marines shout that they have gotten past the siege wall and that the pirates aimed for a gap the size of a mousehole and made it. The allied pirates cry, "Let's save Ace!!!" and "Take down Marine Headquarters!!!" Luffy, Ace, Whitebeard, Sengoku, and others react as Oars collapses again after completing the path he had promised for Ace.

The ship lands inside the wall, sending pirates tumbling into the plaza while Oars falls backward. Ace says, "Oars...!!" and the dying giant thinks, "A... Ace... We'll save..." Whitebeard orders his men to get down, calling them his sons, as the pirates pour forward. A Marine announces, "Whitebeard has reached the platform!!!" while Luffy watches Oars fall and understands the cost of the path he opened.

The pirates regroup inside Marineford and roar, "All right, men!!! Let's save Ace!!! Destroy the Marines!!!" Whitebeard stands at the center of the charge with his commanders and allies behind him. Sengoku looks grim, while Garp sits with his fist clenched and says, "We can't let this go unchallenged...!!" The page ends with the Whitebeard forces fully past the wall and ready to storm the execution platform.
