The Prisoners of Impel Down

Boa Hancock gives Luffy the key to Ace's handcuffs and says, "I believed all along that you would live and make it here. Take this... It is the key to your brother's handcuffs...!!" Luffy reacts, "Eh!?" then embraces her in gratitude, shouting, "Hancock~!! You really are the best!! Thanks!! I'm in your debt!!" Hancock blushes and thinks, "O... oh... oh, no, no, think nothing of it... Just go... Do what you must do, Luffy...!!" Luffy runs off with the key, yelling, "Thanks!!" while Hancock swoons, overwhelmed by his hug.

Marines are shocked that the Pirate Empress has been knocked down emotionally, shouting, "Impossible! The Pirate Empress was defeated!!?" and noting, "It was a sabaori!! A buchikamashi followed by a sabaori!!" with a note that sabaori and buchikamashi are sumo wrestling moves. Hancock, still blushing, wonders, "Is this what they call... marriage...!!?" and thinks that Luffy embraced her tightly. When a Marine tries to stop Luffy, shouting, "You're not getting away, Strawhat!!!" Hancock intercepts with "Perfume Femur!!!" and kicks him down, protecting Luffy's path.

Hancock stands between Smoker and Luffy, saying, "Insolent swine!! Get back, I say!!" and "I shall not permit you to pass!!" Marines comment that she has an unmatched way of looking down on people, even though she is actually looking up. Smoker warns, "I hope you're aware of what will happen to you if it gets out you've been obstructing the Marine forces!" Hancock answers, "No matter what I may do, I will be forgiven!" Luffy calls back that she was great and really helpful, then notices Kuma blocking the way and shouts, "Iva-chan!! Kuma is dead!!? What nonsense is this!? He's standing right in front of us!"

Luffy points at Kuma and says, "It's that bear guy again...!!" asking Ivankov if he knows him. Ivankov answers, "Somewhat, yes...!! However, there is something strange about him!!" Doflamingo laughs, "Fuffuffuffu!! Looks like the both of you knew ol' Kuma, eh? But this guy and the Kuma you knew are two different people." Ivankov demands to know what is going on, saying it is utterly impossible and that this is most certainly the user of the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, Kuma. Doflamingo reveals that a few days ago Government scientist Dr. Vegapunk performed the final restructuring of Kuma's body, finally turning him into a complete human weapon. He identifies him as the former Bartholomew Kuma.

Doflamingo explains Kuma's transformation: "This man volunteered of his own volition to take part in the government's research, becoming a test subject for its human weapon project!!" First came the hands, then the legs, while leaving the original man's consciousness intact, and over an extended period of time each piece of his body was restructured little by little. Ivankov refuses to believe it, shouting, "You are lying to me!!! Kuma detests the government!!! He would never do such a ridiculous thing as placing his own life in their hands!!!" Doflamingo says there is no use shouting even if he does not know what deal the government made with Kuma. Until mere days ago, Kuma still had his original personality, but now he has no memory of being human and is nothing more than a monster who fights as the government instructs.

Doflamingo declares, "He is Pacifista PX-0!!! So forget anything you once knew about him!!!" Kuma fires a paw-shaped blast at Ivankov, knocking him back in an explosion. Ivankov cries, "Kuma...!! What on earth has happened to you over the course of these last few years!?" Luffy remembers Kuma's final words on Sabaody: "We will not be seeing each other again... Farewell." He realizes, "Come to think of it, he said back then..." The page links Kuma's current empty violence to the mystery of why he scattered the Straw Hats.

Kuma continues firing, and Luffy warns the others, "He's dangerous, you guys!!! Watch out!!!" Kuma uses "Pad Hou!!!" while Ivankov, furious, counters with "Ganmen Spectrum!!!" translated as "Face Spectrum." Ivankov then unleashes "Galaxy Wink!!!" sending a barrage of wink shockwaves through the battlefield. He shouts, "Damn you, Kuma~!!!" while the blasts collide with Kuma's attacks and throw fighters back.

Ivankov refuses to hold back against Kuma any longer, shouting, "How dare you raise a hand against my cute candy boys!!! I'm not going to hold back against you any longer!!!" Onlookers gasp at his strength, and Ivankov says this is the first time in his whole life that someone has actually forgotten his face. He declares, "I don't care if you have lost your memory...!! If you say you have forgotten how terrifying I can be, then I will pound that knowledge right back into your body!!! Prepare yourself~!!!" His grief over Kuma turns into a full-force attack.

Luffy leaves Kuma to Ivankov and shouts, "You can leave this to me!! Everyone!!! Go with the Strawhat-boy and back him up!!!" The Impel Down escapees answer, "Roger!!!" and rush toward the execution platform, roaring, "To the execution platform~!!!" Luffy's group charges forward while Buggy, elsewhere on the battlefield, fumes, "Damn you, Strawhat!! We're not letting him outdo us, men!!! The time has come to execute Plan, let the world know the name of Captain Buggy!!!" His followers cheer, though one asks if he is sure about the strategy.

Crocodile continues cutting through the battlefield, and Marines cry, "Crocodile!!!" He says, "There's no end to them..." while Luffy's party still has a long way to go. A voice tells Luffy, "You're not coming near our old man!!" and Crocodile calmly warns, "I suggest you don't get in my way!!!" Luffy is thrown back by the chaos, and Whitebeard, watching from afar, says, "What a troublesome man. Causing a scene like this..." The path toward Ace remains crowded with enemies and rival pirates.

Diamond Jozu intercepts Crocodile with "Brilliant Punk!!!" slamming into him with a diamond-hard body. Crocodile reels and says, "What a fighter you are... that immense size, and that speed...!!" He recognizes him: "Diamond Joz!!" Jozu's attack knocks Crocodile off balance and halts his interference near Whitebeard. The page showcases Jozu's speed and power as another Whitebeard commander steps into the chaos to keep the battlefield under control.

Doflamingo lands near Crocodile and teases him: "Nice to see you made it, Croc-man!! How were the Impel Down bloodbaths?" Crocodile snaps, "Doflamingo...!!" Doflamingo says Crocodile was always a sweet-talker and asks what he says to joining forces, but Crocodile answers, "Don't stick your nose in where it isn't wanted. Do you want me to kill you?" Elsewhere pirates cheer Luffy on, shouting, "Go, Strawhat!!" Mihawk steps forward, apologizing in thought to Red Hair and saying, "But I will not be merciful with my power... Now, fate... let us see how you favor this shining star of the next generation. Will his life end here...? Or will you save it from my black blade...?" Luffy sees him and shouts, "Hawkeye!!!"
