Vander Decken IX screams in agony, "JUST THE TOP!!!" and "MY HEART IS BROKEN, SO I'VE SHAVED MY HEAD!!!" Nearby fish-men react with shock. In the next panel he clutches his head, ranting: "...AND I ONLY DECIDED TO MARRY HER FOR THE SAKE OF FULFILLING MY ANCESTOR'S DREAM... BUT NOW!!!" "I MEAN, SURE, TO BEGIN WITH, SHIRAHOSHI WAS STILL JUST A KID..." "DON'T GIVE ME EMPTY REASSURANCES, YOU IDIOTS!!!" "CAP'N DECKEN!! YOU'LL GET LUCKY SOMEDAY!!" A sign reads "FISHMAN DISTRICT, 'NOAH'". He continues: "I CAN TELL THAT, BECAUSE THE STUFF I THROW AT HER STILL KEEPS HURTLING OFF INTO THE DISTANCE! THAT STRAW HAT BRUTE IS PROTECTING HER!!!" "AND THE WORST THING IS, I STILL HAVEN'T EVEN MANAGED TO KILL HER!" "NOT MY TYPE", SHE SAID. THAT WAS WHEN I REALISED... TRULY, THIS WAS LOVE!...I KNOW IT!...DIDN'T FIT THE METRE. - BY VANDER DECKEN IX". A fish-man cries "AAA RGHHH HHH...!!!".

Vander Decken IX declares "BAHOH!" and "EVERY LAST ONE OF 'EM!!" while gripping his head. An ally asks "THAT'S RIGHT... I SHOULD JUST CRUSH THEM ALL IN ONE FELL SWOOP!" "WHAT WRONG CAP'NI!" "OH, HANG ON!" He suddenly brightens with "...OHHHH, I JUST HAD THE MOST BEEEEAA AAUUUTIFUL IDEA!!!" "BAHO HOHOHO HOHOH!!!" The view shifts to Fish-Man Island's underwater landscape with Gyovalle Hills. He concludes "...WERE ENOUGH TO ANNIHILATE... THE SEA MONSTERS ALONE... SO IN THE END..." A sign notes "FISHMAN ISLAND, GYOVALLE HILLS".

Chaos erupts as the Neptune Army arrives. A massive sword stands embedded in the ground amid rubble and fallen soldiers. A speech bubble cries "MINISTER OF THE RIGHT!! MINISTER OF THE LEFT!!!" Another states "...THE WHOLE NEPTUNE ARMY...!!!" In the lower panels a fish-man yells "WE WERE SO CLOSE...!!!" while another exclaims "SO CLOSE...!!!" as a large figure is struck and sent flying amid debris and impact lines.

In a swirling flashback, Queen Otohime lies fallen as a top-hatted figure stands over the scene. A voice cries, "AT THIS YEAR'S REVERIE... YOUR WISHES WERE FINALLY GOING TO COME TRUE...!!!" Another shouts, "OHHH, QUEEN OTOHIME...!!!" A desperate voice asks, "HOW DID IT COME TO THIS...I!" The narration continues, "...IN JUST AN HOUR'S TIME... OUR BELOVED KING WILL BE MURDERED...!!!" Citizens plead, "AT THIS RATE... PLEASE, LEND US YOUR PROTECTION..." and "AHHH... PLEASE, LEND HIM YOUR PROTECTION...!!!" The scene shifts to the present outside the sealed gates of Gyoncorde Plaza. A crowd of fish-men and merfolk gathers, one yelling, "LET'S CLIMB UP TO ABOVE THE PLAZA! WE SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE INSIDE!!" Another reports, "I CAN HEAR THOSE PIRATES WHOOPING AND HOWLING INSIDE...!!!" A soldier addresses, "YOUR MAJESTY!!!" while others shout, "WE CAN'T GET IN...!!! THE ENTRANCE HAS BEEN SEALED!!" A sign reads "OUTSIDE GYONCORD PLAZA."

A massive kraken rampages through Gyoncorde Plaza, tentacles smashing buildings and scattering fish-men. A box reads "GYONCORD PLAZA - EXECUTION GROUND OF THE KING (ALSO THE PLACE WHERE QUEEN OTOHIME WAS ASSASSINATED)." Panicked voices yell, "IT'S THE KING!!" and "WHOOAA AAAA!! A KRAKENI!" In the foreground, Hody Jones lounges atop a tentacle, smirking as he flexes. Below, defeated soldiers lie broken, one groaning "RRRRRR GHHH..." while another gasps, "...MY SOLDIERS...!!" The plaza is filled with debris, smoke, and the giant sea creature's thrashing limbs.

Hody Jones and his New Fish-Man Pirates laugh uproariously. Hody jeers, "WHAT PATHETIC SOLDIERS!! AND THEY THOUGHT THEY COULD PROTECT THEIR COUNTRY!!!" while the crew howls "AHAHA HAHAHA HA!!!" A close-up shows Hody muttering "HODY..." Nearby, Ikaros Much and others react in panic as a soldier prepares dynamite. One cries, "MUHHH!! IF HE DOES THAT, I WILL BECOME DRIED SQUID-HIII!!" Another warns, "HE'S GONNA BLOW HIMSELF UP WITH DYNAMITE AND TAKE SOMEONE ELSE WITH HIM, BOKAN!!!" A voice shouts, "KYAKKYAH! WHEREI!" while another notes, "IT LOOKS LIKE THAT SOLDIER IS ABOUT TO TRY SOMETHING..."

A close-up shows a bleeding hand dripping as Hody glares coldly. The soldier yells, "HEY, THIS LOOKS PRETTY DANGEROUS!!!" while thinking, "...BEFORE THE PRINCES ARRIVE, I WILL BE SATISFIED...!!!!" and "...IF I CAN TAKE OUT EVEN ONE OF THESE FIENDS..." He activates his attack with a "FWOOOM" as water blasts forward. The technique is labeled "TN: 'FIRING WATER'" and the soldier shouts "UCHIMIZU." The powerful water shot streaks toward the pirates amid flying debris and impact lines.

A massive black shape erupts violently from the ground amid swirling clouds and debris, accompanied by the huge sound effect ガンオン!!!. The impact sends shockwaves and flying fragments across the plaza. In quick succession, smaller panels show the ground cracking, structures toppling, and a close-up of a wide-eyed fish-man face reacting with shock as the onomatopoeia ビシ and ジジジ fill the air. Below, a long-haired fish-man soldier stares upward in horror, sweat flying, and shouts, "WHAT IS THAT THING....I!! JUST HOW FAR IS IT GONNA KEEP ON GOING...I!I!" while the sound ガンオン ドゴーン!!! echoes. In the background, a large crowd of fish-men and merfolk gathers in panic near the plaza buildings, some pointing and fleeing as the mysterious object continues its rampage.

Explosions continue across the Western Coast-Mermaid Cove as the massive object smashes through coral formations and buildings, marked by loud SFX ガン!! ドゴーン!! and ボゴン!!. A wide view shows the destruction spreading under a rainbow. In the lower panels, several mermaids surface with a loud SPLOOSH!!, one of them crying out "AAHH HHH!!" as debris rains down. The mermaids stare upward in alarm at the ongoing chaos while the object barrels forward, leaving trails of smoke and shattered coral in its wake.

At Gyoncorde Plaza, a massive elephant-like fish-man looms over the scene while a chained figure lies on the ground. Narration and dialogue reveal: "...WAS JUST AN ORDINARY BRUTE FORCE ATTACK...!" and "...I THOUGHT 'UCHIMIZU'..." A group of fish-men soldiers and officers stand nearby; one addresses the seated, transformed captain, saying, "YOUR HAIR'S GONE WHITE, AND EVEN YOUR BODY HAS CHANGED, BUT... HOW DO YOU FEEL RIGHT NOW, CAPTAIN...I" Another adds, "ONLY MINUTES AGO HE WAS HALF-DYING FROM THE EFFECTS OF OVERDOSING ON ENERGY STEROIDS... AND NOW THIS-HII!" A close-up shows the captain's transformed face with bulging eyes and sharp teeth as he declares, "INCREDIBLE."

A giant sea monster crashes through the plaza structures with the massive sound effect ギシャアン!!!, sending soldiers flying. Voices cry out: "...WHY DID YOU NOT WAIT FOR OUR ARRIVAL...I!I!" "SOLDIERS....!!!" "IT'S THE PRINCES!!!" and "AHH..." The three princes—Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi—are spotted in the distance. One soldier shouts, "FUKABOSHI!!! RYUBOSHI!!! MAMBOSHI!!!" while another warns, "YOU MUST BE CAREFUL!! THE MONSTERS AND THE FISHMAN HAVE ALL BEEN DRUGGED....!!" The princes react with alarm: "OH, CRAA AAAAAAP!! IT'S THE PRINCE EEEES!!!" and "ARE WE REALLY GONNA BE OKAYI!!!" A soldier adds, "YOU JUST WAIT RIGHT THERE, FATHER...!!!!" as the chaos intensifies around the chained sea beasts.

Narration explains that by offering signatures in the name of peace, the people clench their teeth and grasp a brighter future. A voice declares, "YOUR HIGH-NESS!!" Multiple technique names ring out: "MERFOLK ARMS-MANSHIP!", "KOUIN RYUUSUISOU!!!", "SHICCHIN BANPOU!!!", and "RYUUGUU RAUMAN!!!". The narration continues, "TO CLENCH THEIR TEETH AND MAKE AN EFFORT TO GRASP A BRIGHTER FUTURE..." and questions why the gentle yet powerful resolve cannot be understood. In the large panel, Hody Jones roars amid massive sea creatures while smaller fighters including Neptune and allies strike with spears. Hody shouts, "WHY DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND, HODY JONESI!!!" and "YOU AND YOUR ACCOMPLICES ARE WEAKER THAN ANY CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY!!!" Another voice states, "TO ALLOW EVEN THE DEATH OF OUR HERO AND OUR QUEEN AT THE HUMANS' HANDS TO BE WASHED AWAY IN THE RIVER OF TIME..."

The massive sea creatures surge forward in a chaotic assault. A huge speech bubble declares, "WE WILL NOT ALLOW IT!!!!" Smaller panels show the fighters being overwhelmed as one voice yells, "YOU FOOLS WHO KNOW NOTHING BUT REVENGE AND HATRED..." and continues, "...WILL NOT TAKE THE KING'S HEAD! NOR THE CITIZENS' HOMES!!!" and "AND YOU WILL CERTAINLY NOT TAKE THIS KINGDOM!!!" A colossal impact SFX "ドドーン!!" erupts as the giant fish-like beast crashes through the attackers, scattering debris and bodies.

Close-up faces of the princes and allies shout warnings: "IF YOU PREVAIL, THEN OUR PEOPLE WILL LOSE ALL CHANCE OF PEACE WITH THE HUMANS FOR CENTURIES TO COME!!" and "WE WILL MAKE YOU TASTE DEFEAT!! AND FORGE A FUTURE OF HARMONY WITH HUMANITY!!!" Below, the defeated sea monsters lie scattered as onlookers react with shock: "TH... THEY DEFEATED ALL THE SEA MONSTERS!!!" A stern fish-man retorts, "PRATTLE ALL YOU LIKE BUT IN THE END, THIS COUNTRY..." while the crowd cheers, "THAT'S THE PRINCES OF OUR KINGDOM FOR YOU!!!" and "THEY REALLY ARE STRONG!!!" with SFX "うおおお" and "おおお".

Hody Jones and his officers grimace in pain as an impact SFX "ガバァッ!!!" lands. A voice proclaims, "...BELONGS ONLY TO THE VICTORS!" Another massive strike SFX "ゴォッ!!!" follows as a long-haired warrior clashes with a striped-hatted fighter who screams "HAAA AAAHH HHH!!!" Shirahoshi cries out, "PLEASE, BE SAFE...!" while Megalo carries her, with voices calling "FATHER...!!!" "RRUOH HHH!!!" and "YOU MUST HURRY, MEGALO!!!" A defiant shout answers, "WORRY NOT!! WE WILL PREVAIL!!!" as the group races through the plaza with large SFX "ドドーン!!" trailing behind.
