A fierce samurai with a scar shouts RAAAAAGGGHHH! while a crowd of armored samurai raise their weapons. The close-up of the scarred samurai declares WHICH MEANS THAT WE MUST BE AN IRON FORCE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS! He continues AH, THE FEARLESS SAMURAI OF WANO SURE ARE A SIGHT TO BEHOLD... A hooded figure notes IT'S ON EVERYONE'S LIPS. IN THE WAKE OF THE PASSING OF SUKIYAKI KOZUKI, NOT ODEN, BUT YASUIE WILL RISE AS SHOGUN! A cloaked man with an afro states I WAS DRIVEN OUT OF THE CASTLE. MY BLOOD MEANS NAUGHT NOW. A horned figure growls THIS ISN'T THE TIME FOR YOU TO BE LOST IN ADMIRATION, ODEN! HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO WALLOW IN SELF-PITYI DESPITE IT ALL, YOU ARE STILL THE SON OF THE SHOGUN!

The scarred samurai continues LORD SUKIYAKI'S DISOWNMENT IS BUT STRICTNESS BORN OF LOVE! SHOW HIM YOUR TRUE WORTH! YOURS ARE THE SHOULDERS UPON WHICH THE FUTURE OF THE KOZUKI CLAN WILL ONE DAY REST! He strikes the horned figure, who cries OWWW! and YOU IMBECILE! The horned figure protests THAT HURT, DAMN IT! QUIT PUNCHING ME ALREADY! The scarred samurai insists ONCE YOU'VE PROVED YOURSELF A WARRIOR! SILENCE! YOU WILL ONLY BE ALLOWED TO PRATE ON WHY WON'T THIS COUNTRY LET MEI I WANT TO SAIL THE SEAS! MORE THAN ALL THAT, YASU, I... A small figure adds ISOLATIONISM IS SO TERRIBLY STIFLING! The scarred samurai looms over the horned figure, declaring NOBODY. YET. YOU'RE STILL A TWO-BIT PIP-SQUEAK! The horned figure roars DO YOU KNOW WHO THE HELL I AMI! A crowd of townspeople cheers LORD YASUIE! I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE STILL SAFE! LORD YASUIE! I WAS BORN IN HAKUMAI!

In Rasetzu Town jailhouse, townsfolk discuss the captured man. "Yeah, he showed up a bit before midnight, so he's actually the eleven-thirty boy. HuhI! Are you seriousI! I knew the timings of the crime were a bit odd..." Another asks, "Then why did you stealI" The man replies, "I'm no hero! My bad for lying!" The scene shifts to the Flower Capital where Yasuie Shimotsuki is paraded on a cross. Narration reveals, "And makes his living as a jester! The former daimyo of Hakumai!" Crowds cry "Lord Yasuie!" as signs label the site. A voice shouts, "How he has fallen! He lives in Ebisu town." Yasuie laughs wildly, "わあああああ!!" An official declares, "This man, just last night, committed robbery in this town!" A close-up shows a stern figure noting the crowds have turned to Komurasaki's funeral. Yasuie grins, "That was a lie! I knew I was going to die anyway, so I thought I'd get myself a bit of fame on my way out!" The midnight boy is sentenced to die alongside the courtesan for past rebellions against Orochi.

The crowd reacts in shock. "Than we could have imagined! This man... it seems he's far more of a bigshot! The townspeople of Ebisu have made their way into the Flower Capital! Drake, sir!" A figure with a club warns, "Everyone..." At the capital entrance, guards block the Ebisu group: "Stop, you paupers! Don't you dare kill him! Let us see Tonoyasu! Oi! You louts! You can't just enter the capital whenever you please! Stop! Return home!" The Ebisu people push forward desperately. Yasuie, bound, cries out, "If you go, who'll support all of us! Yasu! You can't die on us!" His allies plead amid the chaos as the procession moves deeper into the capital.

Orochi's men discuss the broadcast execution. "Wahahaha! Because the illustrious shogun is an utter fool! Might just go south. Lord Orochi's decision to make an example of this execution by broadcasting it. Watch out for riots." A child stares in surprise. Prisoners behind bars shout, "All ye people! Now, then! Oi, you bastard! I see clearly the pain his subordinates are in!" A massive splash panel reveals the Flower Capital vista with Yasuie crucified high above the cheering and shocked masses. Orochi's voice booms, "At the splendor of your country, Wano! Look around you! At the beauty of the Flower Capital!"

Orochi continues his rant from the broadcast. "And the citizens of this land! They are our pride! These vistas have been protected by the work of generations of the Kozuki family." A subordinate panics, "Orochi! Kurozumi! That bastard. Hurry! He's started blathering! They do not belong to you, you fool! Neeighh!" Orochi's face fills the frame as he roars, "All you have done is sully them with the dirt of your greed! Do you hear me, OrochiI! These vast forests! The prairies! The rivers and the villages!"

A massive crowd fills the Flower Capital plaza beneath a towering scaffold. Explosive sound effects shake the air as two giant speech bubbles declare "A PEST!" and "YOU ARE NAUGHT BUT". In the lower panels, Yasuie stands before the furious mob, holding up a small picture-puzzle card marked with a flame crest. He announces, "THIS PICTURE PUZZLE CARD, WHICH HAS MADE QUITE THE ROUNDS OF LATE... AND NOW, I MUST APOLOGIZE TO ALL OF YOU FOR SOMETHING." The crowd erupts: "THERE'S NO TAKING BACK WHAT YOU'VE SAID!" "LORD YASUIE! PLEASE, NO MORE..." "CURSE YOU, YASUIE..." Yasuie throws his head back and roars with a manic grin, "I MADE THIS!" A narration box states, "THE KOZUKI NAME HAS BEEN DEAD FOR 20 YEARS! IT HAS NO FORCES TO CARRY OUT ANY SORT OF REVENGE. THINKING OF THE DISGRACE THEY'VE SUFFERED," while shocked onlookers react with "!!I" and "I MADE THIS!"

The revelation sends shockwaves through the plaza. Speech bubbles explode: "TWENTY YEARS AGO, AFTER ODEN DIED," "WHAAAAA-I!" "IT WAS BUT A PRANK!" "WHAAAI!" Yasuie continues his confession while the scene flashes back twenty years. Orochi, seated among the remaining daimyo, asks, "WILL YOU SERVE THE KUROZUMI NAME, OR WILL YOU FIGHT USI" "US, THE FOUR REMAINING DAIMYO, A QUESTION." "OROCHI ASKED." Yasuie, sweating and furious, growls, "LORD YASUIE..." Another voice answers, "NO..." The narration reveals, "YOU, WHO WAS INDEBTED BEYOND MEASURE TO ODEN HIMSELF!" "WHO WOULD RECOGNIZE YOUI!" "YOU STOLE THE THRONE WITH A COWARDLY PLOT!" "HOW UTTERLY LAUGHABLE!"

Yasuie explains his actions amid the burning ruins of Wano. A caption reads, "BUT BEFORE THE MONSTER KAIDO, REVENGE WAS IMPOSSIBLE. WANO BURNED!" and "THE DAIMYO AND PEOPLE OF EVERY TOWN AND HAMLET TOOK UP ARMS WITHOUT A MOMENT'S HESITATION." Yasuie pleads, "I PLOTTED A CHILDISH LITTLE PLAN... PLEASE, FORGIVE ME!" "TO DIE IN SILENCE PROVED TOO BORING A PROSPECT!" He continues, "AGAINST MY WILL, I LIVED THROUGH IT ALL. I HID AWAY IN EBISU TOWN, BUT..." The crowd reacts in horror: "WHAAAAA-I! IT WAS ALL AN OVERSIGHT BY LORD OROCHII!" "HE PANICKED, AND THREW EVERYONE WITH THAT MOON TATTOO, ITSELF NOTHING MORE THAN A PASSING TREND, IN JAIL!" "BUT OROCHI'S COWARDICE WAS FAR MORE THAN I COULD HAVE IMAGINED." A "PING!" sound effect rings out as citizens are dragged away.

Orochi's massive palanquin storms through the streets as he screams, "DAMN AND BLAST YOU, YASUIE! I'LL PERFORATE YOUR INSIDES!" A subordinate reports, "LORD OROCHI! THERE'S RASETSU TOWN!" Yasuie, bound and defiant, faces Orochi directly. Orochi sneers, "OROCHI... ANY LAST WORDS, YASUIEI!" while cocking a gun with a "CHK-CHK" sound. Yasuie replies calmly, "THERE YOU ARE, OROCHI. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME, HASN'T ITI" Orochi laughs wildly, "WAHA HAHA! THAT'S ABOUT IT." Yasuie finishes, "WILL NEVER BE MORE THAN THE ODEN HE CANNOT STOMACH!" A final caption declares, "A MAN OF SMALL MEASURE" as Yasuie stands on the execution platform.

A young boy with a topknot shouts in fury, "YOUR PLANS ARE NOW CRYSTAL CLEAR!" Nearby panels show Kin'emon on a shark-like creature as voices call out, "YOU TOO, FUTURE SHOGUN MOMONOSUKE!" and "AND THE REST OF YOU NINE RED SHEATHS! I HOPE THAT WILL SUFFICE, KIN'EMON." The group responds, "DID IT... WE..." A scarred man with a topknot thanks the speaker, "THANK YOU," while another figure explains, "NOW, NO MATTER WHAT THAT COWARD OROCHI COMPLAINS ABOUT, HIS SOLDIERS WILL NOT LISTEN. THIS IS ABOUT AS MUCH AS I CAN DO WITH WHAT LIFE I HAVE LEFT! I'VE PROVIDED OUR COMRADES WITH A NEW RENDEZVOUS POINT. CAPTURED IN RASETSU." In the lower section a spiky-haired man yells, "HAS GONE UNCLAIMED!" as another warns, "STOP THAT! HE'LL HEAR YOU!" Yasuie, dressed in ornate robes and holding a staff, grimaces, "DAMN, THE SHOGUN'S COWARDICE REALLY HAS PUT US IN A PICKLE." A voice cries out, "YASUI!" while a child shouts, "DAD!"

A massive close-up reveals a grotesque, laughing face with wild hair and a crown-like headpiece as the figure bellows, "WILL NOW HEAD INTO THAT GOOD NIGHT! SINGING ALL THE WAY! NO! A FOOLISH JESTER OF EBISU TOWN COVER THE EYES OF YOUR CHILDREN! THE LAST DAIMYO OF THE KOZUKI SHOGUNS- AND A HIP-HIP!" Musical notes and onomatopoeia fill the panel. Smaller bubbles urge, "GO! GO TO ONIGASHIMA! AVENGE OUR DEAR SHOGUN!" A child cries, "DADDY!" while another voice declares, "I'LL AWAIT THE GOOD NEWS ON THE OTHER SIDE!" Yasuie is shown being carried away as the child screams, "YASUIEEEEE!"

Yasuie is crucified on a tall wooden post, bloodied and pierced by arrows, as large impact SFX explode around him. A voice pleads, "FORGIVE YOUR FATHER FOR LEAVING YOU BEHIND!" and "FORGIVE ME, O-TOKO!" Crowds below shout, "LORD YASUIE!" and "YASU!" while others yell, "IT'S THE LOWLIVES OF EBISU! DRIVE THEM OUT OF THE CAPITAL!" and "TONOYA-SHUUU!" Yasuie slumps as more impacts strike, "LORD YASUIE!" A young girl cries, "DADDYYYY!" and another voice screams, "DADDY! NO!" Yasuie falls limply amid debris and dust clouds.

The people of Ebisu Town react in horror and forced laughter as Yasuie's body hangs from the post. A child wails, "HE'S DEAD!" and "DAD'S..." while the crowd erupts in manic laughter, "AHAHAHAHAHA!" Narration explains, "ALL OF THEIR EXPRESSIONS EXCEPT THEIR SMILES HAVE BEEN STOLEN FROM THEM! THEY CANNOT BUT SMILE! THEIR SADNESS, THEIR PAIN... THEY CANNOT SHOW IT ON THEIR FACES! THE SMILING PEOPLE OF EBISU... STOP! THEY'RE CRYING!" A massive splash panel shows Yasuie's corpse on the ground as townsfolk laugh uncontrollably, "TONOYASU IS DEAD!" and "WAHAHAHA! YASUIE! HE'S DEAD!" A tearful girl cries, "THE SMILES! THE FRUITS!" while others react in shock, "UUUGH GHHH-! WHAT THE HELL IS SO FUNNYI!" and "A MAN JUST DIED!" The final panels show the chapter end card.
