On the Island of the Future Egghead Laboratory, a woman with short wavy hair and goggles on her head reacts with surprise. A speech bubble exclaims "UNCLE KIZARUI". A stern man with a hat and scar replies, "REASON 2 IS THAT EGGHEAD HAS THE COMBAT STRENGTH... THAT OHARA DIDN'T!!" She finishes, "REASON 1 BEING THAT THE DOCTOR TOOK THE FORBIDDEN RESEARCH OF OHARA... AND CONTINUED IT..."

Inside the lab, a voice states "ALL COMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT IN THE 'LABOPHASE' ARE DESTROYED." Sentomaru warns, "CALL ME IF ANYTHING COMES UP!" and "THOSE REASONS ARE ENOUGH FOR THEM TO BRING UNEXPECTED FORCES INTO ACTION." A furious man with a stitched face shouts, "YOU DON'T HAVE TIME TO HESITATE" and "LEARN FROM HISTORY AND THINK ABOUT WHAT THE NAVY COULD DO HERE!" Nearby, a sign reads "FABRIOPHASE FACTORY". A group of workers and machines gather as voices urge, "YOU HEARD THAT, RIGHTI" and "LET'S DO AS SIR SENTOMARU SAID! BEFORE THE NAVY GETS HERE! SET SAIL! WE ARE ESCAPING THIS ISLAND!!" Panic erupts with characters yelling "あぁぁぁ" as they flee.

In close-ups, Lilith reacts with "AH!" and "DAMN IT!" as a metallic sound "CLUNK CLANG" rings out. Usopp pleads, "IF YOU UNDO THIS RIGHT NOW, WE'LL FORGIVE YOU!"

Pythagoras is crushed under a massive impact, shouting in pain. S-Snake looms over the scene with a furious expression, demanding, "WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS, S-SNAKEI! ON WHOSE ORDERSI!" A colossal explosion erupts across the rocky terrain with the massive SFX "オゴゴォォォォ!!!" A lone figure steps forward through the smoke and debris, marked by "STEP" sounds. Below, a blonde girl with star-shaped pupils looks up in alarm and cries, "HEY! WAIT UP!!" while another voice shouts, "WAIT!!" Nearby, a man grimaces in pain, "UGH!!"

Inside the building, Nami and a small goggled companion react to chaos. Nami exclaims, "NOOO, THAT'S INCOMPREHENSIBLE!" while the small figure adds, "I'M SURE THAT THE SERAPHIM ARE ON A RAMPAGE." Another voice notes, "I'VE BEEN HEARING EXPLOSIONS AND SCREAMS!!" and hopes, "I HOPE EVERYONE'S OKAY!" A floor map labels "2F, BUILDING A." Zoro charges forward yelling, "ZORO!" as a voice says, "LEAVE IT UP TO ME! I'LL GO AFTER HIM!" Nearby allies note, "TAKING THEM OUT FIRST COULD SHAKE THE STRONGER ONES." "IN THIS CASE, THEY MAY BE YOUR FRIENDS." Below, Luffy stretches with "GUM... GUM..." while Usopp panics, "WAIT UP, RORONOA!" and "AND WHO'RE YOU CALLIN' USOPPI!" A massive furry figure with a helmet unleashes a barrage of punches, the impact exploding outward as it roars "HAWK GATLING". The attacker shouts "GO AWAY FLAMES" while striking a smaller opponent amid flames and debris. Below, a scarred man with wild hair yells desperately, "STRAWHAT, YOU IDIOT, STOP AND THINK!!" Beside him another voice warns, "WE WON'T BEAT IT BY JUST THROWING OUT ATTACKS LIKE THAT". The scene shifts to a quiet flashback: a person with long hair weeps silently. Narration boxes state "..BEGAN 3 MONTHS AGO", "BUT THIS STORY...", and "THIS WAS THE DAY BEFORE THE FAMOUS 'EGGHEAD INCIDENT'".

Three months earlier at Mary Geoise, a grand building stands under the clouds. A voice declares, "I HAVE SOMETHING I'D LIKE TO DISCUSS WITH THE HIGHER-UPS." Another states, "I'M SPEAKING FROM EGGHEAD ISLAND." A box notes "THE HOLY LAND MARY GEOISE, THREE MONTHS PRIOR". CP agents discuss that CP5 was dispatched but "NO EVIDENCE WAS FOUND". Dr. Vegapunk is shown investigating the Void Century while sleeping figures snore "ZZT...". A ship vanishes into clouds with the note "THE SHIP THAT LEFT EGGHEAD MYSTERIOUSLY DISAPPEARED". A voice pleads, "I'M SPEAKING FROM EGGHEAD. PLEASE CONNECT ME TO THE HIGHER-UPS." The final box reads "FOR FURTHER INVESTIGATION IN AN ATTEMPT TO UNRAVEL THE MYSTERY, CP7, AND CP8 FOLLOWED."

Cipher Pol Aegis Zero receives the mission and sets sail. The Five Elders decide to assassinate Dr. Vegapunk after learning he betrayed the government. In a grand hall the Elders converse with "A CERTAIN SOMEONE". With Navy reinforcements requested, one elder decides to send Kizaru as escort. Close-ups show serious faces including a man in a hat, a spiky-haired fighter, a dark-skinned man, a sunglasses-wearing figure, and an elderly bearded man. The narration concludes "WAR BECAME LOOMING ON THE HORIZON."

The unexpected arrival is the ship of "THE EMPEROR OF THE SEA, STRAW HAT LUFFY", who laughs "WAHA HAHA" and "GYAHA HAHA" from the deck. Crew reactions erupt: "NOT AGAIN!", "HYA HYA HYA", and "STRAW HAT'S THEREI!". A box states "WITH SUCH AN UNFORESEEN DEVELOPMENT, THE GOVERNMENT STEADILY GREW UNEASY." A massive flying object hovers over the sea as narration warns it "WOULD GIVE THE ENTIRE WORLD AN UNTHINKABLE SHOCK." The outcome of the incident on the following day remains unknown.

In a vast, damaged high-tech facility filled with pipes, barriers, and scattered debris, a massive round object crashes through the area amid heavy smoke and impact lines. A long-nosed spotted figure with a tall hat stands amid the chaos as voices shout. "WAS THIS ALL YOUR DOINGI!" someone yells. "HEY...!!" another calls out. "ANSWER ME!" demands a voice from the smoke. SFX echo with "KTOK KTOK" and "ZZT.." as the long-nosed figure reacts with shock, hair standing on end. "WHY ARE YOU..." the figure begins to ask before the round object smashes through more barriers with "GD-II~ GA-CHA...!" Background figures in hats watch from a window while small silhouettes flee the destruction.

The long-nosed spotted figure stares in horror as York, a blonde girl with goggles and pigtails wearing a dark outfit, clings to a spiky-haired person from behind with a wide grin. "WHY DO YOU WANT TO BE SUCH A SCUMMY HUMAN BEINGI!" the long-nosed figure shouts. "WHAT ARE YOU ON ABOUT, YORKI YOU'VE BEEN TO MARIE GEOISE IN THE PAST," comes the reply. Smaller panels show the spiky-haired person collapsed and the long-nosed figure reacting. York declares brightly, "HEY STELLA, IT'S ME! I'M GONNA BE A CELESTIAL DRAGON." The spiky-haired person gasps "!!I" as York continues, "WITH ONLY ONE OF US." The long-nosed figure's eyes widen in terror, thinking "WOULD BE BETTER OFF... THIS WORLD" while a caption states "HER DESIRE HAS BEEN REVEALED!!" The page ends with "ONE PIECE CH.1078 / END".
