He stands over the shattered floor and continues, "DO NOT DIE BECAUSE THEY WANT TO." Brulee sits nearby, and Luffy lies battered in front of her while Katakuri finishes, "DEATHS ARE, FOR THE MOST PART, UNWANTED OCCURRENCES." Luffy then realizes who the voice belongs to: "IT'S BRULEE!" Brulee cackles, "WTWTWT!" and cheers Katakuri on through the mirror: "THAT'S RIGHT! HURRY UP AND GET KILLED ALREADY, STRAW HAT!" Luffy mutters, "BRANCH..." as he sees how dangerous her presence is.

Brulee loudly glorifies her brother while Luffy tries to stay on his feet. She laughs, "WTWT! BROTHER DOGTOOTH, YOU SEE, ISN'T JUST YOUR AVERAGE UNDEFEATED FIGHTER!" and declares, "SINCE THE DAY HE WAS BORN, THIS MAN HAS NEVER ONCE FALLEN! HE'S SUPER-HUMAN!" Katakuri stands in silence as she continues, "ALWAYS GALLANT, CALM-HEADED, AND POWERFUL. EVERYTHING ABOUT HIM IS PERFECT. THAT'S THE KIND OF PERSON OUR BROTHER DOGTOOTH IS!" Katakuri cuts in with "ENOUGH, BRULEE," but she keeps going: "THE VERY MOMENT HE WAS BORN, HE GOT UP, SAT HIMSELF DOWN IN A CHAIR, AND FELL ASLEEP! AND FROM THAT LEGENDARY BEGINNING, NEVER ONCE HAS HE EVER LAID DOWN! HE LOOKS DOWN ON THE GROUND ITSELF!" Luffy snaps, "SHUT UP ALREADY!" and "GET LOST!" but Brulee finishes, "HE'S THE GREATEST FRUIT THE CHARLOTTE FAMILY TREE HAS EVER PRODUCED! I'M SHOCKED THAT A LOW-LIFE LIKE YOU HAS THE GALL TO EVEN CHALLENGE HIM!"

Luffy stretches his arm toward Brulee's mirror, trying to shut down the source of the information leak, but Katakuri intercepts him instantly. Brulee screams, "EEEEK!" and cries, "BROTHER!" as Katakuri warns Luffy, "DON'T YOU DARE LAY YOUR HAND ON MY SISTER." His mochi catches Luffy's arm with a sharp "FWIP!" and hurls him across the Mirror World. Luffy crashes through the broken room with a painful "BUHH!" while Katakuri advances. The attack continues before Luffy can recover: Katakuri's hand swells into mochi around the trident, and the weapon comes forward with the shout "MOCHI!" At sea inside Big Mom's territory, Brulee's message reaches Big Mom and Perospero while they ride the living candy wave. Perospero asks, "ARE YOU SURE, BRULEE?!" and Brulee answers through the mirror, "YES! I HEARD THEIR VOICES!" Big Mom wonders, "THEIR SHIP IS STILL SAFE?!" while one of the homies asks with childish delight, "CAN WE PLAY THAT WAVE GAME AGAIN, MAMA?" and another adds, "CAN WE ALREADY? PLEASE?" Perospero protests that his candy monster already "CREATED A TSUNAMI AND SENT THEM TO THE DEPTHS!" but Big Mom says, "I DON'T KNOW HOW! I JUST KNOW THEY DID!" Brulee explains the conclusion: "THEY'RE ALIVE, AND TONIGHT, THEY'LL SHOW UP ON CACAO ISLAND!" and insists, "THAT'S WHAT THEY PROMISED STRAW HAT LUFFY! I'M SURE OF IT! THAT IS, WITHOUT KNOWING THAT THAT'S ALSO OUR FINAL DESTINATION!"

Perospero immediately redirects Big Mom's hunger toward the same place the Straw Hats intend to reach. He laughs "BU HA HA!" and calls out, "MAMA! YOUR PRECIOUS CAKE IS ON CACAO ISLAND!" Then he explains, "PUDDING'S MAKING THE CAKE ON CACAO... ONE WAY OR ANOTHER, THAT'S WHERE ALL THIS WILL COME TO A HEAD!" Big Mom catches the scent and roars "WEEED DIIII IINNNG," but Perospero realizes she is veering away from the right target and shouts, "WAIT A SECOND! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?! MAMA!" He tries to correct her: "WE CAN'T AFFORD TO GET SIDETRACKED! THAT'S NUTS ISLAND! THEIR SHIP DIDN'T GO THERE! THE CAKE WAS TAKEN TO CACAO ISLAND!" The scene then cuts back to Mirror Island, where Luffy and Katakuri's fight continues violently enough to make the area shake with "WOAGH!" and "GYAH!"

The Mirror World becomes a running battlefield. Luffy pants "HAA-" and keeps moving through broken stone and drifting mirrors while Katakuri pursues without giving him space to breathe. Katakuri swings and thrusts with Mole, the trident blurring through the panels with a sharp "FWING" as Luffy twists away at the last instant. Luffy is no longer trading clean blows; he is surviving a sequence of near-misses. He darts between rubble, ducks under the weapon, and throws himself clear as the spear scrapes past with "THUMP." I CAN'T GET ANY INFORMATION ON THE WHEREABOUTS OF THE STRAW HATS' SHIP! WHAT ARE THE SEA CUCUMBER TRANSMITTERS DOING?!" Nearby, Pekoms wails, "BIG BRO PEDROOOOO!" while another voice snaps, "SHUT UP ALREADY, PEKOMS! HOW LONG ARE YOU GONNA WAIL?!" A soldier insists their surveillance should be impossible to evade: "THERE'S ENOUGH IN OUR NETWORK THAT YOU'D PROBABLY HIT ONE IF YOU JUST CHUCKED A STONE INTO THE WATER AT RANDOM... THERE'S NO WAY THAT THEIR SHIP CAN PASS THROUGH THAT COMPLETELY UNDETECTED!" In memory and discussion, Pedro's words return: "THE STRAW HAT PIRATES WILL BE THE ONES TO ONE DAY LEAD THIS WORLD TO A NEW DAWN." Tamago admits, "EVEN I WAS A BIT TAKEN ABACK- AMOUR," while Pekoms mourns because Pedro was his captain and his mentor, and "chose to die by self-destruction."

The Charlotte forces begin to reassess the Straw Hats rather than dismiss them as lucky intruders. Tamago says, "I BELIEVE WE MAY HAVE SEVERELY UNDERESTIMATED STRAW HAT LUFFY-OISSANT!" Another remembers Pedro differently from the man who just died: "I THINK BACK TO PEDRO AS HE WAS 5 YEARS AGO. CRYING AND BEGGING TO BE SPARED!" and asks, "THAT MAN SAW FIT TO LAY DOWN HIS OWN LIFE TO LET THOSE PIRATES SET SAIL!" Someone brushes it off with "SO WHAT?!" and another says, "YEAH RIGHT. PIRATES ARE NO BIG DEAL." But the facts are piling up. One voice asks, "AN ACCIDENTAL OCCURRENCE? AND I ASSUME THE SEA CUCUMBERS ARE ACCIDENTALLY MISSING THEIR SHIP?" Another points at the damaged capital: "LOOK AT THE RUINS OF MAMA'S CASTLE STREWN AROUND YOU! CAN YOU STILL SAY THAT?!" Tamago concludes, "AT THE VERY LEAST, EVER SINCE THE STRAW HATS SHOWED, WE'VE HAD A LOT OF UNEXPECTED ACCIDENTS!" and someone asks the frightening question: "WHAT'RE YOU TRYING TO SAY? THAT THEY PLANNED ALL OF THIS FROM THE START?!"

Mont d'Or refuses to let Big Mom's reputation be damaged by uncertainty. He declares, "THE PROUD RULER SOON LOSES HIS CROWN!" and orders, "WE CANNOT AFFORD EVEN THE SMALLEST CHANCE OF MAMA'S NAME BEING BESMIRCHED. WE SHOULD DISPATCH POWERFUL SHIPS TO THE FURTHEST REACHES OF OUR TERRITORY!" Reports arrive at once. Someone asks, "DID HE END HIM?" and another says, "HE WAS CHASING BEGE, WASN'T HE..." A Den Den Mushi rings, "PRRRRRRR!" and a soldier announces, "LORD MONT D'OR! A CALL FROM LORD CUSTARD!" The news is bad: "NO... IT SEEMS THEY'VE LOST SIGHT OF HIS SHIP!" and then, "IT SEEMS THE SEA CUCUMBER TRANSMITTERS HAVE STOPPED RELAYING INFORMATION ON THEIR LOCATION, AND..." Mont d'Or erupts, "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!" before commanding, "INVESTIGATE THE SEA FLOOR! AT ONCE!" The answer comes back, "ROGER!"

Inside Big Mom's territory at sea, Bege's group speeds away aboard the Firetank Pirates' ship Nostra Castello. One lookout says, "THERE SHOULD BE MORE OF THEM COMING AFTER US!" and another realizes, "IT LOOKS LIKE THEIR SEA CUCUMBERS AREN'T REACTING TO OUR DEN DEN MUSHI!" Bege laughs, "BABABABA!" while someone admits, "I'VE NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING!" The advantage is too useful to waste, so Bege orders, "WE'RE GOING STRAIGHT TO CHIFFON! AS THE CROW FLIES!" and the crew answers, "ROGER!" The ship's destination is repeated with urgency: "HURRY! TO CACAO ISLAND!" Meanwhile another report comes in: "REPORTING IN FROM THE GERMA'S SHIP TORTO!" Mont d'Or asks, "BROTHER! WHAT'S THE SITUATION WITH THE GERMA?" and the answer is triumphant: "OUR TEN-THOUSAND-STRONG FORCE DECIMATED THEM! THEIR ENTIRE COUNTRY IS IN SHAMBLES!" Mont d'Or grins, "JUST WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR! BUT DON'T TELL ME..."

At the Germa Kingdom, the report continues over the ruins. Mont d'Or asks, "WHAT HAPPENED TO THE STRAW HATS?" and is told, "TO BE HONEST, WE ACCIDENTALLY LET THEM SET OFF!" The Germa forces are said to be fleeing: "THEY'RE FLEEING STRAIGHT WEST." The enemy adds, "WELL, THEY SHOULD BE DEALT WITH IN A MATTER OF TIME." On the main battlefield, Charlotte forces stand over piles of defeated Germa soldiers and ask, "YOU DIDN'T DESTROY THEIR CLONING SYSTEMS, DID YOU?" The answer is, "OF COURSE NOT! THOSE WERE WHAT WE WERE AFTER, RIGHT?" but one soldier notes, "HOWEVER, EVERYTHING ELSE IS BARELY RECOGNIZABLE!" Another laughs at the destruction: "WAHAHA! THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE! THOSE DAMN GERMA! THEY SHOULD CURSE THEIR STARS FOR HAVING RUN AFOUL OF US!" Judge, furious and bloodied, shouts from the side, "MOVE OUT! READY THE SHIPS!" as the chapter ends on the caption "ONE PIECE CH. 882 END."
