Someone asks, "Bon-chanI Who's thatI" The snail connects with wild laughter as a voice shouts, "HelloI! HelloI! Ha ha ha ha!! It's me!!" Sanji works the snail frantically, exclaiming "Hey!!" as the caller laughs hysterically, "Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!"

Luffy grabs the transponder snail in shock, yelling, "Oh!! Is that you, Straw HatI! You're so strong!! You surprised me!!" The caller laughs wildly. Sanji snaps, "Hey, is that you, SwanI! What do you wantI" The snail rings insistently. Luffy demands, "What do you wantI!" The caller replies, "If the Navy intercepts this transmission, I'll be in big trouble!! Just call me 'Mr. 2'." Chopper and others react with alarm. Luffy shouts, "You gotta be joking!!" The caller continues, "Aboard your ship! Cut the jokes, you silly clown!! Where are you nowI!" Sanji growls, "Why you dirty--!! Now don't be like that!!"

The caller laughs uproariously, "Ha ha ha!!...We were friends! I thought..." The crew reacts with surprise. Luffy raises his arms, declaring, "I knew he was a good guy!!" Usopp wonders, "Does that mean he's protecting the Merry from the NavyI" Sanji notes, "He's stuck here without a way off the island." WE'LL GIVE YOU 12 HOURS TO MAKE UP YOUR MIND." In a side panel, two men watch the exchange; one with a bandana mutters "VIVI..." A map panel shows the East Port with an arrow pointing to a small ship. "ONCE WE RECAPTURE OUR SHIP IN THE SANDORA RIVER... WE'LL MAKE A SHORT STOP AT THE EAST PORT AT EXACTLY 12 NOON TOMORROW! "THE PRINCESS IS SPEAKING!!" "HEY!!" A man named Koza is called out. Inside, a long-haired man sips tea calmly, thinking "I HOPE THE PEOPLE DON'T RIOT" with "HMM...". Nearby, a spiky-haired man with glasses smiles and says, "THE WHOLE TOWN CAN HEAR. THE LOUDSPEAKERS ARE AT FULL BLAST. VIVI IS GIVING HER SPEECH!! HURRY, IT'S BEGUN!!"

Vivi stands with a gentle smile, holding a small transponder snail as she recalls her departure. "I LEFT ALABASTA AND SET SAIL UPON THE VAST, DARK OCEAN," she narrates. The sea calms around her vessel. "...GENTLY ENVELOPING ME AND EASING MY CARES....WAS SOOTHING... AT TIMES THE SOUND OF THE OCEAN WAVES..." Strange sea creatures and dreamlike landscapes appear. "I SAW CREATURES I'D NEVER IMAGINED AND LANDSCAPES OUT OF A DREAM." In a crowded Alabasta street, men glare suspiciously. "...MOCKING ME AND PLAYING ON MY FEARS. AT OTHER TIMES IT WAS HARSH..."

Vivi continues her story with sparkling eyes. "IT DIDN'T RESIST THE TUGS OF THE TIDES, BUT SAILED AHEAD THROUGH THE ROUGHEST HEADWINDS. AND POINTING FORWARD, IT SAID..." Luffy grins excitedly on the deck. "THAT STRANGE LITTLE SHIP NEVER LOST ITS WAY EVEN IN THE DARK. IT WOULD DANCE ON THE GIANT WAVES." The Thousand Sunny braves a storm as the crew struggles at the rail. "DON'T YOU SEE THAT LIGHTI" a voice calls. Vivi clasps her hands. "BUT IN THE DARKNESS OF THE STORM, I ENCOUNTERED A LITTLE SHIP. IT GAVE ME A PUSH AND SAID..." She smiles warmly. "LOOK, THERE'S THE LIGHT."

Vivi smiles softly. "AND..." A clock ticks. "WHAT'S SHE TALKING ABOUTI IT'S THE UNTOLD STORY OF HER STRUGGLE. BUT FOR ME, THAT WAS THE TRUTH. IN TIME, HISTORIANS WILL SAY IT'S JUST A LEGEND." The ship approaches East Port, Tama-risk. "SPLASH..." Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper lean over the railing in shock. "IT'S PAST NOON ALREADY... LET'S GO. SHE'S NOT COMING. THAT WAS JUST SOMEBODY PRETENDING TO BE VIVI!! IT'S THE BROADCAST OF THE CEREMONY FROM ALUBARNA. VIVI'S VOICE. DID YOU HEAR THAT SPEECHI VIVI..."

On the deck, Luffy shouts orders. "GIVE IT UP, LUFFY. SHE CAN'T JUST LEAVE LIKE THAT. TAKE THE HELM! SET THE SAIL!!" Usopp panics. "OH NO!! THE NAVY'S COMING!! HOW MANY SHIPS ARE THEREI LET'S DROP ANCHOR AND GO LOOK FOR HER!! SHE'S GOTTA BE HERE!! VIVI'S COMING!!" A fake Vivi in a mask appears in Alubarna. "LET US SEE YOUR FACE, YOU PHONY!! OR RATHER, LORD IGARAM!! WHAT'S THE BIG IDEAI!" Igaram sweats. "RIGHT NOW, THE PRINCESS IS... WHERE'S THE PRINCESS SPEAKING FROMI! WHERE'S THE REAL PRINCESS VIVII!"

A small ship sails across the water toward a distant city as a large speech bubble erupts from the deck: "YOU GUYS!!" The vessel carries a bear-like figure at the helm and a small mouse-like creature waving excitedly. Below, on the shore, Vivi appears dramatically with arms raised, shouting "TA-DAH!!" beside the giant duck Karoo, who spreads his wings and cries "QUACK QUACK!!!" Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper react with wide-eyed shock and joy. Luffy yells "VIVII!!" while Usopp exclaims "KAROO!!!" as the group stares in disbelief at their long-lost friend.

The crew reacts with frantic energy. Chopper shouts "THE NAVY'S RIGHT ON OUR TAIL!!" while hearts appear around Sanji as he cries "VIVI!" Luffy yells "TURN THE SHIP AROUND!! HURRY!!" and insists "I TOLD YOU SHE'D COME!!" Vivi stands calmly nearby. In the distance the ship turns away as a voice from it says "...TO SAY GOOD-BYE!!" and "I'VE COME..." Vivi then speaks through a large microphone setup on the shore: "THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING!!" and "I CAN'T GO WITH YOU!!" Luffy reacts in shock, asking "WHAT DID SHE SAYI!" while Karoo stands beside her. Onlookers in the crowd question "WHATI! WHO'S SHE TALKING TOI"
