Usopp survives the moment Moria nearly crushes him, screaming, "Robin!! You saved me!! I was staring death in the face!!!" Oars stares at his own hand in confusion and asks, "Huh? Why can't I stretch anymore?" Robin stands wounded but composed after stopping Moria's shadow manipulation. Moria, caught in her sprouted hands, lets out strained sounds, "Gu... gu...!" and mutters, "O... oeeh, this hurts...!!" before forcing a laugh: "...!! Kishishi." Oars looms over the battlefield again, and Moria sneers from within the giant's belly, "Did you think this would stop me...? You are so dull..." The crew's brief success has only irritated him; his confidence makes it clear that stopping his hands once will not end the fight.

Moria turns his shadow into a swarm of black bats and launches "Brick Bat"!!! The creatures burst from the darkness with grinning faces and crash into Robin before she can fully react. She sees the attack coming with a startled "!?" but is hit hard, crying "Oof!!" as the bats slam through her defenses. Nami shouts, "Robin!!" and then again, "Robin!!" as Robin is battered in the ruins. Robin tries to answer with "Veinte Fleur, Calendula," blooming arms around herself like a protective flower, but the bats keep pounding in from every side. The page makes Moria's versatility clear: even when his real body is threatened, the shadow itself can become a ranged weapon that punishes Robin for trying to restrain him.

The Brick Bats overwhelm Robin's defense and drive her backward with another heavy "Oof!!!" The swarm wraps and batters her while the crew watches in alarm. Sanji yells, "What do you think you're doing to Robin!?" but the bats keep moving as if they are part of Moria's body. Oars, still under Moria's direction, looks on while the black shapes twist around Robin and then surge away. Sanji rushes forward with a furious "Hwah!!" but realizes something strange is happening: the shadow pulls back, crawling along the ground with a "Zuru zuru..." Moria laughs from the side, and Sanji understands the trick too late. "Did he switch with his shadow again...!!?" he asks, seeing that the real target is no longer where it seemed to be.

Robin faces the towering silhouette in front of her and realizes, "...!? Moria's shadow!?" The shadow swells into a clawed, monstrous double, looming over her while Moria's real body has shifted away. From a safer position, Moria coughs, "Oeh," then laughs, "Kishishi..." and says, "Kishishishi... So, you want a long range battle..." He calls Robin's method "your trick" and admits it "isn't bad!!" Robin refuses to be fooled by the body-shadow swap. She reasons that if the main body is defeated, the shadow will also be destroyed, and says, "... I can't be confused by the shadow...!!" With Oars in the background and Moria's shadow between them, she prepares another "Cuatro Mano" attack aimed at the real source.

Robin springs her trap. Arms appear around Moria's real body and she shouts, "Clutch"!!! Moria's eyes bulge as the hold snaps into place, and he screams, "Gugyaa-aaagh!!!" The crew erupts in relief. Usopp cheers, "Good going, Robin!!" and Chopper shouts, "We did it!!" But the victory is already unstable. Someone warns, "Hey, Robin!!" and another voice cries, "Watch out for the 'shadow' behind you!!" Robin turns with a startled "!?" The same shadow she tried to ignore has not vanished; it remains active even while the real body is caught. Moria has forced the fight into two fronts: hurt the body, and the shadow still attacks; fight the shadow, and the body can slip away.

Moria proves the point by switching places with his doppelman. The shadow stands tall behind Robin as Moria laughs, "Kishi-shishi..." and says, "That was close, but too bad. I can switch places with my doppelman at any time." The crew understands the danger at once. Nami asks, "Wha!? Why is Moria over here!?" and Usopp answers in panic, "He changed places!? Then the one over there is..." Moria explains, "That's right, right now, the person in Oz's stomach is my shadow, who was just here." He adds the rule that attacks on the joints will not work on a shadow user. Robin has no time to escape. Moria's real body rises behind her, and the panel closes on the awful certainty: "It's over..." Sanji cries out, "Robi..." as the blow descends.

Moria strikes Robin down and tears her shadow away. Zoro sees it happen and says, "He got her!!" while Sanji and Usopp shout, "Even Robin...!!" and "Uwaa, Robin!!" Moria holds Robin's limp body in one hand and her shadow in the other, laughing, "Kishishi... That makes three of you down." The crew realizes the consequence immediately: "Robin's shadow was taken!!!" Robin lies collapsed among the rubble as dawn draws closer, joining Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji among the shadowless. Sanji's fury ignites. His leg catches fire as he prepares "Diable" and then "Jambe"!!! He launches himself at Moria, trying to punish him before the Warlord can use Robin's shadow or escape again.

Sanji attacks Moria with a flaming kick and curses him: "Why, you shitty bastard!!! Give back Robin's shadow!!!" Moria calmly notes that he has no corpse ready for it: "Hmm... No corpses to put you in... Well, I'll just hold onto you for now..." Sanji comes in with "Extra Hachis"!!! but Moria answers with more "Brick Bat" shadows. The swarm crashes into Sanji and breaks his charge apart. Sanji reels, shouting, "Uwaa!!" and wonders, "Did he switch with his shadow again...!!?" Moria's shifting body and shadow make even a direct rage-fueled attack unreliable. Every time the crew thinks they have found him, he is already somewhere else, leaving a shadow weapon behind to counter them.

Moria returns control to Oars and the fight resets almost exactly where it began, only worse. Nami realizes the switch: "If they switched, then... Moria is... back in Oz's stomach!!" Moria laughs, "Kishishishi!!" and says, "And so... we're back where we started...!!! Sorry, Oz... I went out and had a little fun." Oars complains, "Why, you!! Master!! You said that I could take this fight!!" but Moria is already aiming him at Robin. "I'll finish off that woman!!" he declares. Oars begins "Gomu Gomu--!!!" and stretches for a "Bazooka"!!! Sanji screams, "Sanji!! Robin!! Get away!!!" then powers up again with "Diable" "Jambe"!!! The battlefield becomes a race between Oars's stretching fists and Sanji's desperate attempt to intercept them.

Sanji meets Oars's giant attack with a burning double kick: "Frittes" and "Assorties"!!! The impact slams into the stretched fists with a massive burst, and the battlefield shakes. Oars grunts, "Nuuu...!!!" while Sanji manages to deflect the attack, sending the enormous arms crashing off course. Usopp shouts, "Whoaa!!! He deflected it!!" The redirected force tears through the mansion instead, smashing the building with a violent "!!?" The crew survives the immediate blow, but the scale of the deflection shows the terrifying stakes: even when Sanji blocks the attack, the leftover force is enough to wreck Thriller Bark's architecture around them.

Sanji and Zoro stand battered but ready while Chopper calls from Oars's shoulder. He shouts, "Heeey, Sanji!! Zoro!!" and they answer in surprise, "!?" Chopper tells them, "Get Robin away while you can!!" and adds, "Leave it to us!!!" Sanji, still panting from the deflection, asks, "Chopper!? What are you doing there!?" Chopper explains that he has been looking for the reason Oars died five hundred years ago. If a villain like Oars did not die of old age, he says, then it was most likely wounds. Chopper has found the proof: Hogback repaired Oars well, but there are signs of severe frostbite around a joint. He points to the arm and says, "Go after this right arm!! It's not Oz's original arm!!!"

Chopper explains his deduction from Oars's ancient death. "I can't be sure, but 500 years ago, Oz probably froze to death!!!" he says. "Even this monster couldn't stand up to nature! He died wandering about a country of ice!!!" The thought that Oars died naked in freezing conditions makes both Sanji and Usopp shout, "Naked!!" and Usopp adds, "I don't want to lose to an idiot like that!!!" Chopper returns to the strategy. Zombies do not feel pain, but they still take damage, and old wounds are still building up. If they disable the damaged arm, Oars's attack power will be cut in half. Chopper urges everyone to concentrate on that point, and the crew shifts from wild survival to a targeted medical assault.

Oars notices Chopper on his shoulder and snaps, "What're you doing standing around on my shoulder, you midget human!?" He slaps at him, but Chopper evades. Sanji screams, "Uwaah!!" and Usopp shouts, "Chopper!!!" Oars thinks he has hit Chopper, muttering, "Huh?" but Chopper is already in his hand, having used his small size to slip through the gaps in Oars's fist. Oars is confused: "Huh!? In my hand." Chopper explains, "Since you're a zombie, you don't even know that you just hurt yourself with that punch!!" The gaps in Oars's fist are like caves to him, and Chopper prepares a Rumble Ball. He is using his small body and medical knowledge to turn Oars's own enormous hand into a trap.

Chopper launches the next phase of the plan from inside Oars's hand. He calls "Jumping Point"!! and springs away from the giant's grasp, then aims for the damaged area with "Arm Point"!! Sanji follows the movement and shouts, "Good job evading!! I'll lend you a hand, Chopper!!" Chopper answers, "Sanji!! Thanks!!" Sanji uses "Armee de l'Air" to kick him into position, and Chopper calls for Zoro: "Go!" Zoro joins with "Kokutei" - the cutting hoof strike - and Chopper drives the attack home with "Roseo Shot"!!! Their combined force crashes into Oars's weakened shoulder joint, exactly where Chopper identified the old damage. This is no longer scattered resistance; it is the crew executing a targeted plan against the one vulnerable part of the giant.

The attack lands directly on the damaged shoulder. Oars is knocked into the wall with an "Oh?" and the blow leaves a clear impact mark. Chopper watches and confirms, "It's definitely working!! Pain is the signal for the body to protect itself. Without that, there can't be strength at all!!" Oars, unable to understand the medical logic, growls, "Why, you!! No matter how many times you attack the same place, it'll never work!!!" But Sanji and Chopper know better. Usopp sees Oars gathering himself again and yells, "Hey!! This is bad, you two!! You've got to get away!!!" Oars winds up another "Gomu Gomu--!!!" attack, and Sanji mutters, "... Well, shoot..." as the huge fists begin to descend.

Oars unleashes a massive "Gatling"!!! His stretched fists rain down across the battlefield, pounding the area where Sanji and Chopper were fighting. The impact fills the page with crushing blows and flying rubble as the crew screams, "Sanji!!! Chopper!!!" The attack overwhelms the plan just as it starts to work. Someone cries, "That's another two!!! Everyone's going down...!!!" and another voice curses, "Dammit!!!" Moria laughs from inside Oars: "Kishishi-shi... Only three more!!!" He counts them coldly: "Fourth and fifth..." The meaning is brutal. Robin has already fallen, and now Sanji and Chopper have been caught by Oars's Gatling; Moria is reducing the Straw Hats one by one.
