A massive ship crashes violently into Fish-Man Island, its bow smashing through buildings as debris flies. Large onomatopoeia "ビォォォン!!" dominates the top. A voice exclaims, "IT LOOKS LIKE IT WAS ATTACKED BY DEEP-SEA CREATURES...!!" Another caption identifies it: "A TENRYUUBITO SHIPI!" Below, panicked fish-men and humans react. One shouts, "HURRY IT UP ALREADY!!!" while another yells, "...WHY ARE THERE TENRYUUBITO HERE IN THE DEPTHS...I!" A furious fish-man with sharp teeth roars, "YOU THERE!!! FISH!!! BRING ME MY MASK AT ONCE!!!" Nearby, someone mutters, "BLAST IT ALL...!!! THOSE WORTH-LESS FOOLS, DYING ONE AFTER ANOTHER...!!!" Sound effects like "ジュワァァ!!" and "ビョォォ..." punctuate the chaos as figures run and the damaged ship settles amid the wreckage.

A frantic World Noble named Saint Mjosgard thrashes on the floor, mask askew and eyes bulging, screaming at the top of his lungs. "HURRY UP AND BRING ME MY MASK!! SAVE MY LIFE, DO YOU HEAR MEI!" He clutches a pistol in one hand while his other arm flails. Narration labels him "WORLD NOBLE (TENRYUUBITO) Saint Myosgald." Nearby, a fish-man soldier and a blonde mermaid attendant stare in shock. Mjosgard continues to wail, "I AM DYING!! I REQUIRE TREATMENT!!!" and "A DOCTOR, YOU HEARI!!...*PANT*..." while the mermaid's eyes widen and the fish-man sweats. The noble's rant grows louder: "BRING A DOCTOR!! *PANT*... *PANT*..." A fish-man guard in the foreground snarls, "THAT LOWEST OF THE WORLD'S TRASH..." while another replies, "WE SHOULD KILL HIM." In the background a voice mutters, "THEY'RE HERE WITH US, BUT... I DON'T THINK ANYONE KNOWS QUITE HOW TO HANDLE THAT..." as another asks, "WHERE ARE THE MEDICAL TEAM...I!" The stench comment floats above: "THE STENCH OF FISH IN THIS PLACE IS SIMPLY UNBEARABLE!!!" with heavy *PANT* sound effects and impact lines emphasizing the chaos.

A group of fish-men and a curly-haired noble react to distant noise. One fish-man laughs, "BAHOHO HO...! NOW, THAT SOUNDS ENTERTAINING...!!!" while another exclaims, "CAP'N VANDER DECKEN!!" A third notes, "SOUNDS LIKE A WRECKED TENRYUUBITO SHIP HAS ARRIVED ON THE ISLAND SEEKING REFUGE!!" and a fourth adds, "IT SURE IS NOISY OUT THERE...!!!" The noble with wild hair growls, "WELL, MY DEAR BOY, IT SEEMS THAT A FISHMAN NAMED JIMBEI HAS JOINED THE SHICHIBUKAI..." A young fish-man cries out, "BUT WHY, DADDY DEAREST...I!!" The noble's face twists in fury: "EHI! THE FISHMAN SLAVES HAVE GONE BACK TO FISHMAN ISLANDI!" and "...THIS ISN'T HOW IT WAS SUPPOSED TO GO..." He then smirks wickedly, "...I PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THAT WONDERFUL COLLECTION OF FISHMAN SLAVES!!!" and declares, "THEN I WILL GO BACK AND GET THEM BACK, DADDY DEAREST!!" A smaller figure adds, "INCLUDING THOSE WHO WERE ONCE SLAVES..." while the noble finishes, "...AND THE MEMBERS OF HIS PIRATE CREW, THE SUN PIRATES, HAVE BEEN RETURNED TO THEIR HOME." Laughter and tension fill the room as the noble's eyes gleam with greed.

A long-haired fish-man reacts with shock, "EHI". In the background, a voice yells desperately, "HEY - WAIT, YOU GUYS!! WHAT ARE YOU PLANNING ON DOINGI!!" as a group of armed fish-men march forward. The scene shifts to a tense standoff where several fish-men, including a tall bearded figure and a muscular spiky-haired man, aim rifles at a massive fish lying on the ground. A Celestial Dragon-like man in a top hat points accusingly. The large fish-man seated on a throne-like structure glares down. The spiky-haired man shouts furiously, "...YOU MUST RETURN WITH ME IMMEDIATELY!! WHO GAVE YOU PERMISSION TO LEAVE, FISHI!!" The Celestial Dragon recoils in recognition, screaming, "AHHH!! IT'S YOU!!! MY SLAVES!!!" while a nearby bearded man mutters "ギロ..." with a stern expression.

Chaos erupts as gunfire rings out with loud SFX "ヒャッ！ ヒャッ！". The Celestial Dragon is struck, crying "NYHA AAAAAH HHH!!!" while someone yells "STOP IT, YOU GUYS!!!". A fish-man warns, "HE'S A TENRYUUBITO!! IF YOU ATTACK HIM, EVEN YOUR PARDONS WILL COUNT FOR NOTHING!!". The large bearded fish-man, Neptune, growls defiantly, "BUT WE'RE IN THE DEPTHS. AS LONG AS THE PEOPLE HERE KEEP QUIET......THIS WILL BE NO MORE THAN AN 'ACCIDENT AT SEA'....!" while aiming a massive cannon. The spiky-haired man retorts, "IN THE WORLD ABOVE, YOUR POSITION IS PROTECTED......BY THE THREAT OF MARINE ADMIRALS COMING TO DEFEND YOU." The Celestial Dragon pants in panic, "DO YOU NOT REALISE WHO I AMI!!!...FOOLS. KNOW YOUR PLACE AND STOP THIS AT ONCE." Below, the crowd reacts in horror as the spiky-haired man declares, "WELL, I'M NOT GONNA SAY ANYTHING! ME EITHER!! WHY SHOULD II!!" and another notes, "HE'S GOT A POINT..." A close-up shows the Celestial Dragon sweating and terrified.

A mob of enraged fish-men surround a wounded figure on the ground, shouting in fury. "MAKE SURE IT'S PAINFUL!!!" "KILL HIIIIM!!!" "LET HIM FEEL A LITTLE OF THE PAIN YOU SUFFERED!!!" "EVEN IF WE DON'T DO A THING, HE'S BARELY BREATHING!! HE'S DEAD EITHER WAY!!" A confused voice cries out, "WHAT'S GOING ONI I'M AN IMPORTANT PERSON...! EHI" A massive anguished wail echoes across the scene. In the next panels a massive fish-man with a gun trembles, aiming directly ahead. "WAIT... STOOOP!!!" he shouts. Another fish-man snarls, "YOU, OF ALL PEOPLE... I COULD NEVER FORGIVE EVEN IF I TRIED...!!!" The mob presses forward with weapons raised, yelling "IGNORANT FISH!!!" "STOP THIS AT ONCE!!!" "DO ITTTTT!!!" as impact sounds and motion lines fill the chaotic spread.

Shock ripples through the crowd as Queen Otohime is struck. "EHI!!" A large fish-man fires his weapon while others stare in horror. "QUEEN OTOHIME!!!" The queen lies wounded on the ground, blood visible, as bystanders react in panic. "YOUR MAJESTY!!" "THE BULLET HIT THE QUEEN....!!" Someone desperately orders, "THROW YOUR WEAPONS ASIDE, ALL OF YOU....!!" Otohime gasps weakly, "UNG HH..." while a young girl screams "AAAAH HHHH!!!" and others pant in terror amid the spreading chaos and debris.

A close-up shows Shirahoshi's tear-streaked face, an X-shaped mark on her forehead, as she cries out, "THERE ARE CHILDREN WATCHING...!!!" Nearby panels capture shocked onlookers, including a stern fish-man with a striped hat and a group of wide-eyed children and adults. Below, chaos erupts as a fish-man with a wide grin shouts, "YOUR HIGHNESSES...!" while another exclaims, "BOSS JIMBEI!!! MOTHER JUST DASHED OUT OF THE PALACE ALONE...!" A mermaid girl with pigtails adds, "I ONLY JUST GOT HERE MYSELF..." as Aladdin, gripping a trident, demands, "ALADDIN! WHERE IS THE TENRYUUBITOI!" Shirahoshi, labeled in a small frame as Shirahoshi (6), looks on with wide eyes while a fish-man growls, "ONE OF THE... LESS PLEASANT TYPES OF HUMAN..." and another notes, "IT'S A KIND OF HUMAN, SHIRAHOSHI..." A young Shirahoshi asks, "BROTHER, WHO IS THIS 'TENRYUUBITO'I"

The scene shifts to a wounded figure lying on the ground as voices shout, "DO YOU NOT REALISE WHAT THIS MAN HAS DONE TO US...I!" "WHY DO YOU PROTECT HIMI!" and "BUT... YOUR MAJESTY...!!!" Neptune stands firm, declaring, "...IT IS MERELY A SCRATCH...!!!" Shirahoshi's tearful face fills a large panel as she pleads, "THEY MUST MEET THE HUMANS FOR THEMSELVES, AND MAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS!!!" and "YOU MUST NOT PASS IT ON TO THE CHILDREN...!!!" She continues, "I KNOW IT MUST BE DIFFICULT... BUT NO MATTER HOW MUCH ANGER AND HATRED YOU BEAR TOWARDS THESE HUMANS..." and "I CAN HEAR THE CRIES OF YOUR HEARTS. THEY ARE PAINFULLY CLEAR TO ME..." A fish-man with a NUTRI shirt and a small boy watch in shock. In the final panels, a furious fish-man roars about "THE TRAGEDY THAT HAS BEFALLEN US!!" and "OUR RAGE TOWARDS THE HUMANS!!!" while Shirahoshi begs, "DON'T TELL ANYTHING OF THIS TO THE PEOPLE OF FISHMAN ISLAND!!!" and "I BEG OF YOU!!!"

Panic erupts across the scene as voices cry out in alarm. "NO... YOUR MAJESTY!!" A mermaid shouts "MOTHER, WATCH OUT!!" while another screams "AHH!!" amid flying debris and frantic motion. The view cuts to a massive close-up of Shirahoshi's tear-streaked face, eyes squeezed shut and mouth stretched wide in raw anguish as she wails "MOTHEEEEEEE EEEEEER!!!!" with heavy sound effects and motion lines emphasizing her desperate cry. Below, the destruction intensifies; a colossal impact rocks the area with "ドドドドドドドド!!!" as figures flee in terror, one wide-eyed character gasping "!!I" while others scatter amid rubble and chaos.

Massive Sea Kings surge into view, jaws agape as someone yells "SEA KINGS!!!" Terrified faces scream "EEE EHHH HHHHHI!!!" while the colossal creatures loom over the underwater city. Enormous SFX "ドドドド...!!!" and "ハァァ...!!!" dominate the panel as the beasts' dripping heads fill the frame, their eyes wide and menacing. Below, the panicked citizens of Fish-Man Island scatter through the streets and coral structures, some frozen in shock with "!!!!I" as the enormous jaws and fins cast shadows over the fleeing crowd.

A massive shark-like fish-man looms in close-up, sweat flying as narration declares, "THERE IS A LEGEND..." The scene shifts to an underwater vista of Fish-Man Island with a giant spotted fish swimming past coral buildings, followed by a wide-eyed fish-man in a helmet gasping "ザギーーーン" in shock. Shirahoshi stares in horror, tears streaming, crying "SHIRAHOSHI... CAN IT BE THAT YOU...I!I!" A fish-man with a bow on his head clutches his face in panic while another shouts "IT CANNOT BE MERE COINCIDENCE..." and "WHAT JUST HAPPENED...I!" A stern fish-man with a headband sweats heavily as Shirahoshi covers her mouth in distress. The shark-like narrator continues: "IT WAS IN PURSUIT OF THIS LEGEND THAT THE VERY FIRST VANDER DECKEN SET SAIL FOR THE DEPTHS...!!!!" The final panel reveals the legend in detail: "THE LEGEND TELLS THAT LONG AGO, AN INCREDIBLE POWER LAY HIDDEN BELOW THE WAVES... A MERMAID PRINCESS WITH THE ABILITY TO COMMAND EVEN THE SEA KINGS..."

Vander Decken IX stands triumphantly on the deck of his ship, arms spread wide, roaring "THE TREASURE THAT YOU SOUGHT!!!" and "MY ANCESTOR!!! I HAVE FINALLY FOUND IT!!" His crew cheers wildly. A subordinate warns "...FIRST, I MUST MAKE THE PRINCESS MY BRIDE!!" while another notes "IT IS ONLY MY CLAN WHO KNOW THE FULL TRUTH OF THIS LEGEND!" Vander Decken snaps "SSSHHHHH!! BE QUIET, YOU TWO!!" as his men reply "GOOD GOING, CAPTAIN!!" and "MMMMMMM, YES, THAT IS A PROBLEM!" The scene cuts to Aladdin standing with his trident planted firmly, declaring "I WILL... TREAT THIS MAN..." Shirahoshi pleads nearby, "YOUR MAJESTY, YOUR WOUNDS TOO MUST BE SEEN TO..." while Aladdin murmurs "ALADDIN..." Vander Decken glares furiously from the side as the crew reacts with shock and motion lines fill the chaotic deck.

A few short weeks later, the Tenryuubito's treatment is complete. The massive ship rests in the waters near the palace as narration states, "...THE TENRYUUBITO WAS RESTORED TO HEALTH..." and "A FEW SHORT WEEKS LATER, HIS TREATMENT COMPLETE..." Neptune grips his trident, glaring as he declares, "WHAT RIGHT DOES HE HAVE TO RESENT US AFTER WE SAVED HIS LIFE...I!I" Ministers debate nearby: "IT WILL ONLY BRING DANGER TO THIS ISLAND..." and "WE SHOULDN'T SEND HIM BACK..." Another voice rages, "THE NERVE OF IT ALL!! LIVESTOCK TURNING UPON THEIR MASTERS...!!" The Tenryuubito snarls from the ship, "I WON'T FORGET THIS, YOU STINKING FISH!!" and "I WILL MAKE YOU REGRET WHAT YOU DID...!!!" Shirahoshi and attendants react in shock as one cries, "YOUR MAJESTY... YOU CAN'T BE SERIOUS!!!" Otohime steps forward calmly, "WAIT, PLEASE!! IT WOULD SEEM THAT WE STILL HAVE MUCH TO DISCUSS. AS SUCH, I WILL ACCOMPANY YOU TO THE SURFACE!"

The king transforms into his massive shark form, roaring with fury. Voices protest, "...I CAN'T IMAGINE THAT THE KING WOULD BE CAPTURED BY THE HUMANS, BUT STILL...!" and "YOUR MAJESTY!!" Otohime stands firm, "IF YOU TRULY ARE INTENT ON NEGOTIATING WITH THESE NOBLES, THEN I WILL GO MYSELF!!!" Neptune bellows, "I CANNOT ALLOW SUCH A RECKLESS ACT!!!" and "WAIT RIGHT THERE, OTOHIME!!!" as massive sound effects erupt: "ドーン!!" Otohime gently stops him, explaining, "IT MUST BE NOT A POWERFUL WARRIOR, BUT A PHYSICALLY FRAIL INDIVIDUAL SUCH AS MYSELF WHO GOES TO THE SURFACE AND RETURNS SAFELY. THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO PROVE THAT IT IS SAFE FOR OUR PEOPLE IN THE WORLD ABOVE." Neptune deflates, muttering, "NO... IT WOULD BE MEANINGLESS FOR YOU TO GO." The crowd erupts in panic as children and citizens shout, "QUEEN OTOHIME!!" "QUEEN OTOHIME, WHERE ARE YOU GOINGI!" "MOTHER!!" "MOTHER!!" while Shirahoshi watches in distress.

Otohime's face fills the panel as she speaks earnestly, her eyes shining. "BOTH IN ME, THE WIFE WHOM YOU CHOSE..." she says, followed by "...AND IN THE HUMANS...!!!" A voice cries out "HAVE FAITH!!" while another calls "OTOHIME...!!!" Below, a young girl with a bun hairstyle weeps alongside others. A figure stands dramatically on a staircase as an angry fish-man shouts "SUCH IMPUDENCE!!" Narration boxes recount the tense period: "AND AFTER A WEEK THAT FELT LIKE MANY MONTHS..." "BOSS JIMBEI! IS THERE ANY NEWS OF THE QUEENI!" "...WRACKED THE ENTIRE RYUGULUGU KINGDOM...!!!" "NIGHT AFTER NIGHT OF SLEEPLESS UNEASE..." A fish-man laments, "I WISH WE COULD HEAR HER SPEECHES AGAIN..." Jimbei stands among the crowd as someone urges, "IT WILL BE ALL RIGHT!! CHEER UP, ALL OF YOU!" Another replies, "WE MUST WAIT PATIENTLY AND BELIEVE IN HER..."

Narration continues: "OTOHIME HAD FINALLY BEEN ABLE TO PACIFY THE TENRYUUBITO..." and "AFTER NEGOTIATIONS THAT SPANNED MANY DAYS..." A massive crowd erupts in cheers as a ship approaches. Voices shout "WELCOME HOME, YOUR MAJESTY!!" "THANK GOODNESS YOU'RE ALIVE!!! THAT ALONE IS ENOUGH!!!" and "YOUR MAJESTY!!!" The narration states, "QUEEN OTOHIME HAS RETURNED!!!" In a large panel, Otohime smiles gently while holding a piece of paper, her long hair flowing. Text reads, "...WAS A SHINING RAY OF HOPE FOR ALL OF FISH-MAN ISLAND." and "AND THE PIECE OF PAPER THAT OTOHIME HELD IN HER HAND..." The crowd continues to cheer wildly around her.
