Massive dragon Kaido crashes through stormy skies above jagged rocks, body coiling as lightning flashes. Huge onomatopoeia "ドドドドドドドドド...!" shakes the sky. The label "ON THE ROOF..." appears. Below, an armored figure is hurled violently through the air with "THUD" and "THUMP!" impact effects. The warrior crashes into the ground amid debris. In the next panels the same armored fighter is sent flying again with a massive "わああああああ" scream as Kaido's dragon form lunges forward with claws and fangs bared, surrounded by "ゴォォォォ!" sound effects and flying rubble.

A samurai shouts "YES SIR!!" while another yells "GET AWAY FROM THE ROOF!". The armored fighter is struck hard, crying "AAR-RGH!!!" as flames and smoke erupt. Nearby, a swordsman tightens his grip with "TIGHTEN" and "FZZT!!" effects. In the lower section a woman with a long ponytail and a man with a topknot stand together. She catches her breath with "HUFF.. HUFF.." then answers confidently "OF COURSE!!" when asked "CAN YOU STAND, KIKUNOJOI". The man grips his sword, ready to continue fighting amid swirling smoke and debris.

Kaido's massive dragon head looms over the battlefield, declaring "BUT RATHER IN DEATH, THAT HUMANS TRULY ATTAIN PERFECTION!!!" and "WOULDN'T YOU AGREEI" while striking with his club amid "ゴゴゴゴゴ!!" effects. He continues "THAT'S HOW IT SHOULD BE...!!" and "THAT UNWAVERING RESOLVE...!!" with "WORORO-RORO...". A long-haired samurai in patterned armor stands with his back to the viewer, flanked by allies. He states "AND WHITEBEARD... AS DID ROGER... YOU SAMURAI... I LIKE...". Close-ups show intense eyes and the shout "LET'S END THIS!!". An opponent retorts "BEING KILLED BY YOU WOULD BRING US NO HONOUR!!" and "DON'T FLATTER YOURSELF KAIDO!!". Kaido swings again as the samurai replies "IT IS NOT WITH THE ADVANCEMENT OF TIMES..." and "YOU PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT.....!!!" while both sides exchange heavy breaths "HUFF...".

Inside the castle's first floor, Luffy and Jinbe charge forward at full speed. A voice yells, "WATCH OUT!! THEY'RE INCREDIBLY STRONG!!" Another shouts, "WOOAH! IT'S STRAWHAT LUFFY AND JINBE!!" Luffy roars with determination, "I WANNA KICK KAIDO'S ASS ALREADY!" while urging, "JUST KEEP ON RUNNING!" Allies call out, "HURRY HURRY!!! WE HAVE TO GET TO KINEMON!!!" Hamlet the giraffe SMILE user and Fourtricks the chicken SMILE user confront the intruders. Hamlet growls, "EXPECTATIONS"... IS WHAT WE... WILL BE EXCEEDING!!!" Another realizes in horror, "SO 'THIS' IS THE PLAGUE!I" as monstrous ice oni forms emerge with roars of "GRRAAA WWWWRRR RRRRRR!!!"

Queen rampages wildly, his demonic ice form spreading the plague indiscriminately. Allies shout, "THESE DEMONS BLINDLY ATTACK ALLIES AND ENEMIES ALIKE." and "QUEEN, THAT BASTARD!! HE'S INSANE!!" An infected man begs, "RATHER THAN HURTING MY COMRADES I'LL PREFER TO..." while others cry, "BOSS HYOGORO! FORGIVE ME!" "BOSS OMASA GOT INFECTED!!" and "BOSS HYOU-GORO!!" Hyogoro is shown transforming as a comrade pleads, "DON'T BE SO RASH! YOU FOOL!" In close-up, an oni-faced fighter threatens, "I WILL CUT YOU DOWN WITHOUT HESITATION!! DON'T HASTEN YOUR DEATH!!" Another voice states, "THERE SHOULD BE A WAY TO CURE IT!!! WHEN ALL HOPE IS LOST..." Hyogoro growls through the transformation, "I DON'T WANT TO BECOME A DEMON."

Screams echo as infected fighters thrash in agony. "AAAAA-ARGH!!!" A massive spiked club wielder howls while comrades are dragged into the chaos. The horned figure recounts the past: "To save you!! I rushed to Kuri Castle... Momonosuke, that day..." Allies react with shock. From the rooftop the figure could only watch as Kaido threatened to drop Momonosuke. "I could only watch on, as Kaido... But I'm sorry!! Huh... How... are you unharmed...!I" The figure lands in an explosion of debris, declaring, "Not strong enough!! That day I was..."

A massive impact strikes with "バキン!!!" as the horned figure is sent flying through the air. Yamato stands tall, club in hand, shouting her name: "YAMATO!!!" She declares, "A short while ago I introduced myself as Oden...! And I'm prepared to die for you!!!" Allies stare in stunned silence. One asks, "Wh... who are you!I" Another finishes, "But I'm also known as..."
