Lucy and the Statue of Kyros

The brawl intensifies as Don Chinjao and his men clash. Voices shout "KAHKAH", "NO NEED FOR THANKS!!", "THANKS FOR THAT!!", "EVEN LOOKS LIKE DON CHINJAO AND BOO FROM HANOKUNI SHOWED UP!!" and "WHOA!! IT'S XAI AND BOO FROM HANOKUNI!!!". Dagama yells "YOU... SCHEMING SOMETHING WITH STRONG GUYS IN THE SAME BLOCK!I" while a fighter retorts "YOU DON'T GOTTA TURN DOWN HIS THANKS THAT MUCH, BRO!!" and "TAKE IT BACK, YOU SCUM!!" with a massive "WAHH!!". Another warns "DON'T YOU EVER THANK US AGAIN!!" as someone screams "FUCK YOU!!" and "SERIOUSLY... NO NEED FOR TO THANK US...". The crowd buzzes with excitement over the legendary fighters.

The announcer declares that these fights are on an individual basis. Only one winner will walk away from each block. Conspiring to bribe your way through the event is forbidden. Bellamy the Hyena, the brutal pirate with a bounty over 100 million, is shown next. Orlumbus the Ruler, the made-up massacre adventurer recommended by the Donquixote Family, looms large. Cavendish, the nobleman pirate also called the Insane Rookie from one year ago known as Balto Romeo, grins confidently. A stern fighter warns that none of them are plotting anything and expects even the listener to be ready. The page ends with the intense faces of the assembled warriors.

The first round is announced as a battle royale. Only those who survive have a chance. Out of over 550 fighters, after the first round only four winners will emerge. A-block is about to start, totaling A-block up with B, C, and D-blocks. A masked fighter with a long mustache states that tomorrow the world will shift a bit, but depending on whose hands the Mera Mera no Mi falls into, their motivations may differ. Another figure notes it is pure coincidence that two people bribed their way into the same block. A woman in a mask asks what block number 556 is in, and the reply confirms C-block. The large fighter declares without further ado that it is time to get out there and do their best.

In the fighters' preparations room, a tall bearded man in a hat asks if he can really use anything in here. The masked woman replies that as far as weapons go, the only things prohibited are firearms. The man reacts with a loud UOHHH!! The scene shifts to the bustling armory filled with weapons, armor, and helmets. Fighters rush about grabbing gear. One shouts for helmets while another yells for armor. In smaller panels, two fighters discuss taking a cooler helmet than the old man statue. A large statue of a half-naked old fighter labeled Kyros stands prominently in the center of the room as the crowd reacts with excitement.

In the Corrida Colosseum, the crowd erupts in shock and admiration as a towering armored gladiator enters the arena. Hearts float through the stands while women faint. Voices cry out: "IT'S... THAT'S NOBLE-MAN..." "NOBLE-MAN!I" "HEY, WHAT'S WRONG!I" "ALL THE WOMEN ARE FAINTING!!" "NEAT...!!" "LOOKS GOOD..." A spectator wishes, "WISH USOPP AND THE OTHERS COULD SEE..." The warrior, identified as the Nobleman Pirate, draws his massive sword. The crowd gasps: "IS THIS THE EQUIPMENT ROOM!I" "IT'S NO GOOD HE'S JUST TOO PROVOCATIVE..." DON'T WALK AWAY WHEN I'M TALKING TO YOU!!!" Cavendish glances over, replying "WELL... IT DOESN'T REALLY MATTER WHAT YOU DO..." and "EH" "YOU'RE OVER THE LIMIT." Cavendish continues his speech: "THIS IS A SHOW!!" "THE AUDIENCE IS LOOKING TO SEE BLOOD" "GLADIATORS ARE SHOWMEN. IT IS THE BLOOD OF THE FALLEN..." "THAT EXCITES THE CROWD...!!" BUT I LIKE THIS STATUE!! IT'S REAL MANLY!!" In the background a voice yells, "IT'S TRUE, AIN'T IT!!" while another mocks, "HA HA CUT THAT OUT, STUPID." The crowd grows rowdy: "WE'RE LOOKING FORWARD TO SEEING THE 'UNDEFEATED WOMAN' TODAY!!" "YO!! GREAT WARRIOR REBECCA-CHAN ♥" Someone warns, "...PAY THEM NO MIND."
