ZOMBIE

On a wooden pier, Zoro stands with his back to the viewer, gripping his swords as massive impact lines and “ゴォォォォ!!” shake the air. A fishman with a striped shirt and topknot laughs wildly, “SHAHA HAHA!”. In the midground, Hatchan the octopus fishman stands with arms crossed. Below, a close-up shows Sanji’s furious face as he shouts, “WHAT A FUN GAME THIS’LL BE!” and “AHAHA HAHA!” while declaring, “DON’T THINK YOUR HEAD AND 8 LIMBS WILL STILL BE IN ONE PIECE AFTER I’M THROUGH WITH YOU, OCTOPUS!”. A large “どくっ!!” sound effect erupts. The bottom panel shows bubbles rising from the sea with the text “PURPLE PURPLE”.

Hatchan glares and says, “HMPH, NO NEED TO GET SO WORKED UP.” Sanji snaps back, “SURE DO FIGHT DIRTY!” and “YOU ROTTEN FISH BASTARDS,” while a massive “どくっ!!” crashes between them. Hatchan continues, “EVEN IF THINGS HADN’T TURNED OUT THIS WAY, YOUR CHANCES OF SURVIVAL WOULD STILL BE ZERO.” A giant sea creature with massive teeth lunges upward, roaring “SHAHA HAHA!” as it declares, “A CREATURE THAT CAN’T EVEN BREATHE UNDERWATER! HOW PATHETIC!”. Underwater, Luffy floats with arms outstretched, eyes shut, thinking “MEEEF!” amid rising bubbles. Nearby, Nojiko watches with concern while Johnny and Yosaku panic, shouting, “HE WON’T BE ABLE TO DO ANYTHING IN THAT SITUATION!” and “THIS IS BAD, JOHNNY! BROTHER LUFFY’S IN TROUBLE!”.

Zoro leaps high with swords drawn, yelling “TAKO-HACHI...”. In close-up he declares, “I’LL END THIS IN 5 SECONDS!” while gripping his blade. A dramatic slash sends Luffy flying backward through the air with arms and legs spread, the word “BLACK...” appearing beside him. Hatchan recoils in shock, eyes bulging as he cries “NYU!”. Zoro’s follow-up strike produces a massive “ギル!!II” impact and flying debris as the octopus fishman is sent flying.

The octopus fishman reels from a massive impact, limbs flailing as debris flies. "!!!I" he blurts. In the next panels he clutches his head and wails, "NYUUU! MY HAIR!" Zoro stands nearby with a cool "HMPH." The fishman on the ground looks up and answers, "OH IS THAT SOI THANKS. I'LL FORGIVE YOU SINCE IT'S ONLY HAIR! THE IMPORTANT THING IS I'M STILL ALIVE!" The octopus fishman glares and growls, "BUT... WHY YOU...!" as Zoro prepares another strike.

Zoro glances aside, thinking "THAT GUY..." while the octopus fishman pants heavily. The fishman lunges with a spinning slash, warning, "YOUR LIFE WILL BE CUT SHORT IF YOU LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!" Zoro dodges with "AHH!" and retorts, "A DAMN FISH SHOULDN'T BE GOING AGAINST A COOK!" In close-up Zoro's eye widens in surprise: "CUT SHORT...!I"

Elsewhere a straw-hatted fighter clutches his face, shouting "IT HURTS! IT HURTS!" as impacts land. Back at the duel the octopus fishman spreads his limbs and taunts, "DID YOU KNOW, RORONOA ZOROI THAT I'M QUITE STRONG AGAINST SWORDSMEN!I DO YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I MEANI" He then declares his move: "NAKED SWORD CATCHING TECHNIQUE! OCTOPUS 3 CONTINUOUS" while Zoro snarls, "LIKE HELL I DO!"

Zoro presses the attack, yelling "I DON'T HAVE TIME TO PLAY AROUND WITH YOU!" The octopus fishman counters with rapid strikes, laughing "HAH! HAH! HAH!" while his suction cups grip the blades. Zoro roars, "YOU OCTOPUS BASTARD! GO TO HELL ALREADY!" and mutters, "THIS IS GETTING RIDICULOUS..." The fishman is driven back, thinking "NUMBER 9... TAKO HACHI..." as Zoro's final slash lands with a massive impact.

The octopus fishman Hatchan unleashes a furious barrage, his multiple arms swinging wildly with heavy impact sounds ビタ.. ビタ.. ビタ.. オオオ.. as debris flies. Zoro stands firm, one sword drawn, glaring back. Hatchan roars in the next panel, "THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT! GET YOUR ASS DOWN THIS INSTANT!" while swinging his blades. An earlier exchange shows Hatchan questioning, "I'VE HEARD THAT YOU USE 3 SWORDS. SO WHY ARE YOU ONLY USING ONE!I" and "YOU TRYING TO BUY TIME OR SOMETHING!I" Zoro snaps back, "SHUT UP! I HAVEN'T FOUGHT SERIOUSLY YET! THAT'S BECAUSE USING ONE SWORD IS STILL MORE THAN ENOUGH TO BEAT YOU!"

Hatchan looms with a menacing grin, declaring, "THERE'S A CLEAR REASON, WHY HUMAN SWORDSMEN CAN NEVER HOPE TO BEAT ME." Nearby, Luffy clutches his face in pain with SFX ゴボ.. ゴボ.. as blood drips. Usopp and Sanji watch anxiously from the sidelines. Usopp yells, "WE HAVE TO DO SOMETHING! AT THIS RATE, BROTHER LUFFY'S GOING TO DIE...!" Sanji adds, "DAMN IT! THAT OCTOPUS BASTARD IS WASTING TIME! BUT IF WE JUMP INTO THE SEA RIGHT NOW, HE'LL DRAG US UNDER AND DROWN US!" Genzo steps forward with the villagers, saying, "I'LL GO SAVE THAT RUBBER BOY INSTEAD." A villager protests, "DO YOU THINK YOU CAN REALLY ACCOMPLISH ANYTHING BY JUMPING INTO THE SEA WITH THOSE WOUNDS OF YOURS!I" Genzo is struck, "OWWW!" as Hatchan attacks again with loud SFX ビキビキ..!!

Nojiko shouts fiercely, "I'LL GO TOO!" along with other villagers yelling, "AND ME! ME TOO! I'LL GO TOO!" Genzo tries to stop them, "GEN... JUST ME ALONE IS FINE! IT'LL BE MEANINGLESS IF WE END UP HINDERING THEIR FIGHT. IF WE ALL GO, IT'LL BE EASIER FOR THE FISHMEN TO SPOT US AND THAT'LL ONLY BRING MORE TROUBLE. NO!" The crowd insists, "ALRIGHTI" Nojiko pleads, "BUT THOSE GUYS ARE FIGHTING FOR MY SISTER'S SAKE! NOJIKO...! BUT YOUR STOMACH IS STILL... GEN, I'LL GO TOO!" Genzo relents, "PLEASE HURRY!" A villager replies, "THANK YOU, MISTER!"

Zoro dashes ahead down the wooden walkway, shouting "ROGER!" as Genzo calls after him, "FINE, LET'S HURRY UP!" Nojiko watches with a determined expression. Hatchan appears in close-up, explaining, "AND THE REASON WHY HUMANS CAN'T BEAT ME IS..." In the next instant he strikes with a powerful slash SFX クラッ..!! sending Zoro flying backward in shock, "WHAT!I" with massive impact effects シャアアア.. ドドド.. ドド.. as Hatchan lands and taunts, "NYUII"

Top panels show shocked fishmen reacting to the scene. One yells "BROTHER!I" while another wonders with a "I". A fishman notes, "JUST AS I THOUGHT... THE WOUNDS HE RECEIVED FROM HAWKEYES STILL HAVEN'T..." and another grunts "HMI". In the large lower panel, Roronoa Zoro stands amid rubble as the octopus fishman Hatchan launches a massive assault. Hatchan shouts "RORONOA ZORO!" and "MEET YOUR DOOM AS YOU GET CRUSHED!" while declaring "THIS IS MY CHANCE! TAKOYAKI PUNCH!" Enormous striped tentacles smash down with heavy SFX "ゴゴゴ" and "ドドド", sending debris flying. Zoro is driven to his knees, swords scattered, as Hatchan looms over him with a small "HUP."

Hatchan continues his assault with spinning tentacles and "AHA HAHA!" laughter, but Zoro evades. The octopus fishman yelps "NYUII" in surprise. Zoro stands firm despite the chaos, asking "WHY DON'T YOU GET CRUSHED INSTEADI" as massive impact SFX "ズガガガ" and "カチカチ" erupt around him, with "AGHHHHHHH!" and "PANT" sounds. Nearby, Sanji reacts in shock: "I KNEW SOMETHING WAS UP WHEN HE ACTED NORMAL EVEN AFTER RECEIVING THOSE WOUNDS!" Usopp adds "THAT MORON!" while another fishman realizes "OBVIOUSLY! IT'S A WOUND THAT WOULD DISABLE A MAN FOR AT LEAST HALF A YEAR, IF NOT KILL HIM!" and "HIS WOUNDS ARE JUST TOO DEEP! THEY HAVEN'T HEALED OVER YET!" The group questions "WAS HE ENDURING THE PAIN ALL THIS TIME!I" as Hatchan is sent flying with "DAMN IT..." and "OF ALL THE TIMES, WHY NOW...!"

A fishman launches a powerful spinning kick, crying "EIII!" with dramatic speed lines and impact effects. Sanji watches with intense focus. The attacker, a fishman-karate practitioner, declares "I'M A 40TH LEVEL FISHMAN-KARATE PRACTITIONER!" while warning "I WARNED YOU BEFORE NOT TO LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE...!" The strike creates explosive smoke and debris as Zoro remains the target amid the ruined plaza.

From the ground, Hatchan looks up in shock, shouting "BROTHER COOK!I" and "B..." Other fishmen exclaim "WHAT...!I DID A HUMAN...!I JUST FLY PAST US...!I" A large panel shows Sanji standing tall with arms outstretched amid swirling "ゴオオオオオ" effects, prompting another "BROTHER COOK!I" In the final panel before Arlong Park's main building, fishmen discuss the fallen swordsman: "COULDN'T EVEN PUT UP A FIGHT... HOW BORING.", "JUST THROW HIM INTO THE SEA.", "WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH RORONOA ZOROI", and "THEY'VE BEEN TAKEN CARE OF, ARLONG." Arlong's subordinates stand amid the destruction and water.

Hatchan roars in fury after being struck, chains and weapons flying as he yells, "YOU'VE REALLY PISSED ME OFF! I'M GOING TO BUTCHER YOU!" A voice calls out, "HOW LONG ARE YOU GOING TO BE SLEEPING!I HEY, HACHI! WAKE UP!" Hatchan awakens dramatically in a massive splash panel, gripping his six swords with intense focus. He declares, "EVEN IF THE HEAVENS WERE TO BE FLIPPED OVER, YOU WOULD HAVE NO CHANCE OF BEATING ME!!! DID YOU KNOW THAT ASIDE FROM ONE MAN, I, HACHI OF THE 6 SWORDS STYLE, AM THE NUMBER 1 SWORDSMAN IN FISHMAN ISLAND!I"

Zoro scoffs at the display, "6 SWORDS STYLEI DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH. JUST WHAT'S SO GREAT ABOUT THAT!I" Hatchan reacts with surprise, "NYUI" and then laughs, "NYUUU!" Zoro stands ready with his swords, stating, "NOT EVEN THE GRIM REAPER CAN TAKE MY LIFE AWAY! LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING, YOU LITTLE OCTOPUS! I'VE GOT A MAN I HAVE TO MEET NO MATTER WHAT... AND UNTIL I MEET HIM..." The fight erupts as Hatchan charges. Zoro counters, "I'LL KILL YOU, RORONOA ZORO." Hatchan is shocked, "HE WAS ALIVEI" and calls out, "YOSAKU! JOHNNY! LEND ME YOUR SWORDS! ALLOW ME TO SHOW YOU MY 3 SWORDS STYLE."

Zoro lands a powerful strike, sending Hatchan flying backward with a loud impact, "どよっ...!!" Onlookers react in shock. Sanji appears, reflecting on the earlier kick, "THEN THE KICKS I RECEIVED FROM THAT OLD GEEZER ALL THE TIME WERE ABOUT LEVEL 400... IF THAT WAS A 40TH LEVEL PUNCH JUST NOW," as he delivers a devastating blow. Hatchan is sent soaring through the air with a pained scream, "A GHHHHHHH!" while debris and impact effects fill the panel.
