Ten days ago on Zou, Caesar is impressed by the devastation, laughing that the poison gas did even more than he expected. The chapter title appears: "Chapter 811: Roko." Caesar explains that the gas is named "Koro" and proudly calls it a "mass slaughter weapon" of his own design, while the translator note says the Japanese word for kill is "korosu." Sanji kicks Caesar and snaps that if he had not invented it in the first place, none of the minks would have suffered. Chopper orders Caesar to neutralize the gas with his power, saying it is not as if he fired the weapon himself, so he should get moving.

Sanji warns the others not to assume too quickly who is right, saying the mink race is infamous for two things: their prowess in battle and their hatred of humans. He worries that saving them might place the crew on the wrong side of the food chain and suggests they would be better off leaving, but a sudden rain of gas and screams interrupt him. Nami's voice rings out, and Sanji immediately recognizes it. In the ruined city, Nami and Brook hear wounded people wheezing under the poisonous air and wonder what kind of rain is falling.

Sanji grabs Caesar and orders him to get rid of every trace of the gas from the city before he comes back, threatening that Caesar's heart may be made into pate if he fails. Caesar grudgingly agrees, calling Sanji a devil. Sanji tells Brook to hold the enemy off a little longer, then launches into the fight with "Diable... Mouton Shot!!!" and sends a Beasts Pirate flying. His priority shifts completely from caution to rescue once he hears Nami and sees that civilians are suffering.

The remaining Beasts Pirates are ordered to fall back after Lord Sheepshead is defeated. They decide to report that the samurai was not on Zou, but panic when they realize someone wants to know about the samurai anyway. Caesar, furious and sweating, produces "Koro-neutralizing gas" while complaining that the others are making him do this. A note explains that Japanese is written in syllables, so "Ko-Ro" backwards becomes "Ro-Ko." The neutralizing gas bursts across the city with the shout "Roko!" as Caesar reverses his own weapon.

The Roko gas spreads through Claw City and begins clearing the poisonous clouds from the streets, bodies, and buildings. Caesar watches the effect with his mask on and says, "Good... it's working." Minks begin coughing instead of suffocating as the poison lifts. Chopper is called from the lower forest, and the group moves quickly toward the survivors. The page shows the moment the gas finally stops being a death sentence and becomes something the crew can fight back against medically.

The crew surveys the ruined country. Nami says the destruction is horrible, and Sanji asks whether Caesar's weapon truly caused all of it. Caesar admits the country was almost completely wiped out by the earlier gas and says his counter-gas has at least done a good job removing what remains. Sanji notes that if Jack's men were willing to go so far, many of them may still be hiding somewhere on the island. He also remembers the warning from Gasbarrin that the mink races are violent, and wonders whether they may regret saving them if that turns out to be true.

A weakened mink asks whether the newcomers are also friends of Jack's. Nami, startled, is suddenly attacked by the exhausted survivor with a spear. As the survivor denounces the invaders, Tristan recognizes Nami and shouts to Wanda that these people saved her. Pedro also appears, and the minks realize that the gas has really disappeared from the city because of the crew's "magic." Chopper and the others are shocked by the misunderstanding, while Nami and Sanji finally begin to earn the survivors' trust in the ruins of Claw City.

Chopper warns that more than twenty-four hours have passed since the gas was released, and that if antidotes are not administered within forty-eight hours of exposure, the effects become impossible to treat. He declares, "I'm a doctor! Please, do as I say!" and orders the minks to round up everyone capable of assisting him because he does not have enough tools or medicine to care for the whole country. Nami promises, "We're not going to abandon a single one of you!" The minks, who thought they were all done for, break down in relief.

The rescue effort begins in earnest. Chopper and Caesar work over medical supplies and antidotes, while Nami, Brook, Sanji, and the minks move through the ruined city to locate survivors. The crew treats the wounded, carries patients, and searches among the collapsed bodies and wreckage. The page is mostly a quiet montage of urgent labor rather than dialogue, showing the Straw Hat side turning Caesar's forced countermeasure and Chopper's medical command into a countrywide rescue operation.

The rescue montage continues as the Curly Hat group and the minks tend to the injured, move supplies, and search deeper through the city. Chopper organizes treatment, Brook and Sanji help carry people, and Nami comforts survivors while the smoke and gas clear. The sequence also shows the lingering horror of the attack, including the crucified and wounded leaders and the countless bodies scattered through the streets. The country slowly shifts from panic to survival because the newcomers choose to help instead of flee.

Back in the present, the minks tell Nami that although they were little more than strangers, the crew managed to save every last one of them. Wanda says they will never forget the debt for as long as they live and hope to repay it one day, though Nami is embarrassed by the affection. Usopp realizes this is why the Straw Hats were welcomed so warmly and says it makes him proud to be a Straw Hat. Luffy, moved by Jack's cruelty, promises that one day he will sock Jack and that Kaido goon good and hard. Chopper asks whether they will stay and talk or whether he needs to go somewhere.

Chopper says it is nighttime, so he wants to pay the ruler of the night, Nekomamushi, a visit and check on the Guardians of Whale Forest. Wanda suggests they get out the crocodiles, while Robin notes that as a "ruler's bird" her job is to be at the side of both rulers, day and night, and to pass information between their kingdoms. She intends to report that Duke Inuarashi is safe and sound, though she still suspects it may be dismissed as unnecessary information. Luffy wants to meet Nekomamushi too, and Brook enthusiastically says he is fond of him and will accompany the group.

Under a full moon hidden by clouds, the group rides crocodiles through Zou. Carrot apologizes for tagging along, but says she is also a ruler's bird, while Wanda warns everyone to be careful. Zoro points out that Curly and Gasbrain have not yet disappeared from the story, meaning Sanji and Caesar still need to be explained. Brook admits that the minks have not been told most of what actually happened because their whole country had just been destroyed and the Straw Hats did not want to give them more reason to worry. The conversation starts shifting from Zou's rescue to Sanji's disappearance.

Brook tells the others to steel themselves as they listen, because it may very well be that Sanji is no longer able to return to them. Luffy protests that Sanji said in his letter he would come back, but Brook insists what actually happened was far more serious. He explains that Zou is known as a phantom island because the island itself is a living being, log poses do not point to it, and it is normally all but impossible to find. Although the crew slipped away from Big Mom's ship, they made a grave mistake: Big Mom's ship caught wind of their destination.

Brook says the Big Mom Pirates allowed the Sunny group to head to Zou ahead of them, because unbeknownst to the crew, three people on Big Mom's ship rode natives of the phantom island and could follow them. In other words, two days earlier, Big Mom's ship came calling at Zou. The ship approaches the giant elephant as its riders announce that they are there and that two of them should be more than enough. A fierce feline figure roars, "Zou is my homeland! Leave this to me, Mama!" The chapter ends by asking whether a Yonko could be involved in Sanji's disappearance.
