Adventure at Ghost Island

The Straw Hats' battered ship drifts toward a massive ruined castle on a foggy island as heavy chains and a giant mouth-like gate loom ahead. A voice calls out, "...WH-WHAT DO YOU MEAN, GHOST ISLAND!I" Another replies, "HEY, HEY, WHERE IS THAT GHOST FROM BEFORE!I IS HE STILL ON THE SHIP!I" Someone answers, "NO, HE WENT TO THE ISLAND. HE PROBABLY LIVES THERE." Nami points toward the fog-shrouded walls and says, "BUT IT SEEMS AS IF THE WALLS ATTACHED TO THAT GATE ARE SURROUNDING THE ISLAND." Luffy asks, "IT'S HARD TO SEE DUE TO THE FOG," while another crew member wonders, "EATENI" Nami continues, "THEN IT MEANS WE WERE PROBABLY EATEN BY THAT MOUTH." She adds, "YOU REMEMBER THAT BIG VIBRATION FROM BEFORE...I IF THAT WAS THE SOUND OF THAT MOUTH-LIKE GATE CLOSING."

Nami stares at the island and realizes, "I SEE... THAT'S WHY THAT SKELETON TOLD US TO GET OUT OF HERE ASAP!!" A label marks the location "Ghost Island 'Thriller Bark'" with "Current Location" and "'Mouth' gate" noted. She concludes, "BY THE WALLS THAT SURROUND THE ISLAND... ---MEANING, THE SHIP IS CONFINED." Panic spreads on deck as crew members shout, "H-HEY! WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO ANCHORI WE'VE GOTTA ESCAPE," "WE CANNOT LOWER THE ANCHOR BECAUSE WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SEA," "IF THE 'ISLAND' KEEPS ON MOVING," and "WHAT FOR...I THAT MEANS THIS ISLAND IS ARTIFICIALLY WANDERING AROUND AT SEA...!I" Usopp yells, "WE HAVE TO GET OUT NOW, OR WE'LL BE CURSED." Luffy grins and declares, "DID YOU CONTRACT THE 'ALWAYS READY FOR ADVENTURE' DISEASE OR SOMETHING!!I ALL RIGHT! TAKE THE SHIP TO THE ISLAND!!" Chopper and others scream, "ME, TOO!! I HAVE IT TOO!!!" while Usopp and Nami panic, "GHOSTS ARE SCARY GHOSTS ARE SCARY."

Luffy excitedly points at the haunted castle and shouts, "YOU'RE UNDERESTIMATING THIS!!! I'LL CATCH THAT GHOST FROM EARLIER AND FEED IT." Usopp warns, "YOU'RE UNDERESTIMATING THE 'EVIL SPIRITS'!!!" Sanji adds, "WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!I I'M TAKING ALL THE NECESSARY MEASURES POSSIBLE." Nami calls out, "HEY, THINK IT OVER, LUFFY!!! LOOK AT IT. THAT CREEPY BUILDING IS A REAL 'HAUNTED HOUSE'!!!" Brook the skeleton protests, "IF THAT SKELETON IS OUR NAKAMA, I'LL BE TOO AFRAID TO SLEEP AT NIGHT!!!" while Franky yells, "OUR NAKAMA... I OBJECT!!!" Sanji demands, "SANJI!! GIMME PIRATE BENTO!!" and insists, "WE HAVE TO GET OUR PRECIOUS NAKAMA BACK." Nami smiles and says, "I LIKE... THE EXCITEMENT," as Franky and Robin prepare to explore. Luffy calls, "FRANKY!! FRANKY!! MAKE SURE TO PROTECT ROBIN-CHAN." Usopp adds, "EXPLORING AN UNKNOWN ISLAND SURE IS EXCITING."

The crew examines the Thousand Sunny's Soldier Dock System. Franky reveals the hidden channels, declaring, "THE SOLDIER DOCK SYSTEM: 'CHANNEL 2'!!!" A surprised voice exclaims, "2"!I" Franky continues, "BUT THERE'S STILL SOMETHING SPECIAL THAT I HAVEN'T SHOWN YOU GUYS YET. WE'LL BE USING A SMALL BOAT TO LAND. GREAT! NOW THEN," while Usopp notes the paddle wheel details. Franky explains the five channels and their functions, laughing, "UHA HA HA. THEY'RE SO SPECIAL THAT I KEPT THEM SECRET." Mini Merry II launches from the dock amid massive splashes and cheers. The crew shouts, "GYAAAAH, MERRRY!!!", "WUUOOH!! MERRRY!!!", "IT'S A 'PADDLE STEAMER' FOR FOUR PEOPLE!!!", and "MINI MERRY II!!!" with large SFX "うおおおお!!" and "ばっ". Nami, Usopp, and Chopper react with joy: "YAAAY, IT'S SMALL, BUT WE CAN RIDE MERRY AGAIN!!", "THANK YOU, FRANKY!!!", "I NEVER THOUGHT YOU WOULD BE HIDING SUCH A NICE LITTLE PRESENT!!!", and "IT'S MERRY! SCOUTING SUBMARINE: 'SHARK SUBMERGE III'!!!", and "CHANNEL 0!!! 'ASSISTANCE PADDLE WHEEL'!!!". He notes, "I SHOWED YOU '1' AND '3' BEFORE, SO NOW ALL THE SYSTEMS ARE READY." Franky explains, "FOR NOW, THAT'S IT FOR THE 'SOLDIER DOCK SYSTEM'!! EACH CHANNEL CAN BE CONSIDERED AS A SUPPORTING SYSTEM FOR THE 'THOUSAND SUNNY', OUR MOTHER SHIP. I MIGHT PUT SOME WEAPONS IN IT. BUT DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS DURING OUR TRIP, CHANNEL 4 IS STILL EMPTY." Luffy cheers, "SUPER!!!" as Franky flexes. Sanji calls out, "HEY, NAMI-SAN AND THE OTHERS ARE TAKING SO LONG." Franky boasts, "YEAH, I'M THE BEST THERE IS THIS WEEK. NMMMMM..." Luffy agrees, "I LOVE YOU THE WAY YOU THINK, FRANKY!!!" with impact SFX.

The crew sails Mini Merry II toward a foggy, ruined island with a massive chained gate and towers. A piercing scream echoes, "KYAAA AAAAA AAAAH!!!!" with SFX "ガコン!!" and "ギャアア". Luffy reacts, "EH!!I" Nami stares into the fog, saying, "IT CAME FROM THE ISLAND. I CAN'T SEE A THING BECAUSE OF THIS FOG. WHAT HAPPENEDI" Usopp panics, "YOU GUUUYS!!!" as Sanji shouts, "WHA- WHAT'S GOING ON!!!" and "NAMI-SAAAN!!I" Luffy yells, "NA-". Robin notes, "THAT SCREAM JUST NOW... WERE THEY CURSED OR KILLED BY GHOSTS...I" Franky warns, "AND YOUI YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT THE OTHER TWO AS WELL." Luffy demands, "WHAT ARE YOU SAYING!!! YOU SHOULD WORRY ABOUT NAMI-SAN!!!!" while grabbing his head. Sanji urges, "HURRY UP AND LET ME RIDE MERRY!!!" as Brook calls, "HEEEEY!!!" and someone suggests bringing the ship closer if needed.

On the deck of the ship, Luffy stares in shock as the anchor suddenly drops with a loud impact. "EH!I" "!I" "THE ANCHOR JUST DROPPED!!!" Sanji stands nearby, equally surprised. A mechanical sound echoes as gears turn: "GARO..." and "SHURURURU..." followed by heavy impacts. Sanji leaps into action, striking the ground near the anchor hole with a powerful kick that creates a crater: "BANG!!!" He shouts, "ANYWAY, RAISE THE ANCHOR AGAIN, OR THE SHIP WILL LOSE ITS BALANCE!!" while others react: "...!I THERE'S NO WAY THE COG-WHEEL COULD BE LOOSE, IT'S BRAND NEW...!" "NO ONE TOUCHED IT THOUGH!!!" Luffy peers down at the open hatch in confusion, sweat dropping: "HRMI" "...!I HUHI THE HATCH OPENED BY ITSELF!I" "... DID ANYONE TOUCH IT!I" A voice answers firmly, "NO... NO ONE WAS EVEN NEAR IT." Everyone looks around warily as strange sounds continue.

Luffy stretches his mouth comically while arguing with Sanji: "NO, IT'S NOT THAT!!!" "NOH, ISS NOH HAT!!!" "I DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!!!" "AH HIHINT HUU ANYHIN!!!" Sanji yells back, "YOU DIDN'T DO ANYTHING!I THEN WHAT'S WITH THAT MOUTH!I" and "HEY, LUFFY!! WHY ARE YOU JOKING AROUND AT A TIME LIKE THIS!!!I" Luffy stands with his face comically flattened: "NMMI" Tension rises as Sanji and another crew member clash violently. Sanji is sent flying with a powerful strike: "UWAAH!!!" "GRRR..." Impact sounds ring out: "ZUBAAA!!" "BACHIN!!!" "BHA!!" Zoro appears mid-action with his swords, reacting with "HRMM!!I" A woman watches in alarm as an animal-like sound echoes: "AN ANIMAL SOUND...!I"

Chaos erupts on deck as Sanji clashes with an unseen attacker: "HEY!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!I" "WATCH OUT, STRAW-HAT!!!" Sanji apologizes mid-fight, "SORRY!!! MY KATANA JUST...!!!!" while striking with "ZAKU!!!" The attacker grunts "GHEH!!" Below deck, the crew scans the area. Luffy wonders aloud, "... IS SOMEONE ELSE... OTHER THAN US... ON THIS DECK...!I" Nami replies, "STRANGE..." A beastly howl is recalled: "A BEAST!I" "... AND I HEARD A BESTIAL HOWL EARLIER." Luffy grins nervously, "...!!! I DID FEEL SOMETHING TOUCHING ME." Sanji growls, "IS THIS A GHOST'S DOING...I OR IS IT A DEVIL FRUIT USER OR SOMETHING...I"

Sanji leaps dramatically from the ship toward the island: "I'M GOING TO THE ISLAND TO SAVE THEM!!!" He lands with force: "DANG!!!" and declares, "SHIT!! ANYWAY, ALTHOUGH THIS PLACE SURE IS WEIRD, I'M MORE WORRIED ABOUT NAMI-SAN AND THE OTHERS...!!!! I'LL LEAVE THE SHIP TO YOU GUYS!!" On the ship, massive impacts shake the structure: "BITAAN!!!" "GASH!!!" "GASH!!!" Luffy reacts in panic: "EEEH!I HOW LAME!!!" "HOGE EEH!!!" Crew members shout, "KU...!!!" "HEY, SANJI!!!" "WHAT WAS THAT JUST NOW, DAMNIT!!!" "DWAH!!!" Luffy stares upward as Sanji is seen floating strangely: "UWAH!!! SANJI'S FLOATING." "WHAT'S GOING ON!!!I"

On the deck of the Going Merry, Sanji glares and says, "IF THEY WANT TO KILL US, THEY CAN ATTACK US, OR SOMETHING." Zoro sweats, replying, "I DON'T UNDERSTAND THEIR INTENTION..." A voice questions, "... THEY DON'T WANT US TO LEAVE THE SHIP...!I" Sanji snaps, "SHUT UP!!! YOU SHOULD BE IN THIS SITUATION!!!" while pointing at Usopp, who whimpers, "YOU SAID 'HOGEEEH.'" Below deck, something grabs Robin from behind; she cries out, "AH!" as Nami shouts, "WHAT'S HAPPENING, ROBIN-CHAN!I" Robin struggles, ".....! SOMETHING'S... GRABBING ME!!!" while Usopp yells, "DAMN YOU BASTARD, DOING WHATEVER YOU WANT!!II" Robin manages to break free with a glowing hand, exclaiming "LUCKY!" as the ship rocks violently. The Merry is tossed by massive waves toward a towering castle on a rocky island. Usopp panics, "I REALLY HEAR A BESTIAL HOWL!!!" and screams, "COULD IT BE BEAST GHOSTS!!II" amid the roaring SFX of the storm.

Zoro barks orders, "HEY, 'HOGEEEH,' RAISE THE ANCHOR SO WE CAN CONTROL THE SHIP!!!" Usopp retorts, "DON'T CALL ME HOGEEEH, PUNK!!!" Robin reassures from the railing, "HAA... I'M FINE, IT DISAPPEARED...!!" as the crew stares at the massive artificial waves crashing from the island walls. The ship is being pulled toward the towering castle. Franky is urged, "HEY, FRANKY, DO SOMETHING WITH THE SHIP'S SECRET WEAPONS!!!" while the others shout, "BUT WE CAN'T LEAVE NAMI-SAN AND THE OTHERS!!!" and "USOPP, CHOPPER, SAY SOMETHING!!!" Franky replies that they have the projecting surprise swimming pool. The Merry is dragged closer to the fortress walls as chains and waves batter it. In the final wide panel the ship approaches the eerie, multi-towered castle perched on the rocky shore.

Nami exclaims, "WE'RE NOW INSIDE THE GHOST ISLAND...!!" as the crew realizes they fell from the cliff above. Usopp measures, "6.7 METERS...!!" and declares, "IT'S A MIRACLE WE'RE ALIVE." They have landed at the bottom of a deep moat filled with bamboo spears and skeletons. Usopp panics, "WHERE ARE WE!I WHAT HAPPENED TO US...!I" and screams "HIEEEEEK!!!" when a skeleton moves. The group argues about the trap, with Usopp insisting, "MAYBE THIS IS AN ENEMY TRAP. WE'RE LUCKY THAT THIS MOAT ISN'T FILLED WITH BAMBOO SPEARS." Sanji apologizes to Nami, "IT'S 100% MY FAULT, BUT I'M SO CUTE SO YOU'LL FORGIVE ME, RIGHTI" while Nami glares and threatens, "I COULD HIT YOU RIGHT NOW!!!" The skeletons and spears surround them in the shadowy moat.

The crew debates their next move inside the moat. Nami asks, "HOW ABOUT WE GO BACK TO THE SHORE AND JUST WAIT FOR THEMI" Usopp warns, "THAT'S TRUE. IT'S DANGEROUS HERE AND DIFFICULT TO BE SPOTTED." Zoro adds, "BUT THIS IS BELOW SEA LEVEL, SO I'M A LITTLE SCARED." Sanji concludes, "SO IF WE STAY HERE, LUFFY AND THE OTHERS WILL SURELY FIND US." They notice strange sounds and a pair of glowing eyes. A voice questions, "A DOGI" Suddenly a massive stitched Cerberus-like zombie dog with three heads bursts through the wall, growling "GARR RR..." and "GRRR RR...." The creature towers over the skeletons, jaws open and drooling, as the crew stares in shock with "!!!I" effects filling the panel.

A massive explosion erupts as the three-headed Cerberus lunges forward with a thunderous "KOOO OON!!" and "WOW!! BOW!!". Usopp screams "EEE EEH!!!I" while a woman cries out in terror. The beast's heads roar "KIIII!!" as smoke and impact lines fill the air. Someone yells "THEN WE'RE SURELY IN HELL!!" and "ISN'T HE THE GUARDIAN OF HADES' GATE!!!I". The group flees desperately, with one shouting "OFF COURSE, IT'S RIGHT BEHIND US!!!I" and another noting "C-C-CER... CER-BERUS... EXISTS!!!". A fox-like figure darts away amid "KOOO OON!!" blasts. The panicked crew realizes "IF WE STOP, WE'LL BE EATEN, SO KEEP RUNNING!!!" as Cerberus snaps its jaws with "......!!!" and more explosive "BOW!! WOW!!" effects chase them through the ruins.

The group spots "A STAIRCASE!!!" leading upward, shouting "WE CAN GET TO THE SURFACE LEVEL!!" and "HAA HAA". Cerberus grows more enraged, bellowing "GOOON!!!" and "WOW!! BOW!!" as the beast's heads snap "YOU MADE IT ANGRY!!!". They note "THAT AGGRAVATED HIM!!!I HE STARTED TO SAY 'GOOON' INSTEAD!!!". Escaping into the forest, they hear distant "GARR RR..." and "GOOO OON!!" from wild dogs. Usopp observes "THEY'RE GONE FOR NOW..." while Nami warns "FOR DOGS, THEIR NOSE DOESN'T SEEM TO WORK THAT WELL". The crew debates hiding, with one saying "IF SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS WANDERING AROUND, IT'S PRETTY RISKY..." and another replying "WHAT SHOULD WE DOI WE'VE GOTTEN A BIT TOO DEEP INTO THIS FOREST...". A massive stitched wolf looms with "......!!!".

A stitched creature named Hildon appears, explaining "SO I THOUGHT YOU MIGHT BE HELPLESS. THAT'S WHY I APPROACHED YOU FROM BEHIND..." and "I SAW WILD DOGS CHASING AFTER YOU." He introduces himself: "I AM... HILDON." The terrified group screams "GYAAAH!! WHO ARE YOU!!!I". Hildon offers "PLEASE JOIN ME ON MY CARRIAGE; WE'LL GO TO MY MANSION..." and warns "IF YOU DON'T MIND... IT'LL CHANGE INTO THE MOST DANGEROUS FOREST YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE...". A horse-drawn gothic carriage waits nearby. Chopper reacts in shock "HOGBACK!!I" while another figure mutters "EH..." and a voice states "DOCTOR HOGBACK'S MANSION...".
