Across Totto Land, panic spreads over what happened to Big Mom, Bege, and the cake. A voice calls, "Big brother Perossss!!" and begs, "Please respond!!! What happened to Mama!? What about Bege!? And what about the cake!?" At sea on Big Mom's side, Bavarois reports to Mont-d'Or and Perospero that they have not lost sight of the Straw Hats, but the situation near Puffs Island is just as chaotic. The news is worse than Cacao Island: Chiffon and Bege have finally dropped off the cake. Perospero, weak from leaving his wound untreated for so long, is told that now is not the time to worry about that. He demands the situation be left to him, while the others fear the cake's taste will decide everything.

The wedding cake sits on Puffs Island, and Perospero announces, "The cake is now on Puffs Island!! Perorin." He says that in just a few minutes everything will be decided, because there is no way to stop Big Mom anymore. Even if the cake is laced with deadly poison, three outcomes remain. First, Mama may die from being poisoned, which would mean the end of the Big Mom Pirates. Second, the poison might fail, but the cake may taste bad, in which case Mama's tantrum will not stop and she will keep destroying the country. Third, the poison might fail and the cake might be delicious. Perospero calls that miraculous situation the only one in which they will all survive. The entire fate of Totto Land now rests on whether Sanji's cake can satisfy Big Mom.

Perospero steels himself and tells everyone, "Prepare yourselves!! The taste of that cake will decide our fates!!" The news has already spread through the country. Citizens ask, "What is going to happen to Totto Land?" and the answer comes back that Mama can no longer discern anything. Reports say Nuts Island has been destroyed, and people cry, "No way..." Others notice that Morgans and Stussy have already left the island, while someone curses, "What did you saaaay!!?" Even towns that were not directly attacked now wait in fear. Perospero's warning has become public knowledge: the country will either be saved by the cake or dragged down by Big Mom's hunger.

The fear spreads through Nuts Island, Cutlery Island, and Pori Pori Island. Soldiers order, "Capture them!! If we let them escape, news of this incident will leak to the outside world!!" and add, "Especially the journalist!! He must not escape!!" Citizens remember that the Queen herself is the one destroying everything, even though they gave up their lifespans to live in a territory protected by a Yonko. They complain that this hopeless master spent so many days creating the cake Mama is drooling over. Others insist that even if Lady Pudding helped, there is no way a cake like that could be remade in just a few hours. The whole country is forced to watch the impossible result of Sanji, Pudding, and Chiffon's work.

On Ice Island, Sherbet Town hears that Mama is at Puffs Island right now, and the order is, "Make preparations to escape!!" In Fluffy Town on Puffs Island, people scream for Chiffon: "Lady Chiffoooonnn!! Why did you bring the cake to this town!?" They fear the town will be destroyed just like Nuts Island was, and someone says Lady Chiffon has been corrupted by that traitor Bege. Chiffon stands by the decision, panting, "It's because... I believe... in that cake!!" She says she does not know where Black Leg learned to cook, but his culinary abilities surpass even those of the head chef. This page clarifies Chiffon's faith: she is not gambling on Bege or herself, but on Sanji's cake being powerful enough to stop Big Mom.

Bege urges Chiffon to escape with him, saying, "Let's escape, Chiffon!! Whether this country is saved or not doesn't matter to us!!" The Fire Tank Pirates insist, "We've already fulfilled our duty!!" and report that the Nostra Castello has been destroyed already. Big Mom, still crazed, roars after the cake and screams, "Weddiiinnnggg..." while cursing, "Those damn Straw Hats...!! If they die after all we've done... I'll never forgive them!!" The scene then cuts to the coast of Cacao Island, where reports shout that Straw Hat and Black Leg escaped toward the sea. Big Mom's fury and the Straw Hats' escape now run in parallel: one crisis depends on the cake, the other on the Sunny breaking through the blockade.

Sanji reaches the Sunny with Luffy. The crew screams, "Luffyyyyyyyy!!!" and someone cries, "I'm so glad you're okay...!!!" Luffy, battered and exhausted, starts to answer, "...Y... you..." and then slumps as Chopper rushes into doctor mode. Chopper orders, "Chopper-san, please attend to him immediately!! This is already the limit of how much blood he can lose!!" Sanji tells Luffy, "Your wounds are still fresh," while Chopper says, "Got it!!" Luffy tries to brush it off and says, "You guys... I got tired of waiting for you guys...!!" Nami snaps back, "Don't lie!!" while Brook asks to examine him too. The reunion is emotional, but no one has time to relax; Luffy's condition is severe and the enemy fleet is still around them.

The Sunny surges through rough water while the crew feels brief relief. Nami says, "Good, we're finally able to hit them." But the danger returns instantly. Before they could even notice, the enemy ships caught up with them, and Jinbe warns, "We're not out of this yet!! Do the treatment while we make our getaway!!" The Big Mom Pirates open fire, shouting, "Fire!!!" Cannon blasts explode around the Sunny, and Judge notices Germa's situation with a bitter look, saying, "Damn you... Judge..." The ship is moving again with Luffy aboard, but the enemy has not lost them. The escape has shifted from getting Luffy back to surviving the naval blockade.

The enemy decides to ignore Germa for the moment. One commander asks, "Shall we attack them too?! Germa is backing them up!!" but the order is clear: "No, ignore them!! Germa is primarily fighting with the fleet at the port!!" The focus must remain on the Straw Hats at sea. Judge, watching from Germa's side, questions Luffy directly: "Straw Hat Luffy!? Why do you care so much about that..." He calls Sanji a failure and asks whether Luffy really risked his life just to take back one person in Big Mom's Yonko territory, a place where escape is impossible once entered. Judge continues tearing Sanji down for Luffy to hear. He calls Sanji "Germa's failure," says he cannot use his skin as a shield, and says all he does is cook. Luffy listens, confused rather than impressed by the insult. He turns to Sanji and says, "See ya!! Thanks for the help!!" Judge demands, "How about you answer me!? Straw Haaat!!!" Luffy's answer is indirect but devastating: Judge listed Sanji's compassion, cooking, lack of cruelty, and willingness to protect people as flaws, while Luffy hears them as the reasons Sanji matters.

The Sunny's crew reacts to Judge's rant. Jinbe laughs, "Wahaha haha!! You guys are the best," while Sanji angrily protests, "That's not what he was doing!!" Luffy asks, "Wha?" and Nami points out, "That was surprising. Why was he listing out all the good things about you?" Sanji is left flustered. Then Nami sees the sea ahead and cries, "Nami!! Look ahead in front of us!!" Carrot realizes the danger too: "Gyaaaaahh!! This is bad!" The Grand Fleet is right in front of them, and the crew panics, "Uwaaaahhh!! When did they...!?" The brief joke about Judge's insult ends immediately as the Sunny runs into the next problem: the main fleet has appeared directly in their path.

The scale of the trap becomes clear. Sanji says, "It looks like they finally noticed..." and someone warns, "There's an unbelievable number of ships...!!" Nami checks the map and realizes the idle fleet has been able to circle around them. She cries, "What should we do...!? We're going to be pincered again!!" A cannon order rings out: "Fire!!!" The enemy announces, "We're going to be trapped!!" and Nami sees the geometry of the encirclement: the Sunny has entered their firing range, with enemies surrounding them from the front and the back. A commander taunts, "That's right... We've surrounded you from the front and the back!! You damn rabbit!!" Carrot is called out as the fleet closes in.

Daifuku joins the trap from the front gate with his genie, while the fleet blocks the back gate. Someone cries, "At the front gate, a fleet. And at the back gate, a genie!!!" Daifuku's genie crashes down near the Sunny, and the crew screams as the huge attack lands. Daifuku laughs and says, "...You've finally entered the range of my ability!!" Nami mutters, "Doing this makes us look like we're bullying them," but the danger is real. The Sunny is caught between ships, cannon fire, and the giant genie swinging from Daifuku's power. Even after surviving Cacao Island and recovering Luffy, the Straw Hats have been maneuvered into a naval kill zone.

The crew realizes too late how quickly the paddle ships closed in. Nami asks, "How did they get this close to us so quickly!?" and the answer comes from the front: "Look at the ships in the front!! They're all paddle ships!!!" The ships churn through the sea with far greater speed than expected, and the Sunny is nearly surrounded. Someone says, "I guess this is it...!! We were able to barely survive until this point, but...!!" Another says there is no way they can escape from all of them. Then the sea itself begins swelling. The crew stares in alarm: "What!? The surface of the sea is swelling up..." Big Mom's side also sees it, and a voice says, "I won't forgive... anyone whooo..." The ocean bulges under the ships, signaling something enormous rising beneath them.

A massive figure bursts up from under the sea and shouts, "Gives the boss any troubleeee!!!" The rising wave throws ships and enemies into chaos. The crew recognizes him: "Wadatsumi!!!" and someone says he was a member of Hody's crew on Fishman Island. The Sun Pirates arrive with him, calling, "We came to see you offffffff!!! Captain Jinbeeeee!!!" They declare, "We're still gonna be your subordinates until you make it out of Big Mom's territory, alright?" and call Jinbe their former captain. The page ends with the Sun Pirates and Wadatsumi breaking the encirclement at sea, giving the Sunny a new chance to escape. A note announces that backup has arrived from the sea and that the 900th chapter will begin next issue with a leading cover page.
