A crowd gathers, sweat flying as they recognize the vessel. "WHAT DO WE DO HEADMAN!!" "HE'S A SCOUNDREL WHOSE NAME IS BECOMING WELL KNOWN RECENTLY" "IT'S HEADING TOWARDS THIS VILLAGE!!" One man clutches his head in despair. "IS IT JUST REPEATING HISTORY. IT'S UNBEARABLE TO HAVE TO KEEP GIVING UP OUR MONEY" "BUT OPPOSING THEM IS TOO RECKLESS....!" Another argues, "BUT...!! HANDING OVER OUR GOODS TO PROTECT THE VILLAGE" while the headman with glasses concludes grimly, "I BELIEVE HANDING OVER OUR VALUABLES IS THE SAFEST OPTION, BUT...!" "IF THIS IS THEIR AIM,... The Crescent Moon Gyaru pirate ship crashes violently into the dock with massive impact SFX "BAN!!" and "VIOLENT ENTRANCE". Its tattered sail and jolly roger flag are visible. Townspeople peer from windows and doorways in fear. "SEEMS LIKE... A GHOST TOWN" one mutters. Close-up reveals the skull-and-crescent-moon jolly roger. An old man with glasses whispers, "WHY IS THERE ONLY ONE PERSON COMING OUT...I" Shiruku watches intently from cover, thinking "HUH. I THOUGHT HE'D LOOK TOUGHER" as onlookers recognize the figure: "IT MUST BE THAT HAT. I CAN SEE IT ON HIM" "ISN'T CRESCENT MOON KNOWN FOR HIS BEARDI" "I SEE! IT'S TRUE...CRESCENT MOON'S HAT" "HE'S HERE...!!" "THAT'S CRESCENT MOON GYARI!I"

Monkey D. Luffy stands tall on the ship's deck, one hand on his straw hat, stomach growling. "FIGHTING PEOPLE MADE ME HUNGRY" he says. A voice replies, "MAH, THERE ARE FOOD STORES". Below on the deck, the defeated Crescent Moon Gyaru pirate captain lies sprawled among his battered crew. Luffy peers down in surprise. The captain roars up at him, "BASTARD!!! JUST WHO DO YOU THINK I AM!!! DON'T THINK YOU'LL GET AWAY WITH THIS!!!" Broken planks and scattered pirates litter the scene as Luffy's arrival disrupts the ship.

Crescent Moon Gyari looms in the foreground, roaring in denial with his massive frame shaking the dock. "I DIDN'T LOSE!!! AS IF I COULD LOSE, IDIOT!!!" he bellows while a second voice from his side adds, "I JUST LET DOWN MY GUARD!! I LOST BECAUSE MY GUARD WAS DOWN!!! WAIT, WHAT!I" A nameplate identifies him as MIKAZUKI NO GYARI (CRESCENT MOON GYARI). In the lower panels, Monkey D. Luffy stands on the wooden pier facing the defeated pirate, sweat on his face. "WEIRD BEARD," Luffy mutters. "RIGHTI" A voice retorts, "WHO'S THE ONE PICKING A FIGHT!!" Luffy fires back, "ALL THE PIRATES UP TO NOW DID THE SAME THING." Gyari, now standing farther back on the pier with his back turned, explains, "I WASN'T PLANNING ON FIGHTING. YOU GUY STARTED ATTACKING ME, REMEMBERI" He continues, "I HEARD A RUMOR THAT THERE WAS A GUY GOING AROUND TAKING OVER PIRATE SHIPS BUT..." Luffy demands, "WHAT GRUDGE DO YOU HAVE AGAINST US TO DO SUCH CRAP!!"

On the pier, Gyari's face twists in fury as he shouts, "YOU HAVE ANGERED A PERSON NO ONE IN THE WORLD WANTS TO MAKE AN ENEMY OF - THE MAN WHO WILL ENTER THE 'BEST 3,' GYARI..." A small panel shows Luffy's shocked reaction with SFX *BONK* and *HUFF!*. Gyari lunges forward, yelling "I'LL KILL HIM!!!" with motion lines and impact effects. The scene shifts to a quiet cobblestone street in the village. Gyari walks ahead, thinking, "IF THEY GOT OUT HERE AND STARTED RAMPAGING ABOUT, IT'D SEEM LIKE I BROUGHT THEM HERE." He notes, "THIS IS A QUIET VILLAGE, HUH..." and declares, "I'LL GET THOSE GUYS FREE SOMEWHERE FAR AWAY OUT AT SEA." An older man with a stern face sweats and says, "WE'LL LISTEN TO YOUR DEMANDS." He introduces himself: "I AM THIS VILLAGE'S HEADMAN!" Luffy, surprised, replies, "OH, HI. YOU HAVE A STRANGE HEAD, HUHI" with a small "WAH" reaction.

The headman reacts with shock, SFX *NAH* and *!!!!*, realizing "SHIRIKU IS IN THAT SHOP!!" Luffy points and asks, "RIGHT THIS WAY! WHERE CAN I GET FOODI" Inside the restaurant, a young woman with pigtails smiles while holding a fork. A waiter greets, "WELCOME," and the headman calls, "HEY." Luffy stands at the counter looking around. Suddenly the woman lunges forward with a powerful kick, SFX *WHOOSH* and *UHO*, shouting "PREPARE YOURSELF, PIRATE!!!" Luffy yelps "WAH" as she attacks. In the side panels she says, "WAIT, I'M NOT A PIRATE" and "NOT YET, ANYWAY" while Luffy reacts with "EHI" and "BHI"

At the table, Luffy devours food with wild abandon, SFX *MUNCH MUNCH*, exclaiming "AH, THIS IS GROSS!! THIS IS GOOD!! THIS TOO, BUT THIS ONE'S GROSS." The young woman with pigtails watches and comments, "NO WONDER, I THOUGHT YOU LOOKED WEAK. YOU DON'T HAVE A WEAPON EITHER." Luffy, mouth full, declares, "VIOLENT PIRATES WHO JUST PILLAGE AND LOOT ARE CALLED 'MORGANA.' THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF PIRATES." He continues, "PEACE MAINS FIGHT THOSE GUYS AND GO ON ADVENTURES." The woman asks, "PEACE MAINI" Luffy leans in close, eyes sparkling, and states firmly, "I'M GOING TO BECOME A PEACE MAIN." She replies, "I'M NOT AN ALLY OF JUSTICE OR ANYTHING" and "I DON'T REALLY MIND." Luffy adds, "AND SAIL WITH THEM, BUT THERE ARE SO MANY MORGANA PIRATES IN THE WORLD... EITHER ONE WILL JUST WIND UP PLUNDERING IN THE END, WON'T THEYI" She concludes, "THAT'S WHY I WANT TO MAKE A CREW OF PEACE MAINS."

Luffy smiles while holding his straw hat and tells the girl, "IT'S MY TREASURE, BUT IT DOESN'T BELONG TO ME." The girl asks, "DO YOU HAVE A TREASUREI" Shanks laughs heartily with a wide grin, declaring, "NOT BEING ABLE TO SWIM IS A HUGE WEAKNESS TO A PIRATE!! AS IF YOU COULD BECOME A PIRATE!!" He continues, "HAHAHAHA LUFFY! SOME PEACE MAINS USED THE TOWN I CAME FROM AS A BASE A LONG TIME AGO." The Red Hair Pirates crew cheers on the deck: "ABOVE ALL ELSE, IT'S FREEDOM!!" "THE SEA IS BIG AND VAST!! THERE ARE SO MANY ISLANDS TO VENTURE TO!" "LUFFY!! BEING A PIRATE IS FUN!" Shanks tells Luffy, "SURE, WHEN YOU ARE TEN YEARS OLDER. SO TAKE ME WITH YOU ON YOUR NEXT JOURNEY!! BESIDES, IN THAT TIME I'LL LEARN HOW TO SWIM! IT'S FINE AS LONG AS I DON'T FALL OFF THE SHIP!" Luffy stands on the dock looking up at the ship.

Shanks speaks seriously to Luffy: "LISTEN, LUFFY. YOU SAY YOU LOVE THE SEA AND ADVENTURE, AND I VALUE THAT SPIRIT. YOU HAVE A STRONG WILL TO BE WILLING TO GO OUT TO SEA IN A SHIP EVERY DAY DESPITE BEING A HAMMER." The crew reacts with shock and anger as one member says, "CAPTAIN SHANKS, WITHOUT THAT WE WOULDN'T HAVE DREAMS, RIGHTI BUT IN EXCHANGE FOR THAT FREEDOM YOU RISK YOUR LIFE!" Luffy stares at a strange fruit in his hand and asks, "WHAT IS THISI" Shanks explains with a grin, "NO ONE STOLE ME FROM AN ENEMY SHIP! THE FRUIT FROM THE ILLUSION TREE THAT BEARS FRUIT AT MOST EVERY 50 YEARS!! O!! YOU! ISN'T THAT THE 'GOMU GOMU' FRUIT!!" Luffy bites into it. The crew panics: "NO WAY!!!" "EEEE-EEEH!!!" "YOU IDIOT!!!" Shanks yells desperately, "NO MATTER HOW HARD YOU PRACTICE, YOU'LL BE A HAMMER FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!! EATING THAT MAKES YOU UNABLE TO SWIM!! FOR-EVER!!! ENTERING THE WATER MAKES YOU LOSE YOUR ENERGY!!" Luffy smiles and replies, "GOMU GOMU FRUITI...WEIRD!! TOO BAD, I GUESS I ATE THE FRUIT FROM THE ILLUSION TREE."

Luffy rows a small boat away from shore, thinking confidently, "IF I'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO SWIM, THEN I'LL JUST HAVE TO NEVER FALL OVERBOARD. NO MATTER WHAT, I'M GOING TO BECOME A PIRATE AND LIVE FREELY." He rows with determination as SFX show "GIKO GIKO" and "CRUNCH". Suddenly a massive Sea King emerges from the water with jaws open wide. Luffy cries out "AH!" as the creature smashes the boat to splinters. The Sea King lunges with its enormous mouth, and Luffy screams in terror, "UWAAAAAH SOMEONE HELP ME!!! I CAN'T SWIM" while thrashing in the water amid debris and massive splashes.

Shanks appears in the water between Luffy and the Sea King, glaring fiercely as the monster looms with jaws agape. Shanks shouts "SCRAM" while staring down the beast. The Sea King bites down hard on Shanks' left arm. Luffy stares in horror, tears streaming, and screams, "SHANKS!!! YOUR ARM!!!!" Shanks stands firm in the surf, bloodied and intense, as the Sea King recoils. The creature flees with a massive splash while Shanks remains standing protectively in front of the boy.

Shanks lies in shallow water cradling the battered young Luffy. Blood streams down Shanks' face as he smiles and says, "IT'S NO BIG DEAL." Luffy, face pressed to the ground and crying, shouts, "JUST ONE ARM..." Massive onomatopoeia "U W A A A A A N" and "あ あ あ あ" fill the panel. In close-up, Shanks gently tells the sobbing boy, "I'M GLAD YOU'RE SAFE." The scene shifts to the village square where an excited crowd gathers. A man in a straw hat yells "NO WAY" and "THEN TAKE ME WITH YOU!" while villagers murmur "WE STAYED HERE FOR QUITE A WHILE. IT'S ABOUT TIME WE LEAVE," "YEAH," and "IS IT TRUE YOU'RE NOT COMING BACK AFTER YOU SET OUT THIS TIME!I" SFX: *EXCITED CROWD*.

Young Luffy stands on the dock and roars, "SOME DAY, I'LL DEFINITELY BECOME A PIRATE!!" Shanks laughs in his face, "THERE IS NO WAY YOU COULD BECOME A PIRATE!!" Luffy clenches his teeth and declares, "EVEN THOUGH I'LL ALWAYS BE A HAMMER!! I WILL" Shanks places his straw hat on Luffy's head and says, "THIS HAT... I'LL LEND YOU." He smiles and adds, "COME AND RETURN IT SOME DAY. IT'S MY TREASURED HAT." Luffy looks up in awe, replying, "AS A GREAT PIRATE."

Inside the bar, a villager tells Luffy, "HE'S A LEGENDARY PIRATE. EVEN I KNOW OF HIM" and "HE HAS THREE SCARS ON HIS FACE, 'RED HAIR SHANKS'." Luffy asks, "EH...HOW DID YOU KNOW THE COLOR OF HIS HAIRI" and "IS THAT 'RED HAIR SHANKS'I" Another patron adds, "AND IT'S TRUE, I HAVEN'T HEARD ANY BAD RUMORS ABOUT HIM." Luffy slams his mug down and shouts, "I WANT TO BECOME THAT KIND OF PIRATE AS WELL!!" Makino smiles behind the counter and replies, "OH, SO HE'S WELL KNOWNI" Luffy sits on a barrel asking, "A PIRATE'S CHILD" and "A PIRATE'S ABANDONED CHILD," while Makino answers, "EH" and "I'M ACTUALLY" with a soft "CLINK."

A burly pirate captain in a tricorn hat laughs uproariously, "GA HA HA HA HA! AS IF THAT SMALL AMOUNT OF ROPE WAS TOO MUCH TO CUT!!! EVEN THOUGH THEY WERE MY SUBORDINATES." He boasts, "THEY GOT SURPRISED AND GOT BEATEN BY A SINGLE BRAT!!" and "THEY ARE ALL GYARI'S CREW!!" His crew explains, "BEFORE WE DROPPED OUR GUARD, THE CREW WAS BURDEN-SOME" and "THAT'S WHY WE WERE DEFEATED." The captain grins, "I HEARD A RUMOR HE'S A HAMMER." The bandits draw pistols, shouting "YEAH," "ALRIGHT, LET'S GO!" "JUST TO BE SAFE," "THESE PISTOLS ARE," "NO ONE!!" and "IS THERE ANYONE WHO CAN RIVAL US!I OUR SABERS HAVE SCARED EVEN THE KNIGHTS OF MANY COUNTRIES!!" SFX: DON!, KACHA...!!*, STOMP STOMP.

In a quiet village street, a young woman with long hair reflects on her past. "YOU'D THINK THEY WOULDN'T FEEL ANY NEED TO PITY SUCH A CHILD BUT... THEY MAY HAVE HELD A GRUDGE..." she thinks, recalling being left behind as a baby by pirates who ravaged the village. "I'M THE CHILD OF THE PIRATES THAT RAVAGED THIS VILLAGE. IN THE PAST, SOME PIRATES RAIDED THIS VILLAGE AND LEFT ME BEHIND AS A BABY." She smiles faintly. Nearby, Luffy sits at a table with her. "HMMM!! I DON'T WANT TO SEE THE PEOPLE OF THIS TOWN WITH SAD FACES!!" he declares as she stands up abruptly. "HOH." "AND THEY RAISED ME HERE. THE PEOPLE OF THIS VILLAGE HELD NO SUCH FEELINGS." Townsfolk smile and wave in memory. In close-up she vows, "THERE WERE PIRATES ON THAT SHIP, RIGHT!I EVEN IF I'M ALONE, I'LL FIGHT!! BECAUSE THEY ARE TREASURED PEOPLE TO ME."

The girl walks away down the street as Luffy stands at a food stall. "GYARII" "LISTEN TO ME!!" she snaps. "AH, THANKS FOR THE FOOD. IT WAS GOOD," Luffy replies casually. "YEAH." She turns, eyes wide. "ISN'T HE THE CAPTAIN OF THAT SHIP YOU CAME IN ON! WAS HE REALLY NOT THEREI" Luffy looks surprised. "WHO'S THATI WHAT A WEIRD NAME." In the background the striped-shirt pirate and a fat swordsman confront her. "YOU PISS ME OFF" one growls. "AH. HE DID SAY HIS NAME, DIDN'T HEI EH... GYARII!" The striped pirate roars, "THE MAN WHO CAN MAKE EVEN A CRYING CHILD SHUT UP, GYARI, IS ME!!! I WON'T FORGIVE YOU, YOU INSECT GATHERING BASTARD!!!"

The striped-shirt pirate looms with a massive grin. "AH, HOLD ON. AFTER I KILL THIS GUY, I'LL HELP MYSELF TO ALL THE TREASURE IN THIS TOWN!!" The girl sweats, furious. "CRESCENT MOON GYARII!! THAT'S CORRECT, LITTLE GIRL! ARE YOU SCARED!!" She and Luffy watch the two pirates. "THEY CAME ATTACKING ME FIRST. THAT 'WEIRD MUSTACHE'. JUST WHAT DID YOU DO TO THEMI THEY'RE SO ANGRY!!" Luffy notes, "HE'S HERE. OHHH, YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT HIM... I CAN SEE THAT!! WHAT WERE YOU SAYING! HE'S RIGHT HERE!!" The fat pirate swings his massive sword. "SLICE HIM APART!!!! GO!!!"

Luffy steps forward calmly. "IT'S FINE, I DON'T USE A WEAPON. STAND BACK FOR A SEC." The girl shouts, "YOU COWARDS! ATTACKING AN UNARMED OPPONENT!!" The fat pirate's blade arcs down. Luffy ducks and weaves through the strikes as the striped pirate is sent flying. "EH" the girl gasps. The striped pirate crashes. "YOU GUYS STARTED THIS." Luffy's fist stretches back with a "ビリビリ!!" sound as the fat pirate's sword shatters on impact. "NU" the striped pirate yelps while fleeing. Debris and motion lines fill the chaotic street fight.

A massive impact erupts as a powerful strike lands with a thunderous BUBEN!!!!, sending debris and shockwaves flying. In the lower panels, Luffy stands with his arm extended unnaturally far across the street. A marine in a helmet is hurled backward through the air from the force of the blow. A close-up shows a wide-eyed marine reacting in utter shock with!!!I as the impossible scene unfolds before him.

Luffy grins confidently and declares, "THEY'RE DOWN, HUHI" A young woman stares in disbelief, exclaiming, "WHA... WHAT JUST...!!" and notes, "HIS ARM... STRETCHED." An armored marine yells furiously, "WHERE ARE YOU AIMING!!! WHERE!I AT YOU OF COURSE, IPOT!!! YOU REALLY PISS ME OFF!!! AHHH!!!" Luffy replies calmly, "I TOLD YOU I ATE THE GOMU GOMU FRUIT, RIGHTI SURPRISEDI BECAUSE OF THAT, I..." The marine fires a pistol at point-blank range, shouting "JUST DIE ALREADY!!" as the bullet strikes Luffy with a loud impact.

Onlookers react with wild laughter and screams: "GYAHANANANANAHA!!" and "KYAAAAA!!" Luffy is sent flying backward from the gunshot, his straw hat knocked off his head. He twists in midair before landing. In the next sequence, the marine stares in horror while Luffy stands up unharmed, casually saying "FUHN!!" as the bullet's effect proves useless against him.

The young woman reacts with stunned silence "!!I..." while Luffy remarks, "AHHH THAT SURPRISED ME. PISTOLS DON'T WORK EITHER!!!!" The armored marine panics, shouting "WE'LL REMEMBER THIS, DAMNIT!!!" amid frantic scribbled text. Both the marine and a subordinate scream in terror "AAA AAA AAA AAAH!!!" Luffy stretches his rubbery body dramatically and explains, "IT'S THE TRADE OFF FOR NEVER BEING ABLE TO SWIM. COOL, RIGHTI LIKE I WAS SAYING, MY WHOLE BODY IS RUBBER."

Luffy runs ahead through the town, declaring, "I'LL CATCH THEM." A girl with pigtails watches him go and thinks, "HARD TO BELIEVE..." In the next panel she notes, "A RUBBER MAN..." while Luffy decides, "ANYWAY, I BETTER CATCH THOSE GUYS. IF THEY START DESTROYING THIS TOWN I'LL FEEL BAD AFTERWARDS." The townspeople panic as Luffy approaches, one Marine shouting "GEH!! HE'S COMING AFTER US...!!" and another yelling "DAMN MONSTER!!" Luffy, now tightly bound in ropes with the crescent-moon-haired Helmeppo beside him, grins widely as cheering villagers raise their hands and cry "WE DID IT!!!" "WE PROTECTED THE VILLAGE!!" "WE CAUGHT HIM! CRESCENT MOON GYAR!!!" Luffy reacts with surprise, "WHAT" while the bound pirate simply smiles. Nearby Marines react in shock, one exclaiming "OH, IT'S THAT WEIRD GUY." and another muttering "WAH, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!"

An older man with glasses confronts Luffy, stating, "I SUPPOSE THERE WAS SOME INNER DISPUTE AMONGST YOUR CREW." Luffy retorts with a grin, "AREN'T YOU MAKING A MISTAKEI IT SEEMS HE UNDERESTIMATED US SINCE THIS IS A SMALL VILLAGE!!" The man warns, "DON'T RUN YOUR MOUTH OFF! UNPERS... AND THE POSITION YOU'RE IN!!" A swordsman in a black coat appears, declaring "GOOD JOB, IDIOTS!!" and "THAT'S CORRECT!!" while striking a dramatic pose. Helmeppo panics, shouting "HEAPMAN!! YOU'RE WRONG!! HE'S NOT GYAR!!" and "I'M GYARI. MY MUSTACHE IS A CRESCENT MOON, RIGHTI" The pigtail girl cries out in alarm, "I WAS TOO LATE!" as Luffy smiles and says "PINCH."

The axe-hand Marine captain looms over the fallen pigtail girl and demands, "STILL PLAN ON FIGHTINGI" She lies stunned on the ground as Luffy, still bound, watches tensely. The captain roars, "STOP ALREADY, SHIRUKU!!" while the girl glares fiercely. In the street the captain threatens the gathered villagers, "THIS VILLAGE WILL START TO BECOME EASY PREY FOR PIRATES AGAIN!! BECAUSE THEY'RE TREASURED PEOPLE TO ME." The pigtail girl reacts with wide-eyed shock, "EH" and "WHAT!I" as Luffy glares at the captain. The captain swings his massive axe-hand, yelling "DID YOU SAY SOMETHING!I" Luffy is struck hard, the impact sending him flying while he thinks, "DAMN RUBBER BASTARD!!!" and notes "AHHH, THAT'S SURPRISED ME." The captain stares in disbelief, "!!" as the blow lands.

On the docks, a striped-shirt pirate carries a large sack while a young Luffy in a straw hat and a girl watch nearby. A fat man in a striped outfit laughs, "HA HA HA HA THIS IS A GOOD HAUL!! FOR SUCH A SMALL TOWN ANYWAY." A captain-hatted man growls, "WHAT'S LEFT IS..." Suddenly the captain grabs Luffy by the collar and roars, "THROWING THIS GUY INTO THE SEA!" Luffy snaps back, "AS IF, IDIOT!!! PLEASE SAVE ME." Onlookers debate: "HE WAS DEFINITELY THE FIRST PERSON TO COME OFF THAT SHIP. BUT JUST WHO IS HE... WE WERE SURE HE WAS GYARI... WE'VE DONE SOMETHING BAD TO HIM... I DON'T KNOW EITHER BUT... HE'S NOT A BAD PERSON...!!!"

The captain notices Luffy's straw hat and says, "OH, WHAT'S THISI YOU SEEM TO BE UNSETTLED BECAUSE OF THIS HAT. THAT'S NOT LIKE YOU..." Luffy sweats nervously. The captain replies, "IF IT'S IN SUCH A PLACE, I MIGHT ACCIDENTALLY... OH, I DROPPED IT." Luffy declares passionately, "I WANT TO BECOME THAT KIND OF PIRATE AS WELL! THIS HAT IS MY TREASURE, BUT IT DOESN'T BELONG TO ME." The girl watches with wide eyes as an exclamation mark appears.

The captain's foot hovers over the hat. Luffy screams in rage, "GYAAAAA!!! DON'T STEP ON IT!!!! I SAID DON'T STEP ON IT!!!!!" The captain yells, "PAMNIT!!! I REALLY HATE YOU!!!" Luffy vows, "OKAY!! GYARI, RIGHT!I I REMEMBERED! I'LL KILL YOU IN THE FUTURE!!!!! THROW HIM IN THE OCEAN! HE'S A PEST!!!" The captain stomps, smashing the hat with SFX *CRUSH CRUSH*. Luffy is bound and beaten as the captain shouts, "SMASHING MY HAT WITH YOUR DIRTY FOOT!! ORA ORA ORA!!!" while Luffy endures the assault.

Luffy lies beaten on the ground, tears streaming as he cries, "I'LL KILL YOU!! POSSEI!!! COME AND RETURN IT SOME DAY. IT'S MY TREASURED HAT. EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE HAT I PROMISED TO RETURN...!!! HE SMASHED IT!!!" The captain and onlookers react in shock. Luffy is hurled through the air, SFX *SPLASH* as he hits the water. He surfaces vowing, "DAMN...!! I WON'T FORGIVE THAT GUY!!! SMASHING MY TREASURE!!!" An unidentified voice calls him "AN ANNOYING BASTARD EVEN TIL DEATH."

A flamboyant captain in a bicorne hat laughs wildly atop the deck, arms raised as he bellows, "SET SAIL!!!" while background pirates cheer. SFX: HA HA HA HA HA. On a nearby rooftop, a stern man with glasses snaps at a blonde girl in pigtails, "OI, SHIRUKU, WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO DOI!" The girl glares downward with determination. Far below, a lone sailing ship drifts on calm seas. In the water, the soaked blonde girl clutches an unconscious black-haired boy and shouts upward, "HANG ON, IT'S JUST A BIT FARTHER!!" Nearby townsfolk react in panic: "IF THEY NOTICE HER, SHE'LL GET KILLED!!" and "THAT SHIRUKU, SHE'S REALLY RISKING IT!!" The boy murmurs weakly, "THAT'S!!"

Later, the boy stands on a rooftop overlooking a clock tower and harbor, murmuring, "OKAY, THIS SEEMS ABOUT RIGHT." The girl watches him with concern.

Luffy stretches his arms skyward with immense force, SFX: *STRETCHING* and "MUN!!" His rubber limbs extend dramatically. Below, the blonde girl watches anxiously from the roof. Luffy's arms snap forward like rubber cables, latching onto the distant clock tower. The structure shakes violently under the sudden pull. SFX: stretching impact lines and "SHOOT!!!!" Luffy's face twists into a wild, determined grin as he prepares to launch himself across the town.

Luffy rockets forward at blinding speed, arms fully extended, yelling "WAIT FOR ME!!!!" SFX: GYARI!!! The blonde girl gasps in shock as he flies past. His body inflates into a massive rubber sphere mid-flight, SFX: HAPU and BAFU!!, before deflating with "DEC-ELERATION". He hurtles straight toward a pirate ship in the harbor. SFX: POFU! The crew on deck reacts with alarm, one pointing upward as the ship rocks from the impact. Luffy lands dramatically aboard the vessel.

The Marine captain staggers backward in shock, eyes wide as he blurts, "UOH!I WHAT!!I" A close-up shows Luffy's intense, grinning face filling the panel. "WHAT IS IT!! CAPTAIN...!!!" someone yells. Luffy stands tall on the ship's railing, arms crossed confidently. "IT'S NOT GEH. MY NAME'S LUFFY," he declares with a broad smile. The captain reacts with a loud "GEH!!!" as the impact of the name hits him.

On the deck of the Marine ship, Luffy faces the captain. "I'LL ALSO TAKE BACK THE VILLAGE'S TREASURE," Luffy states. The captain, sweating and furious, shouts, "BASTARD!! WHY ARE YOU ALIVE!!I AND... HOW DID YOU GET ON THIS SHIP!!" Luffy smashes the captain's prized treasure with a casual strike. "YOU SMASHED MY TREASURE." The captain panics, yelling, "YOU DON'T SCARE ME ANYMORE...!! HITTING YOU DOESN'T WORK, SHOOTING YOU DOESN'T WORK, BUT... WHA... WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY, BASTARD...!!!" Luffy smiles and asks, "BY THE WAY, IS YOUR TREASURE THIS SHIPI"

Luffy continues, "SMASH AND SINK YOUR TREASURE. I'LL ALSO..." The Marine captain points and roars orders as the crew panics. "IF IT'S HIM, HE'LL REALLY DO IT!" one sailor cries amid splashing chaos. Luffy raises his hand calmly, "I'LL DO IT." The captain's face twists in rage, "DON'T SAY SUCH RIDICULOUS CRAP!!!...DO!!!...DO!!! IF YOU CAN DO SUCH A THING...!!!" Crew members scream and flee as Luffy prepares his strike.

Luffy leaps high into the air above the ship, arm stretching back for a massive strike. The Marine captain's face fills a panel, screaming desperately, "STOP HIM!! HURRY!!! STOP HIM!!!" A massive wooden sailing ship is violently torn apart in a massive explosion of impact. The vessel splits down the middle, its masts snapping, sails ripping, and wooden planks flying in every direction as the hull is crushed inward. Debris and water spray outward while the ship is driven downward into the sea. Large bold text declares the result: "...TO PIECES!!!"

Straw Hat Luffy roars at full volume, sweat flying, "STRAW HAT!!! LUFFY!!! REMEMBER THIS!!!" A furious man in a dark outfit and hat shouts back from the broken deck, "DON'T YOU FORGET THIS!!! PAIN IT!!!" and "SOME PAY I'LL TO FIND YOU OUT, AND I'LL DEFINI- TELY KILL YOU!!!" Luffy glares and replies, "WHY DO I HAVE TO REMEMBER YOU. FROM THE START TO THE END, YOU'RE THE ONE WHO CAME AND STARTED A FIGHT." The man is hurled backward off the collapsing ship, tumbling through the air with a loud "GEFU!!!" as the wreckage sinks. Luffy mutters, "IT'S A PAIN."

On the shore, a woman in a black top and light skirt watches the distant sinking ship and says, "OH, IT'S SINKING, IT'S SINKING." Nearby, someone notes, "IT'S A GOOD THING MERUHEN GOU WAS ON THAT SHIP. WE ALMOST SUNK TOGETHER." In town, townspeople gather around scattered treasure and goods. One man remarks, "YEAH... THAT KID SAID IT WOULDN'T FIT ON THE MERUHEN SOMETHING..." Another observes, "OI, THIS IS MORE THAN WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM OUR TOWN." IN ANY CASE WE OWE HIM OUR THANKS." A voice asks, "THEN!! JUST WHO WAS HE, THAT GUY..." while another replies, "NULUI"

A short-haired young woman smiles while holding a small object and says, "PEACE MAIN, HUH... SO THERE ARE THOSE KIND OF PIRATES TOO." On the sea, Monkey D. Luffy sits in a small boat with a large sail, grinning widely under his straw hat. He cheers, "PIRATES PIRATES! SINCE THE SAILS INCREASED, IT PICKS UP THE WIND A LOT BETTER..." A massive black pirate ship with a skull-and-crossbones flag sails past, its crew shouting "AHHHH THIS FEELS GOOD..." Luffy looks ahead and muses, "IT'D BE NICE IF THE NEXT ONE IS A PEACE MAIN..."

On the deck of a pirate ship, a crew member points excitedly toward the horizon and shouts, "AN ISLAND! WE'VE SPOTTED AN ISLAND!" Another crewmate calls out, "CAPTAIN! CAPTAIN!" A smiling young man with a straw hat leans against the railing with arms crossed. The captain, wearing a wide-brimmed hat, responds calmly, "YEAH, THEN...LET'S LAND."
