Luffy grins fiercely in close-up, sweat flying. In a chaotic town square, panicked citizens flee as debris flies. One shouts, "LEAVE THE TOWN NOOO OOOOOOOW!!!" Another yells, "THAT WAS CLOSE!!!" A group points upward in terror: "THAT'S THE GUY WHO SENT THE YOKOZUNA URASHIMA AND MASTER HOLDEM FLYING!!!" "HEY, LOOK AT HER!!!" "WHAT HAPPENED!I WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!I" The massive black dragon form of Kaidou plummets from the sky, flames and smoke trailing, crashing toward ornate Wano buildings. Huge SFX: ゴォォォン!!! The impact sends shockwaves through the town. Onlookers scream, "THE IMPACT OF THE STRIKE IS...!!!" Below, more figures react in horror as Kaidou falls. "MASTER KAIDOU IS FALLING THIS WAY!!!" A leopard-masked fighter yells, "UWAAAAA AAAAHHH!!!"

Luffy pants heavily in close-up, "HUFF... HUFF...." He stares in shock as Kaidou's massive dragon body slams into buildings, sending a samurai flying. A voice cries, "HE LAID A HAND ON MASTER KAIDOU!!" Another screams, "GYAAAAH! RUUUUU UUNNN!!" Dust clouds erupt as Kaidou crashes. Luffy shouts desperately, "EVERY-ONE....!!!" A figure in the smoke calls out, "PLEASE TELL ME THEY AVOIDED IT..." "I HOPE THEY'RE ALRIGHT!!!" SFX rumble: コォォォォ. In the next scene, Kin'emon shouts urgently, "YOU GUYS, HEAD BACK TO THE MOUNTAIN FIRST!!!" A horned fighter growls, "I'VE GOT A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS!!" Another yells, "MASTER SHUTEN-MARU!!!I" while a cloaked figure with a staff stands nearby. SFX: オォォォ.. and ビェェ.

In the ruined streets, a large figure lies collapsed as panicked townspeople shout, "SHE JUST CAME FROM THE DIRECTION KAIDOU FLEW IN FROM, AND COLLAPSED!" "DIDN'T MASTER SPEED LEAVE THIS TOWN EARLIER...!I" "PLEASE HANG IN THERE!! WHAT HAPPENED!I" Luffy stares in shock, "!I" A close-up shows his wide eyes as someone cries, "MASTER SPEEEED!!!" Luffy kneels beside the injured woman, demanding, "YOU GOT HER HOME SAFELY, RIGHTI!" He turns angrily, "HEY!! WHY ARE YOU HERE!!I WHERE'S TAMA!I" The woman weakly replies, "HEY!! AREN'T YOU THE UMAMI!!!I" Luffy roars back, "UMAMI!!!" The woman, bloodied and tearful, gasps, "PROTECT MY MASTER. I WASN'T ABLE TO..." Luffy and a small companion flee while she adds, "MASTER KAIDOU SAW US... ON OUR WAY... HUFF... I TRIED TO FIGHT HIM OFF, BUT..."

Luffy sweats with a serious expression, "..." A flashback shows a woman's face, "I HEARD A WEIRD REPORT..." Speed rides a transformed creature through the air, "SPEED...!!! WHERE ARE YOU GOING...!I" In the present, Luffy bites into an apple with a dramatic effect, "OF THE RED BEAN PORRIDGE AND APPLE I ATE TODAY!!" The taste memory hits, "THE TASTE..." A young girl smiles while drinking from an apple, "BIG BRO, I WILL NEVER FORGET..." The scene cuts back to chaos as Luffy's group lies defeated, "WENT WITH HER!!!" "I SHOULD HAVE..." Luffy clenches his fist in anger, "DAMMIT...!!!"

Luffy stands determined, "THE PLAN WILL BE FINISHED!! IF I BEAT HIM UP NOW... KIN'EMON'S ALLIES AND MY CREW, AS WELL AS YOURS..." An ally warns, "WITH THAT HUGE BODY, HE PROBABLY HASN'T FIGURED OUT WHAT'S HAPPENED YET!! WE'RE GETTING OUT OF HERE!!" A figure shouts at Luffy, "STRAW-HAT-YA!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU BASTARD!I ARE YOU TRYING TO RUIN OUR PLAN!I" Luffy's face twists in rage as he bellows, "I'M OVER HEREEEEE EEEEEE!!! KAIDOU!!!" The massive dragon Kaidou looms overhead, "GYAAAAH!! MASTER KAIDOU IS LOOKING THIS WAY...!!!" A voice notes, "HUH!I HE LOOKS DRUNK, DOESN'T HE!I" while Kaidou hiccups, "HICC~"

Kaidou's dragon head roars with impact lines, "ゴゴゴゴ!!" Luffy leaps forward with a fierce glare, declaring, "BE THE PIRATE KING!!! I'M THE ONE WHO'LL..." Kaidou's massive eye focuses as a voice says, "LUFFY. YOUR NAME IS..." Below, allies react in shock, one raising a hand while another glares. The massive dragon form of Kaidou crashes through buildings in a huge explosion of debris and smoke, sending figures flying as the town is destroyed.

Luffy leaps high into the air above the Wano Country capital, shouting "WOAH!! MASTER SPEED!I" as he rockets forward. Below, the sprawling cityscape fills the view with traditional buildings and a massive black dragon—Kaidou—coiling through the sky amid smoke and debris. Kaidou, clearly drunk, slurs "SO, YOU CAME TO THE WANO COUNTRY.....!!!! HICC~" while glaring down. Close-ups show shocked Beast Pirates reacting with wide eyes and open mouths. Luffy stretches his arm back in mid-air, declaring "GOMU GOMU NO..." as he prepares a massive strike, motion lines and impact effects bursting around him.

Kaidou's massive dragon form looms over the city as panicked voices cry "MASTER KAIDOU'S GETTING PUMMELED!!!" and "WHOAAA AAAAA!! WHAT THE HELL IS THIS GUY!I" Luffy, in Gear Fourth Boundman form, unleashes a furious barrage titled "ELEPHANT GATLING...!!!" His enlarged fists hammer Kaidou's serpentine body repeatedly with explosive impacts marked "ドドドド" and "ドガガガ!!!" Kaidou's dragon head rears back amid the onslaught, scales and limbs flailing as the rapid strikes connect.

From above the capital, a figure wonders "HUH...I" as Kaidou's dragon form begins to shrink and disperse in the sky. Below, terrified citizens and pirates scatter while Kaidou's hybrid dragon-human form roars in pain, flames and smoke erupting around him as he yells "DWAA AAAH!!!" A subordinate shouts "GENERAL KAIDOUOOOO OOOO!!" and another notes "MASTER KAIDOU, ARE YOU ALL RIGHT!I HE WENT BACK TO HIS HUMAN FORM...!!" Kaidou's enormous body crashes down, shrinking further with the sound effect "SHRINK..." as he reverts fully to his massive human shape atop the rubble.

Luffy, still in Gear Fourth, declares "GEAR FOURTH... GOMU GOMU NO... BOUNDMAN!!" while powering up with swirling energy. Observers react: "HE BULKED UP!!" "THAT BASTARD, HE TRANSFORMED!!" "HE'S COMING THIS WAY, KAIDOU-SAN!!" Kaidou grimaces with a low "UUUUGH..." In a massive close-range explosion, Luffy unleashes "KONG ORGAN!!" his fists pummeling Kaidou's face and body with tremendous force, sending shockwaves and debris flying as Kaidou takes the direct hit marked "BUGH!!"

Luffy, battered and breathing heavily, grips the ground as Kaido's massive dragon form looms over the battlefield. "HUFF... HUFF..." Luffy wheezes while struggling to stand. In the background, onlookers including a long-haired figure and a masked man watch tensely. Kaido's dragon head rears back with a thunderous roar. Luffy charges forward in a burst of speed, his body stretching as he delivers a powerful series of strikes. Massive impact SFX "レッド" explode across the page as Luffy's attacks land, sending shockwaves through Kaido's scaled body. "UWOO OOOOO OOHHH HHH!!!" Luffy yells with each blow. Kaido counters with crushing force, the dragon tail and claws thrashing wildly. Luffy is sent flying but recovers mid-air, eyes blazing with determination. "WOOOO OOOOHH HHHHH!!!" he roars again, refusing to yield as debris and smoke fill the air.

Kaido, now in his towering hybrid dragon-human form, looms over the scene with horns and scales gleaming. Luffy is hurled backward from a devastating blow. "WHAT KIND OF KING DID YOU SAY YOU'LL BE...I" Kaido growls menacingly. Smaller panels show Luffy crashing down and struggling. Kaido's voice booms: "THIS IS THE POWER OF THE STRONGEST CREATURE IN THE WORLD!!!" Luffy, bloodied but defiant, lies in the rubble as Kaido raises his fist. "YOU BRAT!!" Kaido shouts. The massive hybrid unleashes his attack with a shattering sound effect "ガツン" as energy crackles. "DIVINE THUNDER!!" Kaido declares, the panel erupting in lightning and force. Luffy's eyes widen in shock at the overwhelming power. The page ends with the chapter credit "ONE PIECE...CH. 923 /END".
