A massive armored figure swings a huge club with a thunderous DA-DOOM!! impact that shakes the ground in front of the Drinker Pub building. In the lower panels, Roronoa Zoro stands with a stern expression, a small “…” bubble near him and “Hmmm” reaction lines. Boodle, the bespectacled mayor, shouts furiously, “I’M HERE TO CHALLENGE YOU! I’M BOODLE, AND I’VE BEEN MAYOR OF THIS TOWN SINCE YOU WERE PILLAGING NURSERIES!” Buggy the clown pirate glares and demands, “WHO ARE YOU… AND WHAT’S YOUR DEATH WISHI”

Buggy Pirates laugh uproariously as Luffy grapples with their captain; one pirate yells “DOES HE REALLY THINK HE CAN BEAT THE CAPTAIN!I” while another cackles “BWA HA HA HA HA HA HA!” Cabaji tells Buggy, “LEAVE HIM TO ME, SIR.” Buggy reacts with surprise, “WHAT IS IT, CABAJII” and “CAP’N BUGGY…” A crowd cheers as Cabaji draws his sword with dramatic “SIK SIK SIK” sound effects. The acrobat declares, “WHY, KEELHAUL ME! IT’S CABAJI THE ACROBAT!” while townspeople shout “LOOK AT ‘IM GO!” and “YAAY!” amid “ANUP ANUP ANUP” and “SPROING!” effects.

Cabaji the Acrobat rides a unicycle, sword drawn, declaring “IT’S BEEN A WHILE.” with “SNUP!!” and “WSSH WSSH” effects. Townspeople and Buggy Pirates chant “CABAJI!! CABAJI!!” and urge “AYE! GO GET ‘IM, CABAJI!!!” Cabaji narrows his eyes and says, “I DON’T WANT TO GET RUSTY…!” A close-up shows Boodle glaring silently with “…” A pirate warns Luffy, “YOU STAY OUT OF THIS.” Buggy snaps back, “AVAST, FOOL! HE CHALLENGED ME!” A sign identifies the fighter as “BUGGY’S SECOND MATE CABAJI THE ACROBAT” while large “DA” and “KREK KREK” impact sounds fill the panel.

The mayor of Orange Town glares furiously, veins bulging, and roars, "THIS TOWN IS MY TREASURE, AND I'M GOING TO PROTECT IT!!!" In the next panels Cabaji smirks and taunts, "A little old to be making a name for yourself, aren't youI Why are you challenging meI ARG! WE WON'T BE SEEING CABAJI'S ACROBATIC SHOW!" Buggy throws his head back in wild laughter, "GYAHHAHAHAHA! YOU SENILE OLD FOOL! THE ONLY TREASURE HERE IS FOR TERMITES! GOLD AND JEWELS ARE TREASURE! TREASURE SPARKLES AND MAKES ITS POSSESSOR A KING!" The mayor snaps back, eyes blazing, "ENOUGH OF YOUR NONSENSE!!! THIS DUMP OF YOURS DOESN'T SPARKLE, IT ROTS!"

The mayor's face fills the frame as he bellows, "I DON'T EXPECT YOU TO UNDERSTAND MY FEELINGS FOR THIS TOWN!!!" Buggy snarls from the side, "SHUT UP, YOU SEA SQUIRT!" The mayor's massive hand swings forward with a "SMOOSH" as Buggy's detached hand flies past. Cabaji is sent flying off a rooftop with a crash, "WHY SHOULD I!I" Buggy's head shouts upward, "NOW GET DOWN HERE!" while the mayor's fist smashes down, "THRASH" and "THUD", sending shockwaves through the street as Buggy yells, "GET DOWN THEREI"

A pirate crewman recoils in terror, "Y-YOU... M-MONSTER!!!" Buggy's subordinate leaps from a rooftop with a triumphant "YAHOO! AYE, CAP'N!!!" while laughing pirates cheer "HYAAA HA HA HA HA!!" The mayor is struck repeatedly, "WAP" "WAP" "ARRGH!" Buggy's face twists in rage as he squeezes his own throat, "WHAT'S THAT!I YOU TRYING TO BEAT ME... BY PUNCHING YOURSELF IN THE THROAT!I" The mayor gasps, "...NOTHING! TH-THIS IS..." as Buggy's fist connects with a massive "WAP" "WAP WAP" impact, the mayor choking out "SQUEEZE!!" and "NNGH!"

Buggy's furious face looms close, demanding, "ANSWER ME! WHAT'S MY NAME!I YOU DARE TO ORDER ME DOWN THERE!I DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TOI" Below, Buggy stands triumphantly atop a massive pile of treasure, arms spread wide, "ALL THE TREASURE IN THE WORLD! I'LL HAVE IT ALL, NOBODY ELSE!! AND ALL THE GLITTERING TREASURE WILL BE MINE!! SOON, I SHALL RULE THE GRAND LINE!!" The mayor, bloodied and on his knees, grits out, "I CAN'T DIE! NOT BEFORE I GET REVENGE! NN...NNGH!" as Buggy's maniacal laughter echoes, "KHAHAHRRRRR!!"

The furious mayor Boodle glares upward with sweat flying, roaring at the cannon-armed pirate on the roof: "COME DOWN AND FIGHT LIKE A MAN!" The pirate sneers back, "W-WHY YOU! CURSE YOU!" and threatens, "THEN BE GLAD YOU WON'T LIVE TO SEE WHAT I DO TO IT! THIS MISERABLE, STINKING TOWN IS YOUR TREASURE, EHI" Luffy leaps across rooftops toward the Drinker Pub as the pirate dismisses him: "YOU'RE NOT WORTH THE EFFORT!" Boodle's loyal dog Chouchou stands at his side. Boodle's face twists in rage as he bellows, "COME DOWN AND FIGHT ME! I WON'T LET YOU WRECK THIS TOWN!!" while Luffy shouts "C'MON!!"

Luffy's fist slams into Mohji's face with a massive impact. Mohji coughs violently, "HACK! KOFF! KOFF!" as Luffy declares, "I TOLD YOU I'D CLOBBER YOU!" and grins, "I'M BACK!" The pirate reels from the blow while Luffy's straw hat shades his determined eyes.

Mohji stands on the balcony with arms crossed, declaring, "YOU TWO MUST ENJOY PAIN... I DON'T BELIEVE IT!" Below, Nami points forward and says, "I'M JUST HERE FOR THE MAP AND THE TREASURE!" while Zoro stands ready with swords. Luffy lies on the ground as Mohji taunts, "HAVE FUN FIGHTING, BOYS... BUT THIS TIME YOU WON'T ESCAPE ME!!!" Nami retorts, "WHATEVER..."

Zoro blocks the way and states, "THIS IS MY BATTLE!" Nami stands nearby as Mohji yells from his cannon arm, "YOU'RE OUTSIDERS... KOFF... NOT YOUR FIGHT! SO DON'T INTERFERE!!! IT'S MY TOWN AND I'LL PROTECT IT!" With a powerful kick, Mohji sends Luffy flying backward in a huge "THWAK" impact, Luffy's legs flailing as Mohji shouts in surprise, "III!"

A black-haired swordsman in a bandana stares silently with "...". Buggy the clown pirate jolts in shock, "HUH!I". The orange-haired girl cries out in alarm, "MAYOR!I". Luffy charges forward and delivers a powerful kick to the massive cannon, sending it toppling with a heavy "SLUMP!" and "...!!!". In the wide bottom panel, the cannon crashes violently into the ground with a massive "FWUMP!!" as debris flies. The orange-haired girl shouts furiously at Luffy, "WHOSE SIDE ARE YOU ON!I WHY'D YOU DO THAT TO THE MAYOR!I". Buggy yells in pain from the impact, "ARGH! YOU--!!".

Luffy grins widely in close-up, declaring "HE WAS IN THE WAY!!!" with a big "GRIN". Buggy stares in stunned silence, "...!!", while the orange-haired girl and others react in the background. Zoro turns and speaks calmly, "YOU'RE TOO RECKLESS! HE WOULD HAVE GOTTEN HIMSELF KILLED... HE'LL BE SAFER UNCONSCIOUS. GOOD THINKING..." as the group stands amid the damaged cannon and town buildings.

Luffy is struck from behind with a heavy "STOMP", the orange-haired girl yelling "BIG NOSE!!!" while Luffy gasps "GASP!". Someone off-panel shouts "HEY, YOU!!!". Buggy's crew reacts with shock as a massive "SHOOOOM!" erupts, their faces twisted in surprise with "!!!!!". In the lower panels, Buggy roars an order, "KILL HIM!!! GIVE 'IM THE BUGGY BALL!!!", as the orange-haired girl gasps "GASP!!!" and Zoro reacts with "!!!!".

The Buggy Ball cannonball launches with a roaring "Vwoooom" and trailing "Eek!!!". The orange-haired girl and Zoro yell warnings at Luffy, "LUFFY! GET OUT THE WAY!! YOU'RE GONNA GET HIT!!!" and "YOU IDIOT! DON'T YOU KNOW WHEN TO SHUT UP!I". Luffy stands firm with a confident grin, replying "...NOT GONNA WORK ON ME! THAT MEASLY CANNON-BALL'S..." as the projectile hurtles directly toward him amid dramatic speed lines and impact effects.

Luffy stands with mouth wide open, cheeks puffed, as a massive black cannonball labeled Buggy Ball hurtles straight at him. He strains and shouts, "GUM-GUM..." while sucking in air with a loud "HUFF". The ball slams into his body. Luffy's torso and limbs instantly swell into a gigantic, round balloon shape. The impact sends shock lines and the onomatopoeia "FO... BALON!!!" bursting outward as the cannonball is absorbed and compressed inside the stretched rubber. A huge "Q!!I" reaction effect flares beside the balloon.

The inflated Luffy rockets the Buggy Ball back with tremendous force, the panel showing the ball flying away with "GG NNNNN...!!!". Onlookers react in shock: "HE TOOK A DIRECT HIT FROM A BUGGY BALL!" "...!I" "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT GUYI!" Nami stares wide-eyed. Zoro, sweating, grips his head and complains, "YOU COULD HAVE TOLD US WHAT YOU WERE PLANNING..." The ball bounces high with massive "BOI VVVVOOOO" and "NG!!" impact lettering while the narration states "AND HE BOUNCED IT BACK!!!!"

The returned Buggy Ball explodes in a massive fiery blast high above the town with huge lettering "AAAARRRGGGH... Boom!!" and impact lines. Below, Zoro stands with swords on his back, Nami sits on the ground looking up in surprise. Luffy, back in normal form and grinning widely, raises one arm and declares, "THAT EVENS THE ODDS A LITTLE! LET'S GET 'EM!" while Nami mutters "...WHAT ARE YOU!I" and Zoro notes "MADE ME WORRY FOR NOTHING..."
