The Uninvited Guest

The scene opens with an exterior shot of the Baratie restaurant ship floating on the sea. A voice shouts from inside, "HEY, YOU DAMN GEEZER." Inside, Sanji and Head Chef Zeff are in a heated argument. Sanji, smoking a cigarette, glares at Zeff and says, "I'M THE ASSISTANT HEAD CHEF OF THIS PLACE. SO JUST WHAT DO YOU MEAN EXACTLY WHEN YOU SAY THAT I'M NOT NEEDED!?" Zeff, with his braided mustache, retorts, "YOU CAUSE TOO MUCH TROUBLE WITH THE GUESTS, AND IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE FEMALE, YOU DROOL ALL OVER THEM." The argument takes place in the middle of the dining room, drawing the attention of the other cooks and customers. Zeff continues his harsh critique, "YOU ALSO CAN'T COOK A DECENT MEAL TO SAVE YOUR LIFE. YOU'RE JUST UNNECESSARY BAGGAGE, HOLDING THIS RESTAURANT DOWN. AND AS YOU PROBABLY KNOW, NONE OF THE OTHER COOKS WANT YOU HERE AS WELL. SO WHETHER IT BE A PIRATE OR SOMETHING ELSE, IT'S JUST BETTER FOR YOU TO GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SHOP."

Sanji loses his temper. With a sudden "GABA!!" he lunges forward and grabs Zeff by the collar of his chef's uniform. Sanji yells furiously, "SO THAT'S WHAT YOU WANTED TO SAY TO ME ALL ALONG, YOU DAMN GEEZER!? IGNORING ALL YOUR OTHER COMMENTS, IF THERE'S ONE THING I WON'T STAND FOR, IT'S SOMEONE INSULTING MY COOKING! NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, I'M STAYING HERE! GOT THAT!?" Zeff doesn't hesitate. He swiftly counters, kicking Sanji hard in the face with his peg leg. "HOW DARE YOU GRAB THE COLLAR OF THE HEAD CHEF!" Zeff shouts as Sanji is sent flying backward with an "AGHH!" Sanji lands hard on the floor, rubbing his bruised head and muttering, "...DAMN IT!" Zeff stands over him, simply scoffing, "HMPH." Nearby, Luffy and Usopp sit at a table, watching the violent exchange unfold.

Still on the floor, Sanji yells after Zeff, "YOU CAN TRY TO CHASE ME OUT ALL YOU WANT! BUT I'LL CONTINUE TO BE A COOK HERE, YOU HEAR!?" Zeff turns his back and walks away, replying coldly, "UNTIL THE DAY YOU DIE, AT THE VERY LEAST!" Sanji retorts, "I AIN'T DYIN'. I'LL LIVE FOR ANOTHER 100 YEARS." Sanji then fires back at Zeff, "PRETTY MOUTHY FOR A DAMN GEEZER, AREN'T YOU!?" At their table, Usopp leans over to Luffy, "DID YOU HEAR SANJI JUST NOW? YEAH, HE DEFINITELY WANTS TO BECOME THE NEXT HEAD CHEF..." Luffy grins broadly, "HAHA, ALRIGHT! HE GAVE YOU PERMISSION. NOW WE CAN BE PIRAT..." Before Luffy can finish his sentence, Sanji snaps at him, "AS IF!"

Sanji's demeanor completely changes as he attends to Nami's table. He pours her a drink with a charming smile. "FORGIVE ME FOR THAT RUCKUS JUST NOW. AS AN APOLOGY, PLEASE ENJOY THIS FRUIT MACEDONIA, AND THIS GLASS OF GRAND MARNIER." Nami smiles back, "OH, THANK YOU SO MUCH!" At the same table, Usopp and Zoro are outraged by the blatant favoritism. Usopp slams his hands on the table, "WHAT ABOUT US!?" Zoro points an accusing finger, "THIS IS GENDER DISCRIMINATION! I'LL SUE, YOU LOVE-CRAZY COOK!" Nami flirts, "YOU'RE SO NICE. <3" Sanji swoons, "OH, IT'S NOTHING... <3" Usopp yells, "HEY!" Sanji turns a dark glare toward the two men. "I ALREADY GAVE YOU SOME TEA! YOU COULD AT LEAST SAY A WORD OF THANKS FOR THAT, PUNK!" Usopp stands up, ready to fight, "WHA!? YOU WANNA START SOMETHING, IS THAT IT!? I AIN'T GONNA GO EASY ON YOU! GET'IM, ZORO!" Zoro casually sips his drink, "GET HIM YOURSELF..." Nami happily eats her dessert, "MMM, DELICIOUS!"

Sanji and Usopp are now face-to-face, glaring at each other. Sanji points at Usopp's plate, "YOU HAVEN'T EVEN CLEARED AWAY MY PLATES. BUT YOU STILL HAVE MUSHROOMS LEFT! FINISH IT!" Usopp sweats nervously but stands his ground, "I LEFT THEM ON PURPOSE BECAUSE I HATE MUSHROOMS. I WAS POISONED BY ONE WHEN I WAS A KID." Sanji yells, "WELL THIS ONE AIN'T POISONED SO EAT UP, LONG-NOSE!" Nami interrupts their bickering, looking concerned. "PLEASE DON'T FIGHT JUST BECAUSE OF ME." Sanji instantly melts, turning to her with heart eyes, "ANYTHING FOR YOU, MISS!" He then snaps back at Usopp, "JUST WHO THE HELL'S FIGHTING FOR YOU!?" Nami smiles slyly, "BY THE WAY, MR. COOK." Sanji replies eagerly, "YES?" Nami continues, "THE FOOD HERE'S JUST A TAD TOO EXPENSIVE FOR ME." Sanji immediately swoons and grabs her hand, "THEN IT SHALL BE FREE OF CHARGE TO YOU, MISS!" Nami cheers, "THANK YOU SO MUCH! AHH!" Usopp points at Sanji in disbelief, "YOU'RE PAYING THOUGH!" Sanji snaps, "WHAT!?"

Sanji continues to dote on the female customers. He happily greets another woman, "AH, GOOD TO SEE YOU AGAIN, ROXANNE!" Roxanne waves, "AH, SANJI! IT'S BEEN AWHILE." At the table, Nami casually warns the men, "YOU FELLAS BETTER WATCH OUT TOO." Luffy slurps his drink and says, "AH, THIS TEA'S GREAT," while Zoro mutters toward Nami, "YOU'RE A REAL WITCH, AREN'T YA..." In the background, a male customer complains, "Gimme my fruit cup, you bastard! DAMN LETCH." Suddenly, Zeff appears behind Luffy and yells, "HEY, ERRAND-BOY! THE HELL ARE YOU SITTING AROUND AND DRINKING TEA FOR!?" Luffy spits out his tea in shock with a "PFT!" Zeff orders him, "BRING OUT THE HOT TOWELS WHEN THE CUSTOMERS COME IN." Luffy, wiping his mouth, replies, "YESSIR." A narration box appears over an exterior shot of the Baratie: "2 DAYS LATER". Another box reads: "A SURPRISING INCIDENT TAKES PLACE".

The peaceful atmosphere is shattered by the sound of breaking glass. A plate falls and shatters on the floor with a loud "PARIIN!!" Outside, a tattered pirate flag flaps ominously in the wind. It features a skull flanked by two hourglasses. A voice cries out in terror, "IT'S DON KRIEG'S PIRATE SHIP!" Inside the restaurant, the cooks rush to the windows, their faces pale with fear. One cook stammers, "A SKULL WITH TWO HOURGLASSES AT ITS SIDE, TO THREATEN THEIR ENEMIES..." Another confirms, "THERE'S NO DOUBT ABOUT IT! THAT'S KRIEG'S FLAG!" A third cook asks in panic, "WHY IS HE HERE!?" Outside, a massive, heavily damaged galleon slowly approaches the Baratie.

Panic erupts among the Baratie staff. A cook grabs Patty by the shoulders, shaking him, "LOOK WHAT YOU DID, PATTY! THEY ACTUALLY CAME HERE! SO ARE YOU GONNA CHASE THEM OFF FOR US, MR. TOUGH GUY!?" Patty is sweating profusely, looking terrified, "I-IT CAN'T BE! THE FLEET ADMIRAL WHO COMMANDS OVER 5000 PIRATES... IS COMING ALL THE WAY OUT HERE TO JUST TO AVENGE ONE OF HIS UNDERLINGS!?" The cook yells back, "WELL YOU BETTER BELIEVE IT! HIS SHIP'S COMING THIS WAY RIGHT NOW!" Usopp is also panicking, waving his arms frantically, "THIS IS REAL BAD! SHOULDN'T WE BE RUNNING AWAY!? BRO, LET'S SET SAIL! WE DON'T WANNA DIE!" Zoro sits calmly, hand on his sword. Luffy and Sanji look out the window. Luffy observes, "TALK ABOUT A HUGE SHIP! GIN MUST'VE COME HERE TO REPAY HIS DEBT TO YOU!" Sanji looks suspicious, "SOMEHOW I DON'T THINK THAT'S THE CASE... BUT IT IS STRANGE..." Zeff stands silently, his expression serious.

A full-page spread reveals the terrifying sight of Don Krieg's flagship looming over the Baratie. The massive galleon is in a state of absolute ruin. Its sails are shredded, the masts are broken, and the hull is heavily damaged, looking as though it barely survived a catastrophic event. The sheer size of the ship dwarfs the restaurant. Voices from inside the Baratie react to the sight: "THAT SHIP..." "IT'S IN COMPLETE SHAMBLES...!"

Sanji and Luffy continue to stare at the ruined galleon. Sanji analyzes the damage, "TO TURN A GIGANTIC GALLEON OF THAT SIZE INTO THAT SAD STATE... THAT'S NO WORK OF HUMANS... THEY MUST'VE BEEN CAUGHT UP IN SOME NATURAL DISASTER." Suddenly, the heavy double doors of the restaurant creak open. A large, imposing silhouette stands in the doorway, casting a long shadow into the dining room. The entire restaurant falls silent as everyone turns to look. Close-ups show the shocked and fearful faces of Sanji, a cook, and Patty. A collective murmur of "HUH?" ripples through the room as they wait to see who has entered.

The figure steps into the light, revealing himself to be the infamous Pirate Fleet Admiral, Don Krieg. He is a massive man wearing heavy, fur-lined armor, but he looks completely emaciated and exhausted. He is being supported by his crewmate, Gin, who looks equally desperate. Gin pleads with the restaurant staff, "SORRY FOR INTRUDING... BUT COULD I HAVE SOME WATER... AND FOOD...?" Krieg, panting heavily, adds weakly, "IF IT'S MONEY YOU WANT, I'VE GOT PLENTY..." A caption box introduces him: "PIRATE FLEET ADMIRAL 'DON KRIEG'".

The Baratie staff is stunned by Krieg's pathetic state. Patty stares in disbelief, "WHA.. THE HECK? THAT WEAK, WORN-OUT LOOKING GUY IS KRIEG?" Luffy observes bluntly, "HE LOOKS LIKE HE'S STARVING." Sanji narrows his eyes, "WONDER WHAT HAPPENED..." Suddenly, Krieg's legs give out, and he collapses face-first onto the floor with a heavy thud. Gin cries out, "DON KRIEG!" Krieg groans weakly, "UGH..." Gin falls to his knees beside his captain, desperately begging the cooks, "I'M BEGGING YOU! PLEASE GIVE HIM SOME FOOD AND WATER! PLEASE SAVE MY CAPTAIN! HE'LL DIE AT THIS RATE!"

Instead of showing sympathy, Patty bursts into cruel laughter. "AHAHAHAHA! PERFECT, JUST PERFECT! SO THIS IS WHAT THE INFAMOUS OUTLAW DON KRIEG LOOKS LIKE!?" Gin looks up, tears in his eyes, "WE HAVE MONEY THIS TIME! WE'RE PAYING CUSTOMERS!" Patty ignores him and shouts to the other cooks, "HEY! CONTACT THE MARINES IMMEDIATELY! THIS IS THE PERFECT CHANCE FOR THE GOVERNMENT TO ARREST HIM! DON'T LET HIM HAVE A SINGLE MORSEL OF FOOD!" The other cooks quickly agree, their fear turning into vindictive anger. "THAT'S RIGHT! WHO KNOWS WHAT HE'LL DO ONCE HE GETS BACK ON HIS FEET!" "THIS IS RETRIBUTION FOR ALL THE CRIMES HE'S COMMITTED!" "IT'S ONLY RIGHT THAT HE SHOULD DIE AFTER ALL HE'S DONE!" "IF WE GIVE HIM FOOD AND HE RECOVERS, IT'S ONLY OBVIOUS THAT HE'LL ATTACK OUR RESTAURANT! I AIN'T GIVING HIM A SINGLE DROP OF WATER!"

Desperate, Gin presses his forehead to the floor in a deep bow. "I WON'T DO ANYTHING. IF YOU GIVE ME FOOD, I PROMISE I'LL QUIETLY WITHDRAW FROM HERE...! SO PLEASE... PLEASE HELP ME...!" To everyone's shock, Don Krieg also lowers his head to the floor. Gin is horrified, "D-DON KRIEG! PLEASE STOP! A GREAT MAN LIKE YOU SHOULDN'T BE LOWERING HIS HEAD! IT'S TOO SHAMEFUL...!" Krieg ignores him, his voice trembling, "I'M BEGGING YOU...! I DON'T MIND IF IT'S LEFTOVERS OR WHATEVER! PLEASE, JUST GIVE ME ANYTHING!" Patty crosses his arms, completely unmoved. "ANYTHING! DON...! HMPH. TRYING TO EARN SOME SYMPATHY POINTS?" Suddenly, Sanji walks up behind Patty, holding a plate of food and a bottle of wine. "HEY MOVE IT, PATTY," Sanji says coldly.

Without warning, Sanji delivers a powerful kick to the back of Patty's head, sending the large cook crashing to the floor. Sanji calmly steps over him and places the plate of food and the bottle of wine on the floor in front of the starving pirates. "HERE, GIN. GIVE THIS TO HIM," Sanji says. Gin looks up, tears streaming down his face, "SANJI!" Krieg immediately grabs the food and begins stuffing it into his mouth ravenously, mumbling, "THANK YOU!" The other cooks are furious. "HEY SANJI! TAKE THAT FOOD BACK THIS INSTANT!" one yells. Another screams, "DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT KIND OF MAN HE IS!?"

As Krieg devours the meal, one of the cooks frantically explains the pirate's ruthless history. "THE RULER OF EAST BLUE, THE KING OF DECEPTIONS! THAT'S DON KRIEG FOR YOU! HE STARTED OUT BY DISGUISING AS A MARINE AFTER ESCAPING FROM PRISON! HE THEN KILLED THE MARINE OFFICER IN CHARGE OF THE SHIP AND TOOK IT OVER! THAT'S HOW HE BECAME A PIRATE!" The cook continues, describing Krieg's treacherous tactics, "SINCE THEN, HE'S ATTACKED PORTS, TOWNS, AND OTHER SHIPS BY HANGING A MARINE FLAG... AND WHEN ATTACKING HIS ENEMIES, HE HANGS A WHITE FLAG TO ATTACK THEM BY SURPRISE...! HE'S A MAN WHO'LL STOOP TO ANYTHING IN ORDER TO WIN! AND THAT'S HOW HE MADE HIS WAY TO THE TOP!" The cooks yell at Sanji, trying to make him understand the danger. "HIS STRENGTH AIN'T NO EXAGGERATION EITHER! YOU REALLY THINK HE'LL JUST LEAVE AFTER EATING!? THAT'S UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM! LETTING A DEMON LIKE HIM STARVE TO DEATH, IS FOR THE GOOD OF THIS WORLD!"

The cooks' warnings prove true instantly. Having finished the food, Don Krieg suddenly springs up with terrifying speed and power. He swings a massive, armored fist and strikes Sanji squarely in the face. The impact is brutal, sending Sanji flying backward. Gin and Luffy watch in absolute shock and horror. Gin screams, "SANJI!" as the cook crashes to the floor.

Don Krieg stands tall, his strength fully restored. He cracks his knuckles, a menacing grin on his face. Gin is devastated and terrified. "D-DON KRIEG! THIS IS DIFFERENT FROM WHAT YOU PROMISED! I GUIDED YOU HERE BECAUSE YOU PROMISED NOT TO HARM THIS RESTAURANT! NOT ONLY THAT, THAT MAN IS OUR SAVIOUR!" Krieg ignores Gin's pleas, stretching his neck. "AHH, THAT WAS A GREAT MEAL. I FEEL LIKE I'M BACK TO MY NORMAL SELF AGAIN..." On the floor, Sanji wipes blood from his mouth, glaring up at Krieg. "SO HE REVEALS HIS FANGS AT LAST..." Luffy grits his teeth, looking furiously at Gin, "GIN!" Krieg looks around the dining room, his eyes filled with greed. "NICE RESTAURANT YOU'VE GOT HERE. I'LL TAKE IT."
