The chapter title appears over the battlefield: "CHAPTER 771: 'DON OF THE HAPPOU NAVY,'" with the side narration, "A fated final showdown! A white-hot battle to the death!!" Pica's enormous stone body continues tearing across the plateau while people are thrown through the air and one person cries, "Whoa!" Zoro stands in the rubble watching the moving stone mass and hears a voice ask, "Do you need a hand there, Pirate Hunter?" The page opens with Zoro still facing Pica's shifting stone body while an ally offers to help.

Elizabello introduces himself to Zoro: "My name is Elizabello! I'm an old companion of King Riku's! This is my friend's country!" He explains, "My King Punch is my family's treasure, its heirloom sword. Granted, I can only shoot it off once per hour." He asks whether Zoro has figured out Pica's powers, and Zoro replies, "It's you!" Elizabello appreciates Zoro coming so far but says he will be the one to bring Pica down. Zoro tells him to hang onto that sword of his because no idea he has will happen if he uses it now, and thinks, "That boulder bastard's definitely after something..." Elizabello accepts the warning with, "If you say so!" as both of them jump through the collapsing stone.

The scene shifts to Lao G, who breaks into the "Back Pain Stance" while laughing "Ha-da dadada dadada!" Baby 5 and Buffalo recognize the move and shout, "There it is! The 'Back Pain Stance'!" A translator note says it is a pun on "stiff shoulders" and "ice form." Lao G attacks with "Frozen Shoulder Form!" and then an "Eye Pain!" attack while the spectators marvel at his fast movements. Another translator note says this is a Japanese pun on "joint pain." Lao G follows with "Pain of the Immortal Soldier?" and hammers Don Chinjao, whose body buckles under the blows.

Lao G roars the letter "G!" and declares, "Earth Sage Fist! As I have grown older, I have learnt all the more of pain and I have grown ever deadlier!" Baby 5 and Buffalo cheer that this is Lao G's fight and that he is beating the five-billion-bounty Don Chinjao to a pulp. Nearby, Sai yells, "I won't allow that marriage!" Chinjao asks whether Sai was even listening and insists he is not going to marry her. Sai shouts, "I won't allow it!" and when Baby 5 asks what is going on, Sai snaps that the harebrained idea is like he would get married. Baby 5 angrily asks, "What did you say!?"

Don Chinjao reveals the arranged marriage plan, telling Sai, "Sai! My daughter, Uholishia, leader of the Nihou Navy, is your fiancee!" He adds that if Sai and Uholishia marry, the Nihou and Happou Navies will join together and become a Juppou Navy. A translator note explains that ni is two, hachi is eight, and juu is ten. Sai replies, "I know! I don't care who my wife is!" Chinjao continues that their combined navies and marriages are all that matter. Meanwhile Lao G is ignored and keeps shaking with anger. Baby 5 and Buffalo panic: "Oh no... Lao G is being ignored!" "He's gonna snap!" They note that he cannot hear a word, but his life-force is pouring out of his head.

Lao G's body swells with aura while observers wonder, "Is this how this fight is going to end? Of all things, that his lifespan would come to an end now..." Baby 5 cries, "Wha!? No way! Lao G! Don't die! Come back to us!" Chinjao says, "He can't hear a damn thing but he still came back!" Sai steps forward and insults him: "Don Chinjao, you've grown weak as well." Chinjao and the others are shocked, and Sai asks, "Oi! Sai! What're you doing!?" Sai answers Chinjao's earlier marriage talk by shouting at Baby 5, "Oi! Quit fixing my collar! Stop doting over me like your wife or something!!" The others admit they have no idea what the two are talking about.

Baby 5, still treating Sai's words as romantic, asks, "How rude! You said you needed me, didn't you? What do you want me to do for you? Anything!" Sai tells her, "Get away from me, Donquijote Family! You crazy woman! You're my enemy!" She beams and says, "Kakkakka! You really are a few cards short of a full deck! I guess I'll just take you up your offer." When he demands a favor, she replies, "Do me a favor and die." Sai then warns, "Run wild and ruin Straw Hat's plans? The very least we can do is off one or two executives for them! Prepare yourself!" Baby 5 taps her weapon against her head and calmly answers, "I understand. I'll gladly die! If that's how I can be of help to you, then..."

Baby 5 smiles and says, "Nothing makes me happier than being able to be of use to another person!" Sai recoils with "Heh?!" and yells, "Oi, wait!" He realizes, "This is bad news! Now Baby 5-sama is..." and shouts, "Idiot, stop it! I was just playing along! Winning by way of your suicide... is just gonna leave a bad taste in my mouth!" Chinjao berates him, "What are you doing, Sai!? Leave her be! Trying to stop the death of an enemy... have you lost your mind?" Sai tells him, "As a leader, you must remain calm!" then snaps, "Shut it, geezer! Quit trying to act like my master!" Flashbacks show Baby 5 being abandoned as a child while people say, "We can't afford to feed this mouth," and, "She won't be of any use to us and yet... she'll eat an entire person's share of food." Baby 5 thinks even dying can be of use.

The flashback continues as Baby 5 is abandoned in the mountains: "Leave that kid in the mountains," "You better not follow me out of here," and "You won't be of any use to us, and so... we have no use for you." Baby 5 asks, "Even you, Mama? I'm of no use to you?" and her adult self thinks, "I, now, am being of use to someone!" Sai interrupts the suicide attempt and says, "I'm telling you, quit it, crazy bitch!" Baby 5 calls him the crazy one. Chinjao loses patience, roaring, "You bring shame to the Happou Navy! I'll break the both of you at once!" He launches "Drill Dragon... Drill Nail!" and a bystander recognizes the head-butt that split the continent of ice. Sai shouts that this is his business and tells Chinjao, "Don't stick your head in!"

Chinjao's Drill Dragon Nail descends toward Sai and Baby 5, but Sai intercepts it with a kick. The impact explodes with the cry "Bujiaogen!" and a translator note says the kanji read "martial leg heel." Baby 5's weapon form opens in surprise and she says, "Open." Buffalo and the others stare, stunned. Sai yells, "Quit that dumb shit!" as Baby 5 cries out, and the page shows his kick stopping the legendary drill head before it can crush them.

The force of Sai's kick sends Chinjao crashing through the battlefield. Baby 5 lies shocked, and Pica watches from his stone form. Spectators cry, "Look! Don Chinjao's drill head actually got bent!" and "Impossible!" Baby 5 says, "I was just trying to be of use to you!" and asks, "Has no one ever tried to refuse your help before!?" Chinjao lies on the ground in disbelief while Sai stands over him, silent. The page confirms that Sai's kick did not merely stop Chinjao, but bent the famous drill head that once split the ice continent.

Chinjao, stunned, says, "Sai... you... how skillfully you bent my drill head!" Sai cannot believe it himself and asks, "Did... I do this?" Baby 5 asks if Sai and Chinjao are going to have a falling out, but Chinjao laughs with pride and says Sai's power has finally awakened: "The blood, sweat and tears of your training have finally borne fruit! Well done!" He adds that the secret technique of Hashouken has been passed on, and formally declares, "Sai... I bestow the name of Drill Dragon Drill Nail unto your martial leg!" Chinjao says that now Sai's leg ought to be able to shatter even the ice continent.

Sai calls out, "Gramps..." Chinjao admits the truth: ever since his fight with Straw Hat, his illness has been acting up and he can no longer fight the way he used to. He says that because Sai has grown so much, he is glad. Chinjao then hands over both authority and freedom: "The Happou Navy is now completely yours! The fiancee business... is also over and done with! You are free to choose whomever you wish!" Before anyone can settle, Lao G attacks with "Carved Seal of G!" and drives a heavy blow into Chinjao, sending him flying as Baby 5 and Buffalo yell, "L-Lao G-sama!?" and Sai cries, "Gramps!"

Lao G stands over the fallen Chinjao while spectators shout, "Whoa! Lao G-sama has defeated Don Chinjao!" He unveils the "Earth Sage Fist, ultimate secret technique: Combat Insurance!!!" Lao G explains that it is a qigong technique that saves and stores muscular strength from youth for use when one has gotten sick or wounded or old. A translator note says "heyday" is a pun on "previous century." Lao G boasts, "This technique is tried and true! My power is as it was in its heyday! Who could possibly defeat me now?!" His body bulks up enormously, turning the old fighter into a massive threat again.

Lao G charges Sai, declaring, "Dressrosa is full of the young! And they are all slaves! As long as I live, I won't let a single one of you fools out of this... cage!" Sai faces him while Baby 5 watches. Lao G then notices Sai protecting Baby 5 and says, "Could there possibly be a more convenient woman than her!? Just to be needed, she will put even her life on the line!" Sai answers, "Monkey from the flower country! I won't let you have Baby 5!" He adds, "Just you wait, Baby 5! I'll spill this fool's blood and come get you!" Baby 5 blushes and asks, "If I win, I'll take you as my wife!" Sai seems to accept, thinking, "Well, if that's how it's gotta go..."

Lao G shouts "G!" and rushes in, calling Sai a young monkey and a foolish ape. Sai answers with the inherited technique, "Drill Dragon Drill Nail!" and drives his martial leg into Lao G with a huge impact. Baby 5, overwhelmed, asks "Really!?" as Lao G is smashed backward. A translator note says the reaction is written as "fallen in love." The status box reads, "Executives on level 2: Lao G: eliminated. Baby 5: eliminated*" and the note adds that only Sai remains. Sai stands victorious and says, "Call me Don." The page marks "ONE PIECE Ch. 771 END."
