The Flower Capital erupts as Zoro and Sanji break into the execution ground. People cry, "He is the murderer, Zorojuro!!" and "And that is the rebel, Sangoro!!" while others call it "A flash entrance!!" Zoro carries O-Toko away from Orochi's guns and tells Sanji, "Sorry, but I don't have time to stand around with you, Brow-goro." Sanji answers, "Same here, Moss-juro!!" In Zoro's arms, Toko keeps laughing and crying, "Aahahahaha!! Daaaddyyy!!" Orochi, still furious after the interruption, growls from his transformed heads, and Hiyori sees Toko saved by Zorojuro's comrade.

Orochi's men rage at the interruption: "How dare you interrupt my execution!!" They call Yasuie's daughter a criminal and order the samurai to kill the ones who dared to interfere. Orochi notes that the rat's comrades are coming out one after another, and his soldiers answer, "Yes, sir!!" Zoro hands Toko toward Sanji and says, "You watch her." Sanji snaps, "Huh?!" Around them, their allies realize Zoro has been in the capital all along, praise Sanji for protecting O-Toko, and decide they must retrieve Lord Yasuie's body rather than leave him on display.

Robin and Nami understand that if they are caught in the chaos, they will no longer be able to stay in the capital, so they start deciding where everyone should meet after their separate escapes. Amid the panic, the people of Ebisu explain their own forced laughter: "Because of the way we laugh... Everyone calls this the Ebisu face here in Wano!! That is why this town is called Ebisu!!" Zoro, enraged by Orochi and missing one of his swords, draws two blades and launches "Two-Swords Style... 720 Pound Cannon!!!" straight through the crowd toward the shogun.

Zoro's flying slash tears across the execution ground, but it does not reach Orochi. Kyoshiro steps into its path and stops the attack with his blade, the impact exploding between them. People recognize him at once: "That's boss Kyoshiro...!!!" Hiyori watches in shock as the man who once appeared to kill Komurasaki now protects the shogun from Zoro's strike.

Orochi's guards hurry him away, scolding that he was too careless to leave the castle with so few guards. Orochi points back in terror and says that the ronin was trying to kill him. Zoro glares at Kyoshiro and demands, "What do you think you're doing?! Think clearly!!!" But Kyoshiro does not move aside. At the same time, another threat crashes into the square: X Drake appears in his dinosaur form, adding a Beast Pirates rampage to the capital's rebellion.

X Drake charges through the capital as people shout, "Drake is on a rampage!!!" The Beast Pirates and shogun's forces open fire, yelling, "Fire!!" Zoro remains locked with Kyoshiro, so the dinosaur is left to Sanji. Sanji calls Drake a bastard and hurls himself into the fight, kicking into the ancient zoan's massive body while the crowd scatters through smoke, gunfire, and rubble.

Franky bursts into the execution ground, and the startled crowd asks, "What is up with that carpenter!!!!!?" He answers with "Strong Right!!!" and smashes the guards aside. Their guns fail against him, and they panic, "Why are our guns not working!!?" Franky reaches Yasuie's body and lifts it away, declaring that they will not let Lord Yasuie be left on display. Others wonder, "What is happening out there!?" and "Who are those people!?" as the Straw Hat allies turn the execution into a rescue and retrieval operation.

Orochi orders his soldiers to kill every last person who dared turn against him and demands to be taken back to the castle. Zoro keeps pressing forward, shouting, "Get out of my way!!!" Kyoshiro refuses, answering, "I cannot!! Because I am... the shogun's guard dog." Elsewhere, the alarm spreads through the Flower Capital: all soldiers are ordered out because a rebellion has started in the Bakura District, and the shogun has ordered them to subdue everyone at once, killing them if necessary.

In Wano Country, Udon, the prisoners watch the broadcast from the capital. Luffy roars at the images, "Keep it up, everyone!!" and "Take 'em dooooown!!!" cheering for his friends as they fight. Hyogoro realizes those are the people who came with Straw Hat and aimed for Orochi's head, laughing that they are an interesting bunch. The prisoners below shout, "Slice up that scummy guy!!" and "No!! Do it, Zoro!!" while another worries, "Are they your allies, Straw Hat-man!? Is this not bad for--!!" Then a report arrives for Queen: "Master Queen, the criminals our men caught in the Flower Capital have arrived!!"

Queen asks who the criminals are, and he is told that Kamazou the Manslayer is among them because he failed to complete the mission Lord Orochi gave him. The guards add that, on their way back, they unexpectedly captured Captain Kid, the man who escaped from the prison. The prisoners shout, "Whoa, it's Kamazou!! He's the talk of the town!!" and "We've brought Kamazou the Manslayer!!" Killer, still masked and bound, laughs, "Fa fa fa!!" Queen laughs, "Gyahaha, that was fast!! Escapes will be executed...!!" Luffy recognizes Kid immediately, yelling, "Spiky-guy!!" while Hyogoro scolds, "Kid~~!! You're such a fool!!"

Kid stands beaten and chained, but the cruelty that matters is beside him. The guards say they heard him yelling from the distance, that he rushed toward them, and that they shot him a couple of times without him even bothering to resist. Kid bitterly says, "I guess he forgot about his Seastone handcuffs!! Haha!!" but his attention is on Kamazou's laugh. He remembers that his comrade always hated that laugh, that one day he stopped laughing altogether, and that the person who dared laugh at him was left at the brink of death. Now the mask is gone, the laugh is uncontrollable, and Kid demands, "What did Kaidou do to you after we separated!? Or was it Orochi!? And where's the rest of our crew?! Answer me!!!"

Kid finally screams the name behind the mask: "Killer!!!!!!" Killer can only laugh back, "Fa fa!!" Luffy stares in horror, and Queen laughs at the spectacle. Kid asks, "What could they have done to you for you to act like this?" Luffy realizes, "That's... the mask guy from back then...!!?" Someone wonders if he tried to save his comrade who fell victim to the SMILE, calling it pitiful. Kid's rage becomes personal and absolute as he shouts across Udon, "Who did this to my partner!!!"

Kid and Killer are hoisted upside down and plunged into water, their bound bodies coughing and choking as the prisoners watch. Queen turns the capture into entertainment: "Now we've got even more prisoners to execute!!!" The crowd cheers and gasps, and Queen laughs, "Gyaha hahah!!" before ordering, "Sink 'em!!!" Some prisoners laugh helplessly with the SMILE curse, while others whisper, "How cruel... So he got caught in the end..." Queen, delighted with himself, says, "I just thought of a fun game!!"

Queen resumes the Great Sumo Inferno tournament and explains the rules of his new execution. Kid and Killer will remain in the water as long as Luffy and Hyogoro are alive; in other words, they will stay submerged until both fighters in the ring die. Luffy protests, "That's stupid!! I've got nothing to do with them!!" Queen points out that the blades inside Luffy's and Hyo's collars will kill them instantly if they leave the ring. Even notorious criminals with large bounties drown when submerged in a mere five centimeters of water, so Queen tells Luffy that if Kid and Killer are rivals from his generation, then he should stop hesitating and die immediately.

Luffy refuses to play Queen's game quietly. He charges forward and yells, "Then you should get in the ring!!! I'll take you down to end it all!!" Queen catches him with a mechanical grab and hurls him aside with a heavy swing, asking, "...Who do you think you're talking to?" The prisoners tremble because Queen has not had any o-shiruko today and is grumpy. Queen looks down on Luffy and Hyo and asks why they have foolishly clung to hope, whether they truly thought they would leave alive, and whether they truly thought they could win against him. He warns, "Don't get ahead of yourselves, you brats."

Queen declares, "You're all going to die! Every last one of you!!" Luffy answers from the dust, "Shut up!! I'm the one who'll decide...!" Then, with the whole prison shaking from a massive impact outside, he finishes, "Where I die!!!" The guards look toward the gate in alarm: "Huh!? What was that!?" and "We've lost all communication with the guards out there..." Chopper hears the crash and asks, "Hey, what's with that noise!?" The chapter ends as a huge shadow nears Udon and a hungry voice says, "O-Shiruko..." The craving is drawing closer.
