In a bustling Egghead street, a man in a plaid shirt turns and shouts, "...STILL OUT THERE SOMEWHEREI!" A massive scream erupts across the square: "わああああああ". Another figure points upward yelling, "DID HE JUST SAY THAT THERE ARE WORLD-SINKING WEAPONS... A TRUTH TOO HARD TO SWALLOW!!" Inside a ruined building, a portrait of a young woman hangs on the wall as voices debate: "WHY WOULD A WAR RAGE ON... IN TOTAL SECRECYI!" and "HOW CAN AN 800-YEAR-OLD WAR BE ONGOINGI! NO ONE FROM BACK THEN IS EVEN ALIVE TODAY!!!" A close-up shows an intense face declaring, "IN ALL SINCERITY..." followed by another echoing scream "わああああああ". The panel ends with a giant close-up of an eye and the shout "VEGAPUNK!!" accompanied by heavy rumbling sound effects "ゴゴゴゴ".

A stack of MISSING posters featuring a smiling young woman with long hair is shown. Nearby, a tearful close-up of the same woman appears. In another panel, a man with long hair sits at a desk holding a transponder snail while a small robot-like figure gestures beside him. Below, in a grand hall with a large portrait of an elderly man with glasses, a cloaked figure declares, "...AS THERE IS SOMETHING ELSE I MUST CONFESS!!" Another voice responds, "I WANT TO APOLOGIZE FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART..." The hall is filled with robed onlookers and a coffin-like structure labeled with Vegapunk's name. Two close-ups follow: a bandaged man saying, "AND WHILE IT REMAINS UNFINISHED..." and a stern man with a scar stating, "MY GOAL WAS ALWAYS TO CREATE AN ENERGY SOURCE TO FUEL SOCIETY'S DEVELOPMENT..."

Explosions rock Egghead as multiple speech bubbles erupt: "THAT SPOOKED ME TOO!!", "THE WHOLE GOSHODARN BASEMENT CAME CRASHIN' DOWN HERE WITH ALL THE CIPHER POL AGENTS IN TOW!!", "AH CAN'T GENERATE ANY MORE CLOUDS FOR THE STRAW HAT CREW...!!", "CAME CRASHING DOWNI! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLEI!" and "STUSSY, GET YOURSELF OUTTA THERE! ANOTHER MONSTROUS ELDER MUST BE HEADIN' UP!!" Vegapunk appears in a dramatic close-up, declaring, "THAT WAS QUITE THE TREMOR! ANY IDEA WHAT'S HAPPENING, EDISONI! I AM CERTAIN THAT ONE DAY, THIS UNDYING ENERGY CAN BE HARNESSED TO ENSURE THAT THE ENTIRE WORLD LIVES IN ABUNDANCE!! MY RESEARCH HAS CULMINATED IN THE MOTHER FLAME... ITS POWER HAS MANY PRACTICAL USES!!" Smaller panels show a fragment of the flame being stolen and machinery labeled "THIS BREAKTHROUGH IS MARRED, HOWEVER..." Chaos spreads as ships burn and Cipher Pol agents are trapped in flames. A Marine officer shouts, "THIS IS BAD! THEY'RE COMPLETELY SURROUNDED BY FLAMES! THE CIPHER POL AGENTS ARE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ISLAND!! I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS UNFORTUNATE EVENT...!!"

Inside the control room, a voice declares, "I DON'T WANT HIM TO SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES OF THIS...!!" Another asks, "EDISON... IS IT OKAY IF I LET KAKU GO FREEI" A reply follows: "DON'T WORRY, I WON'T LET HIM GO AFTER THE STRAW HATS... AND I DON'T THINK PURSUING THEM WILL BE HIS PRIORITY ANYWAY...!!" Stussy questions, "HUH...I" as the scene shifts. A helmeted figure apologizes, "IT DIDN'T OCCUR TO ME THAT THEY WERE YER FRIENDS!! FORGIVE ME FOR MAKIN' YA TURN ON 'EM!!" Stussy responds, "AH'M SORRY FOR PUTTIN' YA THROUGH ALL THIS. UNDERSTOOD, STUSSY!!" In the lower panels, the helmeted figure urges, "JUST FIND A WAY TO KEEP ON LIVIN'...!!" and "DO AS YA PLEASE... THAT INNER CONFLICT IS PROOF OF YOUR HUMANITY, STUSSY! DESPITE BEING TORN BETWEEN BOTH SIDES, YOU STILL RESCUED US..." Stussy answers, "YES, SIR!!"

A flashback unfolds as a voice recounts, "I LATER GOT THE NEWS THAT THE ENTIRE NATION HAD MYSTERIOUSLY VANISHED WITHOUT A TRACE." The speaker continues, "BEFORE LONG, MY EQUIPMENT REGISTERED THE WORLDWIDE EARTHQUAKES I MENTIONED EARLIER..." Observers note, "WE OBSERVED AN INTENSE GLOW EMANATING FROM ABOVE THE KINGDOM OF LULUSIA... TWO WEEKS AFTER THE FLAME FRAGMENT WAS STOLEN..." A shocked character cries, "LULUSIA...I!" and asks, "WHY WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT TO LULUSIA...I" A tearful woman exclaims, "ONLY THE MOTHER FLAME COULD SUPPLY THE IMMENSE ENERGY NEEDED TO CAUSE THIS TRAGEDY!!" A large man roars, "THIS MIGHT BE MY PRIDE AS A SCIENTIST TALKING, BUT I WAS CERTAIN OF ONE FACT... AN ANCIENT WEAPON DID THAT!" In the throne room, the king shouts, "MY VERY OWN INVENTION WAS USED TO POWER AN ANCIENT WEAPON!!" and orders, "HURRY AND CONFIRM IT!!" as others react with "YES, SIRI!" and "LULUSIA IS GONEI!"

Vegapunk confesses, "I AM AN ACCESSORY TO THIS ACT OF MASS MURDER. I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW REMORSEFUL I AM FOR MY PART IN THIS!! I AM TRULY SORRY!!" He adds, "THE MOTIVES AND ORIGIN OF THE PERPETRATORS ARE A MYSTERY TO ME... BUT IN THE END, IT ALL BOILS DOWN TO ONE HARD TRUTH." The scene shows a massive explosion and a black sphere. Vegapunk states, "THE DISASTER THAT FLOODED THE WORLD WAS MAN-MADE!!" as others react, "VEGAPUNK...!!" and "IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT!!" He concludes, "BUT THIS PROVES MY THEORY IS PLAUSIBLE..." In the next panels, a stitched-face character declares, "THERE WERE ONCE THREE GREAT ANCIENT WEAPONS...!!" as the group reacts in shock. Someone shouts, "LORD MOMONOSUKE...!!" and another exclaims, "SHUUSHA!!" while a voice cries, "HUUUHI! THEN PLUTON IS...!!!"

A skeletal figure questions, "THAT BEGS THE QUESTION... WHYI! HASN'T THE WORLD SUNK ENOUGHI!" while narration explains, "IT IS SAID THAT JOYBOY ATTEMPTED TO ENSURE THAT THEY WOULD BE PASSED ONTO FUTURE GENERATIONS!!" A woman with a high ponytail stands amid ruins as another voice notes the ambiguity of good and evil. In the next scene, a character warns, "CONSIDER THIS A WARNING!! WHEN THAT TIME COMES, EVERYONE WILL FEAR THE NOTION OF A SUNKEN WORLD!! YOU'RE GONNA CHOKE, IDIOT!! BUT THE DAY OF ANSWERS IS COMING!!" The final panels show a vast Marine base with the narration, "...THERE ARE THOSE WHO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED IN ITS ENTIRETY!!" as a voice states, "IS STILL AN ENIGMA, BUT... THE VOID CENTURY..." The large man reacts with shock amid rumbling sounds.

Vegapunk stands amid swirling smoke and debris, shouting with force as an explosion erupts behind him. "VEGAPUNK!!" reads the large SFX. A voice declares, "EVERYTHING... YOU'RE GOING TO EXPLAIN EVERYTHING..." In the next panel, a massive Marine headquarters building looms with "MARINE" visible on its facade. Below, shocked pirates react wildly. One yells, "PIRATES KNOWI! HOWI!" as a massive shark-like creature lunges forward with "ダォ!!!" SFX. Another figure gasps "HUUUHI!" while a close-up shows a bearded man with a fierce glare. The narration box states, "I AM REFERRING TO THE FORMER MEMBERS OF THE PIRATE KING'S CREW!!" Panic spreads as characters shout "ISN'T THAT DANGEROUSI!" and "WHY WOULD PIRATES KNOW THE WORLD'S SECRETSI!" amid falling debris and frantic expressions.

Inside a high-tech lab, a cloaked figure declares, "I CUT OFF MY MEMORY SYNCHRONIZATION! IT SHOULD'VE BEEN IMPOSSIBLE! NOT ONLY THAT, BUT I KNOW FOR A FACT YOU'RE A TERRIBLE LIAR AND A LOUSY ACTOR! HOW COULD YOU HAVE KNOWN ABOUT ME STEALING A FRAGMENT OF THE MOTHER FLAMEI!" A close-up shows a wide-eyed woman with sweat drops exclaiming, "HANG ON...!! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE, STELLAI!" Another panel reveals York reacting in surprise. The cloaked figure continues, "YOU GOT NEWS ABOUT LULUSIA... AND TOOK READINGSI! THIS WAS ALL YOUR DOINGI!" A woman presses, "YOU WERE GENUINELY SURPRISED, RIGHTI!" The scene shifts to chaotic action with figures tumbling as someone yells, "YOU WOULDN'T HAVE HIDDEN THE BROADCAST SNAIL!! OTHERWISE YOU WOULDN'T HAVE DONE ALL THIS." A final panel shows burning ships at sea with the line, "YOU MUST'VE KNOWN THE GOVERNMENT'S PLANS... WHAT DOES THAT MEANI! WHENI! THE TIMELINE DOESN'T ADD UP!!"

Vegapunk's aged face appears with the line, "WITHOUT A DOUBT! I'M A VEGAPUNK, TOO!!" A voice questions, "ARE YOU CERTAINI" Another states, "I WORKED OUT WHERE THE BROADCAST SNAIL IS!!" A woman shouts, "ELDERS!!" The snail itself is noted as "THE SNAIL IS..." A massive iron giant emerges from smoke and rubble in the center, with text declaring, "THE IRON GIANT IS GUARDING IT!!!...IN THE FABRIO-STRATUM!!" Impact lines and debris fly as the giant's glowing eyes fill the final panel with "!!I" and mechanical SFX.

A man calls out, "RAY-SAN!!" while another questions, "WHY DIDN'T THEY ACTI! WHY WOULD THEY FADE AWAY WITHOUT TELLING A SOULI" A large figure replies, "I'M SURE THEY KNEW OUR ENTIRE LOST HISTORY... SO WHYI" The scene shifts to a bar where an old man slumps over the counter, muttering, "JUST LIKE VEGAPUNK HERE. A BLABBERING OLD GEEZER WHO'S ALREADY SAID TOO MUCH. I'M OLD AND WASHED UP NOW... UUU~... YOU RARELY GET THIS WASTED... HAVEN'T YOU HAD ENOUGH BOOZEI" A woman seated nearby responds. The final spread shows a dramatic clash with the narration, "THE THRILL IS THEIRS TO SEEK NOW..." as "RIGHT, ROGERI" is spoken. SFX include "コツン!" and "CLUNK...!" The page ends with the One Piece logo, "...CH. 1116 /END." and "BREAK NEXT WEEK."
