THE NEVER-ENDING NIGHT

A ruined town square lies under a large moon and a church with crosses. Debris and collapsed buildings surround unconscious bodies. A large man in a striped outfit lies face-down with a barrel nearby. Luffy sits up groggily, sweat drops and question marks floating around him. He clutches his stomach and says, “UGH... MY STOMACH DOESN'T FEEL SO GOOD... URP.” In the next panel he looks around confused: “WHAT AM I DOING HERE...I HUHI” A large SFX “ゴォォォォ” rumbles overhead. Luffy then flops back down, declaring “I'LL JUST SLEEP.” while the big man beside him snores “ZZZ...” and another voice protests “BUT I'M STILL TOO SLEEPY.”

Rapid action panels show feet kicking and bodies flying with impact SFX “どた どたばた” and “はた”. A mustached man sweats nervously, saying “LET'S JUST HIDE OURSELVES UNTIL THOSE PIRATES LEAVE THIS ISLA-”. Another man with a scar yells “BUT... WHERE DO WE EVEN RUN TO NOWI ANYWHERE'S FINE, JUST NOT HERE!” while thinking “TO THINK THAT AGENTS WITH NUMBERS LESS THAN 12 WERE DEFEATED... I NEVER THOUGHT THOSE 4 WOULD ACTUALLY LOSE...!”. A massive vulture-like bird crashes into the scene with huge SFX “キィィィ!!”, sending people flying. A voice screams “AGHHH!” as the bird declares “IT'S THE UNLUCKIES, FRIDAY THE 13TH!”

A large wooden sign reads “SAPOTEN GRAVEYARD”. The Unluckies perch on it: a stern vulture and a spotted cat holding a bag. Close-ups show the cat’s narrowed eyes and the vulture’s goggles. Terrified men raise their hands, stammering “W-W-WAIT... WE WEREN'T UMM... T-TRYING TO R-RUN AWAY OR NOTHIN'... WE WERE JUST... GONNA GO TO THE W-WASH ROOM...!”. One man shouts “WAIT...!” as the vulture spreads its wings dramatically with a blinding flash and impact lines. Another man screams “GYAAAAA!” in terror.

At night in the town, a tall figure in heels and another in dark pants stand overlooking the streets filled with balloons and buildings. A voice mutters, "HMPH. I CAN'T BELIEVE WE WERE ORDERED TO COME ALL THE WAY OUT HERE TO THE FRONT LINES..." Another adds, "EVEN THOUGH IT'S THE DEAD OF THE NIGHT RIGHT NOW, THIS TOWN IS QUITE ROWDY." Townspeople confront the newcomers with guns drawn, shouting "I SAID WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!!!" and "W-WHA!I WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE!I" Close-ups reveal a smiling woman in a visor and large earrings labeled "MISS VALENTINE" and a stern man labeled "MR. 5," accompanied by bold SFX "どん!!" and "ん!!" as their identities are shown.

Explosive action erupts as a figure is kicked high with "DOWN YOU GO." and impact SFX "ドドドドド!!" and "しゅるるるるく." A close-up shows a man with goggles laughing, "THERE, THAT TAKES CARE OF THE CLEAN UP," while debris flies in the background with sounds "バキバキ ギシャア...ン." In the ruined streets of Whisky Peak, Gem (Mr. 5) stands with his arms crossed while Miss Valentine holds her parasol nearby. Igaram, still in his long wig and coat, faces them as Gem smirks. "KYAHA HAHA," laughs Miss Valentine. "THAT'S ONE REASON," Gem replies. A close-up shows Igaram sweating heavily, asking, "DID YOU JUST COME TO LAUGH AT US...I" Miss Valentine answers, "WE'VE OBVIOUSLY COME HERE FOR BUSINESS." Igaram drops to one knee, pleading, "THAT'S RIGHT... SO PLEASE, GO CRUSH THAT TROUBLESOME SWORDSMAN!" Gem laughs darkly, "KU... HAHAHA! WITH YOU TWO BACKING US UP, THOSE PIRATES STAND NO CHANCE...!" Gem's face twists in irritation as he snaps, "STOP JOKING AROUND." Smaller panels show Miss Valentine's surprised expression and Igaram's tense glare.

Gem glares upward. "YOU THINK WE'RE YOUR BACK-UPSI" he demands. The scene widens to show the devastated town square with bodies on the ground and a broken sign reading "OTENS" and "PIC." Gem continues, "YOU HONESTLY BELIEVE THAT WE'D BE ORDERED TO COME ALL THE WAY OUT HERE AT THE EDGE OF GRAND LINE, JUST TO HELP YOU FIGHT OFF A PESKY SWORDSMANI KYAHHAHAHA!" A close-up of Gem states, "A CRIME SEVERE ENOUGH THAT THE BOSS WOULD PERSONALLY DISPATCH US OUT HERE..." Igaram sweats, replying, "SURELY YOU MUST HAVE SOME HUNCHES..." and "THEN WHAT BUSINESS HAVE YOU COME HERE FOR...I" In the background, a duck-like figure lies among the rubble. Gem concludes, "OF COURSE, WE HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT SECRET MAY BE BUT..." while Igaram finishes the thought, "THE BOSS' DIRECT WORDS WERE, 'MY SECRET HAS BEEN FOUND OUT.'"

A close-up of Gem's face declares, "NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO PRY INTO THE REAL IDENTITIES OF OUR MEMBERS. OUR ORGANIZATION'S CREED IS 'SECRECY'..." He continues, "IT SEEMS AN AGENT OF A CERTAIN KINGDOM HAS INFILTRATED INTO BAROQUE WORKS. AFTER INVESTIGATING INTO THE MATTER, THUS, IT'S INEXCUSABLE FOR OUR BOSS' REAL IDENTITY TO BE KNOWN." A small panel shows Karoo shouting "QUACK!" Miss Valentine glares as Gem points and says, "WE KNOW IT'S NOT YOU." A panicked man in a crown protests, "WHA...! W-WAIT! I KNOW I WEAR A CROWN AND ALL BUT I'M NOT REALLY A KING!" The final panels show a gas-masked figure thinking, "IS THIS THE END!I" and "THEY'VE FOUND OUT ABOUT EVERYTHING...!"

Sanji peers through a scope on a bottle, muttering, "NOT GOOD... LUFFY'S CAUGHT OUT IN THE OPEN..." with a "SWOOSH" effect as he aims. In the square, Gem stands confidently and states, "THE SPY WE'RE TALKING ABOUT, IS THE ALABASTA KINGDOM'S-" A silhouette of Igaram lunges forward, shouting, "I WON'T LET YOU HARM HER!" Gem unleashes an explosive attack with massive "ブオオオオオオオ!!" sound effects and impact lines, yelling, "DIE! IGARA-PPAPA!" Igaram is blasted backward in a cloud of smoke and debris as the attack lands.

A massive explosion erupts with the sound ドゴゴゴゴゴ as Igaram leaps forward, declaring, "I SWEAR IT ON MY HONOUR AS THE HEAD OF ALABASTA'S ROYAL GUARDS!" Mr. 8!I someone shouts in shock. A close-up reveals Mr. 9's stern face behind sunglasses. In the next panels Igaram roars with fury, his hair wild, while voices cry "IGA-RAM!" and "PLEASE RUN AWAY!" Vivi is struck by a powerful blow, crying "AHH!" as Mr. 9 laughs "KYAHA HAHA!" and declares "HOW FUTILE."

Vivi glares with determination, sweat on her face, as she charges through debris with SFX ガザザザ and グッ. She takes a heavy hit, grunting "UGH!" and lands with a "THUD...!" Igaram lies injured on the ground while multiple voices shout "IGA-RAM!" Mr. 9 stands over the scene. A narrator box reveals: "IS IGARAM, THE HEAD OF ALABASTA KINGDOM'S ROYAL GUARDS! AND THE SECOND SPY... THE NAME OF THE SPY," as a cloaked figure watches from afar.

Mr. 9 smirks while holding up a wanted poster, announcing "IS NONE OTHER THAN ALABASTA'S PRINCESS HERSELF, NEFERTARI VIVI!" Vivi snaps back, "YOU MONSTER!" In the street below, townspeople react with confusion as Mr. 9 taunts, "Y-YOU WERE A PRINCESS, MS. WEDNESDAY!I" and "NOW'S NOT THE TIME FOR THIS, MR. 9!" Mr. 9 then declares, "UNDER THE DIRECT ORDERS OF OUR BAROQUE WORKS' BOSS, WE SHALL HEREBY ELIMINATE YOU TWO!"

Vivi spins her weapon with intense focus, shouting "DON'T YOU UNDERESTIMATE ME!" as she clashes with Mr. 9. Igaram blocks an attack, yelling "I'LL HOLD THEM OFF SO HURRY UP AND RUN AWAY, MS. WEDNESDAY!" Mr. 9 swings his massive "NEKKETSU NINE KONJO BAT! (Hot-blooded Gutsy Bat)" while Vivi cries "MR. 9!!!" and he retorts "BYE-BYE BABY!" The fierce exchange continues with dramatic impact lines and motion effects.

A suited man with sunglasses and a pompadour hairstyle stands dramatically, hands forming a finger-gun pose as he declares, "KNOW YOUR LIMITS!" Nearby panels show close-ups of his finger flicking with "GO." and another agent commenting, "HMPH. THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS TO US IS THE SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION OF OUR MISSION." A massive explosion erupts with "RYAH-HHH!" and "NOSE FANCY..." as debris flies. The man leaps into action, shouting "CANNON!" while flicking a booger that triggers a huge blast marked "ゴゴゴゴ!" and "FLICK!" with impact lines and "!!I" reactions from onlookers.

A duck-like creature named Carue quacks loudly, "QUACK!" as someone yells, "CARUE! RUN FOR IT!" and notes "SHE CAN'T ESCAPE FROM US... SHE RAN AWAY."

Mr. 5 points aggressively, laughing "ROGER, MR. 5! KYAHHAHAHA!" and orders "AFTER HER, MS. VALENTINE!" A horned man continues pleading, "I BEG OF YOU, SIR! PLEASE PROTECT THE PRINCESS! I SWEAR YOU SHALL BE REWARDED GREATLY...!" while coughing violently. Another figure reacts, "WHATI" to the reward talk. In a large panel, Nami smiles confidently, winking and pointing forward with "GRIN" as she declares, "HOW ABOUT A BILLION BELI THENI" and "ALRIGHT THEN!"
