Luffy's Dream

Waves crash violently around a distant ship as someone screams "He'd never kill Vivi's dad!!" and another voice yells "No way in hell!! This is a lie!!" The chapter title "CHAPTER 1060: LUFFY'S DREAM" appears in the center. In the next panels Luffy shouts with fury, "Sabo wouldn't do something like this in a million years!!" A Revolutionary Army member states, "The Revolutionary Army is against the World Nobles, not regular kings." Someone replies, "I'm with you there..." Three inset news panels report: "His daughter, Princess Vivi, is missing -", "King Cobra of Arabasta assassinated by Revolutionary Chief of Staff, Sabo -", and "Revolutionary Army declares war on Celestial Dragons."

Luffy reacts with shock, "Huh!I What!I" then declares, "The man's dead... Besides, Vivi was last seen at Mary Geoise! Like I've been saying, what good is that gonna doI Set course for Arabasta!! Right now!!" Crew members panic: "Are we headin' to Mary Geoise!I Not good!" and "Uwaaa! Where are you, Vivi-chyaan!I" Luffy yells at Zoro, "Simmer down!! I'm just saying we don't have any leads!! Damn straight!! What's wrong, ZoroI You chicken!I You moron!! That's the den of the enemy!! You wanna take on Navy HQ!I" Nami worries aloud while others react with tears and shock to the news that "Vivi's dad is deadI!" Luffy thanks someone quietly as the crew processes the loss of King Cobra.

In a city street, Brook stands with his cane, reflecting, "I'VE NEVER KNOWN ANYONE TO BE DISCONTENT WITH THE WAY ARABASTA IS RULED..." Nearby, Franky and Usopp converse: "THIS IS THE SAME BRO WE MET IN DRESSROSA, RIGHTI" and "SEEMS LIKE THIS YEAR'S REVERIE WAS QUITE TUMULTUOUS." The scene shifts to a tense moment where Sanji, with a serious expression, recalls, "LUFFY! Luffy reacts in shock, "AND BUGGY THE BOMBASTIC CLOWN BECAME AN EMPEROR!! THE CROSS GUILD WAS FOUNDED, AS A RESULT......DROVE THOSE ELITE PIRATES BACK TO THE SEAS. THE ABOLISHMENT OF THE WARLORDS... Nico Robin smiles while reading, saying, "OKAY, I'LL DO THAT. I WOULDN'T WANT TO OVERLOAD YOU WITH INFORMATION." Usopp and others react in the background. Robin continues, "NAH, I'LL LEAVE IT UP TO YOU!! JUST TELL ME IF THERE'S ANYTHING BIG TO KEEP AN EYE ON. HM......THE NEWS ABOUT THEM TOOI LUFFY... THERE ARE OTHER FAMILIAR NAMES IN HERE... WOULD YOU LIKE TO HEAR..." The scene cuts to a dramatic flashback of young Sabo being struck down, with the text, "DEFINITELY....HE HAD A REAL STRICT UPBRINGING. C'MON, THERE'S NO WAY ANYONE CAN DO THAT!!" He continues, "ACE, SABO... AND I GUESS THAT'S IT! THAT MEANS I ONLY TOLD SHANKS. NOPE! BUT IT WOULDN'T HAVE MADE MUCH OF A DIFFERENCE... THEY ALL LAUGHED! OH, AND SHANKS HAD SOME TEARS ROLLING DOWN HIS FACE! SHISHI SHISHI!! OHI HOW DID YOU REACTI...SINCE IT'S IMPOSSIBLE!!" The crew listens intently aboard the ship.

Nami rests her chin on her hand and smiles, saying "IT SURE SOUNDS LIKE YOU...". Chopper cheers with stars in his eyes, "THAT'S AWESOME, LUFFY!! YOUR DREAM'S AMAZING!!". Luffy lies back laughing "SHI SHISHI!!" while someone adds "...SO I CAN'T EXACTLY SAY IT'S NOT MY PROBLEM!! I SURE PICKED A TROUBLESOME CAPTAIN!!". Franky bursts out laughing "WAHA HAHA!!" and declares "WELL, I JOINED THIS CREW WILLINGLY...". From a high angle, Franky points and shouts "THEN IT'S OFF TO LAUGH TALE!!". Robin watches and remarks "YOU MAKE IT SOUND SO EASY, FRANKY.". Franky continues, "SINCE YOU GOTTA BE PIRATE KING TO EVEN MAKE THAT POSSIBLE, WE'D BETTER FIND THAT LAST LODE PONEGLYPH...". Robin looks serious and replies "WE DON'T EVEN HAVE A CLUE ON WHERE TO LOOK....SINCE THAT PONEGLYPH WAS LAST SEEN. IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME...".

At Navy HQ, the New World, alarms blare as officers react to an intercepted transmission. "WHERE IS IT COMING FROMI! WE HAVE TO PINPOINT THE ORIGIN!" one shouts. Another reports "IT'S FROM FLAME EMPEROR SABO TO THE KAMABAKKA QUEENDOM!! WE'VE INTERCEPTED A TRANS-MISSION!!". Inside the grand hall, marines trace the signal: "LULUSIA KINGDOM!! WHERE IS HEI WE'VE TRACED HIS POSITION!!". A marine warns "HE MUST BE DESPERATE. I DOUBT HE'LL SPEAK FOR LONG! HE'S NOT USING A WHITE TRANSPONDER SNAIL TO JAM HIS CALL!". Outside the ruined Lulusia Kingdom, Dragon stares at the waterfall and thinks "IT WOULD BE AN IDEAL PLACE FOR SABO TO SEEK REFUGE... THAT'S ONE OF THE EIGHT NATIONS THAT REBELLED A FEW DAYS AGO.". Sabo and Ivankov appear in close-up as someone murmurs "REALLY NOW... LULUSIA...".

Dragon sits with his hand on his chin and states "NO, THIS IS FATE.". Sabo looks on while another revolutionary says "HE'S AN UNLUCKY MAN...". An older man with glasses replies "I SEE...". The revolutionaries react with joy as an explosion erupts in the distance: "WE'RE SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE SAFE!! SABO!!". Sabo apologizes over the transponder snail, "SORRY, I KNOW I'VE CAUSED YOU ALL A LOT OF TROUBLE.". Voices from Kamabakka Queendom cry out "SABO-KUNI! KAMABAKKA QUEENDOM" and "WE'RE SO GLAD TO HEAR YOU'RE SAFE!!". Sabo continues, "OF COURSE NOT!! PERISH THE THOUGHT!! I TOTALLY HAD FAITH IN YOU!! WE KNEW YOU WERE INNOCENT, SABO-KUN...!!". A close-up shows Sabo shouting "I WASN'T THE ONE WHO KILLED KING COBRA!!" as a massive "BRAAR... BRAAR... DRAGON-SAN!!" call comes through. Someone urges "LISTEN, WHEN I WAS IN MARY GEOISE...".

On a distant shore, revolutionaries stare in shock at the sky above Lulusia Kingdom as massive dark clouds gather. "...THERE'S SOMETHING HUGE UP THERE... IT'S ALMOST LIKE..." one says. Another gasps "UNBELIEVABLEI!...I SAW SOMETHING UNBELIEVABLE...!!! THE SKY'S GETTING DARK... ARE THOSE CLOUDSI!". In the throne room, King Seki of Lulusia rages "YOUR MAJESTY... NO I MEAN... LORD SEKI... PLEASE JUST CONFESS TO YOUR CRIMES, WE DON'T WANT TO KILL YOU... MAKE SURE THEY LEAVE A FEW FOR ME, PAPA!! I'LL NEVER FORGIVE THESE DIRTY PLEBS!! WHEN NAVY HQ GETS WORD OF THIS TREASON, YOU'LL ALL BE IMPALED!! YOU HEATHENS WILL REGRET THIS!!". Princess Komane stands nearby. The king continues ranting as a transponder snail signal is cut: "CUT THE SIGNAL TO THE SURVEILLANCE DIVISION'S TRANSPONDER SNAILS!! IT HAPPENED IN THE THRONE ROOM AT PANGEA CASTLE... I THOUGHT THAT THERE WAS NO KING OF THE WORLD, BUT THE EMPTY THRONE WASN'T EMPTY!! I SAW...!! WHAT...I".

A massive dome-like structure looms under heavy rain and falling debris as narration declares, "...EXISTED." and "NEVER..." Tremors shake the ground with loud ドドドド SFX. On the right side, agents react in alarm: "WHAT IS UP THEREI A SHADOW...I" "AS FAR AS THE SURVEILLANCE DIVISION IS CONCERNED..." "NO ONE DETECTED ANYTHING ABNORMAL TODAY..." "PAPA, I'M SCARED!" A marine-like figure questions, "...I" while another states, "NO INFORMATION WAS INTERCEPTED..." The scene shifts to a bright light over ruins: "AS FOR LULUCIA..." An eye symbol appears as someone notes, "THAT COUNTRY..."

The Thousand Sunny tilts dangerously as the crew reacts: "LEAVE IT TO ME!!" "WE'VE GOTTA RUN, JINBE!! WE'LL BE SWALLOWED UP!!" "A RAPID TEMPERATURE CHANGE IS DANGEROUS!!" Brook notes, "OOOH!! IT LOOKS AN APRO ♪"

WHAT'S ALL THE COMMOTIONI" Brook unleashes, "BIRD DANCE!!" A crew member struggles, "THE WIND'S TOO STRONG!!" "AGH!!" as the sea churns wildly.

Explosions rock the area as Chopper is sent flying amid swirling smoke and debris. "AAA AAAH!" Chopper cries out. A voice shouts "CHOPPER!!" while another calls "LUFFY!!" Someone yells, "YOU'RE GETTING BLOWN AWAY TOOI!" A massive "PLOP" and "WOOSH!!" erupt as a shark-like creature bursts from the water. Chopper, dazed, asks "CHOPPER!! WHY DID YOU COME OUTI!" In a dramatic splash panel, Jewelry Bonney suddenly appears amid swirling clouds and impact lines. "A KID POPPED OUT!!" reads the narration.
