Admiral Akainu

At Marineford, Kizaru's light attack is intercepted by Marco, whose body is covered in blue phoenix flames. Marines shout that Marco took Kizaru's attack head-on and did not go down, asking what is with his body and whether he really has that ability. Someone calls him rarer even than a Logia: a mythical beast type Zoan fruit, with the power to take any attack and regenerate instantly in a burst of flames. Marco is identified as the first division commander, "Marco the Phoenix." Kizaru says, "Ya got me," and Marco answers, "You little liar."

Marco launches the counterattack. Kizaru calls him a liar while admitting the blow was pretty effective, and Marco drives Kizaru backward as the pirates cry, "Yessir!!!" The allied captains and Whitebeard Pirates roar, raising weapons and pushing across the ice. On the Marine side, huge enemies are reported approaching, and a Marine yells for the Giant Unit to watch out for aerial attacks. Jozu is praised for ultrahuge strength. The battlefield becomes a storm of commanders, captains, giants and admiral-level exchanges, with Kizaru's light and Marco's phoenix flames clashing above the frozen bay.

Akainu enters the battle from the execution platform area. Seeing the frozen bay and the enemy charge, he says, "Honestly... if we all join the battle, who is going to protect this place?" Marines call, "Akainu-san!!!" as his body bubbles and smokes with magma. A massive chunk of ice, too huge for the soldiers below, breaks loose and falls toward Marineford. Akainu steps forward and says, "Let's see you stop this...!!" His presence shifts the page from Whitebeard commanders against Kizaru to the threat of the magma admiral protecting the plaza.

Akainu obliterates the falling ice. A Marine shouts that the massive piece of ice is gone without a trace, and another says, "It evaporated...!!!" The battlefield then rains volcanic rocks as Akainu unleashes "Daifunka!!!" The page shows magma fists blasting through the sky and crashing down across the frozen bay and pirate ships. Pirates scream as "volcanic rocks!!!" drop among them. Akainu's magma power answers Aokiji's ice and Whitebeard's quake with raw destructive heat, turning the frozen surface into a field of flaming impacts.

The battle spreads across the ice and ships as the pirates keep charging. Whitebeard's side shouts that this will not be easy, while the Marines call out the vice admirals and Marine Headquarters forces. The frozen sea lets attackers run directly toward the plaza, but it also exposes them to cannon fire, giant troops and admiral attacks. Mihawk sends the world's greatest sword strike across the battlefield, but it is stopped before it can reach Whitebeard. The shock runs through the soldiers: "It was stopped!!!" and "The world's greatest sword strike was stopped!!!" The defender is the third division commander, "Diamond" Jozu, whose body has turned into glittering diamond. The impact sends shattered ice and debris flying, but Whitebeard remains untouched. Marines and pirates shout "Hawkeye!!!" as Mihawk and Jozu are set against each other, proving the Whitebeard commanders can answer even the Shichibukai's strongest blades.

The admiral and commander exchanges continue at high speed. Kizaru fires "Yasakani no Magatama," filling the air with light bullets, but Marco appears in blue flames and blocks the attack. Marines shout that the admiral's attack was blocked and ask who the figure covered in blue fire is, while others identify him as Marco, first division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates. Kizaru tells the Whitebeard Pirates they sure are scary, and Marco answers that Kizaru cannot have Whitebeard taken right off the bat. The page closes with the war's elite fighters fully engaged.
