PLEASE DIE!!!

Usopp plummets through the air above the sea, desperately shouting “WATER! WATER!” as massive impact lines and debris explode around him. The next panel shows him crashing into the water with a huge splash, still yelling “WATER! I NEED WAAAAATER!”. A small heart-marked speech bubble says “CHU!”. In the following panels Usopp surfaces and continues screaming “WATER!” while a voice off-panel cries “USOPP!”. Large stylized sound effects dominate the action.

In the final large panel the fish-man’s face fills the frame as he roars in disbelief: “DON’T YOU DARE UNDERESTIMATE ME! EVEN I...! EVEN I CAN DO IT! DID YOU SEE THAT, YOU FISH!” with heavy impact lines and sweat drops.

Nami stands before a wooden building in Cocoyasi Village, her back to the viewer. She turns and walks away down the empty street lined with houses and palm trees. In close-up she cries out with tears streaming, "I'VE ALREADY CRIED AS MUCH AS I CAN... COMPLAINED AS MUCH AS I CAN...!" Luffy, wearing his straw hat, wipes his face and shouts "AHHH!" as sweat flies. Nami continues walking with determination, declaring, "BUT I'VE MADE MY DECISION NOW! I HAVE TO GO...! EVERYONE'S ALREADY FIGHTING!"

A massive impact shakes Arlong Park as debris flies. Nami stands amid the rubble, surrounded by fallen fishmen. Nearby, Sanji and Usopp react in shock. Sanji says, "BUT IT KNOCKED THOSE TWO DOWN AND HAD THEM COUGHING UP BLOOD!" Usopp replies, "I DON'T KNOW... I THOUGHT HE ONLY THREW SOME WATER." Another voice asks, "WHA... WHAT DID THAT SHARK GUY JUST DO!I" Nami stares in disbelief, thinking, "AM I... DREAMING...!I" One fishman lies defeated on the ground as impact lines and debris fill the scene.

Sanji desperately pumps water from Luffy's body on the ground, shouting "PLEASE BREATHE! PLEASE...!" Luffy coughs violently. Nami watches with wide eyes as Luffy's hand twitches. Sanji yells, "WHAT HAPPENED TO BROTHER LUFFY!I DON'T TELL ME HE'S DEADI" Nami leans in, whispering "ALMOST THERE...!" Luffy's fingers move again. Sanji continues pumping while Nami urges, "COME BACK TO LIFE...! PLEASE!" Luffy's body jerks with each compression as the fight rages around them.

Arlong looms over the scene with a cruel grin, declaring, "JUST A LITTLE WATER'S MORE THAN ENOUGH TO KILL THE LIKES OF YOU... THIS IS THE DIFFERENCE IN POWER BETWEEN OUR RACES. I DON'T EVEN NEED TO TOUCH YOU PATHETIC HUMANS." Nami charges and delivers a powerful kick to his chest, yelling "SHUT THE HELL UP!" The blow lands with a "POTRINE SHOT! (chest)" as Arlong reels. Luffy watches with a determined glare. Impact lines and debris explode around the clash.

I DON'T WANT TO CHAIN DOWN A YOUNG WOMAN IF POSSIBLE." He offers "IF YOU AGREE TO JOIN THE ARLONG PIRATES AGAIN, I'M PLANNING TO KILL EVERYONE HERE RIGHT NOW BUT... OTHER THAN YOU," while Nami sweats nervously. In the background a fishman is slammed into rubble with "Ugh!" and "ドス!" SFX as Arlong states "THEY'VE PISSED ME OFF TOO MUCH. SO WILL YOU CHOOSE TO SIDE WITH...I I CAN'T SAY THE SAME FOR THESE GUYS, HOWEVER... I'LL SPECIALLY ALLOW FOR THE LIVES OF THOSE COCO YASHI VILLAGERS TO BE SPARED...!"

"YOUR INEVITABLE TRAGEDY IS ONLY TOO EASY TO SEE... OR WILL YOU SIDE WITH THESE WEAKLINGS AND ATTEMPT TO FIGHT ME...I" A defeated fighter groans, "ゴク...!!" Arlong continues, "...BUT OF COURSE, SEEING AS HOW YOUR MOST DEPENDABLE FIGHTERS HAVE BEEN REDUCED TO THIS SAD STATE, WILL YOU CHOOSE TO SIDE WITH ME AND SAVE YOUR FELLOW VILLAGERSI" In a massive close-up, Arlong's jagged teeth fill the frame as he leans in. "ARE YOU WITH MEI SO TELL ME, NAMI...!" At the bottom of the page, Nami stands frozen with wide eyes and sweat drops, staring at Arlong's feet planted on the fallen fighters. Arlong's voice booms from off-panel, "OR WITH THEM...I"

Nami's face fills the panel, sweat dripping as her thoughts race. "BUT IF I SAY I'M WITH ARLONG, I CAN SAVE ALL THE VILLAGERS...!! A SINGLE WORD FROM ME CAN DECIDE THE FATE OF ALL THEIR LIVES...!I...IF I SAY I'M WITH LUFFY AND THEM, EVERYONE WILL BE KILLED...!" Her expression twists in anguish. "I CAN'T DOUBT THEIR WORDS...! YOU ROTTEN MONSTER! YOU'RE STILL FORCING NAMI EITHER WAY!" A fist clenches tightly. "BUT... I...! OF COURSE I WILL!" In a sudden shift, Nami's face breaks into a wide, tearful smile. "DIE WITH ME!I BUT WOULD YOU PLEASE," she says. The final panel shows the villagers gathered with weapons raised, Luffy standing among them. Nami's voice carries, "I'M SORRY, EVERYONE!"

Arlong's eyes widen in shock. "AH! I SEE... SO YOU CHOOSE TO ALL DIE..." He lunges forward, "GRAB" and "UHH!" as he seizes Nami. The villagers erupt in fury, raising weapons and shouting "ALRIGHT!" with impact lines and "ドドドドド" sound effects. Arlong is struck hard, blood spraying as he reels back with a massive "BFFFT!" and "PFAHHH!" Nami lies on the ground while a striped-shirted fighter remains downed nearby. Arlong staggers, bloodied and furious.

A hand grips the striped fighter's leg. "OH, SO THAT'S HOW IT WAS... IT WORKED! NOW ALL WE HAVE TO DO IS FREE HIS LEGS!" someone exclaims. Arlong recoils, "WHAT!I" A mustached man shouts, "ARE YOU AWAKE!I HEY!" while another cries, "BROTHER LUFFY MUST BE...!" Luffy's enormous face bursts into the frame with a massive "BUHAAAAA!" and "BUHAHAHA!" as he laughs wildly, sweat flying and mouth wide open. Nearby figures react with shock and "AHHH!"

Luffy charges forward with a massive fist extended, sweat flying as motion lines streak behind him. A close-up shows Nami's face, wide-eyed and smiling faintly as she whispers, "zoro...". In the distance, a fishman pirate lunges at a group of villagers near a broken fountain, shouting "FIGHTEN". Luffy bites down hard on the fishman's arm, the creature yelling "BITE". The fishman snarls, "THAT'S MORE THAN ENOUGH TIME I NEED!" while Luffy replies, "30 SECONDS! I WON'T LAST ANY LONGER THAN THAT." The fishman realizes, "WHICH MEANS THAT RUBBER BRAT IS...!I" and notes, "THERE SHOULDN'T BE ANY FOUNTAIN OVER THERE..."

Zoro clashes swords with a massive fishman pirate who swings a jagged blade, yelling "DON'T PAY ANY NEED TO THAT." and "IT'S NOTHING AT ALL, YOU HALF-FISH MUTANT!" The fishman is knocked back with impact lines and "どんッ" SFX. Zoro is sent flying into the dirt as the fishman licks his lips and growls, "RORONOA ZORO...I DIDN'T I ALREADY TELL YOU TO NEVER CALL ME THAT AGAIN." Zoro counters with a spinning attack, shouting "EGG STAR!" as "SPLAT" and "LICK" effects mark the strikes.

Usopp stands on a rooftop overlooking the ruined plaza, declaring "THAT'S WHERE YOU ARE!I SO FIGHT WITHOUT ANY WORRIES! I'LL BACK YOU UP, ZORO!" Below, Luffy struggles while held down, groaning "HEY! CAN YOU TRY TO PULL YOURSELF OUT ON YOUR OWNI" and "NO, I CAN'T FEEL ANY STRENGTH IN MY BODY." Nami appears, smiling, "USOPP!" and reports, "NAMI!! I, ALL ALONE, TOOK DOWN ONE OF THEIR OFFICERS! ALL BY MYSELF!" In the background, a small figure clings to a tree, pleading "I WON'T LET YOU DO AS YOU PLEASE...!" while a skeleton-like figure watches from the shadows.
