CHAPTER 1002: EMPERORS VS. THE NEW GENERATION

High in the stormy sky, Kaido's massive dragon form coils through ominous clouds as a voice declares 'DESTRUCTIVE WIND...'. Below, Kin'emon stares upward with a grim expression. A sudden 'POP!!' erupts as a powerful blast of wind and energy explodes outward. Kaido's dragon head roars with a massive 'HAAAA AAAHH!!!' that shakes the air. The force hurls Kid and his massive mechanical arm through the air amid flying debris and shattered metal. Someone shouts 'KID!!' as the explosion rips across the battlefield.

Kid grins fiercely through blood and bruises, shouting 'BIG DEAL. IT'S MADE OF JUNK ANYWAY!' as his massive metal arm is torn apart by a spinning mechanical wheel that produces loud 'CLANG CLANG' impacts. Multiple rapid strikes land with sharp 'ZIR!!' and 'X' effects. In the chaos, Luffy stretches his arm back with the cry 'GOMU GOMU NO...' while a dragon-like head with sharp teeth lunges forward amid flying rubble and impact lines. The intense close-quarters battle continues with heavy motion effects and debris everywhere.

A massive mechanical dragon head crashes forward amid explosions and debris. The dragon's serpentine body coils violently as a powerful fist strike lands, with the attacker shouting "KONG...". The dragon reels from the impact. In the next sequence, the fighter unleashes a stretching rubber punch, yelling "RIFLE!!!" as the blow connects with tremendous force. The dragon's head is driven back, its jaws open in pain. Below, a skull-adorned mechanical section is labeled "GIBSON..." as the creature thrashes.

A small figure in a spotted hat declares, "...IS AROUND HERE!...BUT I RECKON THE HEART... I'VE NEVER DISSECTED A DRAGON BEFORE," followed by "POOF". The dragon roars in agony with "AAAAAA AAAAAAAR RRGGHHH!!!" as the fighter strikes with "GAMMA KNIFE!!!". The massive body is slammed into the ground with "SLAM!!", sending rocks flying. The dragon's head is pinned as the attacker continues the assault, ending with a pained "URGH..." and "PLINK!!" sound effects.

Kaido's dragon form snarls, "DAMN UPSTARTS!! SO YOU CAN COUNTER MY DURABILITYI! I GUESS YOU'RE NOT THE SUICIDAL FOOLS I TOOK YOU FOR!" The dragon coils and attacks, but the fighter dodges with "Z'... TAP". The attacker then declares, "BUT LOOKS LIKE I CAN GET THROUGH, IF I SLICE YOU UP FROM INSIDE!" while slashing the dragon's scales. Kaido retorts, "I'VE BEEN THROUGH HELL BECAUSE OF THIS TOUGH HIDE."

The fighter spins a massive scythe-like attack, shouting "SCYTHE!!! SONIC..." as the blade whirls into the dragon's body with "!!!!" impact. The dragon is hurled back amid debris. A follow-up strike lands with "VROOOOM" and "VROOOOM" effects. The dragon's head rears up roaring "AAAAAA AAAAAAAR RRGGHHH!!!" in fury as the battle rages on.

A massive serpentine dragon coils through stormy skies as a devastating strike lands. "INDRA!!" A close-up shows Big Mom's face twisted in manic glee, mouth wide open. Below, she cackles wildly, "MAAAAA MAMAMA HAHAHA HAHA!!!" Killer appears in the next panel, shouting his own name, "KILLER!!" as he is hurled backward through the air. In the bottom spread, Big Mom stands triumphantly atop a dark, grinning cloud formation, declaring, "...FOR ANYONE UNDER THE HEAVENS!! THERE'LL BE NO ESCAPE..."

A horned beast charges forward with a powerful attack, "RHINO SCHNEIDER!!" The creature snarls, "THESE BRATS ARE TOUGHER THAN EXPECTED..." In the lower panels, a man with a topknot flips his middle finger upward with a "POP!" and "FLIP", yelling, "I'M NOT A BABYSITTER DAMMIT!!" Nearby, another figure growls, "YOU INGRATES ARE TESTING MY PATIENCE!" while a third shouts, "TRAF, GIVE ME A BOOST!!"

A dragon unleashes a fiery blast, "BLAST BREATH!!!" while a swordsman counters with "FLAME SLICE!!!" The dragon recoils in shock, "WHAT!I" A small figure is sent flying as the panel reads "ONE-SWORD STYLE" and "ZORO!!" Below, a wide-eyed observer cries, "FLYING DRAGON... THAT'S NOT YOUR AVERAGE SWORD!!" Kaido's massive face appears, roaring, "KAIDO, DODGE!!"

A massive explosion erupts with the cry "BLAZE!!" A dragon-like head looms as a voice notes, "YOU REALLY UNDERESTIMATED HIM!!" Another panel questions, "EMANATING FROM HIS SWORD!I" and "WHY IS ODEN'S AURA..." Zoro appears with a fierce expression, shouting "ZORO!!" In the final panels, a wounded figure wheezes, "WHEEZE WHEEZE... DAMMIT!! I MISSED..."

Luffy stares in shock as massive lightning crashes down around him. "HUHI" he blurts. A huge dragon-like form coils through the sky while Big Mom's voice booms with laughter. "MAAAAA MAMAMAMAHAHAHA!!!" she cackles. "HEAVENLY DOMINION: SHIVA'S WRATH!!" The ground erupts in devastating lightning strikes. "YOU'RE ALL SITTING DUCKS NOW! THERE'S NO WAY OUT!" Big Mom roars. Luffy, rubber body crackling but unharmed, shouts back, "I'M MADE OF RUBBER!! STRAW HAT!! WHY WEREN'T YOU FRIED BY MY LIGHTNING!I" He glares furiously. "YOU'RE GONNA PAY FOR GOING AFTER ZORO AND THE OTHERS!!" Big Mom unleashes another blast. "BLAST BREATH!!!" Luffy is hurled through the air amid explosions and debris. "HEHE!" someone laughs amid the chaos as the fight rages on with massive impacts and "DOOOOM!" sounds.

Luffy launches a furious assault, fists stretching wildly. "GATLING!! GOMU GOMU NO..." he yells, unleashing a barrage of punches. "PUTTING EVERYTHING BEHIND HIS FISTS!!" The massive impacts send shockwaves as Big Mom is struck repeatedly. "GUAAAAA AAAAAAAA AAAHHHHH!!!" she screams in pain. Nearby, Big Mom's dragon form recoils. "IS THIS A TRICK...I" she mutters. "WHA-!I FIRE ISN'T EFFECTIVE EITHERI" Luffy answers defiantly, "NOPE! GUTS!" as he continues the relentless attack. The page ends with the chapter title and "NO BREAK NEXT WEEK" note.
