Brachiosaur-hiss

The story begins in the visitors' reception inside the castle, where a mysterious conversation is heard: "You think I'm lying?!" and "I didn't say that." The chapter title appears as "Chapter 1028: Brachiosaur-hiss." On the live floor, reports spread that a dragon other than Kaido appeared in front of them, that it matches the Devil Fruit Vegapunk made, and that it is fighting with "Straw Hat" Luffy against Kaido. CP0 listens calmly. One agent says it makes no difference to them and they can let the pirates take each other out, while another asks why they were called. The answer is that they have orders from above in the unlikely case that Kaido is defeated.

CP0 reveals the World Government's plan: if Kaido falls, it will annex the independent land of Wano. Government ships are already on the way, though one agent wonders how likely it is they will be needed. A Go board visualizes the battle's changing numbers: before the battle, 30,000 faced 5,400; now the count is 12,000 against 8,000. CP0 says the skirmish has become gripping and that the odds of the alliance actually beating Kaido are now impossible to ignore. One agent says he will await the report, but there is one more order concerning the Straw Hat crew.

Rob Lucci appears as a World Government intelligence agent of CP0 and gives the order: "Capture... Nico Robin!!!" He says that no matter how the battle ends, the significance of that woman's presence among pirates cannot be understated. The agents on Onigashima identify Robin, shouting, "It's Nico Robin!!" and "Seize her!!" Nearby, Brook carries Robin away while she says, "You're so dependable, Brook." Brook laughs, "Yohohoho!!" and says praise like that will go straight to his head. Robin answers, "We'll see to it." The page makes Robin the World Government's active target again while Brook protects her through the chaos.

In the skies above Wano, Onigashima is only five minutes away from the Flower Capital. Momonosuke cries, "Yamatooo!! The clouds won't come out!!" Yamato, riding beside him, says, "How can you be so cold-hearted, abandoning me?!" Momo insists he cannot lose himself and has to stay strong, then tries again: "Come forth, Flame Clouds!! Come forth!!" He panics between confidence and fear, saying he can do this, then asking whether he can do it, then saying he has to do it because if he cannot, countless people will die. Tiny puffs appear, but the island still hangs over the capital.

The Fire Festival continues below while Onigashima drifts closer, and Yamato thinks, "Dropping it is unthinkable... This oversized bomb must not go off!!" Yamato pants, then tells Momonosuke to listen. Yamato is heading back to the skull dome and says, "I may be able to minimize the potential destruction!!" Momo reacts in surprise. The page shows Yamato splitting the problem in two: Momo must create Flame Clouds and keep the island from falling, while Yamato heads inside to reduce the danger if the explosives detonate.

Yamato explains that the countless explosives are kept in the basement's giant armory. If Yamato does not do something about them now, the number of casualties will be exponentially higher should the worst happen. Momo asks whether Yamato intends to leave him there, and Yamato replies, "I'm counting on you, Momonosuke-kun!!" He transforms into wolf form, startling bystanders who shout, "Woah!! What a huge wolf!!" Yamato tells Momo, "I know... you can do it!!" and races back toward the dome. Momo is left alone with the impossible task of holding back Onigashima.

On the live floor inside the dome, Queen rampages with a spinning attack. The translator note says the furigana is "Brypan," while the kanji is "Flying Wind Fist." Queen shouts, "Muhahaha!!" and asks Sanji, "It's unstoppable, isn't it?! My Flying Pan!!" Sanji dodges and complains, "Get serious and use it already!!" but still admits, "So strong...!!" The page shifts the chapter from the island disaster back into Sanji's fight with Queen, where Queen's ridiculous machinery and dinosaur body keep forcing Sanji onto the defensive.

Queen tells Sanji to use "your Germa 66 Raid Suit!!" and reminds him that he vanished into thin air against King earlier, saying that must have been thanks to Judge's technology. The translator note says Queen is saying it as "Yansmoke" here, either a play on "vanish" or a typo. Queen urges, "Hurry up!! Put it on, Vinsmoke!!" Sanji snaps, "Don't call me that!! You don't understand what happened between me and my family!!" and insists the Vinsmokes are not even family and that he is not wearing that crappy suit. At the same time, Sanji worries that something is definitely up with his body.

Queen attacks with "...Coffee!!" but Sanji dodges, then ignites his leg with "Diable Jambe... Bien Cuit: Grill Shot!!" The flaming kick slams into Queen, blasting smoke and sparks across the floor. Sanji puts force behind the blow even while unsettled by his body's changes. The page shows that he can still hurt Queen with his normal fighting style, but Queen's durability and obsession with Germa keep the fight from settling into a clean martial exchange.

Queen crashes back but praises the attack, saying, "For a regular kick, that was impressive!" Sanji pants and realizes Queen's dinosaur hide is insanely tough, wondering if there has to be something he can do. Queen answers by saying he will show Sanji the unaltered raw power of a dinosaur. He twists his brachiosaurus body in a bizarre pose and declares that the sovereign beasts ruled the world for over a hundred million years. Spectators shout that the true power of an ancient beast is coming. Queen prepares the attack that gives the chapter its title.

Queen unveils "Brachio-saur-hiss!!" His long brachiosaurus neck and torso shoot out from the body like a serpent, leaving the legs behind. Everyone watching screams, "Whaaaaaaat?!" and "How the hell?!" as the supposedly dinosaur body splits apart. Queen calls it the true power of an ancient beast, but the surrounding reaction is pure disbelief. The page turns Queen's dinosaur mythology into absurd body horror comedy, with Sanji and the bystanders stunned by a form no one expected from a brachiosaurus.

Queen's serpentine body snaps around Sanji and crushes him in "My Brachio Hold!!" Queen boasts, "Muhahaha!! You were careless!! This serpentine form is the true nature of the brachiosaurus!!" Sanji protests, "How's that supposed to work?! Dammit!!" while Chopper cries, "San-goro-san!!" Queen declares that no one has ever escaped the hold. The page traps Sanji in a crushing coil and makes the physical danger real beneath the gag: Queen's ridiculous transformation is still strong enough to break him.

Queen says tons of Armament Haki masters have had their bones crushed under this pressure, with their innards damaged beyond repair. Chopper panics that Sanji will be killed. Queen says this is a disappointing performance for Judge's brat and that if Sanji shows him the capabilities of Germa, he might let him go. Sanji refuses and screams as the pressure continues. Queen then points out the legs he left behind and explains that, as a scientist, he equipped brachio launchers to his torso. As soon as he mentions them, they take aim and blow him up, because he only referenced them and did not tell Sanji to use the launcher. The page turns Queen's own weapon explanation against him.

Queen is blasted by his own brachio launcher and groans while a bystander calls it stupid. Sanji drops free, badly twisted, but says, "It stings a bit... but I can still move, no problem!" Chopper stares in horror and says all the bones in Sangoro-san's body are broken. Someone asks if Sanji is a zombie, and another says it is creepy. Queen dismisses him at first, saying he crushed Sanji with his coiling move and that Sanji is already as good as dead, but Sanji remains upright despite the grotesque injuries.

Sanji's body suddenly snaps back into shape, and he says, "I'm back to normal!" Chopper yells, "Sanji!! Look ouuut!!" Queen swings a sword down on Sanji, but the blade shatters against Sanji's neck while Sanji only says, "Ouch!" Queen reacts in shock, asking, "What the hell?!" Sanji realizes with horror, "Don't tell me I've awakened the same ability they have...?" He says, "What the hell is with my body...?!" and then, "This sucks!! I don't want to be a monster too!" The chapter ends with "Awakening to new powers?!" and a "Break next week" notice.
