Bakura Town

A wide view of Bakura Town in Wano Country shows a festive atmosphere with lanterns, traditional buildings, and a distant sumo ring. A man with pigtails and a black hat chews loudly, saying "MUNCH MUNCH". He declares, "I ABSOLUTELY WANT TO MAKE O-KIKU MY WIFE, NO MATTER WHAT IT TAKES....I RETREATED EARLIER BECAUSE OF THE WEIRD AURA THAT RONIN HAD, BUT..." A woman with long dark hair listens as he continues, "SHE'S FROM THE TOWN OF LEFTOVERS, RIGHTI THE PEOPLE THERE ARE LOW-CLASS INDIVIDUALS WHO AREN'T ALLOWED TO ENTER OROCHI'S TERRITORY. DON'T WORRY ABOUT SOMETHING SO USELESS, YOU IDIOT. I HAVE MY SOCIAL STANDING, MY FAME, AND SAFE FOOD TO PROVIDE FOR HER. THERE'S NO WAY SHE CAN REJECT ME!!" In the background a small animal makes "SQUEAK SQUEAK SQUEAK!!" sounds while another figure suggests, "YOU SHOULD JUST TAKE HER BY FORCE AND BURN HER HOUSE DOWN."

Mouseman, labeled "GIFTERS MOUSEMAN MOUSE SMILE USER", looms with a wide grin, declaring, "YOU HAVE SAMURAI BLOOD IN YOUR VEINS!! THIS COUNTRY HAS A CLEAR SOCIAL HIERARCHY, YOU KNOW!! HELL, YOU COULD EVEN KILL HER ENTIRE FAMILY SO THAT SHE DOESN'T HAVE A HOME TO RETURN TO. ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS ENSURE SHE CANNOT SURVIVE WITHOUT YOU." He laughs "HEHEHE..." and agrees, "I GUESS YOU'RE RIGHT. A NATIONAL SUPERSTAR ATHLETE SUCH AS YOURSELF DOESN'T NEED TO SHOW RESTRAINT IN DEALING WITH THE LOWER CLASS. YOU'LL JUST SET A BAD EXAMPLE FOR OTHERS!!" In a nearby scene a man in checkered clothing reacts with shock "HUH!I" as a voice demands, "COOK IT AND FEED IT TO ME!!" Another figure yells, "YOKOZUNA!! DID OUR OFFERING NOT SUIT YOUR TASTESI!" while a small tanuki-like creature scurries away. A voice shouts, "I LOVE RACCOON DOG MEAT. I SEE A RACCOON DOG OVER THERE!!!" The man tumbles violently with "TUMBLE..." effects.

Outside a traditional building in Bakura Town, a box notes "WITHIN BAKURA TOWN - AT A CERTAIN RESIDENCE..." A figure labeled Gazelleman pants heavily with "HUFF... HUFF..." and "WHEEZE... HUFF..." sounds while asking, "GAZELLEMAN... SHE'S THE ONE, RIGHTI AS EXPECTED, YOU BROUGHT HER HERE QUICKLY..." A young woman with a topknot glares angrily, sweat flying, and shouts, "...I AIN'T GONNA CRY!!!" Nearby voices wheeze and huff as one says, "OH, POOR CHILD... SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE'S ABOUT TO CRY." In the next panels the same woman continues panting while scolding, "YOUR CONSTANT WHEEZING IS ANNOYING!! THAT'S ENOUGH, GET OUT OF THE WAY OF YOUR ENDURANCE, YOU FOOL!!" Gazelleman clutches his sides in pain, exclaiming, "MY SIDES HURT...!!!" Other figures watch from the background as the group catches their breath with repeated "WHEEZE... HUFF..." effects.

Inside a dim room, the massive Beast Pirates Headliner Holdem looms on a cushion, his lion Smile-user body dominating the space. A small girl with a flower in her hair stands terrified before him, tears streaming down her face. Holdem roars, "STOP STARING AT MY FACE ALL THE TIME!!" The girl screams, "UWAAA AGHNNNN, HE'S SO SCAAAAR RYYYY!!" while another voice cries out, "HE HAS A LION COMIN' OUT OF HIS STOMAAAA AAACH!!" Holdem's inner lion bares its fangs and growls as the girl recoils in horror. An earlier voice had snapped, "I WASN'T TALKING TO YOU!!"

Holdem glares down and demands, "WHY ARE YOU LOOKING AT ME SO DEFIANTLY!I" The lion within him snarls, "GRR RRRRR ROWL..." Suddenly the beast lunges forward in a violent burst. The girl is hurled aside as the lion's head snaps out, jaws wide. Voices shout, "GYAAAA AAAHHH HHHH!!!" and "THERE IT IS!!! THE LION'S BULLSEYE SHOT!!" The creature's massive form twists and attacks while bystanders react in shock. Holdem's subordinates ask, "MASTER HOLDEM! WHAT SHOULD WE DO WITH THIS GIRLI" and note, "WHY WON'T THAT BEAST LEARN..." The lion roars, "GRRROO OOOWWLL LLLL!!!" as the girl watches in fear.

In a spacious hall, several figures confront the girl. One demands, "YOU MUST HAVE THE POWER OF AN ACTUAL DEVIL FRUIT!" while others question how she tamed a baboon alone. The girl, O-Tama, nervously replies, "I'M JUST REALLY GOOD WITH ANIMALS, THAT'S ALL!!" A stern voice warns, "THAT'S WHY YOU MUSTN'T USE YOUR POWERS IN FRONT OF OTHERS!!" and another adds, "O-TAMA!! THAT POWER OF YOURS WOULD BE VERY USEFUL..." The lion growls nearby. Later, O-Tama calls out, "HELP ME, BIG BRO...!!!" as Luffy's face appears with a shocked expression. A voice asks, "HEY, YOU! BRING ME SOME PLIERS!!" while another notes, "...THEY DEFINITELY SAID THAT YOU PULLED SOMETHING OFF OF YOUR CHEEK."

Luffy grins widely as O-Tama is grabbed from behind, a hand covering her mouth while she struggles. She manages muffled protests as Luffy shouts, "NO, LUFFY-TARO!!" Outside the town gate labeled "WANO COUNTRY-KURI: BAKURA TOWN'S MAIN GATE...", chaos erupts. O-Tama is carried away on the back of a large spotted creature while Luffy gives chase with a determined glare. Townspeople react in alarm; one yells, "HEY!! WHO ARE YOU PEOPLEI" Another warns, "STOP RIGHT THERE!!" and notes, "THERE ISN'T ANY RECORD OF THEM LEAVING THE TOWN." O-Tama screams, "TAMAA AAAAAA AAA!!!" as the beast flees through the streets. Luffy's eyes widen in shock at the unfolding scene.

A woman stares in shock, sweat flying as she gasps "HUH!I" Explosions and smoke erupt violently around her with sharp impact lines and "!!" reactions. In the bustling streets of Bakura Town, an old man in a robe remarks, "...BUT I SEE PEOPLE HERE THAT DON'T LOOK LIKE FIGHTERS AS WELL. WHY'S THATI" A spiky-haired man replies, "IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE ANY OF THEM WILL TELL US." Another voice asks, "HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO FIND HERI" Someone states flatly, "HAKI." A companion wonders, "DID YOU DO SOMETHINGI" A massive komainu rears up, barking "WOOF! WOOF!" as onlookers shout, "THAT'S A HUGE KOMAINU!! WHO DOES IT BELONG TOI!" Narration fills the lower panels: "UNTIL AROUND 20 YEARS AGO, THIS WAS AN ENERGETIC TOWN THAT STOOD AT THE BASE OF THE CASTLE......BUT THEN, OROCHI'S SUBORDINATES BEGAN TO TAKE WHATEVER HOUSES THEY LIKED FOR THEMSELVES!! THE PEOPLE LIVING HERE HAVE BEEN LIVING HERE THEIR ENTIRE LIVES." Townsfolk go about their business amid the tension.

Narration continues over the changed town: "THE REST WERE FORCED OUT OF THE TOWN. ONLY ESSENTIAL MERCHANTS AND TRADESMEN WERE ALLOWED TO REMAIN. THIS IS WHAT BAKURA TOWN HAS BECOME." A black-and-white spotted creature dashes through the streets. In a sudden clash, a sumo wrestler is sent flying with a massive impact "ガッ!!" and a scream "WAAAAAH!!!" Luffy, arms crossed and scowling, turns with a sharp "HMI" Nearby voices react: "IS THERE A SUMO MATCH NEARBY!I" "A SUMO WRESTLER JUST CAME FLYING THIS WAY..." "THERE MUST BE SOMETHING GOING ON AROUND HERE..." An injured wrestler lies dazed, muttering, "COULD HE REALLY HAVE BEEN BLOWN THIS FAR BY ANOTHER SUMO WRESTLER!I"

A massive sumo wrestler named Urashima looms over the ring, flexing with overwhelming presence as the crowd cheers. Signs and commentary declare: "AS EXPECTED, WILL NOBODY TOPPLE HIMI" "OVERWHELMING STRENGTH!!!" "URASHIMA IS SO BIG AND STRONGGG GGGGGG!" "HE'S SO STRONG...!!!" A sign reads "WANO COUNTRY SUMO WRESTLER - YOKOZUNA URASHIMA." Spectators shout, "HE'S MANAGED TO TAKE DOWN 19 PEOPLE, ALL ON HIS OWN!!" "IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THE RING...!!!" "IF THERE'S ANYONE WHO IS CONFIDENT IN THEIR ABILITY... COME AND TRY YOUR LUCK!!" "WE'RE HAVING A SPECIAL COMPETITION TODAY!! WHOEVER IS ABLE TO TAKE DOWN URASHIMA WILL EARN A HEFTY 500 GOLD!!" A confident fighter steps forward, declaring, "WE HAVE A PERFECT PLAN. WE'LL CLAIM THAT PRIZE!!" while another warns, "HE'S TOO STRONG!! THERE'S NO WAY ANYBODY WILL BET AGAINST HIM!"

The crowd tallies Urashima's brutal record: "THAT'S 88 BROKEN BONES IN TOTAL! AND FOUR CONTESTANTS ARE UNACCOUNTED FOR!!!" "4 SKULLS, 7 SPINES." "10 ARMS, 15 LEGS, 52 RIBS..." "HOW MANY BONES HAS HE BROKENI ON THE OTHER HAND..." A doctor and others react in horror. The announcer hypes, "THE UNDEFEATED MONSTER... YOKOZUNA, URASHIMA!!! HIS STRENGTH IS ALMOST INHUMAN!!" Urashima roars as bets are placed: "TAKE DOWN URASHIMA!! I PLACED MY BET ON YOU GUYS!!" A woman cheers, "MASTER URASHIMA AAAAA..." The match official shouts, "READY, SET... BEGIN!!" with a loud "SLAP!!" Urashima charges forward while a top-hatted man watches with a skeptical "HMMMI"

In Bakura Town, the massive sumo wrestler Urashima looms with hearts floating around him, shouting at O-Kiku, "SO YOU FOLLOWED ME HERE AFTER ALL! HAVE YOU DECIDED TO BE MY BRIDEI!" O-Kiku stands nearby with Luffy, looking tense as Urashima declares his affection with dramatic flair. Townspeople react in shock: "WHAT A HUGE SCANDAL!" "WHAT A LUCKY GAL!! IT'S A TALE OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!!" "WHAT A WILD TURN OF EVENTS!! TO THINK THAT A WOMAN HAS ALREADY SWORN HERSELF TO URASHIMA!!" and "WHAT DID HE SAY!I SHE'S GOING TO MARRY URASHIMA...I" Urashima continues boasting, "I WILL... I WILL SHOW YOU HOW COOL I CAN BE!! COME WATCH IF YOU'RE INTERESTED!! THERE'S A TOURNAMENT HAPPENING IN BAKURA TOWN LATER TODAY!" O-Kiku turns away with a troubled expression, thinking "HE DECIDES EVERYTHING ON HIS OWN..." while Luffy looks on. She murmurs, "UGH... THERE'S NO POINT IN HIDING BEHIND ME."

Urashima's underlings cheer him on as he laughs triumphantly, "O-KIKU CAME TO SEE ME!! YOU LOT, ESCORT HER TO ME!!" while one says "I ADMIRE YOU EVEN MORE, NOW!! BUT I SHOULD'VE EXPECTED AS MUCH!!" and another adds "BIG BRO, YOU'RE MUCH BETTER WITH THE LADIES THAN I THOUGHT YOU WERE!!" Luffy bursts forward angrily, demanding, "...TELL ME WHERE WE CAN FIND THE BOSS OF THIS TOWN!! SHE SHOULD BE WITH HIM!! HEY, MORE IMPORTANTLY... WE'RE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE!! SHE'S A KID NAMED TAMA!!" Chaos erupts as Urashima's men are cut down. One yells, "CUTTING DOWN NAKED MEN IS A BIT... HEY, ZORO, WHY'D YOU LET THEM TAKE HER!I" A woman screams "KYAAA AAAH!!" while onlookers comment, "SHE'S A BIT BIGGER WHEN COMPARED TO A NORMAL WOMAN, BUT SHE'S PERFECT FOR URASHIMA!!" and "THAT WOMAN!! WHAT A VEXING CINDERELLA STORY!!"

O-Kiku slices through the air with her sword, declaring, "SURELY, YOU JEST. THE ONLY VULGAR THING HERE IS YOUR HEART." Urashima recoils in shock as she attacks. He roars back, "REALLY!I ISN'T THAT IMPUDENT FOR A GIRL OF SUCH LOW-CLASS TO ENTER THIS TOWN!! YOUR LIVES ARE INSIGNIFICANT... IT IS I WHO DECIDES WHETHER YOU LIVE... OR WHETHER YOU DIE BY MY HAND!! SILENCE, YOU FILTHY COMMONERS!! IN THE EYES OF A SAMURAI... YOU'RE ALL LOWER CLASS!!" He then pleads, "ISN'T THAT RIGHT, O-KIKUUUUUU!I BECOME MY WIFEEEEEE." Luffy watches excitedly from the side, shouting, "IT'S GETTING INTERESTING NOW!!! IT'S TOO EARLY TO BE CALLING THE BOSS OUT!! AWESOOOMMM MMEEEEE!!! KIKU IS SO COOL!!" A narrator box notes the chapter end as the crowd reacts with screams and the yokozuna's top-knot is highlighted.
