Two days after the incident, the sea train is due to arrive shortly at Water Seven. At Blue Station, Zoro tries to return a sword and is told, "PLEASE DOUBLE-CHECK YOUR BELONGINGS AND..." while someone begs, "I DON'T NEED MONEY!!! PLEASE KEEP IT!!!" Outside, the train will arrive soon, but the city is still scarred. People stare at the devastation and say, "THE DESTRUCTIVE POWER OF THIS YEAR'S AQUA LAGUNA... WAS REALLY OVERWHELMING... THIS ISN'T SOMETHING WE CAN FIX ON OUR OWN..."

Water Seven's workers immediately organize the rebuilding. Paulie yells through a loudspeaker, "BASTARDS, JUST BACK OFF!! YOU'RE GETTING IN OUR WAY!!!" and dispatches crews: "PAULIE FROM THE FIRST DOCK!! WHY DID HE COME ALL THE WAY TO THE BACKSTREET!?" Workers answer, "AYE AYE!!" and "GET TO IT!!" He orders the fifth dock to handle the residential area and all the way to the neighboring area of the scrap-ship island. Even exhausted, they promise regular work hours, saying they can finish fixing the backstreets within a month. The townspeople shout, "WHOA! GALLEY-LA GUYS ARE SO RELIABLE!!!"

At Franky House on the North Shore, the Franky Family rebuilds amid wreckage. One says, "HAA... IT'S PRETTY TOUGH TO REBUILD." Another laughs, "WE'RE GOOD AT DESTROYING STUFF THOUGH!!" They decide they will be camping outside again tonight. Nearby, Sodom and Gomorrah are resting; someone tells them, "YOU GUYS SHOULD TAKE A GOOD REST, OKAY?" and explains, "GOMORRAH'S EYES WILL BE HEALED IF HE RESTS QUIETLY!!" At Shipyard Island's First Dock, civilians crowd outside and demand to meet the pirates, thank Iceburg's saviors, and apologize for calling them assassins.

Oimo and Kashi help lift debris, and the crowd is stunned: "AMAZING!! WHAT SUPER-HUMAN STRENGTH!!!" The workers cheer, "PRAISE THE GIANTS!!" and say, "WE'RE GLAD TO HELP!!" The giants explain that if their bosses are still fighting, they have decided to go back to Elbaf after helping the island for a while. When someone asks Sogeking if it is okay for him to stay, he cannot answer properly. A giant laughs, "IF YOU LIKE ELBAF SO MUCH, WE CAN TAKE YOU ALONG!! WAHAHA."

At the temporary Galley-La headquarters and Iceburg's house, Iceburg sits with Franky. The blueprints are gone, and Franky asks, "BURNT, HUH...?" Iceburg answers, "IT'S FOR THE BEST... YOU INCURRED THE GOVERNMENT'S ILL WILL, DIDN'T YOU?" Franky asks what he has been drawing, and Iceburg replies that Water Seven's residents must have become anxious because of this Aqua Laguna. They might think the day the island sinks closer to the bottom of the sea is getting closer. Iceburg reveals his answer: "I'LL MAKE THIS ISLAND FLOAT ON THE SEA."

Franky is shocked by Iceburg's plan. "YOU'RE TURNING THE WATER 7... INTO A SHIP...!? IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE?" he asks. Iceburg reminds him of Tom: "DIDN'T WE USE TO LOOK AT A GREAT MAN'S BACK WHO MADE THE IMPOSSIBLE POSSIBLE? IF YOU'RE A MAN, DO THINGS WITH A DON." Franky smiles and says, "... HEE HEE!! YOU'RE JUST LIKE TOM-SAN..." Then Kokoro arrives with Yokozuna outside. The supplies Franky bought with the 200 million beri have arrived by sea, and Franky asks, "AH!! IS THIS BRO!!?"

Inside the temporary quarters, Yokozuna bursts in with "GERO!" and Chopper calls, "KOKORO-SAN." Everyone has finally awakened after sleeping for two whole days. Kokoro says, "YOU MUST'VE BEEN REALLY TIRED - YOU SLEPT FOR TWO WHOLE DAYS." Luffy is more energetic than ever, still eating, and Sanji explains, "HE HATES MISSING HIS MEALS AFTER FIGHTS." The crew is battered, but alive, fed, and finally able to rest.

Luffy eats so deeply in his sleep that someone marvels, "SO HE SOMEHOW LEARNED HOW TO EAT WHILE SLEEPING." Others cry, "HE'S SLEEPING LIKE THAT!?" and "PIRATE BRO'S AMAZING!" Nami says the Log Pose should be ready in a couple of days, but they cannot really go anywhere yet. The 100 million beri to buy a new ship, all their clothes and furniture, and Bellemere-san's mikan trees were taken by Aqua Laguna and stored in the backstreet's inn. Until they recover everything, they are stuck in Water Seven.

The belongings return, and Nami hugs her trees with a cry: "MIKAN TREES-!!! I NEVER THOUGHT I'D SEE THEM AGAIN!! I'M SO HAPPY-!!" The townspeople apologize: "WE TOOK ALL YOUR BELONGINGS WHEN WE KICKED YOU OUT BECAUSE WE THOUGHT YOU WERE ICEBURG-SAN'S ASSASSINS. SORRY ABOUT THAT." Chopper comes back proudly, saying, "I EXAMINED THE FRANKY FAMILY'S INJURIES. I DIDN'T TAKE MY EYE OFF ROBIN, EITHER!!" The others praise him, and Robin smiles that she will not go anywhere anymore. Usopp celebrates too: their money and belongings are safe, and the adventure can continue.

Franky bursts into the room with news. "AOU! YOU GUYS BEING SUPER...!? ALL OF YOU... MEH, NOT ALL OF YOU ARE HERE, BUT IT'S ALL RIGHT!!" he says, then announces, "GUYS, I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO TELL YOU! LISTEN!!" He talks about an island with a never-ending war where, even if a huge tree never fell, people used it to rebuild towns and nations. The strongest tree's name is "Treasure Tree Adam." Franky has found the material worthy of a ship that can survive any sea.

Franky explains that parts of Treasure Tree Adam appear on the black market once in a while. He has always wanted them, but they cost nearly 200 million beri. Then the Straw Hats appeared: "A PIRATE GROUP WITH A LOT OF MONEY." Nami is furious and shouts, "BASTARD!!! DON'T TELL ME YOU BOUGHT THAT CRAP WITH OUR MONEY!!?" Franky tells her to listen. Before he knew it, he was already drawing blueprints because he wanted to catch up to the person he looked up to. His dream is clear: "MY DREAM IS TO MAKE A 'DREAM SHIP' WITH THE TREASURE TREE THAT CAN CROSS ANY SEA!!!"

Franky says he now has both the parts from the Treasure Tree and the blueprints for a ship ready. "I'LL BUILD THIS SHIP NOW!!" he declares. Then, with all his pride exposed, he asks, "WHEN I FINISH IT, WILL YOU GUYS SAIL WITH THE SHIP THAT I MADE!!?" Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Robin, and Chopper are stunned. Franky says he got the money from them anyway, and what would make him happiest is to have someone sail with it.

Kokoro laughs that it cannot be helped: Franky and Tom are the same kind of shipwrights. Franky promises, "I'LL MAKE A TERRIFIC SHIP." He adds that Gol D. Roger's "Oro Jackson," the only ship that managed to go around the world, was also made with parts of Treasure Tree Adam. The Straw Hats erupt. "YOU'RE SUCH A GOOD GUY!! WE'LL TAKE IT!!! THANKS, FRANKY~~~!!!" they shout, and Luffy cheers, "WUUOOOH, WE CAN GO TO THE NEXT ISLAND!!" Zoro, however, is still sleeping elsewhere and wakes with a start: "CRAP, I'VE GOTTA TELL THEM!! LUFFY'S STILL SLEEPING, TOO!!"

A Marine warship arrives outside Galley-La Company, and panic spreads. Someone cries, "GOOD GOD!! THEY CAME TO ARREST THE PIRATES..." and another says, "... EVEN THOUGH THEY SAVED ICEBURG-SAN!!!" The ship belongs to Vice Admiral Garp from Headquarters. People whisper, "'GARP'... YOU MEAN... THE LEGENDARY MARINE WHO CORNERED THE PIRATE KING GOLD ROGER WHEN HE WAS STILL AROUND!?" Marines line up outside the building while civilians insist there should be pirates inside, and the front line tries to hold them back.

Inside, Luffy and the others sense trouble. Someone shouts, "WAIT!! THE STRAWHATS ARE-" but Garp orders, "WAIT HERE, BOTH OF YOU." The Marines answer, "YES, SIR!!" He crashes straight into the building and stands over the Straw Hats, saying, "YOU... ARE THE STRAWHAT'S CREW, AREN'T YOU?" The room explodes in confusion. "WHAT...!?" "WHO IS IT!?" The crew braces, unable to tell whether the legendary Marine has come as an enemy or something stranger.

Garp announces, "I BROUGHT SOMEONE I WANT MONKEY D. LUFFY TO MEET..." Sanji, Chopper, and Franky shout, "MARINES...!!!" while Luffy keeps snoring. Garp solves the problem by smashing through the floor and punching Luffy awake. "WAKE UP~~~!!!" he roars. Luffy yells, "OUCH!?" and "OO-OUCH!!!" in disbelief. When someone says a punch should not hurt his rubber body, Garp answers that it would not hurt rubber. This, however, is a punch of something else.

Garp grins down at Luffy and says, "I HEARD YOU'VE BEEN DOING RECKLESS THINGS." When someone asks whether anyone can escape the fist of love, Luffy finally recognizes him in terror: "GRANDPA!!!" The whole room explodes. Sanji and the others shout, "WHAT!?" while Chopper cries, "GRANDPA!!?" Luffy's legendary Marine pursuer is not just a Marine at all. He is Monkey D. Garp, Luffy's grandfather.
