Luffy and Zoro stand silently on the dock with "ズタ" sound effects, watching the Going Merry anchored offshore. Inside a building, Usopp points forward while sweating, declaring "That town already looks like trouble. There's no way. Not now. Not never." Nami replies "Yeah... It's impossible... There's just no way those two are not gonna cause trouble!" Sanji adds "Well, I'm sure she'll be safe with those two..." as Luffy and Zoro dash off with motion lines and "たたた" sounds. Usopp yells "Wait! Luffy! Zoro! There she goes..." while Nami calls "Ahh, Nami!" Sanji concludes "WELL I CAN'T JUST LEAVE THEM BE!"

Sanji grabs Usopp by the collar, shouting "O-okay, okay! Just let go of me! PLEASE DON'T GO, SANJI!" as Usopp panics "I-I-IF YOU LEAVE TOO AND... IF THIS SHIP WERE ATTACKED, T-T-THEN..." Sanji retorts "NO, YOU STAY HERE!" while thinking "What, Nami's going outI Well, I'm outta here too then." with a "ガーン!!" effect. On the ship, crew members wonder "...I She's not here!I Where's Robin...I HmI" In town, a tall man in a skull shirt makes a peace sign as townsfolk react with "かゃ かゃ" sounds. A large figure in a striped cloak stumbles forward dramatically amid wooden buildings and palm trees.

Luffy shouts intensely with a close-up face, declaring "Not to fight in this town." and "I solemnly swear," as impact lines surround him. Townspeople react with "Uh huh. Uh huh." while one says "That's a promise, you two! Good!" Luffy and Nami stand together as Sanji comments "The moment you start trouble in this town, we won't be able to stay here any longer!" and questions "What's with that uninterested reply!I" Luffy replies "Yeah, yeah. That means we can't go to the sky either!" A large "どど" sound effect crashes as an unidentified person is struck and falls with "UGHH..." and motion lines.

In the streets of Mock Town, a pale man in a wide black hat tumbles from his skeletal horse amid a cloud of dust. Townspeople stare and murmur: "Ugh...", "Yeah, he fell off his horse.", "Look, he fell off his horse.", "HuhI Who's heI", "Yeah, he's coughing up blood.", "He's coughing up blood.", "SLUMP...", "COUGH! COUGH!". The fallen man, Doc Q, weakly asks two nearby figures for help: "Sorry for the trouble... The horse itself coughs violently. Luffy and a boy watch in shock as the caption declares "THE HORSE IS SICK TOO!I". Doc Q continues, "PANT... PANT... Luffy grabs one as Zoro and Nami watch. Suddenly a massive explosion erupts from a nearby building with "GUAHHHH!" and impact SFX "DON!!". The street erupts in panic: "THIS IS INSANE!", "5 PEOPLE JUST BLEW UP IN FRONT OF MY EYES!", "But when people bit into them...", "Who was offering some free apples.", "There was this weird guy just now.", "HUH!I WHAT HAPPENED!I", "THE WHOLE STORE'S A BLOODY MESS NOW!". Luffy munches the apple anyway with "MUNCH MUNCH" while Nami and Zoro stare in disbelief, one saying "DON'T EAT THEM, YOU IDIOT!" and another "THANKS A BUNCH! FREE APPLESI".

Zoro yells furiously at Luffy, "WHAT THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU'RE PLAYING AT!I", "GAHH! URP! I-IT'S... PASSED DOWN MY THROAT ALREADY!", "SPIT'EM OUT, LUFFY! SPIT OUT THOSE APPLES THIS INSTANT!". Luffy's face swells grotesquely with apples bulging in his cheeks. Doc Q grins widely in the background. A bystander gasps "WHA...!I". Zoro continues, "HE WOULD'VE DIED ON THE FIRST BITE... IF HE PICKED THE WRONG ONE.", "THAT'S A... SAFE ONE...". Doc Q laughs, "A REAL LUCKY ONE...", "GRIN...", while coughing "HAHAHA... AHA... COUGH! COUGH!". Luffy stares blankly with a question mark, sweat drops flying, as Doc Q remarks "DON'T WORRY...".

Nami panics, "I'm beginning to doubt we can even find any proper info in a town as weird as this...!", "NO, THEY DON'T!", "These things happen.", "DON'T LOSE MY HEAD!I DO YOU REALIZE YOU WERE ONE APPLE AWAY FROM LOSING YOURS!I". Luffy replies, "WHAT'S WITH THIS TOWN!I". Townspeople react: "How many people does that make nowI", "That wrestling champion again...!I", "He's beat down another one!". A figure on a rooftop laughs wildly "AHAHA HAHA!" while smashing the roof with "DON!!" and impact marks. Someone warns, "Best not to get involved with him...", "And it's not like he's even offering someone with a price on his head...", "Just who the hell is he...I". Luffy and Zoro glare as Luffy asks, "WHAT'RE YOU GETTIN' RILED UP FOR!I" and a voice says "CHAMPION...I".

Luffy, Zoro, and Nami walk along a wooden pier toward a large building labeled TROPICAL HOTEL. Palm trees sway overhead as birds fly by. Luffy remarks, "It's not too noisy here." Zoro replies, "Yeah, it's actually quiet." Nami wonders, "What about this place then...I" They gaze at the elegant villas on stilts over the water. Nami says, "It's like a floating ocean resort..." Zoro notes, "Look at all these villas..." Nami adds, "I guess even a town as wild as here has a place like this....Wow, what a lovely place." Zoro observes, "I don't see any people around, but I sure can smell something good..." The peaceful tropical resort atmosphere surrounds them.

Luffy tilts his head with a curious "HmI" as three turbaned men rush forward in panic, sweat flying. One cries, "S-sirs...I You can't just come in here without any permission!" Another stammers, "T-this is very troubling for me!" The staff shout, "Our 'Tropical Hotel' is currently rented out entirely to the Bellamy Pirates." Luffy's group stands surprised. Nami asks, "What's the big dealI We're just looking around." One man pleads, "So please leave the premises now, if you will—" Another warns, "I-if Bellamy were to s-s-see you here, it'll be disastrous!" Luffy questions, "HotelI This is a hotelI" A turbaned man yells, "Who's this bellamyI" while a woman reacts with "EEK!"

A tall man with long blond hair, sunglasses, a fur coat, skull shirt, and striped pants stands confidently with a woman in a matching fur coat. A sign identifies him: "First Mate of the Bellamy Pirates 'Big Knife Sarquiss' Bounty: 38,000,000 Beli". Sarquiss sneers, "Who the hell are these dirty little shitsI" The hotel staff grovel, "M-m-mister Sarquiss! I... Umm... No... These three are..." The woman snaps, "I don't care what your excuses are so just drive them out already! How much do you think we're paying to rent out this whole placeI" Sarquiss adds, "That's right! Beat it, kid...!"

Sarquiss laughs, "Ahahaha! A real joker, aren'tchaI You think you can kick my ass...!I" Luffy glares and asks, "Hey, can I kick his assI" Nami shouts, "NO!" Sarquiss tosses a handful of bills, saying, "Here, get yourself something decent to wear. What a bunch of ragamuffins." Luffy stares at the money in shock. Nami yells, "What a bunch of losers!" Luffy growls, "ReallyI You're giving it to meI" as the bills scatter. Sarquiss mocks, "AHAHA! What don't need the moneyI" while the woman laughs, "Ahahaha! What a bunch of losers!" Luffy clutches his face in anger as Nami tries to hold him back, shouting, "Come on! We're leaving this lousy place!"

A wanted poster of Monkey D. Luffy is shown as someone comments, "Those guys have managed to hold their own in their own way." A long-haired man with sunglasses leans in, asking "What you were hereI" while two voices call out "Sarquiss! Lilly!" and warn "Don't tease 'em too much, now." The group discusses the Straw Hats' resilience, noting "Still, they won't be able to keep up in the coming 'new age.'" and "But they're doing pretty good for 'normal people'...!" At the tavern bar, locals warn the Straw Hats: "So if you don't wanna get caught in trouble, you should leave right after." They add, "The log here takes 4 days to record," "But there aren't many normal folks here in this town," and "AHAHA... Yeah, I suppose it's normal to think that." Nami replies, "I don't know... This town just ain't right." Luffy and the crew react with surprise as voices shout "HEY MR.!" and "HEY MISTER!" A local suggests, "Then we shouldn't stay any longer than 2 days..." while Nami notes, "4 days, huh..." Zoro turns with a sharp "I" and the bartender reacts with "WhatI" and "HmI"

The large bartender enthusiastically bites into cherry pie and exclaims, "This cherry pie is... TO DIE FOR!" Luffy, mouth full of pie, shouts back with a disgusted face, "This cherry pie is so gross I thought I'D DIE!" Both men freeze in shock, sweat drops flying as they stare at each other. The bartender mutters "HuhI" while Luffy grunts "HmI" with tension in the air.

At the bar counter, a massive bearded man and Luffy both down drinks in one gulp, the big man grimacing as he yells, "This drink is TERRRRRIBLE!" Luffy mirrors the reaction with wide eyes and an open mouth. Nearby patrons begin shouting overlapping orders in a frenzy: "Know what, give me 53 cherry pies." "Actually, make that 52 pieces of meat." "Give me 51 cherry pies wrapped to go!" "Gimme 50 pieces of meat wrapped to go!" "Umm... I ain't the cook so I don't really care either way..." "That's right, I said 54 pieces of meat." "55 pies will do." "60 pieces of meat!" "70 pies!" "80!" "100!" The bartender looks overwhelmed as the chaotic demands pile up.

Nami bursts in angrily, shouting at Luffy, "Luffy! You promised, rememberI We don't even have the money to buy that much meat! We didn't come here to shop!" Luffy turns and snaps back, "Yeah, so what!I" The large bearded man leans in with a menacing grin, asking, "You a pirate...I" His eyes widen as he exclaims, "30 mil!I You...!I" Luffy and the man both shout in shock, "30 MIL!" and "BountyI" The man grabs Luffy by the collar, roaring, "I AIN'T LYIN'! IT'S THE TRUTH!" while Luffy yells, "Cut it out! LIKE HELL YOU ARE! STOP LYING!"

The large man steps forward with a heavy "STEP" as the bartender warns, "Now take this and leave. No roughhousing inside the bar," handing over a bag labeled "50 cherry pies." Outside the bar, the man turns with a dark silhouette and asks loudly, "IS THERE A PIRATE WEARING A STRAW-HAT HERE...I" A bystander recoils in terror, shouting, "I-IT'S BELLAMY!" while the crowd reacts with shock and the sound effect "ゴゴゴゴ" pulses around Bellamy's menacing grin.
